Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Never going to Bahia Principe in The Dominican republic again!

From the minute we arrived, it was a mess! Paid extra to be in Golden suite what a joke. Room wasn't ready although it should be by 5 o'clock, that wasn't it we had no towels in room or shampoo so we called and they brought to us, but this went on everyday I guess they wanted to be tipped every time we called. The air conditioning unit did not work for first three days, the mini refrigerator in room did not work at all had it replaced on last day. I just want to say that I had stayed at Bahia Principe at least 7 times prior to this one and have been going to Dominican Republic for 30 years and have stayed at Bahia in different countries too but what happened here its my last. Everything has changed I remember they would put on a nice food spread, not anymore! They have a lot of people employed but its like they don't care, they have cut back on food for sure, quality is not there. To be quite honest I think that management is very poor they did nothing to help us with the room situation although I called 30 maybe 40 times no one would step up to the plate. Oh by the way I had 2 rooms the second had a mosquito, and bugs infestation that could not get rid off. Beach still nice but resort not.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Nice Resort

Overall it was a great place, the main pool was in need of updating, while the VIP pools looked new and clean. Main pool was always too crowded. The food was fantastic, lots to choose from and the fruit art was amazing each day. The beaches were wonderful, cleaned daily as were the lounge chairs. The staff were wonderful all around. Our room was nice, with the exception of the mini fridge which did not work the entire week.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort,home away from home.

We like this hotel,that is why we go there 3 to 4 times per year. The ground amazing,clean and green it is looks like paradise, the food excellent You can find what to eat even if You on special diet or simple have a vierd taste. The people that serves You very friendly every stap You hear"Hi,Haw are You?Haw we can help?What do You need?"Anything You need,Just ask and they will get it for You.Everything in the resort clean and fresh,people working around the clock to make You comfortable.

Now Garden Punta Cana: Wonderful vacation

My husband and I stayed at this resort for a week with my sister and nephew and had a great time. We stayed at the Garden which was nice an quite but had access to the Larimar as well which had all kinds of activities! The food was very good and we really enjoyed the Asian and Italian restaurants. Our only complaint is that the hotel's website states that there are batting cages and a rifle range which there was not. Also, there was a fee for the bowling which is not indicated on the website [... read more]. We would definitely recommend this property.

Punta Cana Princess: Great resort

Resort is very nice. Food was good, beach awesome, great adults only resort!!! Very friendly staff. Great service. Great view of ocean and pool from our room in building 5. Not sure why people complain !!!

Now Garden Punta Cana: Great Resort!

Hotel grounds are beautiful! Rooms are nice, bathroom set up is a bit different, but was clean! Food was very good throughout the resort! Website says they have batting cages and archery and rifle range and they do not have any of those things! All pools are nice and beach area is great!

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Amazing family vacation July 2016

I just wanted to say thank you to Quico and Noemi for assisting us during our stay at the Catalonia. Upon our arrival at the Catalonia Beach Resort & Spa Hotel., Quiico infomed us that we got upgraded to the Royal Bavaro. We were a group of five (5) and they upgraded us all to the Royal Bavaro Catalonia side which was absolutely great. The rooms were clean and spacious and we never missed anything. There was never a dull night, they made sure that something was going on at all times, Beach party, dancing, disco nite etc. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to vacation in Punta Cana. Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Terrible resort

Hotel was outdated air-conditioning did not work in room or any restaurant management was rude food was awful rooms were not cleaned thoroughly service was terrible pool was filthy slow service at all bars

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort

Pros: The grounds and room were beautiful and spacious. Everything is within a short walk from your room -beach, pool, and restaurants. There was a leak in our bathroom and it was fixed quickly. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Requesting scented pillows was a treat. Shuttle to access the other joining resorts was convenient. Cons: the restaurants, pool and bars close early, pool is very warm, room wasn't always cleaned till later in the day

Vik Hotel Cayena Beach: Great experience!

This was my first time in Punta Cana and I had a beautiful 1st impression... I was looking for a beautiful beach and I could not have asked for better, it was absolutely gorgeous!! the food was delicious, the people were polite and helpful, the room was spacious and the view from the balcony wonderful, the entertainment team worked really hard to make everyone feel home and their shows were great. Thank you Cayena Beach!

Punta Cana Princess: Very nice and quiet resort. Perfect for couples!

The grounds were well taken care of, the staff friendly and accommodating. The beach was beautiful, pool clean and our room was lovely. Although.....The alcohol was watered down unless you asked for the good stuff. I would definitely go back again. Loved the quiet and relaxing week!!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great resort willing to go back!

