Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Great place for price.

Room was a third floor walk up which was updated nicely. A/C and fridge worked great, closet was big and warm and great for drying wet stuff. No musty smell which was a bonus considering age of complex. Grounds were kept very neat and clean. Food was excellent, drinks were good, service was quick and friendly. Bar staff could have been more plentiful at beach bar and pool bars. Beach was beautiful and loungers were plentiful. Could have used more facecloths when towels were changed. Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful beach

We have just returned from a one week stay at the Melia Punta Cana beach. I would recommend staying on the 2nd floor if possible. We had an issue with our original room and it was rectified quickly by Paula. The rooms are ok. Beds are hard. Food was pretty good. The Italian is very good. The beach was awesome. The drinks weren’t very good. They need to offer better quality liquor. Oftentimes the requested drink was not made. This may be due to the language barrier as many who work there don’ [... read more]t speak any English. I suggest boning up on your Spanish. All and all a great week. Beach 10/10 and resort 7/10

Riu Republica: First time to this amazing resort.

My husband & I were very impressed with the resort. Everything was well looked after by the staff & grounds people. The staff at La Altagracia & the bar La Guira were awesome. Always happy to see you, willing to help in any way & make you feel comfortable. The beach was great & we didn't feel that we had to "fight" for a lounge.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Stunning resort

A great resort, fantastic rooms, staff is great food good, but the recreational staff need to do more with guests. In a whole week they only got the guest doing games once for about an hr. They played more volleyball than the guests as some guest sat on the sidelines waiting to play while they were playing, shouldn’t happen it should be for guests to play and they supervise unless short. Other resorts keep their guest busy all day playing and participating in games all day every day. It makes  [... read more]a big difference for most people. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Family fun

This is our third visit, and we love the resort. The people and service are exceptional. Food, fantastic, one night I started with the desserts as there are so many to choose from, and they are incredible. We had Fransisco as our butler, and we told him of two birthdays we were celebrating. He decorated the rooms and brought cakes. Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Pleased

BlueBay was just as I expected! The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exactly what we wanted. There was a quite a mixture of entertainment for everyone of every age! The staff worked hard to engage and encourage participation. The downsides are the circle one reprsentatives hounding you everytime you passed by one, and the peddlers on the beach who would constantly try to sell you their goods even when you firmly declined! Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Resort

The Senator resort is not yet fully finished with its renovations but that being said it is a great place to relax and enjoy, very modern and sleek. Once fully complete (in another 6 months) the place will be fabulous. The rooms were clean, tidy and updated with extra amenities. The food at the buffet was very good and that says something considering that I had to eat gluten free. The two a la carte restaurants also had excellent food and good options. A couple more restaurants will be opening soon. The staff were all friendly and very willing to assist and serve. I would definitely recommend this resort for a great vacation.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Ok

Stayed here 2 years ago and liked it enough to go back. It’s not quite as good as it was. Food is ok, maybe above average but nothing to write home about. Entertainment is ok too, they did more 2 years ago, more interactive. Clean and well run. 3.5/5 stars.

Ocean El Faro: Ocean Blue And Sand - Good

Room was always cleaned well, but starting to show wear (shower trim was duck taped and slipping). Mini fridge was refilled 5 out of the seven days while we were there. The beach is nice, a little sand lost from rising water but still plenty to walk along I would guess 2 or3 kms in either direction. Food in the buffet was the same variety breakfast, lunch and dinner. We arrived at 5:45 they opened at 6:00, order was taken at 6:10 food never arrived we left at 7:00 after asking twice about our order. Drinks, you received what you order. Order Jack Daniels that is what you receive. Order Kahului, Bailey’s that is what was received no replacements

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: great place to vacation!!

Grounds beautifully landscaped,lots of chairs on beach and at the pools. Amazing a la carte restaurants and the buffet offers an amazing selection. Say hi to George at Archery!! Santa Domingo tour was a waste!!

Playabachata Hotel: Great Resort

This hotel although older is well maintained and kept very clean the food is above average and the service is great especially Maria Linda who always went out of her way at the buffet every morning to talk and be sure we had everything we needed. The alacarts could be improved just my opinion especially the Italian one I found it quite lacking but others may have loved it. All in all for the price a wonderful place to rest and holiday. A heated pool would be a nice touch.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Vacation

Great hotel, pool and beach! Nice size resort - great for families! Animation group were amazing - mosquito and chuwawa are the best! The Mexican and Brazilian al a cart restaurants were amazing too!! Bars only had one bartender at times which cause long line ups but the staff were all great! Will definitely go back again!!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Excellent Resort

The hotel and rooms were very clean, Grounds were very well kept, Food was excellent and shows were good. Very easy to get around since it is a smaller resort. Jackie at the quiet pool always made our day. Amazing Lady. Would definitely return.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Perfect for resting(bad shows though )

Food was perfect.. the entertainment shows were not the best. The drinks at the bar were either too much alcohol or too much ice (watery). The quiet pool was perfect to read. The rooms were decent....

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Great Vacation

The resort was lovely and clean. Our room was very comfortable and had great access to pool and beach. Pedro in the Grand Caribe buffet and Yuca restaurant made us feel very special. Henry at the Beach bar was also a standout server. We will definitely go back.

Excellence El Carmen: Excellent service but

The Excellence El Carmen resort is very nice but misses some of the atmosphere from other Punta Cana resorts we have visited. If you walk out of an early dinner , there is no good place to hang out with music other than one evening with a great electric violin player. It would have been nice to hear some Domenican music after each dinners ... The beach is nice with palm trees meeting the ocean (not as open as Bavaro beach) The food is well prepared and presented but it seems the quality  [... read more]of the food is inferior to other resorts we visited such as Paradisius, Majestic Elegance. We were disappointed that the buffet restaurant is not open for the evenings. My wife has some food sensitivity issues and likes the pick items from the buffet that agree with her diet. It is hit and miss if you order from the "a la carte" restaurants as you don't really know what you will get. This is the only reason we would not return. Every other resorts we have visited keep their buffet open for the evening hours. The food at the buffet is quite nice but this restaurant has no view and feels a bit like an office cafeteria. Like most resorts in Punta Cana, the shows are all the same and no one seems to understand that most people would prefer to hear local music and talent than Michael Jackson imitations. Overall, the service is superior and a good resort if you are looking for a quiet time.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: LOVE this place

I can't express how friendly, helpful and willing to make our experience just so incredible. The food, and service were more than we ever thought could be possible. The general atmosphere of the resort just wrapped around you and made you feel like everyone there was extra special and were to be treated royally. We can't wait to return for another pampering, oh-oh it' s starting to sound like we enjoy being spoiled, well, once in a while it feels really nice to be spoiled.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Be Live Marien

Other than our room being very noisy ,the couple next door had TV going full blast and one couple argue most of night in hall .Also had young people blasting a radio and dancing, laughing in hall. This was third trip to this resort ,staff are wonderful but these distractions changed things for us.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great resort for the price

Travelled last week in January. Stayed in Royal Golden and room was fantastic with beach view. The pool was very nice. Beach is ok. Would like to be closer to a town to visit but I was there to relax. Service was very good everywhere and would go back!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Resort

Great resort, lots of fun activities, huge swimming pool and very nice staff. Variety of Food through buffet and other restaurants. Beach is sandy and clean, however expect weeds on the shore though they try to clean up as much as they can.
