Riu Santa Fe: Friendly staff

Very well maintained grounds. Clean rooms. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Fantastic food with excellent choices. Only downside was, bathrooms are pretty far from the pool. I would return to this resort.

Riu Santa Fe: Extremely friendly staff!

I found the staff was extreme!y friendly and helpful. The maid was very attentive and also inventive with all her towel critters she left on our beds to greet us every day. The entertainment staff were also above and beyond in their helpfulness especially Juan. The resort was well maintained and things were fairly easy to find. It was a very relaxing vacation for myself and my spouse, mind you, if you wanted night life, it was available too. So basically there was something for everyone.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: absolutely stunning scenic location

The resort was exceptional-beautiful rooms-great service. Location and scenic landscape so beautiful-moutains, ocean-beautiful vegetation-cactus - tropical flowers. The only down fall were the restaurants-they really were ok-but not 5 star quality. The Italian restaurant Porto Fino was good and the Oceanea. I have had better food at other 5 star resorts. But it would not really stop me from going back.

Riu Santa Fe: Great resort and city!

My girlfriend and I had a great time at the Riu Santa Fe. The weather was perfect, food was sufficiently varied, and the staff were always happy and helpful. Beach was a little rough but it was worth it!

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa: Beautiful resort, great vacation

My wife and I just got back from Pacifica (Feb. 27-March 5) and we really enjoyed this resort. It's in a beautiful location along the Pacific coast of the Baja peninsula, about 10 minutes from the Cabo marina. It's on a mile long private beach (no swimming permitted but gorgeous beach nonetheless). The fact there are no vendors on the beach is heaven!! The resort is very beautiful...though some might not like the décor, it is minimalist, very spa-like, rather on the plain side but we liked the [... read more] look. Rooms are not that big but comfortable with large balconies and comfy beds as well. Our room was 1125 which gave us a great view of the pool area and beach too. There are stair and elevators in each building so you have a choice of use. The food is very good...there is a breakfast buffet in the morning (Sunday's is the biggest buffet)...you can also order breakfast à la carte. There are no other buffets..everything else is à la carte for lunch and supper, regardless where you eat which we thought was a great idea (no food lying out in a buffet line for hours)..we had a few suppers at Siempre and Pescados, both very good and the pool bar/snack bar Aire has great snacks all day long (nachos, ceviche, etc). No complaints on food..some say the portions are small but you start with an amuse gueule, an appetizer, then your main and finally dessert....enough food for my taste (plus a few drinks too)...if you haven't eaten enough, there is always room service available (order the carrot cake!!). We also had supper at the Quivira Golf Course (aka the Steakhouse) and we had the best filet mignon we have ever had..there is a 35$ (each) upcharge but totally worth it and don't miss out on the turtle cheesecake for dessert! You can go to one of the sister resorts as well. We had one lunch and one supper at Sunset (next door, up the mountain). The lunch was very good as were the drinks but supper was disappointing (the only time we did not have a good meal). First they ran out of sea bass, then steak). Take advantage of the many activities available on the board at the activity centre. You can register for what interests you and you don't get bothered otherwise. We took advantage of the following: hiking (thx Gabriel), tequila tasting (thx Ophelia), cooking class and cocktail preparation..many activities which were interesting for us, unlike many of the other AI we have been at (no pool bingo...woohoo!!). Many thanks to the friendly, capable and very accommodating staff..specifically Gabriel, Juan, Ricardo, Ofelia but also many others that made our stay memorable. Most everyone was friendly and in a good mood and everyone greets you. The landscaping staff does an amazing job with the desert plants and sands all over the property. As mentioned, the beach is off limits for swimming due to undercurrents and the steepness..once you get there, you will get the picture. It is a beautiful beach for walking or just to sit and enjoy the surf..soooo soothing!! Just sit on a beach chair at night and it will put you to sleep...Take a walk all the way down past the golf course for exercise..it will take about an hour for the return trip. Pacifica is a resort you go for quiet and relaxation...however be warned that there is construction on-site as they are building another block of rooms. There was a lot of jackhammering (especially the Tuesday we were there)...not so much the rest of the week and we kind of got used to the rest of the noise but it was still a bit bothersome. Something to keep in mind. We both had massages at the Armonia Spa..thanks to Betty for a great massage!! I went early to enjoy the steamroom, hot pool and shower beforehand and then the cold pool afterwards...left totally relaxed..:)... All in all, we really enjoyed this resort and would return for sure..thanks Pueblo Bonito Pacifica for a memorable vacation.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nice Small Resort - Relaxed Resort - Good location

