Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Very interesting resort! With its jungle atmosphere.

Our stay at this resort was made exceptional due to the maxing staff!! Our every desire was met. The food in the buffet was always well set out, and tasty. The theme dining was good as well, but we didn't enjoy the oriental theme as well as the others. Dress code in these is very strict! Our concierge Jonathan in building 19 was heaven sent, he made our trip more than enjoyable One downfall, was enduring one day without power, this meant no elevator, no food, drinks, air conditioning, and no [... read more] intervention. This outage was supposed to be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, but went on to approximately 5:00 pm. No one offered any concession

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Great resort

It was great. We enjoyed the family concierge and family pool. All the restaurants also met our approval. The beach is a bit disappointing as there is allot of seaweed but that is the only negative thing that I could think of.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: The best place ever!!!!!

OMG, we had the most fantastic time at the Valentin Imperial Maya. This was our first all inclusive resort vacation and we were not disappointed. From the first minute to the last we enjoyed our time. The people who worked there were beyond amazing. The food and drinks were never ending. The accommodations were top rated. The place was clean, welcoming and ready to have you enjoy yourself. If someone did not enjoy this beautiful resort, well then it was their problem because there is no [... read more]thing negative we could say about it. We are already thinking about our next trip there. Give this resort a chance. You will be very happy that you did.

Grand Sunset Princess: incredible

I can speak on behalf of Steve and myself ….this resort was top notch!! Both Steve and I are experienced travellers and have done quite a bit of travelling to the caribbean and this resort was by far the nicest. Great food at the a la cartes as well as the buffet. The staff were accommodating and very friendly. The rooms were clean and well attended to. We would definitely plan to come back!!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Resort

We opted for The Excellence Club, worth every penny. Wonderful room with view of the pool, beach and sea. Never saw a staff member who wasn't smiling and helpful. Food was very good and it was nice that reservations weren't needed. Bars were plentiful and well stocked. The grounds were spotless and in spite of an 85% occupancy, we never felt crowded. Check-In and Check-Out was handled very well and quickly in the Excellence Club lounge. We had the best Margarita that we ever had in the l [... read more]ounge. They also provide food at a small buffet in the lounge. It was very good and tasty. Nightly entertainment was quite good and there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied if that is your choice. Pools and beach were very clean and we had no problem getting space at the beach. It wasn't necessary to get up and reserve a place at 7:00 AM. A wonderful week at The Excellence.

Riu Tequila: A great experience!

I was really impressed by the quality of this resort. Proximity to beach, downtown, stores and various attractions is perfect. Food was amazing at all restaurants. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Room was spacious, nice and well stocked. Matresses not the most comfortable though. Housekeeping was great and all staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. Evening entertainment between supper and club opening was a bit boring for us twenty-somethings. Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Luxury

Amazing staff! Full on luxury. Beautiful beach and wonderful food. the Hideaway is amazing for time away from the kids. Entertainment everywhere. Restaurants are top notch. Only request would be for a smoking area near beach and pool. I'm not a smoker and it can really wreck your day if there is one next to you. The spa is prohibitively over priced. If it was priced better... Maybe they wouldn't have to constantly push on selling it everywhere.

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing!

The Grand Sunset Princess is the perfect resort. The food was great with lots of choices. Lots of pools and fun activities. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We have been to many resorts in the Cancun and Mayan area and this was by far the best!!!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Execellent Resort!!

Would highly recommend this resort.... especially if you are celebrating a special occasion. There is a wonderful selection of restaurants and they accommodate to people with allergies. The rooms, beach, pool and landscaping are beautiful. Bring your walking shoes - there are lovely walkways throughout the resort - bring your camera along in case you spot a Coates or one of the many species of birds along the way. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Awesome resort

Akumal Bay was a great experience for me and my husband. The resort was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. They had a variety of food at the 24 hour buffet and the restaurant meals were tasty. The housekeepers kept our room spotless and cleaned. Overall, great week vacation!

