Grand Palladium Palace: Decent Resort

The hotel was large and spacious, lots of activities although they are scattered across the hotels. Would of been better if there was privacy in rooms and also if places were finished renovated, like the sports bar and restaurants. The beach was nice, but had lots of seaweed, plus the travel club presentation tool forever, and we wasted time.

I recently stayed at the Serenade Hotel with my partner, our three children (ages 8, 11, and 12), and my parents. Our experience had both highlights and disappointments, and I want to provide an honest review to help others decide if this resort is the right choice for them. In my opinion, this is not a 5-star property—closer to a 3.5/4-star. Lobby: The lobby is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable seating. Special thanks to Cruz, who went above and beyond with her knowledge and helpfulness. Hotel Room: We stayed in the Luxury Master Suite, which was beautiful, spacious, and had a fantastic pool and grounds view. Beds were comfortable, though the pillows were very thin and unsupportive. Bathrooms had a nice design, but the lack of doors or curtains on showers made things awkward, especially with children who want privacy. Towels and robes were rough, discolored, and not hotel-quality—my mother had to request better replacements. My parents initially had a garden view room with an unpleasant stench, but the staff quickly accommodated a move to a better location. Maid Service: This was disappointing. Rooms were often not cleaned until late in the day, despite leaving requests early. Floors were not swept or mopped, a burnt-out bathroom light was never fixed, tissues weren’t replenished, and furniture clearly wasn’t moved when cleaning (we found old wrappers under beds). Despite tipping generously, the level of detail was lacking. On the plus side, the minibar was restocked daily. Buffet: Food was repetitive and mediocre, though the crepe and omelet stations were highlights. Service varied—some staff were slow, but Carlos Dominguez stood out as excellent. Seating comfort also varied depending on where you sat, since fan coverage was limited. À la Carte Restaurants: Although advertised as unlimited, we were limited to three reservations. The Asian Teppanyaki was outstanding, while the steakhouse (the cut) served generous portions but took much longer to dine at—challenging with kids. Restaurants were conveniently located near the lobby. Lobby Café: Great cappuccinos, pastries, and friendly staff. A nice early-morning option Maintenance: Disappointing for a 5-year-old property. We noticed broken pool tiles, unstable railings, ceiling damage, and even a collapsed ceiling panel with exposed light fixtures in one washroom. The theatre’s large screen was badly damaged, distracting from performances. Several outdoor showers weren’t functioning. Pool & Bars: The pools are beautifully designed, but chlorine levels were excessively high, causing skin, toe, and hair issues, and even staining swimsuits. The waterslides were a major highlight for the kids. Swim-up bar staff (Jeremy, Domingo, Alex/Alejandro, Raul) were especially friendly. Snack/Sports Bar: A nice, air-conditioned space with food variety, though I felt unwell after one meal (nachos and cheese) Beach: Pretty, but overrun with seaweed, making swimming difficult most days. Credit to the hardworking beach staff who tried to clear it and to the attentive security and lifeguard presence. Entertainment: One of the best parts of our stay. The entertainment team was fun, engaging, and offered a wide variety of activities. Evening shows were enjoyable, though the 9:30 p.m. start is too late for families with children—an earlier start would be appreciated. The Friday night white party was fantastic and well done. Excursions/Destination Services: Unfortunately, our booked excursion was a flop. However, Luisa from Destination Services was phenomenal—she advocated for us and secured partial reimbursement. Highly recommend seeking her guidance when booking tours. Hotel Website: Easy to use, with good details on restaurants, menus, and bookings via QR code. Overall: This hotel has beautiful grounds, fun entertainment, and some wonderful staff, but service inconsistencies, maintenance issues, and lower-quality details prevent it from being a true 5-star experience. While I don’t regret our stay, it’s not a property I would likely return to.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: All inclusive

Very nice resort, rooms keep clean, service not bad. However, they do not provide soap for shower, they said you have to use hair shampoo on your body. Towels are very old. Breakfast is reparative. Entertainment is not the best, the daily events are very boring. Lobby bar are excellent, very polite and friendly bar tenders and waitresses

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort has gone downhill significantly over the past years

We were at this resort about 10 years ago. It was a good experience. This year I was surprised and disappointed. The room needed repair with old furniture. The rusty air conditioner that blew but did not cool the air. A dirty bathroom with traces of mold. A huge number of mosquitoes entering the room from the air ducts because the windows and doors were always closed. Quite a poor selection of food in restaurants. Cheap and not interesting entertainment. The total hotel rate is no more than 3,0  [... read more]-3,5. It seems that the owners of a hotel chain prefer to make a profit without investing anything. The beach was covered with seaweed that bad an unpleasant smell.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Beautiful Resort/ Wonderful Staff