Nice small resort with relaxed atmosphere and great location. Food is good with lots of variety ,although the the warm food at buffet/ main dining area could be kept hotter. Saturday check in was not smooth and poorly controlled as we came in with a large crowd on a Saturday, which I understand is the day with the largest group checking in. keep in mind you will not get your room before 3 pm , so bring your change of clothes in a carry on . You are able to walk to stores across the street and to [... read more] the downtown which is approximately 30 min away. Thursday night in town is the Art Walk , worth seeing . Easy to get onto decent local buses in the area for downtown or Cabo San Lucas, cheap. Rooms at the resort are nice and clean ,fridge is stocked with pop, Water and beer, you can ask for water in place of pop and or beer. Beach is great for walking , cannot really swim in the Sea though. Need US funds or pesos. MasterCard works sporadically.

Riu Santa Fe: Second time there and it got better!

We stayed at the Riu Santa Fe from Feb 25-Mar 3 of this year. This is our second trip to this resort as we went in March 2009 and lo and behold I think the place actually got better over that period! Not that we had anything bad to say about it then but I really feel that they have even improved since then. We booked through Debbie at Trip Central, that was a flawless and easy process. There were 6 in our group and she ended up getting us right next to each other in 3 different rooms. Great work [... read more]. We have travelled extensively with Sun Wing in the past and have never had any real bad experiences other than the odd delay here and there but they do a very good job as making things go very smoothly from start to finish. I recommend doing the Elite Plus, sure it's an extra $200/couple but you avoid lines, don't have to worry about weight in luggage and typically get better seats with leg room, being a tall person it's much needed as the seats are tight. Overall: Love it. We're going back. Riu chain is fantastic and I could sit here and rattle off some complaints but I'll stick with my general vibe and that's from a very good place! Enjoy!

Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort: Wonderful Trip

Hotel was lovely, grounds well maintained, food excellent! Few glitches with the Sunwing rep but otherwise a wonderful experience. Great location close to town and marina. Room lovely. People at the front desk, particularly Samantha, and at the concierge desk, particularly Elena and Carolina were exceptional. We were asked to attend a time share but after saying we were not interested, we were not bothered again. Wifi and internet were extra, the contents of the fridge were not included and we had to sign for all drinks and meals. These were not a problem. All in all this was a lovely property. We would return!

Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort with Breathtaking Views

This hotel is amazing from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The staff are so friendly and go over the top to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are average, very clean which is most important. The infinity pools and views are breath taking. The food is just okay but what are you supposed to expect when they are trying to please thousands of people. Overall this resort is fantastic and I will continue to go back.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Small but great resort

We had 8 of us who went on 1 week vacation there. The resort was small but very nice. Great food over all friendly staff. Had a few small issues with room which they took care of right away. entertainment staff did a great job trying to make activities fun for everyone. Did not offer bike tour which is in their write up online- that was disappointing.Bar staff were great trying to keep up with everyone. Had a hard time getting reservations for a la cartes but if you just go in - they ususally ha [... read more]ve cancellations or no shows so can get in..Because San jose is a small place - tends to be alot of people close to retirement age - not alot of people with teens there( or young children) Place was clean.Enjoyed trip, just know its small.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Awesome Resort!

