Iberostar Waves Cozumel: It was good to be on vacation

I will start off with "it was okay" people come here to get away from their busy lives but coming here did not provide any reprieve. The positive features of the resort is the cleanliness of the rooms, facilities, pools and lounge areas, my friends and I never had a problem the whole 7 days we were there. Staff is polite and not too pushy for tips, food was very good with a variety to choose from. Unfortunately that’s about it for positive notes, the resort is very small with not much to [... read more] do, my friends and I tried going on excursions to pass the time except any activity is extremely expensive. Mexican Pesos is a waste don’t bother with it they only use USD, if you try paying in Peso they convert it over costing you twice in conversion rates. My friends and I thought we’d try was scuba diving which once again isn’t cheap, and I recommend avoiding, the dive club on the beach is a big scam they’ll take your money and not give it back when the weather cancels the dive. I had the star prestige upgrade too which is a colossal waste, it is just a small hut at the corner of the resort that was too much of an inconvenience to go to and the rest of the resort didn’t do anything for prestige upgraded passes. Only when it was time to go home did I begin to relax, I felt like I was trapped on timeshare prison island getting flogged by sales and marketing people all day. Many people there only stayed 3 or 4 nights which is very smart, avoid staying a whole week it is very stressful.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Huge resort with pros and cons

Arrived at Sandos Carocol Eco resort March 31-April 7 Superior Select Club Adults only was assigned to room 7013. Upon initial inspection room was clean and even had a swan on the bed made of towels.There were no robes, slippers, welcome bottle of alcohol as inclusion stated. Rep made aware of this as she called to remind us about the briefing. We could not attend the briefing due to wedding breakfast. We assured her that the omitted inclusions were not a big deal as long as we had a safe and [... read more] clean place to sleep every night. Rooms are in need of repair as we soon found out. Maintenance was called to our room to fix the air conditioning, a toilet that did not flush, malfunctioning safe, and the key entry system took 5 visits over 2 days to fix. The last maintenance visit lasted from 11pm to 1;30am. Management did sent a note of apology.t is a great policy to have guests present when maintenance working, as it protects workers from undo accusations but takes away from guests vacation time. ANIMALS I, was entertaining to see monkeys come around the pool and posing for pictures, the Coati running free in packs playing in the leaves and different species of birds and insects. I dont agree with barnyard animals in pens, and there were to many deer in the pen. Anyone that can afford to travel here has already seen these animals.Guests should obey the do not feed the animal signs as it is for the animals protection as well as the guests. FOOD We enjoyed the Brazilian restaurant for lunch. There was lots of variety at the buffet, fresh fruit was excellent, but signage was nonexistent. Snack bar at night was disgusting. We went one night to find nacho sauce, no chips,4 pots of cold unknown food. GROUNDS The public bathrooms were clean and functioning. The grounds were clean and foliage and flowers were amazing. kudos to the gardeners. We could go for long walks on the beach but it was rocky in front of the resort. Nature decided to bring in lots of seaweed while we were there for the week. THINGS TO DO Take a bike ride, a walk to see lizards basking in the sun. See the beautiful water fall, old ruins, and the water park. Kudos to the bartender Rosario in the disco, the maids,the gardeners and grounds keepers and the cook who made my eggs to perfection every morning. Also to the staff involved in the marriage of my friend April 3 on the beach, dinner was awesome and service was amazing at the event.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Fantastic resort!

We had a wonderful time. The resort is clean, staff is friendly and the food was excellent! We can not think of one thing to improve. The only complaint we have is that 10 days was not enough. We will definitely go again to this resort.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Resort

Not a place to visit alone better for couples or families stayed in block 8 very compfortable Great entertainment Cab to 5th ave 370 pesos Shuttle from hotel 80 peso per person There is a variety of foods Rating 1-10 Mexican favorite 9 Steakhouse good 8 Seafood poor 1 Italian fair 4 Chinese fair 5 French didnt make it there Pool by beach our favorite plenty of activities poolside Left maid service small gift on pillow daily as a token of appreciation

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Amazing resort!

This place is amazing. Great food, staff, and environment. The beach was kept clean and we never had to fight for a chair. The rooms are spacious and very nice bathrooms. Recommend the Mexican restaurant.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Beautiful resort

The good: the grounds of the hotel is gorgeous, and very different than most other resorts, with the meandering lagoon. Staff are courteous and very helpful. Grounds are kept very clean. the included entrance to the different parks, tours and activities, to me, would be the biggest draw for this hotel. guests can choose to be as active or to just relax around the resort as they choose. the taco stand is a must try, truly awesome tacos! the sunday brunch at the Xpiral is awesome also. The [... read more] not so good: food in on par with other resorts of its class. Some good, some so so. Buffets lacks variety, which was a surprise to me, and can be quite a long wait, at least for dinner, which again, I didn't expect. The bad: shower temperature. it fluctuates constantly. one second it's burning hot, the next second, cold. apparently, quite a lot of other guests have the same problem also. All in all, other than the shower temperature, I have really enjoyed my stay at this resort. and would go back if I come across a good price.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Awesome Resort

