This resort provides great value. The place is huge so there are lots of different areas to go to depending if you want quiet or lively. Nice to be able to take the bus to the marina without any worry. Will go back for sure.

Riu Santa Fe: good resort
Just returned from our vacation some quick notes
Check in was easy done on the bus so all we had to do was get a room key and card towels. But there was no direction an getting to our rooms on the resort and we had to carry our own luggage to our rooms ( I have never had to do that )
grounds were extremely clean
the cleaning staff were very good but not too friendly
entertainment staff were great
beds were a little uncomfortable and hard
Front desk staff were horrible. very rarely answered the p[... read more]hone I think 2 out of 20 calls during the week , I had to go to the front desk and wait in line to ask for a pillow that never arrived.
Beach was not really good as you were unable to swim in the water and the sand is very course
Food was ok , it tasted better then it looked for the most part
Buffet was ok but a lot of the time there was shortage of food. I do not think there is enough restaurant space to accommodate the resort I found myself waiting for food to be replenished at the buffet or wait in very long lines to get food.
Bars were good but at times very long wait to get served , they would do better to have a few more bartenders
overall I would say this resort has potential to be better based on the service overall I rate it 3 but it can easily get a 4 if they fix that issue

Riu Santa Fe: Best trip ever
I went to the Riu Sante Fe in Cabo San Lucas & let me tell you it was the best trip ever & I have been to many places.
From the time we touched down I knew it was going to be a great trip, Jared the Sun Wing rep was funny & informative on the way to the resort. Check in was smooth & fast, the rooms were clean & the ocean view rooms in the 7000 block are great they look right across the beautiful bay to Cabo.
The food was great, Steak house was my favorite, but the buffets were great to & somethi[... read more]ng for everyone. Entertainment at night on the resort was fun & the bars in the square were live & everyone was friendly.
We spent most of the days in the pool at the swim up pool bars & everyone was having a good time. The staff works hard to keep the grounds and rooms clean & tidy, bartenders are awesome & dining staff friendly & courteous.
We went on a few excursions & had a blast.
Town was fun check out Cabo Wabo & Squid Row.
I have no complaints & will definitely be back to the Riu Sante Fe !!

Posada Real Los Cabos: Lovely Mexican Resort
This hotel is small for a resort which makes it much friendlier. The rooms are fine, maybe need a little updating. The gardens are beautiful. When booking make sure you get an ocean view preferably on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The food was great, ignore the buffet and go for the fresh grill. The service was fantastic on the beach and in the hotel. Nothing for kids here so if you want a semi quiet holiday this is for you.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Very good accomodation
A super vacation spot, however, activities away from the resort are not readily accessible. The hotel should establish shuttle service to the nearest town. Needs a better set-up for making reservations in the restaurants.

Riu Santa Fe: very good last minute deal
rooms are very nice, resort is very clean, food is fantastic, drinks are quite good. entertainment is pathetic and not worth your time. walmart and costco are close but there are not any small shops close by. wouldn't recommend walking to marina as beach is steep amd sand is very soft. water taxi is a cheap alternative

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Average. Good for the price.
Lovely facility, reception area, dining area, grounds, pools and outdoor seating and lounging were great. Every staff member with the exception of one waiter were all super helpful and accommodating. A few down sides, beds were too hard, shower only trickled (should incorporate hand held as well), meals in main dining lacked taste and some meats tough. Being 'all inclusive' should really mean that and not charge for safety box (which is already in the room) and WiFi.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort and experience
First off, there have been some bad reviews recently. After being here I have no idea why. So happy we went and ignored the recent bad reviews. Everything was so amazing!
We're a younger couple and went for a week. This place has something for everyone. Great food at all times of the day. The buffet has a lot of options. For breakfast, lunch, and supper! Even if we couldn't book at any a la cartes, we would be happy with the buffet all week. Overall the food was delicious almost every time we a[... read more]te. The Asian a la carte was our favorite.
Plenty of pools and hang out areas. We hung out at every pool different days and the beach as well. The upper area has lots of room and is a little quieter. Good for relaxing days for when you're taking it easy. The lower pools, closer to the beach, are definitely a younger crowd and more of a party atmosphere. This place has 3 swim up bars. So there's really no lack of areas to grab a drink.
This is high season for them and there was a lot of people. Much more of a social environment than other resorts we've been to. Which was cool with us. There was still chairs on the beach or by the pools when we needed them. No long line ups for drinks or food. Which is impressive for such a large resort at maximum capacity.
All of our service was very good. They were happy to serve us and look after us. Sometimes they were so busy there was no one to seat us at a table at the breakfast buffets. That didn't bother us. We're not so picky that we need someone to pull out our chairs and pour our coffee if they are that busy. We are capable adults. If you are that kind of person, or need them to bring your favorite drinks out to the beach for you, you should be booking at a more expensive resort or the palace next door.
The whole place was kept very clean and maintained well. I noticed them painting things that I would have left longer, personally. Cleaning stuff that looked clean anyways. Well done gardening. Just an overall clean, fresh, experience. Keeping things in tip top shape all the time. Not 100%, but more than enough for us, that's for sure.
There was sports and activities at different times of the day. Two places to play water volleyball and beach volley ball as well. Saw several nice weddings.
Room was great! Very clean. Nice bathroom. Awesome balcony. Large bed. By chance, I think we had one of the best room views in our resort. They did a very thorough cleaning when ever we left the 'clean room please' hanger on the door.
Entertainment was good. Not the best I've seen at a resort. But good enough to wander down to see the show for the night. Mostly dancing shows. Extremely talented dancing.
Overall the place was amazing and we will never forget it. Most people we had talked to with a lot more resorts under their belts said this was their top choice. And we can totally see why. We will be returning later in life. With a large group of friends if we can. This ended up way more thorough than I expected. But if anyone has questions, I'd be happy to answer what I can. Thanks for the wonderful memories, Riu Santa Fe!