We really liked this hotel and resort. The grounds were beautifully kept and the hotel was clean and well maintained. The rooms were quite large and very nice. The food was very good and the buffet had lots of variety, however, there was only one other restaurant. It would have been nice to have one more. There was lots of seating around the beautiful pools and also on the beach. The entertainment at night was also very good!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Trip was Great!!

The grounds and rooms were very clean!! Very friendly hotel with amazing staff that made you feel at home!! Beautiful beach to take long walks. Omar is great bartendar along with entertainment staff. Micquel our waiter was always there asking us what we wanted even before our drinks were empty!!

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome Holiday !!

We just got back from a week here on Feb 29..was an awesome resort ! Very large, if you stay in 7 you have a long walk to the lobby and buffet, but the steak house was close and had very good food. Found it was quite the party place, lots of young adults, not easy to get room in the swim up bar pools. Very nice beach, although you cant swim in the ocean here. We went on some very nice excursions. Large variety of food each day, but every day had the same choices. Our room was classed as oceanvie [... read more]w, and if you leaned over the balcony, you could see a bit of the ocean. We were a party of 3 adults, and found the room a little small for us, and not really set up for that many adults. Lots of closet space, and bathroom was nice. Minibar was good :) Good location as far as getting to Cabo downtown, and to the marina, was a short cab ride. Go to Cabo Wabo !!!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Disappointing

The hotel is a 3 star at best. We had a great group of people which made everything better but it was limited in amenities even water. Service was poor, food was not good. There is only one a la carte.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nice Vacation!

Smaller resort but very nice. Airport and check-in was extremely busy on Saturday so be prepared for long waits. The resort has friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, and a nice beach but it's not suitable for swimming. The pools are lovely.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful resort

The reception area is open, breezy and very welcoming. The hallways to the rooms have open windows so you can enjoy the views on the walk to your room - yes, there are elevators between floors. The rooms themselves are wonderful with comfortable beds, a/c and ceiling fans. The cleaning staff keep everything very clean. I have only one small complaint about the bathroom -- the shaving mirror is set for a 6 foot tall male. I'm a 5 foot female with bad eyesight and found it very difficult putting o [... read more]n makeup for the evenings. For meals we usually ate at the buffets. These always had a large variety with something for everyone. Loved the fresh ripe fruit. A real treat for us northerners in the winters. The two larger pools are great, one for those who want to be more active and play games and a quiet one for relaxing. The small kids pools are great for the younger holidayers. The beach is immaculate tho you can't always swim there depending on the undertow that day. The staff is friendly and always busy making you feel welcome or keeping things spotless. Riu Santa Fe: beautiful property-unswimable water

Hotel quite nice-food o.k. for all inclusive-undertoe 3 feet off shore. Property quite flat with ramp to beach,suitable for the disabled. Distance a little far for disabled to beach Hotel does offer w.c service to & from. Pools & grounds beautiful as well as spotless. Furthest hotel from town in hotel zone. Watch out for expensive (cheating) cabbies. There are set rates-Make sure what you're paying before you get in.

Posada Real Los Cabos: Needs work

For being a Best Western property, they should be ashamed. The outside of the property is well maintained, but step into the rooms, and everything is unmaintained.We had a dresser drawer front thar was falling off, the bath towels were horrible grey, bathmat was nasty, toilet seat was coming off. The staff were ok. Food, well, after day 3 breakfast, lunch, and supper all started to blend together. How many times can you have pork chops in red sauce? It is an older resort that needs lots of work.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Just amazing

Great food and hotel has great amenities including sushi bar and sky bar. Can easily walk to grocery store or nearby bars. Just an amazing vacation. People who complain about wait times or other minor inconveniences need to relax. If you want to be near all the clubs in Los cabos stay in the other side of town - it is a $45 US cab ride.

Posada Real Los Cabos: comfortable resort

Clean resort with friendly staff. Good service with adequate buffet style dining. Nice beach area, great for walking. Good nightly entertainment except for Karaoke night which was more like comedy night.