They cleaned the sea weeds every day which was really good.The weather was cooperating,even though I checked the weather before we left that it's gonna rain every day.But to my surprise,turned out it only rained the day before we left for few hours,and the sun was out again.The only thing that we were a little upset,was our wait to check in ,which was a little slow, but that was just a minor thing.I wish they can improve in that area in the future,otherwise will be perfect.Overall, our stay was the most enjoyable,relaxing.We also like to say thank you to Mernie Shields,our ticket agent for being very helpful,attentive . Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing resort with lots to offer of all ages

The rooms were large, clean and well stocked. The grounds restaurants and pools were exceptionally clean at all times. Service was always good. The chef went out of his way to accommodate our grandson who has a peanut allergy. Our grandson loves ice cream and the chef could not confirm that the ice cream was made in a nut free facility so the chef made fresh ice cream every night for him. Plus it was a different flavour every night

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Great Adults Only

Staff and service was fantastic. Clean grounds and rooms. Decent food and drinks always available. There is drinks in your room and free room service. Several restaurants and most of the places don't need reservations. Snacks always available at the snack bar. Beach is public so gets quite busy and poor snorkeling. There is always chairs available on the beach. Direct access to shopping off resort. Felt very safe walking around. Pool is beautiful but seats are all saved by 9am. They do  [... read more]go through in the afternoon and take towels off chairs that are not in use. By about 3pm the sun goes behind the buildings due to the shape of the resort (not much beachfront) so if you want sun choose chairs early. This is not the resort to relax and have quiet. It gets quite rowdy around the pool. Good place to go with the a group of friends and if you want to drink. The shows at night are pretty good. The coffee shop has the best lattes and other drinks. Worth the daily visit.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Great resort

Just returned from the Barcelo Maya Caribe Dec 3-10 and had an awesome time. Beach in front of Caribe is the best for swimming. The Colonial, Tropical and Palace not so good, rocky. Went to 4 ala carte's Tokyo show table lots of fun, Spanish awesome steak wrapped in ham with blue cheese sauce yum, then finished with Spanish coffee made at your table flaming wow amazing, Seafood restaurant also very good shrimp in a pineapple filled with dip, then lobster with hollandise sauce. The waiters were [... read more] all very friendly helping us with our Spanish in the ala carte and Buffett. Awesome job by Joel Hernandez in the Caribe Buffett always greeting us with a smile and conversation made us feel important and remembered our names. Also Juan Cahon and Nicolas Arcos in the Spanish restaurant awesome waiters. Not impressed with the Wifi situation only available for 3 hrs free 10am to 1pm in the mall area of Caribe unless you purchase a package. Other resorts we have stayed at had free Wifi right in your room anytime. All in all it was a wonderful experience and would certainly recommend this resort. It is big and you do a lot of walking so be prepared to get some exercise.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Beyond my wildest dreams.

This was a vacation of a lifetime. The rooms, food (buffet and a la carte) , pools etc were all 5 star plus. The Pirate Ship was absolutely fantastic. The entertainment , food etc was top notch. We have been to Cuba and the Dominican Republic but this vacation beats them all. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful Resort

Beautiful room and very friendly staff. Our maid Maria Elena was terrific and did an awesome job. I really enjoyed her towel art and looked forward to what she would create each day. The pools, bars, buffet and the beach were awesome. So were the tasty drinks. We look forward to a return visit (hopefully very soon).

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Secrets Capri showing its age.

Employees were great. No beach to speak of. Pool tiles were breaking off. people were cutting their feet. Told the manager his answer was I know. All bars close at 11:00 every night. great if you wish to relax bad if you wish to let loose a little. Food was so-so. Oceans restaurant was by far the best. should mention that other guests were saying the food was outstanding so it is a matter of opinion I guess. We found it very salty. Ocean front room on the first floor was good (but we paid [... read more] extra for it so it should be). Resort was very clean.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Lovely resort

Staff very friendly all around a great place to vacation. Food & cocktails where great. Beach walks very enjoyable. Great place to meet people everyone's very friendly. Perfect place for a great getaway

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great vacation at Grand Bahia Principe Tulum!

Everything was honestly great at the hotel! Every employee was very nice and helpful. The rooms, grounds, pools and beach were amazing. The beach is so close along the whole resort, and everything within this one resort is in walking distance. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was competing with the shuttle service cars on the walk ways. Overall, we would go back in a heart beat and already have recommended this resort to friends and family!

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Great family getaway

We went on this trip with our 18 month old. The resort was small which was really great getting around with a toddler. The supper menu and service was very good. The kids menu was not great but the restaurant was able to make whatever you needed for kids (for us that usually included fish, chicken, rice, peas, avocado ...). Restaurant didn't open until 12 for lunch and did not have a buffet which was challenging for us due to our child's nap time. We used room service quite a bit - the food was  [... read more]good but very inconsistent (something would be missing or different than what we ordered), and sometimes took over 30 minutes to get breakfast. The beach is great - clean, calm and warm water. It was perfect for kids. None of the pools had an extended shallow shelf so that was a bit challenging. We had a 1 bedroom swim out room which was great during nap time, and gave us enough space as a family. The swim out pool was connected to a swim up bar and was heated and extremely warm. All in all, we had a great trip!
