Hotel Bella Costa: Breezes Bella Costa Experience

My name is Edmond. I stayed in that hotel on July 2014 for a week. It was my first trip to Cuba. I had a great time, the service was excellent, all staff was very polite. The beach was one of the best I've ever seen. I'm planning of going back to that place whenever I find time. I would recommend anyone to stay in that place. It's worth for the money payed.

Hotel Los Cactus: NOT a party resort, overall OK stay

Firstly, the food here was pretty good considering what I've heard about other resorts in Cuba. The beach was beautiful, and the weather was pretty nice and only rained for a few hours in the evening. I am 21 years old, and let this be clear it is NOT a party resort. This is not the type of place to go if you're just going to drink and have fun, there wasn't many young people at this resort but going out to the clubs made it worth it. The staff there was okay, some were friendly and other staff  [... read more]were just plain rude. Water kept leaking into our room and it would take them hours to come and fix it. Staff spoke badly about us in Spanish (they did not know one of my friends could understand them). The bartenders were also rude at times because there was about 7 of us asking for drinks at the same time. Other than that we had an amazing day, the rooms were kept clean and it was pretty decent. I would recommend this hotel for someone who doesn't care too much for the resort party scene.

Memories Jibacoa: Average

The grounds were beautiful, nice beach, friendly staff, and great nightly entertainment. What was really disappointing was the food. We probably wouldn't have been so disappointed had we not heard how good it was. Lunch at the beach grill was OK, and breakfast was fine, so it was mainly the dinners that were so poor. We were actually hungry at an "all inclusive"--a rare occurence! What we heard was that in low season--July and August--they cut back. Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great time.

Rooms were tired and need updating especially when they are trying to sell memberships. Food was plenty and very tasty. Staff were fantastic and made your stay comfortable. Service was good and housekeeping good.

Hotel Bella Costa: needs updating

my room leaked and I had a lake in it (literally) almost the whole time I was there....I had to call the front dest 4x to get someone to come and deal with it....they did not move me to a better room, so I had a lake again the next time it rained - it was coming from the ceiling in both the bedroom and bathroom(disgusting). Hard beds, old furnishings, very dated. Most staff were very friendly, but the hotel was not well run and if you had a question or complaint, it would take hours or days to h [... read more]ear back on it.

Hotel Bella Costa: Not bad resort

Resort was not bad at all. Old, needs renovation. Distance to town from hotel is good. Mini bar was never fully refilled. Lots of nice staffs. Family suites is a very good size and distance to beach and pool. Air Transact guests have our own/private part of the beach. Freshly made to order pizza was really good.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido

The beach was good....i really liked the room I had very nice view of the ocean...the room service was great. The pool wasn't that great but overall had a good vacation. oh and one of the two pools and 1 small beach is clothing optional, im not a nudist but if your into that kind of thing its available.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Lovely Resort

I really liked this resort and would go back. I found the staff member at check-in quite efficient and very courteous. I had asked for a quiet room, end of the building, and top floor and they nailed it. I loved my room. 2079. It looks out over the ocean but is not on the beach per se. The staff were lovely, and couldn't do enough for you....very attentive. The beach is the nicest I have seen. There is a smaller clothing optional beach which is also nice although they do play loud music each day [... read more]. The food was great. I do wish there had been more seafood however. You have breakfast in the large open dining room, and can also have lunch there as well. However, for lunch there are a couple other options - Reggae Cafe or the nude beach pool bar which were excellent. There are three restaurants to choose from for dinner each night where you can order seafood - shrimp or tuna. They are gearing up for renovations, and a small expansion. The resort is nice but clearly a bit tired and needs sprucing up. They said the construction is to begin in December 2014. Do take US currency. I only brought Canadian and it was a bit of a pain to change it. I could only change it at the gift shop where the exchange rate was awful. I went on the Dunn River and Falls tour which was a really nice day trip. I also did the boat trip to Rick's Café boat which includes snorkeling and then on to Rick's where you can jump off cliffs..(this is also known as the booze cruise so be prepared for a few rowdy people). My room was kept quiet clean. Jamaicans are very poor so they do rely on tips so I tipped the bus driver, tour guides, staff, the housekeeping staff member, etc and they were all so appreciative.

