Grand Palladium Jamaica: Had time of our life.

Our families have been to at least 6 resorts and we feel this has been the place. What made it so special: - service was fantastic, friendly, caring with a great sense of humour - spacious rooms with great ocean view - food was fantastic - many great restaurants to choose from every evening Beach is small but nice. Nothing like the great Cuban beaches.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Big Resort

We stayed at Grand Palladium Kentenah Dec 31 - Jan 7. Our family consisted of children ranging in age from 19-30 years. The resort was very busy given the time of year. We found it to be larger than we would usually like but provided lots of activities for the young people in our group. The buffets offered a large range of food that satisfied everyone. The service at the bars and the a la carte restaurants was not great. We had a plumbing issue in of our three rooms but it was looked after quick [... read more]ly and efficiently.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: awesome experience

We loved everything not one bad thing too say! We would love too try the grand palladium in Jamacia 😊🍻 we loved the location and we also liked having access too the colonial as well! Gave us more options, beach was amazing

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great resort

Room was nice and clean. Staff was great. Beautiful resort, lots to do for every age. Restaurant were good, lots of variety. Only complaint is the all the ala carte restaurants did not take reservations, we were 12 people, the waits varied between 1 1/2 - 2 hours. The resort is big but they offer rides to anywhere you want to go. We had a great time. Would definitely go again.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Beautiful Resort

We were very excited to arrive at the Grand Palladium Kantenah. It was a very special family trip as we had not seen our two sons in a year due to being relocated to a different province due to work. We were not greeted in the Lobby by staff, so we went directly to the desk to sign in. We were disheartened to learn that our request to our agent to have our family all in the same building was not registered? The room was nice but we did not receive the fruit basket that was advertised awaiting in our room. Our sons arrived a few hours after us as they were flying from Ottawa. They were given different bracelets then us and we assumed it was because they flew Air Canada and we flew Sunwing.However, we quickly learned that they did not have the same benefits as us ie. free towels, equipment rental etc. This did not make sense as the trip for all four of us was booked throught Sunwing with the same specifications. Our boys were not allowed scuba gear so my hubby went and was told he needed to show his drivers license and they could only provide masks. On a positive the Resort is beautiful, very clean, a huge selection of restaurants. Jungle like grounds with much wildlife, guests can visit the adjoining resorts Via bus or walking. There is nightly entertainment, excellent, friendly staff, amazing shoreline across a scenic beach, many walking trails and a selection of pools, bars and a spa. We were sad to leave the resort but also adjitated as our sons flight was delayed and Air Canada reps a the hotel were unable to inform us or assist us. We ended up having to make our own alternate flight rerouting arrangments to get him home. Sunwing was also confused. No one at the hotel knew where we would be picked up resulting in us making numerous trips with our suitcases between hotel Lobbies We arrived in Edmonton and proceeded to picked up our car in the parking garage. We were given a 100 dollar prepaid Card from our travel rep from Tripcentral to use towards our parking. But when we presented it to the parking Attendant we were told he could not take the card and that we were the third person who presented the Tripcentral card.I feel that Tripcentral should honor there promotional voucher and reimburse the persons who received these cards.

Would definitely recommend anyone to visit it we were very impressed with food & selection friendly staff & well maintained!!!Shows were great & happy we had all accesss to all Palladiums treated like Royalty

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Great family vacation!

