TRS Coral: Great Resort - still some bugs to work out, but Beautiful

The staff are tremendously friendly. We made friends with many of them. Shout out to Aurelia & Yuri, they are the best! So friendly, willing to help and genuinely happy to see you. The beach was nice, clean and lots of area to get shade if wanted. Same goes for the pool. Plenty of lounge chairs! The boat taxi was a nice touch. Overall this is a great resort. I imagine in time it will be right up there with the best of them!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice place to kick back and relax or not. Lots of choices!

Great grounds, Food was excellent! The staff went above and beyond. Great place to recharge. We really ourselves and everything that was offered. The spa was fantastic! Great place to spend a day don't pass this up!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful resort. Excellent Service. Well maintained. I recommend.

The grounds, amenities, food and drink were all top notch. The staff were probably the nicest I've ever had on a resort. My only issue was the mini fridge wasn't really up to snuff... but who cares really? I would definitely recommend this place.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: All in one resort !

This resort is a family gem! My girlfriend and I went and left our husbands at home - we were happy to be in adults only select club for the quiet pool area and beach area. If you are with your family there is so much to do for kiddos! we were also entirely entertained through the week. Amazing staff, great food variety, lovely atmosphere - the temazcal ceremony with Jesus was nothing short of magical. The cenotes on site are also divine! Would10/10 recommend for resort travellers :)

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Perfect location for resort. Loved our ocean-view room; which was actually close to the ocean!

The grounds, public areas and rooms were adequately well kept. Loved the fact that reservations for dining were not necessary so we didn't have to feel pressured to be on time anywhere while on vacation. Food was good but would have liked to have more Mexican cuisine, as we love to experience the food of the country we're visiting. Nightly entertainment was a disappointment unfortunately. While we were allowed to attend the shows and activities at the sister hotel, we expected to have nightly en [... read more]tertainment of a better quality at our hotel. While the entertainment crew tried their best I'm sure, it seems that more experience/knowledge in the field is required. As guests, we wanted to be entertained; not to be relied on to be the entertainers. Guest participation should be post formal entertainment, which should ideally be featuring the culture of the country.

Moon Palace Cancun: Good resort

Really good place lots activities but beach is not good at all very dirty beach food was good and service was excellent lots activities to do really peaceful place far from city and hotel zone beach not clean at all

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

I usually never write reviews but I feel that based on a few of the issues; a review is warranted ...The check in process is a little too long; they don’t offer you welcome drinks; water etc while you wait, you wait in line with everyone else checking into the resort With one girl doing all the check ins with many others staff standing around, after you check in you have to see another person that takes you thru all the specials the resort offers; spa, dinner specials etc... you then have to  [... read more]wait again for your luggage and to be shown to your room; still 1.15 hours later we were not offered a drink while standing and sitting around. The staff doing the check in were not overly happy or friendly ... I thought this would be a place they want to leave you with a good first impression ... We got to our room only to find out we have two double beds: bearing in mind that we are away as a couple for the first time without kids in years so this was a let down; when we asked about a king bed we were told they don’t have one in the resort available - BUT the next check in guy tells us the hotel is at 65% capacity? Doesn’t make sense... on day 3 of 5 they called us and asked if we wanted to move... we choose to stay where we were to avoid spending time packing up agains and unpacking when we only had a 5 day stay, we wanted to make the most of our time not spend it shuffling rooms. After checking in we went to the jacuzzi pool and went to get a drink; walked up and got totally shafted and ignored and were told they are closed! That they closed that bar at 4pm!! Insane! Two bars- swim up and main pool by 5pm were shut down and no pool side servers around ... we had to walk to the grill bar to get drinks to bring back and sit in the jacuzzi with! We didn’t think much of it just went on with our day that maybe it’s the end of the day and that’s why staff are grumpy/ bar is closed etc; this wasn’t the case all week we got VERY little good service unless we had a 5$ bill in hand; and we do tip at every drink delivery even if we wait an hour for service... we aren’t cheap people ... but the service was subpar all week and I think that bothered us most.. we truly had high expectations after reading so many good reviews ... it was a let down ... The rooms are very clean and well kept; the resort itself is amazingly beautiful, beaches have a ton of sea grass but they maintain the ocean front very well... the poolside entertainment is on the lower end and no nightly entertainment except one night in the theatre. The spa gift card we got from Wendy for 200$ was not valid for a massage we were ONLY allowed to use 40$ of the gift card towards the service .... again totally letdown as I wasn’t going to pay 150$ American for a massage and only 40$ of the gift certificate was able to be applied .. it was a total “spring” break feel by day 3 with the level of partying and drunks; this part doesn’t bother me because everyone should have fun while they vacation! The food made both my husband sick and in the bathroom most of the vacation .... again I don’t ever post reviews but I’ve never been to a resort where I felt so many things went wrong and the service was ultimately kinda blah .... we left feeling pretty let down ...

