Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: The high numbers of excellent and good reviews tells all

The group of buildings that surround the pool are so close to the amenities. It makes it very convenient. The beach is 1 Km away but the shuttle service is fantastic . Gets you there in minutes. Buffet food was excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Punta Cana Princess: Great Resort, Will definitely returning!!

This resort was great, from the room view to the beach and the food. The staff was fantastic, ready to look after all your needs. It's a small adults only resort, which was great. We had assess to the sister hotels and their restaurants. Food there was great as well. No line ups for food, and I like that there is no reservations needed for dinners at this resort. Beach party one night. If your looking for a relaxing getaway you have found your stop. Only down side, the bed was a little hard for he. The pillows aren't great! Other then that no complaints.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: one of the best resorts

My husband and I have done a lot of traveling and I have to say that this was one of our top favorite spots. The people are fantastic. The food was great, the grounds are kept very clean. The only thing I would suggest is a copy of the activities should be in every room. Booking with tripcentral made it very easy to book this vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful resort

This was our third stay at the Luxury Grand Bahia Principle Ambar resort. We love all things about this resort. The food. Rooms and grounds are all great. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Our pool waitresses Bianca Ana and Marlene remembered us. They helped celebrate my husband's birthday at the pool with balloons and sang Happy Birthday. This was really appreciated. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Extremely Disappointed!!!

We had heard so many great things about this hotel and very excited to see what it was all about. We were a group of 13 people on this trip celebrating my father in laws 70th birthday and my 10th Anniversary. When we arrived we were all spread apart as far as room. Some of the rooms didn't have enough beds to accomodate those in the rooms. Some beds had no sheets on them and ALL beds didn't have any blankets. They had put an Anniversary banner on our front door but forgot the Birthday banner on  [... read more]my fathers room. They didn't book enough sittings for the birthday dinner reservation and forgot the cake. The housekeeping was horrible and had to ask her to come back to re do my room on a couple different days or had to request replacement of things within the room. I did not see ONE cleaning lady in the hotel other than the room cleaners. The bathrooms were disgusting and always filthy. We were told too that we couldn't stay on the first floor for easy access to the pool with children due to safety reasons and there were people staying in those rooms with small children. The people were not overly friendly at all. They never went out of their way to do anything for you even if you tipped. There was small plates of food delivered every second day to some of us and not all. My parents received a plate of food in their room for when they returned that afternoon and by the time they came around 5ish the plate was full of ants. Not good at all!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent resort!

The general staff were very friendly, courteous and accommodating. We felt very comfortable with them. Beach was superb, beautiful white sand and inviting waves. Rooms was very adequate and maid service was excellent. Dining staff in the buffet were attentive, prompt and professional yet so cheerful. The food was more that we expected in terms of quality and quantity. Grounds were well kept and mobility around this huge complex was never an issue. We are planning to return in the near future.

Riu Bambu: A Resort that did not meet expectations

We were so disappointed with this resort. Our room had a number of issues, the service was non existent, the grounds were dirty and unkept and the food was inedible. Three of the eight people we went with were ill for most of the vacation.

Riu Bambu: terrible food/terrible service

We went to this resort with 3 other couples and 3 people from our group got very bad food poisoning. The food was terrible and we found the resort to be a bit on the dirty side. We would never recommend this resort to any of our friends or family. Non of the staff knew English which made it very difficult to communicate and if you called down to the front desk for something they would just hang up on you because they didn't know the language.

Grand Palladium Palace: Grand Palladium Palace Resort

Just arrived home from our lovely vacation which was awesome. The resort was immaculate, room was clean and beautiful. The food was great with a lot of selection at the buffett. Most people spoke English which was a blessing, since our spanish is limited. Overall, we are going back next year as it was very relaxing, maybe a bit too relaxing. In my opinion they could improve on the night life, but that is minor. I would give this resort 4.5 out of 5.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Great food friendly staff

The food was excellent...service was above average, the staff were very friendly. The beach and pools were excellent, room was clean and good maid service - negatives...... we felt there was no real benifits to being in "preferred club" the Bali beach beds that were advertised were not up and beach wait staff were very slow (even with great tipping) ran out of premium liquor (frangelico) and was never restocked when requested. Overall 8/10

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Great Time

The staff at the resort were great. Very friendly, entertaining and pleasant. The food was always fresh and yummy! The restaurants don't need reservations and the buffets are outstanding. The rooms were spacious but could use more drawers for storage. There are lots of beds available around the pool and there was great space at the beach as well. We would definitely recommend to stay here to friends and family and we'd love to go back soon!