I stayed at the Grand Palladium Riviera over Christmas 2016 with my husband, 15-month old son, and my extended family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews aged 3 and 5). The vacation and the resort were wonderful. Not 100% perfect, but there were far more pros than cons. Food. Overall, the food was fabulous. My only complaint with the buffets was the length of time it often took to get anyone to bring a highchair, and we often had to ask multiple people before a high chair would be brought over to our table. We tried 3 a la carte restaurants, and the beach restaurant (rice and fish) and the thai restaurant were both fantastic, although service at the beach restaurant was very, very slow to start. The rib restaurant was not up to par and I enjoyed the food at the buffets much more than the meal I had at the restaurant. I drank the house red wine and it was drinkable, except for some reason in the hotel lobbies they always served it ice cold which made it unbearable. Not sure why they do this when it is a normal temperature when served elsewhere. Child care. The baby club was wonderful. I took my son there for 1 to 2 hours at a time so that we could truly relax for some time each day. The staff were very nice, especially after they got to know him, and there were lots of toys to keep him busy. We also hired babysitters for 2 evenings so we could have a later dinner and not worry about our son getting tired and cranky and throwing his food on the floor. The babysitters were very sweet and we came home to our son sleeping peacefully in the pack-and-play provided by the resort each time. $10 US per hour was worth it for us. Pools, beach, amenities. Good! I knew the resort was not new and that everything would not be perfect (4.5 to 5 star Mexico standards are not like Canadian standards), but overall it was very clean and well maintained. The pools were large and we were generally able to find chairs at the pools and beach without too much difficulty. The beach was beautiful and the water is turquoise. The only complaint I have is that there are more rocks than I would like. Ouch! Distance. The one big, overriding complaint I have is the distances and the lack of consistent / frequent trolley service to and from our room. We stayed in the Riviera side knowing it was not ideal, but the time it took to get to the baby club and surrounding areas really detracted from our vacation. We almost always had to walk because there were never any trolleys around when we needed them, and it took a very long time because of kids and a stroller, plus were were always hauling our stroller up the stairs to cross the canals. I do actually love walking and love the "forced" exercise, but with kids we really found it a huge time killer when we just wanted to get where we were going and play, swim, and relax! Staff. 70% great / 30% indifferent. Weather. WONDERFUL. Rooms. Although we did not have a good view, the room was larger than expected which was nice. A very clean, perfect condition and nicely made up Graco Pack n Play was provided for my son to sleep in. The housekeeping was great and I love having coffee in the room each morning, so no complaints there at all.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Beautiful Resort

The property is spectacular and very well maintained. The food was ok ....the only negative I would say is that they don't take Reservations for the speciality restaurants,which could have you waiting for Couple hours. They expect you to stay right there in the line up. we went and sat in the lobby with the buzzer given to us and after hour and a half found out that they kept bumping other people . Also it's a little hard to communicate with the staff . One would expect that at least th [... read more]e front desk staff would be able to communicate well in English but it was a struggle ! We stayed in the junior suites and they were absolutely gorgeous !

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great Beach

We stayed in recently renovated rooms , which were quite nice, had to pay $50 per night for the upgrade which was worth it for a family of four. Grounds were well kept, beach was awesome. Service at the bars were great, however you had to ask for the top shelf drinks such as vodka and rums, but they did have it. Biggest downfall was eating at the a la carte restaurants. You couldn't make reservations without showing up at 5:30...even then at the most popular restaurants you might wait in lin [... read more]e for 45 minutes to make a reservation and then they would inform you that it was full for the night. If you were a member of Palladium travel clubs or if you were in the Adults only section of the resort you could make a reservation. The result of this policy, with kids, we ended up going to the buffet 3 of the six nights...which was ....buffet. I didn't pay this kind of money to eat at buffet restaurants for dinner and for that reason, I wouldn't recommend this resort.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Nice resort

Rooms were amazing. Property was beautiful and was very eco friendly. Cleaning and serving staff was really good. Administrative staff was not always very helpful. The staff working on the front registratuon of every lobby had very poor knowledge of the resort. The worst part was the "no reservations" policy at the specialty restaurants. We wasted so much time every evening. Even when we made the reservation the tables were given to people who came after us. Grand Palladium Punta Cana: A tad disapointing

We enjoyed the beach and the awesome weather. The resort was very clean and the staff was amazing. Really disappointed in the Christmas decorations or should I say lack there of. Not even a tree in the lobby. The food was good was lots of it. Would go back but not at Christmas.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Great place

All good no disappintments a little too far from the airport Staff were very friendly and approachable Variety of restaurants was excellent and even the buffet was a good choice for dinner beach and pools had ample space eve for such a big resort.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great place

