Grand Palladium Jamaica: A View to beat all views

We have done some extensive traveling to many different all-inclusive resorts and this property offered by far the best layout we have encountered yet. The main lobby building is built around a spectacular pool that is the largest on the island. The various levels in this building offer multiple dining options, amazing lounge areas that offer a view to die for where you can kick back and relax while being entertained with music. Unfortunately that same level of friendliness and helpfulness did not apply to the majority of the rest of the staff. The food was plentiful and diverse and for the most part very enjoyable. We had an ocean front room that offered incredible panoramic views and our suite was large and very comfortable. When we had an issue with beach towels the night Manager was more than accommodating and had towels delivered to our suite before we had even finished our evening coffee. This is a gem of a property, that needs to upgrade their level of service in the dining and public areas and hang on to all the charm that the rest of the resort offers. Put this resort on your list as a must visit in Jamaica.

Grand Palladium Palace: Super DUPER amazing resort

Everything was wonderful and beautiful. The weather was perfect; not too humid and not too cold. The staff were very nurturing and provided me with everything I needed. They were very social and always happy. The location of my room was perfect as well. Just steps away from the pool, beach, and a restaurant. The beach at Palace was beautiful. Staff were there cleaning the beach and discarding away seaweed or any sort of sea plants. There was a wide variety of restaurants and the buffet always had a variety of choices. Overall, this hotel exceeded expectations and I plan to come again.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Good Family Resort

Went with a family of 5 (3 kids under 11) and we had a good time. There are pros and cons to the resort. With access to all 3 Palladium resorts there were many pools/pool bars and restaurants to choose from and a long sandy beach (no rocks - great for kids to swim). There were lots of activities by the pool and hot dog/popsicle stands that the kids loved. It was relatively easy to find seats by the pool/beach everyday. The food was so-so. There were 45-60 minute wait times at several of the a la carte restaurants as you could not make reservations in advance. This wasn't a problem for our family as we were always full from lunch and happy to wait it out in the bar. A few staff were great but overall most staff were not very friendly/helpful and there was a language barrier (limited English). There were vender stands on the resort and they were very pushy, grabbing even the kids and trying to get us to buy jewelry, wood carvings etc constantly - same with the beach. The grounds were really well kept but several pools were quite dirty (likely due to rainfall overnight).

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Very nice big resort.

Nice design,very clean,well maintained and quiet place.People very friendly and helpful around.Can book some trips around,Air Transat guides friendly and competent.Local personel very good.We really like the food,especially the superfresh fruits dayly served.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Fantastic resort

Good food, rooms great, staff very helpful and courteous. Only negative comment is WestJet rep. Was not there for presentation. Waited 30 minutes but he never came. Called him third day and he sais he would come in 10 minutes but he never came. Day before departure, we wanted to confirm our pick-up but he wasn't answering his phone. We had to ask the hotel to call him the morning of departure. Really bad experience with him.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great time!

Beautiful, huge resort. Room was clean and spacious. Only complaint is the food at the buffet tended to be cold most of the time. However, any of the made to order food was great. Highly recommend ordering at the Sports Bar. The Chang Thai restaurant had really good food with quick service. Alejandro and Alfredo at the swim up bar were awesome. They were friendly and funny. We loved hanging out there in the afternoons. Staff is very friendly and the resort is very well kept.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Beautiful resort

The resort is beautiful and clean. Friendly staff. Lots of restaurants and plenty of space at the beach and pool areas. Rooms were very clean but the bathroom was not the best. Steak and itialioam restaurants are very good but hard to get into as you cannot make reservations. I advise to get there when they open. I would definitely come back to this resort.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing resort

We really enjoyed staying at Grand Palladium Kantenah in Kantenah Beach near Playa del Carmen Is one of my best trip I had in Mexico. The minute we walked in the front lobby we felt we are in paradise everything feel so beautiful the view the people were amazing nice, the services was amazing the view was so wonderful we really enjoy the long walk along the beach every day We also enjoy the walk to our room it felt like we were camping with all the bushes and tropical plant and the walkway in b [... read more]etween. We also loved when we check in and out it was so quick we did not have to wait long to check in or out. We also enjoy the walkway between the restaurants it was so nice. We also loved going with the train to other part of the resort so it was never a boring time. We loved the services and the people were really nice. We also felt so private as there was no once at the beach trying to sell you things. We enjoy it all, I have told all my friends already about this amazing place so if they going for a trip to Mexico they can try it out. For me I would probably go back again to this place.

Only changes required more staff for drinks and upgrade in bathrooms ... not enough bars open line ups long for food and drinks... hotel was nice bathrooms need renovations as they are older and new mattress

Grand Palladium Jamaica: amaising

I like the quality of the rooms, restorants,,bars, beaches. Only one suggestion. The deserts were not good. You need to offer fresh skuise juices at one of the bars all the time. Children and healthy eating people like me are used to do this in our dayly breakfast . You need to have honey too available for breakfast. Rest was grest I am happy with the gym.quite beaches.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Incredible!!!!

