This is our second time at this resort and it does not disappoint. I highly recommend it. Great service. Food is very good with a big selection. The restaurants are very good too. Clean spacious rooms with beautiful grounds and pools. The beach is steps away and beautiful. I would definitely be returning in the future.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Disappointed

We go to all inclusive because of the beach, we care less about the pool. We did not enjoy the beach at all. Very disappointed because of the mountain of seaweed. We tried to go swim despite of and got itchy afterwards. The lock of our balcony door is broken. We told the air Transat representative but nobody came to fix. The air transat rep does not care because we did not get our tours with him. The bellboy who brought our luggage to our room seems to be not happy, checking out, we didn’t both [... read more]er to get a bellboy, we did it on our own. Some staff are friendly and some just don’t care, you have to wait to get your water filled. We enjoyed 2 nights out of 7 of the night entertainment. The other five nights are catered for Latino’s. Our flight was delayed 7 hours without proper noticed. We could have stayed in our room and do a late check out instead of waiting in the lobby where it was really hot. The only thing we enjoyed was the quietness and the food.

Secrets Royal Beach: Very good resort!

The grounds were very well kept. Rooms were clean. The food at the à la carte restaurants were excellent, as was the buffet. Upon check-in they tried to sell and upgrade you to the Preferred Club at a very high price. Our suggestion would be to purchase it when booking the hotel. The beaches were clean other than the seaweed slowly rolling in and the vendors were very persistent trying to sell their goods.

Ocean El Faro: Wonderful hotel

I had a wonderful vacation with my family. There are many activities for children. The room is spacious and bright. The food is excellent. Everything was always delicious and there was a variety of dishes. The resort area is large, there is room to walk around. The only thing is that we were unable to swim in the ocean because of the big waves and algae. But overall we enjoyed our vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Resort

1st time staying at Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda and definitely will go back. Grounds were amazing, so much to do. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Junior Suite, well kept room. Room was cleaned everyday by TANIA. Mini fridge stocked daily. 2 big pools, 1 relaxation pool with 3 whirlpools...lots of seating, cabanas included. Beach was great. Bars, restaurants so much to eat and drink.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Decent resort

Enjoyed our stay at this resort. Clean good food and friendly staff. Did a great job of cleaning sea weed off beach. Only negative was too many people on beach trying to sell stuff. Seemed to much at times. But overall was a nice trip.

Beautiful Clean Average to above for food, but 3/4 of us became sick (1st time - we have been about 8 times) Good swim-up bar party pool Awesome quiet pool (Infinity), however, to look like a true infinity pool, the garden and sign need to be removed so that the pool looks like it goes into the ocean Great view of the beach while having breakfast at Be Loved (peanut butter toast is good, and so is the avocado toast) The privilege section is great with beds and an awesome waiter named Marco [... read more]s, who is very attentive The beach is not great as the water is murky and has seaweed, walk to the family area for a better swim (prefer the beach at Riu or Bahia, but prefer Catalonia resort itself) Like the small size of the resort (adult only), as you can walk anywhere - no need to take a trolley, unlike Bahia and Riu If you want more restaurants and parties, you can venture over to the family side Great atmosphere and drinks at the piano bar, plus a light-up robot costume performance one night I love sitting at the Thalassia restaurant after dinner with drinks, watching the poolside shows (circus acrobatics, Dominican music, karaoke, singing...). Beautiful lobby - great reception Great concierge for a la carte reservations Good porters Quick service to unlock the safe when an issue arises Good maid service, but missing face cloths at times, and the shower floor is not always washed (sand from the beach) Best meal was at Tao Cat (thai food) near the beach 2nd best meal at Rodeo Steak House

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Not a 5-star

The staff were only friendly when I slipped them US cash. The staff have disdain for English-speaking people. My attempts to speak Spanish were received by mocking me. One server made fun of my son for his stutter and ignored him after that. No one showed us around on the first day. The valet just told us to use the app to orient ourselves. The app had the restaurant hours wrong. Food was great. The beach was terrible. I had a better experience at a 3-star in Mexico and Cancun. I will never go b [... read more]ack.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing resort

The food was beyond excellent, the rooms were good. However the communication between the hotel staff needs to be much better. The air conditioning stopped working and it took almost 7 hours to get another room. Also when I was switched to another room the air conditioner was not working there either, they staff needs to make sure something works before giving it to the guest. But I would go back to this resort because other factors which are the food, the hotel staff, the weather and overall experience is a 4 out of 5 stars in my opinion.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Not so grand!

The hotel was ok the rooms were crowded and there were ants. The beach was not clean at all the see weed was in mountains definitely not maintained and the hotel did not even try. The beach was terrible if you are looking for a resort with a pool and beach this is not it. The pool area was large but since the beach was not enjoyable everybody was at the pool area which made it crowed and the water dirty. The slide area for kids was not well maintained and most of the slides caused bruising or [... read more] scrapes when trying to go down the kids only used the area twice out of 7 days.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing People

The staff at resort were amazing. Alfredo Michel is the man and made everything too easy. The two guys in the entertainment named King Kong and Hector were some of the funniest people I’ve met in years. Really a great trip.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Mrs

The food is not so good the taste is salty, the pork meat is hard and the fish is not fresh, The staff are friendly and the cleaner is nice. The beach is not so clean as it’s full of seaweeds. The train should have more to accommodate the people that are waiting too long.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great All Inclusive Resort!!