Royalton Cancun is the cleanest Resort we have been to. The food is excellent the staff very helpful and friendly. A little disappointed in our room we had garden view and it was a forest no flowers just bush very disappointed. We have been travelling with Trip Central since 2012 and travelled twice a year with Trip Central’s assistance. The flight with sun wing was also disappointing a half a cup of pop or water. Trip central sends us a $100.00 voucher that we will never use, I suggest trip central should pre book our seats free of charge in place of a voucher we will never use. We have not received any incentive for using Trip Central since 2012. Not even a discount on our flights

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Great location

This Hotel was very well maintained, clean and a great location. I can see how some could be disappointed with their room location. The beach is very nice, they do get a lot of rocks washing up on the beach with the waves but they do seem to keep up with them and clear them off every couple of weeks. It would be nice if they had more English speaking hotel workers as there was a few times we needed some info or wanted to ask something and no one understood what we were saying..... including  [... read more]at the ala cart restaurants. The Dining experience was the biggest disappointment of all, the buffet was the smallest buffet I have ever seen and the choices were very small and did not differ much from day to day. We had a lot of stews and meats in sauces.... which where usually left overs from the day before. The salad bar was usually 4 bowls of different salads that were made up, the meats where more than often not even chewable. I was sick 9 of the 10 days and even spent 36 hrs in my room. Breathless Riviera Cancun: 5 star resort!

Amazing resort with top notch service. Very high quality, clean and great food. Endless activities - the E team made things fun always. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone and will definitely be going back.

El Cid Resort Castilla: Beautiful Resort —- love the 70s design

Staff were all so lovely. Food was something to be desired, as were the standard rooms but weather, beach and old town Mazatlán made up for it all + if you are into design the 70s vibe is awesome. The best resto is definitely the Mexican one. Drinks could be boozier. Wish there wasn’t so much soliciting on the beach by vendors.

Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: Great Food and Service but Daycare atmosphere

Pros: -Amazing food with easy access to a la carte dinners -Great service from all staff -Clean rooms grounds Cons: -Out of control daycare experience while at the pool and buffet area on the family side. Perfect if you have a 3 year old with you but not for couples travelling alone. -No sports bar -No alcoholic drinks before 11am (no baileys in your coffee in the morning, no mimosas, and nothing at any bar or pool) -Beach is full of seaweed. El Cozumeleno Beach: The El Cozumeleno

This Hotel was fine. We have been there now three times. The staff were, as always, very accommodating. The weather likewise. The Speciality Restaurant was excellent, one of the best. Two little items. There was no mini-fridge in the room, which would have been used by us. The other. The main Buffet was open to birds (Starlings) and they enjoyed the food even more than we did. OH well.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Great place to be

Everything was amazing here. The room was new, modern and huge. The unlimited room service was a savior for me and the food at the restaurants were was always fantastic. All the service was great, I have no complaints about any of it.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent resort

The resort was very clean with endless food and drink options. There are multiple resorts on the grounds. The golf cart transportation was frequent and fast. You did have to wait during peak dinner and show times for an available cart to go between resorts but that’s to be expected. Downside-the beach. The water is shallow and rocky. Not good for swimming but there’s always the pools.

Riu Emerald Bay: Beautiful resort something for everyone

The resort is beautiful and was super great value. We enjoyed taking walks down long beach as well as visiting various pools. We could find a quiet area to read or go to the adult pool to enjoy a drink and some fun action. While we are not ones to do the various daily activities …plenty offered daily. Buffets offered plenty of choices and staff provided amazing Service. Our room was beautiful with all room being ocean view. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Nicest resort ever!

Absolutely beautiful. Very nicely located, amazingly built in the jungle and you get to see monkeys! I visited with my daughter, son in law and my grandchildren. My grandchildren didn't want to leave, They had so much fun in the ocean and the swimming pools. Highly recommend to families.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: A star amount resorts ....the Iberostar Cozumel

Stunning, natural, unique resort. The Iberostar resort is beautiful. Lush green natural vegetation amount the cottages and pathways to the lobby, restaurants and the beach. The staff of the Iberostar were wonderful, professional and very thoughtful. The food selection was amazing. The food was incredible and plentiful. The spa area was beautiful.....and we enjoyed a couples massage. We were greeted daily by the pink flamingos and the parrots in the lobby, Peacocks roamed the reso [... read more]rt leisurely and were such a welcome site at the beach or pool area. Quite an experience. We will be back next year.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Nice resort

We had to ask to have our room changed because we were overlooking a horse barn even though we paid extra for an ocean view room. Also, I think the resort should be more upfront about the amount of stairs and long distance it is to get to the dining or the pools.

Allegro Cozumel: Great resort!

The grounds were kept so well and the rooms are nicely decorated. We loved the premium section with the amenities in the clubhouse. Continental breakfast every morning was just right! Our chamber maid kept our room very well and always made us feel special. The only downside was the pool table needs to be refelted and only one cue is not broken.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Perfect Family Vacation

We truly enjoyed our experience at this resort. The resort itself is large with lots of choices for dining and swimming. The staff is very friendly and the resort is very clean. We wouldn't hesitate to return!