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Relaxing Vacation

Overall the days we spent at this resort were quiet and restful. We had one day when the hot water was interrupted, but it was repaired by the next day. If you sign up to look over their time share options, be aware that it will take 4 hours out of your day, not the 1 hour they promise when you sign up. The worst part of the food was the bacon. If you are looking to go to a specialty restaurant, sign up for the steak house and t [... read more]he french restaurant ... they are the best by far. The rules state men have to have long pants at the specialty restaurants, but this is not true. The only one that enforces long pants is the french restaurant and steak house.. Everyone wore shorts at all the others. At the on site drug store you can buy 8 Viagra pills for $45 US over the counter.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Excellent Service

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Exceptional Resort!

This hotel was beautifully maintained. The landscape and pools are gorgeous. It has an easy access to the ocean with lots of cabanas to sit under during the day. The food was so delicious and the servers had a great attitude. We really enjoyed our week away at the Majestic Colonial.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent adult-only resort!

We enjoyed very much our stay in this amazing resort. Clean white sand beach, good food, and interesting activities. We were impressed with the warm reception upon our arrival. Internet service is ok! We might return again.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great Resort

PROS: Grounds were well maintained. Beach had minimal seaweed, ocean was very wavy every day. Lots of free beach and pool chairs/beds. No towel cards, you could take as many towels as you like per day. Rooms were clean, well stocked. Entertainment during the day by the pool was good, Luis was amazing! Hard working man. Restaurants at night were amazing. Italian and steakhouse were the best! CONS: AC did not work well in rooms. Buffet was standard, nothing special (would be nice if AC was turned on in the food area - beyond sliding doors). Entertainment at night was poor, very boring. Main pool would have been nice if there was a swim-up bar. (Only diamond club visitors had access to a swim-up bar).

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort!!

Everyone (the staff) were so friendly!! Like they were waiting on you no matter what time of the day was. There was so much entertainment that time flies by. Beautiful well kept landscape and resort. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a getaway!

TRS Turquesa: Very good experience some exceptions

The hotel is very lovely, 5 stars to the grounds keepers and the house keepers, 5 stars to staff in French and Gourmet dinning rooms especially dinner. Bar staff at swim up pools 5 star to 6 star. Small points to consider: visited concierge 3 times in the premium deluxe royal suites. There was no other guests in each case scenario. Staff either made a call out when we sat down or started typing on phone or computer. We asked about reservations and they ignored us or just offered a hostile s [... read more]tare. On our the third attempt we requested what was on the menu. A hostile response was "what do you think... meat". We noticed this same type of treatment at the royal suites pool bar near the beach to another guest and were treated to hostility and poor service here only. The other bars were excellent and the service was 5 star. We choose to walk to the other beach bar on the regular side. Excellent service. We have vacationed at the Jamaica palladium...all 5 star to 6star treatment. We have vacationed twice at the Puerto Vallarta resort and also found 5 star treatment. We tip generously on all occasions. We are professionals that do not overeat or overdrink on vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: A bit of a let down

The room we stayed in was very dated and had a foul odour. However it was centrally located on the resort and there are other updated rooms. The grounds of the resort were exceptional. Beautifully landscaped and very clean. The pools were awesome, as were the pool bars! The beach was nice but there was a lot of seaweed on the beach and along the shore. It was not what I was hoping for. The Riu was close by and they had people on the beach raking the seaweed up so their guest would have a clean b [... read more]each to swim and walk in and on. The food at this resort is what kept this holiday on the plus side. The buffets were great! And the a la carts were fantastic. ( maybe avoid the portofino resturant). We paid just under $1000 pp. I can honestly say I woundn't spend anymore than that to go. It's a 5 star resort but I would give it 4-4.5 stars at best. Just my opinion. I would still recommend it if you can get a deal. One other thing if you are looking for any sort of night life on the resort... good luck they close everything up quite early at this place. Surprising for an adults only resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort!

Very clean, rooms are well kept and food was amazing. Will totally recommend to families with small children. The hotel is close to the airport which is very convenient. The water park is great for young children. It was easy to make reservations for the a la carte restaurants and food was really good. Loved the entertainment especially for children. There was always beach chairs available.