The Grand Palladium us a great place to go. Being a very large facility has its pros and cons. Pro being so much to offer but con, having to walk or travel between the different resorts. They did have transportation available which certainly helped. Food was great which is important to us. However we learned very quickly to eat early before say 6:30 at the a la carts or you were in for a very long wait. There were many people complaining about this. There were quite a few inefficiencie [... read more]s at the a la cartes that could have been improved on to get people in and out quicker. For example one we went in we were there for almost 2 hours between start and finish. Another one, they were taking so long we decided to skip out on desert. People were all friendly and always willing to help out. Even though this was a busy time, was surprised there were not more issues in regards to getting chairs, etc at the pool. We had a delay getting to the resort......3 hrs from getting to the airport to getting to the resort. Next time, I would consider taking a private ride to get right there instead.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Good value

We stayed at the resort December 22-29 and overall we had a very nice trip. The trip was well priced which is one of the reasons why we booked there- it's promoted as a four and a half star resort and it is definitely not. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are all amazing and they work so hard however, our room was very dated, impractical and the bathroom was extremely grungy and mouldy; the food is fairly mediocre but we loved the Japanese ala carte. One of the best things about this res [... read more]ort is that there's tons of chairs and you never have to worry about finding a place to sit. Overall we had a great time and feel that we paid a fair price for what's really a 3 1/2 or four star resort we didn't get the deal we had hoped for but I would still recommend this family friendly resort to people. Biggest downfall was the check in and check out -both were tedious and unnecessarily complicated and convoluted.

Grand Palladium Colonial: Absolutely beautiful resort

Love the natural landscape, pathways to lobby & restaurants, trolleys to the other hotels. Pool and beach were amazing,staff was super friendly and helpful. Large variety of food choices. Would definitely go back.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Nice resort

The Resort and the beach was nice but the food wasn't the greatest, every buffet had the same food every day of the week.The night entertainment wasn't too good also....and when there was entertainment it was all in Spanish , not much for teenagers to do in the evening. There was no variety of different beers at the bars, always the same kind of beer...

TRS Turquesa: Superbe location, beautiful beach

Jennifer was extremely helpful in our decision making. We couldn't decide which resort to stay in and were getting side tracked by all the TripAdvisor reviews (from poor to excellent) So it was nice to talk with an actual person, and get an opinion from a professional. She was a joy to talk with, and was very quick to reply when I had follow up questions. First time in Dominican Republic for me, great experience. Grand Palladium Palace: Terrible Flight

Flight time was 8AM- we arrived at the airport at 5:20AM, completed check in, waited till 8AM, no boarding, no such announcement, so, we all had to be at the gate without going anywhere inside of the airport- at 8:10AM, the flight time changed to 11:45AM- again, no explanation. We waited till 11:45AM- no boarding at all- and around Noon- they started to board all passengers- and we had to wait inside of the flight till 1:40PM- NO Food- had to buy poor flight breakfast options to feed family.  [... read more] Flight attendants were very grumpy as they also were called to work on their own day offs. Understand the circumstances. However, we arrived to the hotel around 8PM (current time)- it was just tired, hungry, lost one day of the vacation. My mother got sick as spending too much of unexpected day- could not eat any food, and just stayed at the hotel room- hotel room did not have any sun gets into the room, smell like Fungus, phone/ security box not working- asked to fix them at the front desk couple of times, no one speaks proper English. Staffs were extremely nice/ very impressed by staffs- very clean- nice food- staffs were cleaning - tidy things up so well.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Dissappointing

When we arrived our room was not stocked with towels water or beer, we went without towels for 2 days. Chain lock was broken and hanging off the door. Shower and the room was not clean by any countries standards. Although there were some very polite staff most were rude and not very helpful. Room was so far from the beach and ameneties that we ended up with blistered feet. The good beach was not available to all guests, if you were a travel club member you had the good beach, if you are just a v [... read more]acationer you were segregated to a lower class of beach. To top things off on the 5th night, my pocket was picked by a vendor. The list goes on and on about the poor service and the staff. Very disappointed for my first trip to Jamaica.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Beautiful!

We had a wonderful time. The food was good and our room was nice. They have several different pool and beach areas to enjoy and the view is fantastic! We really enjoyed the many different themed restaurants!