Breezes Bahamas: Mediocre food and Bed bugs

Would never return here. Ended up with about 20 bed bug bites, slept on the floor the last night instead of the bed. Other guests said they had the same problem. Also overrun with day guests that make the food lineups very long and the resort very crowded.

Memories Jibacoa: Loved this place!

This was my first visit to Cuba. We picked this resort because it was only an hour out of Havana and was supposed to have wonderful snorkelling right off the beach. We were there in mid May, and had some freakish, unusual weather, and so couldn't go snorkelling, but we still had a fabulous time there. The staff was fantastic, so friendly and accommodating. A quiet beach, great pool, airy, clean rooms, fun daytime activities and terrific nightly entertainment, both during dinner and at night. The [... read more] food was much better than I expected, a huge selection every day! An all day trip to Havana with driver and guide was only 70 pesos for 3 people. I definitely plan to return!

Hotel Bella Costa: Lovely resort, fantastic location!

Had a wonderful family vacation at the Breezes Bella Costa. This was our second stay. Food was ample and tasty for Cuban standards, beach was superb and plenty of activities to keep us entertained. My personal favorite was Zumba in the pool. We were not please with our first room in the villas and we're then moved to a second floor room with a view of the pool and partial oceanview. Beautiful! Book a suite in the villas - it's worth it. We went snorkelliing and saw some beautiful colourful fish [... read more] (short catamaran ride to get there). We also did the jeep tour -- highly recommended and a highlight for my teenage son and good value for the money. Bring giveaways like kids shoes or tshirts if you are doing the jeep tour as women and children line some of the rural streets hoping for anything tourists can offer.

Hotel Los Cactus: Had so much fun! The staff is amazing!

The hotel is older but kept very clean and the grounds are beautiful. All areas are close to get to and their stretch of beach is definitely one on the best on Varadero beach! Food was the only disappointment - very bland.

Memories Jibacoa: Breezes

My stay was very nice, the hotel had a very large beach, but was situated on a reef. This made for very good snorkeling, but the sand ended after 10 feet and rocks/reef made swimming hard. Other than this aspect, the hotel was cleaned every day, including walkways, the hotel's other guest were respectful towards each other, fresh towels were provided daily and the hotel organized hikes into the surrounding hillsides. 4.5/5

Breezes Bahamas: Great Getaway from the Everyday!

The beach is beautiful, white sand, blue ocean the vista of cruise ships. Quite magical ! The staff were friendly and always helpful and made you feel welcome. The food was good with a variety of restaurants and food choices. The atmosphere was welcoming from the beginning of the visit with a welcome beverage to making sure you had what you need to enjoy your time.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: The Best Family vacation in a long time

The grounds were impeccably clean. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kids loved it their and 4 months later are still talking about it. The food was great! They very kindly with no fuss accomodated all our requests. My son has alot of allergies and for every meal made him something special. It was actually waiting for him. He felt very special. Memories Jibacoa: super staff,location,experience

Fantastic hotel in an isolated location within taxi distance to both varedero and Havana. We have never been treated so well. The staff here are the best we have ever experienced. The cappucchinos and specialty coffees...incrediblly delicious. The scenery and proximity to the beach is ideal and the reef a snorklers paradise.

Hotel Bella Costa: Great staff!!

This resort is in need of some tlc but for the most part it was great. The food was ok and the beach was amazing ;) the medical staff are awesome. Julio (front entrance security guard) is a real stand up guy ;)

Hotel Los Cactus: Such a friendly place.

Our first trip to Cuba was all we could of hoped for with most of the credit going to the incredible people at Breezes Varadero. So helpful and friendly. The beach was one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. With sunsets that will amaze you.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Wonderful Resort

This was our first visit to Jamaica and we will be returning. We visited this resort in March with another couple and had a wonderful time. The staff were courteous and friendly, the grounds very well kept and clean and the food was excellent. The resort is small and well laid out with everything quite convenient. Although this is an older resort, it has been updated nicely. It was good value for your money. We would definitely stay here again!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: 3 star hotel

The hotel and food are three star, but the beach is beautiful. The price is way too high for what they offer. The grounds are not impressive and there is very little entertainment. This beautiful beach needs a complete overall of the hotel, food, entertainment and staff.