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Good Resort

When we arrived at the hotel our room was not ready yet....this was at 2:30pm. They asked us to come back at 3pm to check in as our room would be ready. We went back to check into our room and it wasn't ready until 3:45. While we were waiting for our room to be ready we booked our 3 a la carte dinners. They said they would squeeze us in as they were booked solid. Upon arriving at each of our a la carte meals the restaurants were 3/4 empty. I don't understand why they made a big deal about bo [... read more]oking these a la cartes when there was lots of room to fit us in. The Mexican and Steakhouse were very disappointing. The Mexican restaurant didn't have many selections and the Steakhouse overcooked the steak. The entertainment was good but way too late for kids. The entertainment started at 9:30pm and ended between 10:30pm and 11pm. It was pouring rain out and all rooms were suppose to have an umbrella in the closet. We did not have one and we requested one from the front desk and never received one. We scheduled a pick up the night before we were to leave with the bell boy for 8:45am the next morning. No one showed to pick us up and nobody answered the phone when we called. We ended up having to walk our luggage to the front. On a positive note the buffets were fantastic. The waiters were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The bartenders were great with our kids who loved ordering different drinks. The entertainment staff was fantastic as well. We enjoyed the shows and events that they put on throughout the day. The resort was very clean. Our room was cleaned daily and the fridge was always refilled. There was lots of wildlife which was a big hit with our kids. The wifi was good as well.

Allegro Cozumel: Amazing resort

This was one of the best family vacations we have had. The recreation staff was excellent none stop fun.... all staff was very friendly the resort was always clean. Food was great! I can’t say enough about this resort it’s a must stay for anyone. Thank you allergro Cozumel we will be back for sure !

Sandos Cancun: Ok, resort

I did not particularly like this resort, really small and not much to offer. Service was good because we were constantly tipping. It is something that we like to do, we don’t mind spending money on tips. Pools water was really cold, hardly saw anyone swimming. Staff was really nice, except for the young lady who check us in on the first day, extremely rude. Entertainment team worked really hard to keep everyone happy. I would not return to this resort again.

Tropicana Hotel: Great location

The hotel is sort of need a bit of freshen up, they have a newer addition adjacent to the original building which is nicely appointed. The beach is nice with enough beach chairs and lounge chairs for everyone. The location is excellent as it is in the Zona Romantica rather than in the Hotel strip like Florida, it is within walking distance to everywhere in downtown Puerto Vallarta. Restaurants and Street Eats everywhere. Overall, it is good value for the price I paid, I enjoyed my stay there and [... read more] I probably will return.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Spot

Bahia Sian Ka’an is a very quiet corner of the much larger Bahia Principe Riveria Maya resort. A spot to relax. Great pool with pool side bar service. Activities optional. Great food and a jungle location.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Mostly Great just needs a little work

