While there was quite a bit of seaweed on the beach, I was really impressed by how diligently the staff worked every day to clean it up. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Costly upgrades

My initial booking was for a fairly decent price but when I got on location I was being offered upgrades to a newer room which I initially declined, but when I got to assigned room I saw why I was being told to upgrade. I did so immediately and had to pay which was very disappointing! The newer room was way better compared to what we offered. However, it was also standard for what you expect to get when booking an all inclusive for 1 week with your children! Or just in general. Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort

The agent thru trip central Candice Anger was patient when helping me select Ocean Blue and Sand. Her recommendation was spot on with our every needs. The resort she recommended was impressive with the layout of resort and not over sized. The resort was amazing. The hospitality was great and the hotel was clean. Friendly staff and good food. Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa: Lovely resort with some wrinkles to be ironed out

The resort is aesthetically beautiful, so fresh and modern and visually very pleasing. Lovely rooms, pools, gym, restaurants, etc. The beach is quite wavy, with few people, so it feels like you the beach to yourself. On the flipside, it seems that in rushing things to open the resort to the public, it looks like some attention to construction might have been done haphazardly. The staff are very pleasant, however, a number of the workers in the restaurants do not understand English, so service was not always up to par. In general, the food was good, some things better than others. There is a good variety though to choose from, which is a plus. As well, many of the events listed on their activities schedule did not take place at all and/or ran late. However, the activities that took place were wonderful, and were run by an energetic and friendly entertainment team (shoutout to Yailin). Overall, a great place with a lot of potential. I chalk up the weaknesses to the « opening pains » of a new resort.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

This hotel is second best to None! The moment you step foot on the lobby you are greeted with a warm Welcome Home and I felt that vibe of you’re a family member they had been waiting! Our first dinner at the buffet my daughter already bond with Keila and every single worker is warm and accommodating and wanted to do anything that would make your stay relaxing pleasant and memorable. I loved Majestic Elegance Punta Cana. Very relaxing environment. The staff is great, kind, helpful. The room is clean, food is great,entertainment is great. I had great time during my stay. He may looking for tip but I gave the tip a day before to his colleague and I didn't have my wallet with me and I am over 50 years old and the staff was young. He didn't have his badge and I walked 20 meters and decided to go back and ask his name. I asked his name, he was with his collegue at that time, he took his id from his pocked and showed it, his name is ALEXANDER FRASER. There are many employees working hard and this person need to get some more costumer service training. He may be tired at that moment but We worked all year and saved money for this vacation and need to relax and have good time also. Overall everything was great.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort!

The grounds were beautiful. The kids loved the water park! The main pool had various activities throughout the day, which were fun! The beach was disappointing with the seaweed. I believe that the beach would have been gorgeous at a different time of year. The drinks were good and they had various different drinks of day. Lots of dining options for dinners. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Fair resort for what we paid

The hotel was clean , a bit run down, some renos required. Buffet was ok, a la carte restaurants much better . Pushy salespeople trying to sell timeshares . Very frustrating! Diamond club members favoured over non- diamond club regarding the app to book restaurants. Karina was very helpful . Give her a raise. More work required to clean seaweed on the beach .

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Needs facelift and less harassments

Resort grounds clean/ nice. Pools need staff cleaning cups /food inside. Beach needs cleaning. Terrible seaweed issue not dealt with every day. Watch out for some guest services personnel. Yaqui - very bad harassment on time sharing selling service. The only person we loved and appreciated was Carina. Amazing and caring Carina who helped us book restaurants. The App they provided only gave us a 9 pm dinner time line. I have been to several Royalton resorts and this one needs a facelift.  [... read more]Everything including building falling apart. Excellent service from the hotel staff, very clean amenities all around the facility, family friendly and detail oriented, very nice dining options for everyone and great entertainment schedule every night. Overall, very pleasant experience.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice Resort

The resort itself was nice. The service was not really great. The room were not really clean, we had to request to get it cleaned. No fresh towels, that was also requested. The food was also not that great. we got no proper service at the restaurants, we had to wait for our food like 2 hours. Even on buffet we did not get any attention from the servers.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Overall, our experience at Majestic Colonial was awesome. The food quality and service were excellent, and it’s worth highlighting how attentive and cordial the staff were. they were always ready to help. I especially enjoyed the fresh fish and fruits. One minor concern was with the housekeeping service. Although we requested our room to be cleaned before 11 a.m., it was usually done in the afternoon. Riu Palace Bavaro: Paradise

I miss this place already. Two weeks of paradise. Hotel was very beautiful. Christian from Elite was amazing person. He made us feel very special. Big thanks to Christian. Food was very good, room was always clean. There were a lot to do and two weeks was not enough. The beach did have a lot of seaweed and some areas did really smell bad. Beside that I cant wait to go back.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort

Ocean Blue is an excellent resort. The grounds are quite clean, the food is delicious with several restaurant option and variations. The service was great, especially our housekeeping lady, Odalisa and waitors Rafael and young Martin. The pool and entertainment great. I had a fabulous time and would definitely go back.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Nice looking resort

The rooms were large well kept property. We had problems with the air conditioning system & toilet being blocked & overflowing. The staff are friendly. The food was okay, there was lots of selections but reservations hard to get for our stay. Teppanyaki was a waste not enough food & no show we were done in 30 minutes & hungry. Beach was well kept we liked the service at the beach & even with seaweed season enjoyed the water. Entertainment was excellent day & night.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Three star hotel not four

Rooms are very outdated, this hotel is focused on their privileged guests, regular rooms are awful. The room we stayed in was missing hairdryer, the fridge was filthy, ceiling was leaking. The room was not ready for guests, linens were dirty and it took 3 calls to front desk for housekeeping to come and change the bed sheets.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Resort Needs Work!

Room: The rooms need updating. The door lock didn’t work. We had to call service 4 times to have safe fixed. The power outlet came out of wall when unplugging hair dryer. The floor shower cap was not secured to floor. The toilet leaked water all over the floor. Cockroaches in room. Construction taking place next door for Bavaro resort so very noisy from morning to late afternoon. Shuttle: VERY hard to get shuttle from room. Basically had to walk all the time. Food: NO variety. Same food each  [... read more]day. Service: was okay but people not very friendly unless you spoke Spanish. Beach: was okay. They tried their best to clean seaweed. Last 2 days they closed off a portion of the beach so access was limited. Pools: were clean but very limited seating options. Entertainment: only 2 nights they had a show but they were in a very small space and very crowded. Lobby personnel: were rude and not helpful.