Beautiful pools and very busy resort, especially at the beachside pool 4.5 star rating. Plenty of daily activities available for all ages. Dining options and food quality made to order is definitely 5 star rating. The buffets quality of food is all about timing! Extremely hot weather 35’C every day, bring plenty of sunscreen. Rooms could definitely use an update, especially the bathrooms 3 star rating. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Just came back from a 7 day stay and as a first timer in the DR, I was pleasantly surprised after hearing lots of mixed to negative reviews of this resort. This resort had it all. The grounds were well kept, staff was friendly and helpful and spent lots of time in the beautiful pool with a swim-up bar. Entertainment was fantastic, we enjoyed the Michael Jackson show, the magic show and the circus. The resort is very family friendly but also catered to all ages, so couples and singles can also ha [... read more]ve a great time as well, no matter the age. As a guest at Splash, you have access to the other resort which we also spent lots of time at. Food at buffet was ok; we got pretty tired of it by the 3rd or 4th day but that's typical from any resort from what I hear. I highly recommend the Mexican and Italian a la carte restaurants. The beach had lots of sargassum despite the hotel's best efforts to keep it off the shore and on the beach. But it also depends on the day as when we went before a few days earlier to check it out, it seemed to be okay. The water park is small and is geared towards kids but there's about 4-5 slides that are meant for all ages. Overall, we would definitely come back after trying a few other resorts!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great experience!!

Majestic Colonial is a beautiful resort. Great attention from the staff, excellent food, clean pool and amazing service in general. However, rooms are not well maintained, pastries and desserts are the wick side of the meals and entertainment is so so. In general I would said it is a great place to visit and spent awesome vacations

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fabulous Resort

Loved his resort! Everything was amazing - great staff, great choice of food at the buffet, great à la carte restaurants. Our room had our own private pool - what’s not to like? Would definitely go back!

Occidental Punta Cana: Great Property

Just came back from DR after a trip for my son's 18th birthday. The weather was fantastic, the resort was clean, had numerous pools and comfortable beds in nice cool rooms. The buffet food was fresh and tasty and thankfully featured local foods also. The one entertainment show i watched had lively and energetic performers. Only letdown, of all things, was the seafood restaurant. Otherwise beach was beautiful, but unfortunately filled with seaweed, so we couldn't fully enjoy it. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fabulous resort and time spent

Love, love this resort. Amazing right from the start with our wonderful travel agent Monique from Trip Central. Greeted by the grand lobby, stunning pool winding through the beautifully kept grounds to our spectacular out of this world accommodations. Beach steak house restaurant was our go to. Our hioliday wouldn't be complete if not for Aneudy Customer Service and our dear Butler Braymer. They both assured our time spend was perfect. Thanks again and can't wait to see you again!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: A wonderful stay

The resort and country and beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. Smerlin at the poor bar did an amazing job all week and kept the delicious drinks flowing. The pools were nice and clean. Unfortunately during our stay the seagrass was very bad making the beach unusable but we are pool people anyways. The breakfast and lunch buffets were great but it felt like the dinner buffet was lacking. The al la carte meals were excellent but it was somewhat difficult to get a booking [... read more] at some of the restaurants. The evening entertainment was great, we really enjoyed the circus show. The room was clean but we had a bad location with trucks coming and going and honking all hours of the day. This was my third stay at the Bahia Principe in Punta Cana and I would definitely go back to Aquamarine again.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Resort

We had a fantastic stay at this resort and were so happy with our choice after visiting some of the other Bahia properties nearby. This one truly stands out. The food was excellent, the fridge was restocked daily, and our room was always cleaned with fresh towels. We never had an issue getting pool towels, which made things easy. There were plenty of chairs at the beach, and although the pool could get busy if you arrived late, we always managed to find a spot and bring it where we needed.  [... read more] The evening shows were wonderful, especially the outdoor fire show—absolutely captivating. The kids’ club was top-notch, easily one of the best we’ve seen: organized, fun, and well-staffed. We also loved being able to take the trolley to other Bahia resorts to enjoy fun extras like mini golf, soccer, and basketball. If I had to point out one small downside, it would be the sports bar, where the service was quite slow and wait times for food were long. Still, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. Now—the true highlight of the trip was Hector, the entertainer. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. Hector isn’t just good at his job—he IS the energy of the resort. He’s warm, hilarious, and incredibly gifted at making every single guest feel seen, included, and welcome. His presence brings joy and connection in a way that few can. He remembers names, learns about families, and brings genuine heart to every interaction. It truly felt like being around family because of him. Without Hector, the entertainment wouldn’t be what it is. He Made our trip unforgettable. Also, Monica at the front desk and Adriana were wonderful during a health emergency—kind, calm, and incredibly helpful in a moment of stress. Their compassion meant the world to us.