Just returned from a week at Sandos Playacar we did the select club (adults only) The entire hotel grounds are beautiful. Every staff member we spoke with was helpful and always asking if they could do anything else for you. My reviews tend to be long so I’ll try to break it down so you can just skip to what you’re looking for. Check in- Was faster and easier than at any other resort I’ve been to. She ordered us 2 Margarita’s and someone brought them over from the bar she put our bracelets (*room key is on your bracelet and is a great idea I never had to worry about carrying a room key or losing it LOVED THIS) on and introduced us to a guy that was there for the upsell. We actually agreed to go on the “elite upsell tour” and were promised 2 50 minute massages. Did the tour the next morning it’s 90 mins the first 30 you just eat breakfast with the lady and talk then we were shown the construction and new area on the beach and the elite haciendas we came back and sat down to talk $. We told them it wasn’t for us at this time and they weren’t pushy at all she calls the manager over he offers another smaller package and we said no and they gave us our vouchers for massage. This wasn’t an unpleasant experience at all it was actually nice to walk the grounds with her because she showed us stuff we probably wouldn’t have found on our own and what we had access to and what we didn’t. The voucher said 2 relaxing massages and you could upgrade them if you wanted I thought they would be pathetic lightly rubbing massages and they weren’t at all they were amazing massages right on the beach very much like I get from my RMT at home it was absolutely worth our time to do this. Beach - amazing huge white sand beach in the select club area with lots of seating maybe not all had shade but the sun moves and lots of people just moved their seats either in or out of the sun. The select club never seemed to have much for "entertainment" The days we were there they had darts for about 30 mins, a stretching class and a very small very inactive dance thing going on. We went over to the family section of the beach a couple of times thinking maybe that's where the entertainment was but everything is like island time and if it says 11am they didn't start setting up until 11:30 or 11:45 and did it very slowly still no music or high energy anything. Pools - The adult pool is BORING if you are looking for a very quiet relaxing vacation you'll love it it's just not for us. There is never any music being played the only "entertainment" there was bingo or water aerobics. There is a small shallow pool with a ping pong table in it that was fun and a pool with a volleyball net that's never used they seem to use that pool for scuba lessons. Also it doesn't have a swim up bar. The pool in the family section (old adult section) is where it’s at. There is a swim up bar and tons of seating didn’t matter what time we got there we could always get chairs. People here were having way more fun volleyball was always being played some people had their own speakers and at the far end away from the bar is a shallow pool where most of the little kids played. The New Area - We went over here looking for entertainment and found that beach has a shortage of seating especially with any kind of shade. The pools over here are the elite "black bracelet" the kids water park and another pool with a swim up bar. It was crammed over here and unless you do the 6am towel on chair thing you probably weren't getting one because there wasn't many. They do serve a lunch here but they didn't cook hotdogs or hamburgers unless they were ordered so you had to wait but they had ribs and chicken cooking the whole time it was just weird and caused a jam up of kids waiting for burgers or dogs for 15 mins. A La Cartes – We tried the Brazilian, the steakhouse and the Asian. All were amazing! Not sure why people complained about waiting we were told the one night the Asian would be an hour wait there is a bar upstairs you can go have a drink at and wait we decided to just try another because it was already almost 8 and come back at 6 the next night. We walked around the corner to the Brazilian and walked right in we were served by Carlos for the night and he was Amazing! The steakhouse we went around 7:30 and got right in. The Asian seems to be the busy one that you want to go at 6 and sign in when we went back the next night and were sent right in. Dress code is very weird A family ahead of us at the Asian the man was told he couldn’t wear his sandals in they were almost like Birkenstocks and nice looking my boyfriend was allowed to wear his because they had a back strap??? Basically no dress code for women but men couldn’t wear thong sandals. They could however be in t-shirts and backwards hats with running shoes on. Which I really don’t care they’re on vacation too but to make men run back to their rooms to get running shoes on or strapped sandals didn’t make any sense. This also seemed to be the only restaurant that enforced any kind of dress code. Buffets – Were great with lots of food choices. Breakfast was awesome and never any shortage of bacon like I’ve seen at other resorts. Food wasn’t always as hot as I like it but that was the only downfall you could always just wait until they refilled something you wanted it happened often. Cupcake Café and Burrito Place – I don’t drink coffee but my boyfriend went every morning and loved it there were lots of choices and the girls working there were always very sweet and worked fast when it was busy. The cupcakes were delicious as well. The Burrito Place I can’t remember the name of but it’s right next door was amazing we ate lunch and late snacks there a few different days!!! Staff and food was awesome here Bars – The beach/pool bar in the select area could use more staff they were always getting slammed and people lining up. The premium bars in the meeting place and main lobby were excellent big shout out to Rodrigo at the meeting place premium bar for making the most delicious Miami Vice’s ever and lots of them! Rooms –This was a downfall for me. The select club rooms are in a great area close to the beach but they need some work. No lamps on the nightstands and only 1 plug beside the bed and one in the bathroom (these aren’t double outlets it’s literally 1 I had read this in a review and brought one of those plugs that turns 2 into 6 but couldn’t use it so bring a power bar). The nightstands are also solid so no drawers there are only 3 small drawers on the table with the TV. There is a coffee maker there also that you would have to move to an outlet to use. It really just takes up space as I didn’t meet anyone that used it because of the Cupcake café they could go to. Housekeeping was a little lacking and typically cleans like a teenager basically if they don’t think mom would see it they skip it. There was a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket and a plate with 2 chocolate covered strawberries wrapped in saran wrap that we didn’t eat or drink. The plate sat there for 5 days with the fruit rotting. Mirrors were never wiped down and had splatters from people brushing their teeth from before us that were still there when we left. Counters weren’t always wiped. I think the housekeeping has too many rooms each and that’s why they don’t have time to do everything properly. The fridge was supposed to be restocked every 2 days but was only once during the week. I just asked the guy at the premium bar for a can of sprite every day and put it in myself. People that complain about the walk. It’s literally 5 mins from the beach to the family pool area past the reception. We took the trolley twice. Once because they stopped and picked us up on our walk because it started raining. They run multiple trolley’s back and forth all day so I don’t understand what people’s problem is with this. The walk is beautiful with lots to look at I stopped every day and visited the Donkey. And right outside our balcony one day was a bunch of monkeys we counted 9 come in from the side and then realized more were coming from the roof right above our balcony along the walk you could hear them and if you looked you could find them hanging in the trees. All in all because of the lack of more lively entertainment (games, sports, music etc.) this probably isn’t the resort for us at least until everything is finished. I would very much consider Sandos again when looking for future vacations.