Riu Santa Fe: Not the Swankiest but FUN!
The staff/servers were delightful and very helpful. Great ocean and pools! The view is stunning + you gotta check out Lover's Beach!! Buffet is decent. Avoid "Asian" restaurant at all costs - horrific!! Steak house + Mexican were decent. Terrible plastic sheet on our bed, but we took it off and slept comfortably. 2 out of our party of 6 people had their cell phones stolen.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great trip
Overall the resort was beautiful and well maintained. Pools were clean and the staff worked hard to keep up the resort. The food and staff were good. Only real downfall for us was we thought the night time entertainment was lacking. The 24hr snack bar could use an update as well. Close to downtown Cabo and sight seeing. So overall a great resort and vacation.

Riu Santa Fe: Great place to get head lice!
Awful hotel. My daughter got head lice, my son and I both got sick. Dirty place. Oh and the housekeeping staff stole some of my clothes. The front desk staff was competly indifferent, terrible service. Food was bad. After the third day I started to just eat fruit. If you want to lose weight this is the place to do it. The one shining star was the kids' club, the staff there were friendly, caring, and my kids LOVED them.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa: Amazing Trip
I must say, this was the Best trip we have ever done. Sunwing was amazing to deal with and the resort was exactly what we expected. Quiet, and perfectly sur-real. The staff was so helpful, and always smiling.
We loved this resort so much, we hope to visit again.
The events we attended where very relaxing.

Blue skies every day, and temp. was 75 daytime and 60 at night, just right for a stroll on the beach.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nice and small... perfect for families!
We were family of 3 + mother in law.
Check in was easy and they did their best to accommodate our request to have 2 rooms side by side.
However, be careful, you have to pay for your safe for the week, works out to approx $25 for the week. This is last chance cash grab, as the safes are available in all rooms anyways and no money would have been required. If you've used them before (enter code), you will have no problem, so save the $25 and just use. This upset us as we through $25 out the door a[... read more]nd it would not have been required. They tell you there would be no access but there is, save the money and do not pay for safe access. Wifi is an extra charge as well, $10 u.s./day for 24 hour access.
Anyways, we were happy with the rooms #125 & #126, side by side and we could visit on the patio outside. The patios faced the garden area, and we could see the pools and bar/show stage easily. Very nice location to be. Rooms are 1 King w/Double Sofa Futon (bring your own bedding), or 2 Double Beds and Chairs. The resort is king room, then double room, then king, double, etc. Perfect for families (no access through rooms though)
Staff was great, everyone friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and check in regularly.
Property is small and intimate. Everyone knows everyone by end of your trip. Only 2 restaurant, 1 is buffet (each night they change up the menu, eg. Oriental, Mexican, etc.) and 1 snack restaurant which turns into a la carte for evening meals. Every 2 days the menu changes, Mediterranean, Italian, etc. Very good food here.
The buffet is small, not a lot of choice, but good. If you love eggs (omeletes) have them cook them longer, always runny if you don't ask.
A La Carte's were excellent, really enjoyed. We ate at the buffet only 2 nights, the last night was the Oriental. Food tasted good, however I spent my last 2 days very sick in the room. I suspect it was the Sushi, not definate. My family did not eat sushi, only me and I was very ill, bed ridden for 2 days (took me 6 days to get over this mexican bug)
There is a MEGA store across the street, dolphin park, and a few restaurants. San Jose is approx 30 min walk, or 5 min cab.
Not a whole lot of souvenir shopping available unless you go into Cabo, however Friday nights at the Resort is Mexican Night. The local venders come in to resort and set up few tables. Pretty reasonable. Also few venders on beach. Airport as well (however most expensive option here)
We would recommend for families or quite vacations as it is pretty low key and gets pretty boring by the end of the week unless you get out and do a few excursions.
Mobility can be a concern too, if you have a wheel chair or disability as there are a few stairs throughout the resort, however we did see a few people and they were getting around with no problem.

Royal Solaris: Great Value
This was our first all inclusive as a family and the resort is absolutely perfect for kids. In many ways the Royal Solaris was better than other 5 star resorts we've stayed at in Mexico. For the price we paid, we thought the service, food and entertainment were top-notch. The rooms are a bit outdated but you won't spend much time in your room with all of the great things to do as a family.

Riu Santa Fe: Party Resort!
Everything here is Great as long as you don't mind a lot of people having a good time. The food is the only reason I knocked one star off. Its not even that its not good tasting but often barley warm. Especially at the a la cartes I expect piping hot food. So its best to watch for them putting out fresh food and eat that or Made to order omletts for breakfast. Tacos for lunch made to order. Cut for you roasts for dinner and made to order stirfry Are the best options for fresh food. There are lot[... read more]s of things to do in the area and it is relatively safe. You can swim at the beach as long as the flags are a safe colour and are a reasonable swimmer. There is a strong rip current that could pose a problem to weak swimmers
even when the flags say its safe.