Resort is really big lots to do great beach multiple pools and bars Great food couple of buffets and lots of restaurants. Really liked it and recommend it to anyone with family or friends great place.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Good resort

The grounds are really nicely maintained. They are currently going through renovations and from the two weeks we were there, I can see some improvement already. The rooms are a little outdated but fine. The washrooms need to be updated more. Cleaning service was average. Reception service is a hit and miss. They should get more people at the service desk. The Sunwing reps are fine however there were delays on the flight and they saw us waiting so the should have advised us earlier. The [... read more]y advised not to book escursions outside of Sunwing/Nexus but you can find cheaper prices for the same value pretty much with the guys coming around. I would recommend Antonio or Kevin. They were great. The trip to Saona was awesome and $30 cheaper than what Sunwing was offering and it was more intimate then a huge group. The food is really good. You always something to get. They try to really provide a variety. The service on the other hand does need improvement. They don't seem to enjoy their jobs. The Mexican and italian restaurant had the best service. Improvement in the service of Gourmet restaurant needs improvement as we waited approximately and hour just to get a drink the first time we went. The second time was a bit better. Basically they need more staff. The restaurants are not air conditioned, with the exception of the gourmet restaurant. Would be nice if they are closed doors to get some relief from the heat. At the buffet restaurant. You have to get your own drinks. At first it was odd as I have never seen this at an all inclusive but it worked out fine. They always have lots of beverages to choose from. They always restock bottle of water in your fridge and it is nice and cold. The beach was nice. There is some seaweed at this time but they do attempt to clean some of it on the daily basis and from walking along the beach in the area, this one was in best shape. The shows were average. Some better then others. The circus, Michael Jackson and international dancing shows were the best. The comedy and some other shows were quite lame. I enjoyed their beach parties on Saturday's. Overall our vacation was good. There is plenty of shade and chairs at the beach. If you are looking to relax and have some fun and are not too fussy with the service, then this place is right for you. Good value for the price.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Amazing resort!!

Excellent Resort which exceeded our expectations! We were upgraded to the Privileged Club in villa 18 courtesy of Quico and Neomi at check-in – an upgrade which was well appreciated. Impeccable – from the service and friendliness of the staff, including cleanliness, food variety, activities, location, décor, beach access and service – simply excellent!

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great resort

The resort is huge!!! Lots to do and lots of walking however there are train trolleys to take you around. Like a mini shuttle. Lots of restaurants. Variety of food was good. Service was good! A la carte restaurants were good!! Lots of fish meals. Fresh! Water park was perfect size. My kids aged 7 and 8 loved it!!!!!! Lots of pools lots of activities. Dance lessons aerobics. If there was one thing I didn't like was housekeeping. Never enough towels always and late the front desk took care of it.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: A striving 5 star resort - Flaws trumps 5 star proclamation.

We traveled as group 18 (12 adults, 6 children ages 6-9) - July 30 to August 6, 2016. Booked 6 rooms since March 2016. I've been to 5 stars resorts every year for the last 13 years. Not to bore you with details, our overall review is: **This resort might look awesome in website pictures, with the 8 restaurant, huge facility, abundance of pools, nice looking rooms, BUT IN REALITY: 1 - Restaurants ARE a daily hassle. You need to line up since no reservations is allowed. And the food are  [... read more]just fresh looking as the buffet. 2 - The Tram service to take you around is so minimal. It seems that there's only 2 train going around since the wait can be as long as 30 mins. 3- Pool are so hazy that your eyes will burn due to lack of chlorine. Its more evident if you look at the pool at night and you can not even see the bottom of the pool. 4 - Its nice to have a Jacuzzi, only if the jets are not so dirty looking. Our shower head was broken and so as the nozzle for the water to come up to the shower head. We gave up complaining about it that we have to place a YUCKY garbage can to the nozzle to shower decently. Our "clean" folded towel had black stains and questionably clean. 5- Vendors selling Jewelry and excursion on every turn. Everyday, you will have hassled. EVERYDAY!! Most disappointing of all is the service and lack of friendliness by the staff and cook. It wouldn't hurt to smile back when greeted. I truly find the cleaning ladies to be snobs. The pasta cook in one of the buffet looks like he doesn't care at all. And I have to line to him 3 times. Customer service is obviously is not a priority to this resort. With these flaws, this resort is a 3 star at its best. Will not recommend to anyone. Food will be the same all else, but its the service that counts. Room Tip: Aging resort. Rooms are terrible. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Memories splash

The airport in Punta Cana is a gong show. Long, never ending lines that are confusing and miss managed. We waited 4 hours between landing and arriving at our resort, despite being the first dropped off the shuttle bus. Next we experienced the check in, once again long lines, but this part was dog eat dog. If you can speak Spanish and you don't mind dirty looks from others you can cut the line and yell for service and get your room before others. Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Beautiful resort.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were very well kept. The food was amazing and we had no complaints with the buffet at all. The only issue was with our check-in and our maid service. When we arrived we had to wait in line to check in for one hour and not because the line was long but because several guests staying at the resort who were Mexican continually budded in front of us, slipped the counter staff some money and got served while we continued to wait to be served.  [... read more]With respect to the maid service, it was terrible. I was continually left with no toilet paper in my room and no towels. Despite advising the desk on numerous occasions, it continued to happen almost every day. Midway through my vacation, the maid took the comforter off my bed and never returned it despite my complaining to the front desk. I also did not realize when I booked this hotel that it was not on the beach and it would have been nice if the person I dealt with at trip central had informed me of that as I did not notice it on the website. As an aside, the bartenders were fantastic, most especially Jose at the lobby bar - he was great.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolutely beautiful!

I would recommend this resort to friends and family. The ocean is amazing and the pool was great the people you meet the employees, all wonderful! I have only one complaint and that was Mother Nature forgot to tell me about the mosquito's, remember to bring repellent. Oh and the food, well there was always something good to eat! This was a great vacation.