Riu Palace Baja California: A good vacation

Just came home after a 12 day vacation at this resort. Overall we were very happy with the resort. It is extremely clean. They are cleaning all the time and picking up any trash etc. You can tell the staff really care about the guests. They are always trying to accommodate any requests that you have. The rooms were very spacious and cleaned perfectly every day. We loved the bars and look out area on the second floor. It was such an amazing view. At the morning buffet, Suzanna looked after us and always made a table for us as there were 6 of us travelling together. She also worked at night at Krystal. Thank you so much Suzanna. I also want to thank Jimenez, Rivera, Luis and Ramon at the Indian restaurant. They were all so nice and looked after all our needs. I am not a fan of indian but my group loves it so we went there 3 times. They helped to accommodate my food order so I had something to eat They were extremely happy and we had an awesome night each time we visited. Overall we were very happy with the resort. I think there are still a few kinks to iron out at the restaurants as a new resort but you can tell they are trying really hard to make everyone happy. On a side note, it was so hard to watch when people were abusing the staff due to wait times at the restaurants and service. These employees are working their butts off to make us happy. You are on vacation and no one deserves to be treated the way some of the guests were treating the staff. Everyone should be grateful to have the opportunity to travel and relax. The staff are working to the best of their ability which we thought was amazing. Thanks to everyone that makes this resort a good destination to stay. This is our second vacation at the RUI, first one at Santa Fe several years ago. I would recommend this resort for the price point, cleanliness and the amazing staff that are there to serve you.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valentin Imperial

We just returned from the Valentin Imperial and have nothing but positive comments. The grounds were spectacular. So much greenery and was very clean. The food was excellent. We really liked the music that played throughout the grounds. We particularly like the buffet down by the beach. It was so nice to hear the waves and feel the ocean breezes. Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Everything we needed!

This hotel was great in every aspect. The service was friendly and prompt, the food was plentiful and tasty, and the beach is a true gem. I appreciated the smaller size of the hotel because that allowed for more focus on each guest, we felt taken care of. We had a few hiccups with our room and the front desk staff helped us right away, it was a memorable trip.

Riu Dunamar: Great experience

Me and my girlfriend went on this trip both first time at an all inclusive resort. We Loved the experience. The Food was amazing, we tried out all the restaurants! Staff was very accommodating. Would return

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: I will call it Home .very comfortable ,exciting people to look after u .this was our 3 time stay at Heacianda Bonivenrura resort .

Very nice ,ground r beautiful ,nice views ,big beautiful rooms with room service morning evening .lots of food all day long .drink all day till to get drunk & hit the bed . Van service to the beach 🏖 5 minutes away & also have food & drink free to keep u enjoy the beach .

Breathless Cabo San Lucas: Not going back

This resort is in a great location, rooms are o.k., food is hit and miss, breakfast buffet is the same everyday with not much selection at all, staff is great,,don't like the fact that pools are so far away from each other, and no swimup bar. Will not be going back to this resort

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome resort

Resort was great had an awesome time look forward to going back one day, food was awesome as well beaches were good loved going down to the beaches with a coffe and watching sunrise staff was great, pool bar was my favourite part. It was awesome being able to explore and not be stuck in one place