This is our second time at this resort and we have no complaints. The food was excellent as usual and such a variety to choose from. The grounds are clean and so well maintained. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. The entertainers are amazing, never a dull moment.! We are looking forward to returning.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Terrible! Don't waste your money

The resort booked guests in while they were under construction. They closed the beach, pools, restaurants while they had kept bringing in more guests. The staff were visibly upset as they were told that they're about to lose their jobs. Found cockroaches in the room. Changed rooms and there were still cockroaches. Once construction started on the beach there was a disgusting odor. Don't waste your money.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Best resort

Just returned from the majestic elegance just left there in June was there for 10 days returned again in August for two weeks just arrived and I have my ticket to return again in October. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Costly upgrades

My initial booking was for a fairly decent price but when I got on location I was being offered upgrades to a newer room which I initially declined, but when I got to assigned room I saw why I was being told to upgrade. I did so immediately and had to pay which was very disappointing! The newer room was way better compared to what we offered. However, it was also standard for what you expect to get when booking an all inclusive for 1 week with your children! Or just in general. Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort

The agent thru trip central Candice Anger was patient when helping me select Ocean Blue and Sand. Her recommendation was spot on with our every needs. The resort she recommended was impressive with the layout of resort and not over sized. The resort was amazing. The hospitality was great and the hotel was clean. Friendly staff and good food. Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa: Lovely resort with some wrinkles to be ironed out

The resort is aesthetically beautiful, so fresh and modern and visually very pleasing. Lovely rooms, pools, gym, restaurants, etc. The beach is quite wavy, with few people, so it feels like you the beach to yourself. On the flipside, it seems that in rushing things to open the resort to the public, it looks like some attention to construction might have been done haphazardly. The staff are very pleasant, however, a number of the workers in the restaurants do not understand English, so service was not always up to par. In general, the food was good, some things better than others. There is a good variety though to choose from, which is a plus. As well, many of the events listed on their activities schedule did not take place at all and/or ran late. However, the activities that took place were wonderful, and were run by an energetic and friendly entertainment team (shoutout to Yailin). Overall, a great place with a lot of potential. I chalk up the weaknesses to the « opening pains » of a new resort.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

This hotel is second best to None! The moment you step foot on the lobby you are greeted with a warm Welcome Home and I felt that vibe of you’re a family member they had been waiting! Our first dinner at the buffet my daughter already bond with Keila and every single worker is warm and accommodating and wanted to do anything that would make your stay relaxing pleasant and memorable. I loved Majestic Elegance Punta Cana. Very relaxing environment. The staff is great, kind, helpful. The room is clean, food is great,entertainment is great. I had great time during my stay. He may looking for tip but I gave the tip a day before to his colleague and I didn't have my wallet with me and I am over 50 years old and the staff was young. He didn't have his badge and I walked 20 meters and decided to go back and ask his name. I asked his name, he was with his collegue at that time, he took his id from his pocked and showed it, his name is ALEXANDER FRASER. There are many employees working hard and this person need to get some more costumer service training. He may be tired at that moment but We worked all year and saved money for this vacation and need to relax and have good time also. Overall everything was great.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort!

The grounds were beautiful. The kids loved the water park! The main pool had various activities throughout the day, which were fun! The beach was disappointing with the seaweed. I believe that the beach would have been gorgeous at a different time of year. The drinks were good and they had various different drinks of day. Lots of dining options for dinners. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Fair resort for what we paid

The hotel was clean , a bit run down, some renos required. Buffet was ok, a la carte restaurants much better . Pushy salespeople trying to sell timeshares . Very frustrating! Diamond club members favoured over non- diamond club regarding the app to book restaurants. Karina was very helpful . Give her a raise. More work required to clean seaweed on the beach .

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Needs facelift and less harassments

Resort grounds clean/ nice. Pools need staff cleaning cups /food inside. Beach needs cleaning. Terrible seaweed issue not dealt with every day. Watch out for some guest services personnel. Yaqui - very bad harassment on time sharing selling service. The only person we loved and appreciated was Carina. Amazing and caring Carina who helped us book restaurants. The App they provided only gave us a 9 pm dinner time line. I have been to several Royalton resorts and this one needs a facelift.  [... read more]Everything including building falling apart. Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing resort!

Excellent service from the hotel staff, very clean amenities all around the facility, family friendly and detail oriented, very nice dining options for everyone and great entertainment schedule every night. Overall, very pleasant experience.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice Resort

The resort itself was nice. The service was not really great. The room were not really clean, we had to request to get it cleaned. No fresh towels, that was also requested. The food was also not that great. we got no proper service at the restaurants, we had to wait for our food like 2 hours. Even on buffet we did not get any attention from the servers.