We loved every minute of it. The staff, the accomadations, the food, the pools, and the ocean. I went with my 2 yr old daughter and she just loved the kids area as well.Just everything was simply amazing. I would most definetly recommend this resort to anyone. 😊

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great vacation

We just returned from our first trip in Mexico. The Grand Pallidium Kantenah was a great way to spend our first week in Mexico. We stayed in a Junior Suite and were quite surprised with the size of the room. Room was always cleaned and fridge was restocked every day Staff were always friendly ready to help with anything. Honestly there is only one complaint I can think of. Every morning we went for breakfast the waiter/waitress brought coffee and every morning they then had to go looking for spoons cause they set the tables with knifes and forks only. Management if you read this please save your staff all that running around looking for spoons so they can better serve their tables,and put the spoons on every table. This seems like a minor thing but it's crazy when every morning you need to ask for a soon for your coffee. Loved every minutes of our vacation and are planning a return next year. Grand Palladium Vallarta: Fine, not awesome

This is the second time we have visited GPV, the first being about 5 years ago and this most recent from Nov. 27 - Dec. 4, 2016. We did not stay at the Royal side, although we contemplated it. For us, it's not really worth the extra cost because we don't care about the rooms that much, just the beach. For some, the cost might be worth it. This resort has a lot of kids. The rooms are entirely adequate for the 4 star rating of this hotel. The beach is good, but note there are some rocks which can cut feet. The water is turbulent, not good for snorkelling and probably not that great if you aren't a decent swimmer. But it is good for body boarding and there is a big surfing contingent at this resort, surf boards are part of the all inclusive. We tried surfing, but found it very scary! We stuck with boogie boards. But, you can surf at this resort. The bars and drinks are good. We were very happy that they use re-usable plastic cups for beach and pool drinks instead of disposable cups. The a la carte restaurants are good, we like the Mexican the best. We like how there are no reservations at the a la carte - you just go when you are ready for dinner and occasionally you will have to wait a little while, but not always. The buffet for us was just OK. At times we found the servers quite dismissive, but not all of them and not all of the time. I think we are pretty low maintenance - we perhaps just caught some servers on a bad day or something. I would note that I got many bug bites - I think they are probably sand flea bites from the beach. If you are prone to bug bites (as I am, my spouse did not get any) I would suggest bringing some repellant and/or after bite treatment. I did not bring either of these things and was very itchy the whole time! Overall this is a good resort for the price we paid. It seems that it would be very good for families as there are many kids and they offer day care as well I think.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Grand Palladium was not as good as expected

I will give 3 stars to the Grand Palladium Jamaica. We travel a lot and I compare GP Jamaica with the other two Palladium's that we've already went to at Riviera Maya and Dominican Republic. This is at the bottom of the list ... and we came here having high expectations ... Why ? First of all we are returning guests for Palladium - the only think they have for returning guests are 4 very small cookies ... Is better to be a returning guest for Bahia Príncipe or Iberostar where we've got upgra [... read more]ded room, separate check in, more services, even a weekly private party for returning guests at Bahia Príncipe Tulum etc ... so, the returning guests for Palladium are not valuable customers ... Somebody asked me - what we can do or change to make your stay better? - I will say change the people's more precisely change the management team. We love Jamaica and previously we had amazing experiences at SansSouci, Sandals and Veranda. The property is huge, beautiful beaches, the property is old but well kept and clean. One of the issues is the fact that the property is renovating 2 restaurants, part of the building and more ... that means great news for future customers ... but for us, was less choices, one of the beach with no washroom, noise etc. and they are doing nothing to accommodate the customers or to limit the consequences. The food and restaurants. The food was ok, nothing more. Less choices than at Bahia Principe or Iberostar. Less choices than at Palladium Riviera Maya ... the peoples at the restaurants generally unfriendly ... The best experience for us was at the steak house, great service, great food. At Palladium to reserve a restaurant is a privilege ... Was low season and the customers are waiting in line outside of the restaurants to get a table ... simply unacceptable ! I don't even imagine what will be for the Christmas and the end of the year ... At Palladium Jamaica the kids Club was great. Our 5 YO daughter just love it. Overall this hotel has potential and can be great ... But for the same price I will recommend to choose a different hotel chain for now. Finally - Grand Palladium or Lady Hamilton ? I was happy I didn't spend the money for Lady Hamilton ... Is not worth the difference, you have access to the same services, same restaurants, same beaches the same room size and amenities ... Grand Palladium Jamaica: Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort

Upon arrival at the Grand Palladium in Jamaica we were first told that they didn't have our booking. They discovered our reservation at the sister resort - Lady Hamilton! We found out from the relatives we were meeting from the UK that they wrote to Palladium asking that our group stay together in the same part of the resort. They went one step further and upgraded all of us (5 couples) to the Lady Hamilton. What a nice surprise! Throughout the week the resort ran out of supplies - bananas, fresh pineapple, gin, beef (at the steakhouse). The breakfast buffet items seemed to deplete quickly and less options available as the stay went out, Seemed like they were watching the budget!!

Grand Palladium Colonial: Great Resort

Beautiful well maintained property . Clean comfortable rooms . Lots of different pools including adult pools . Plenty of eating areas with no shortage of good food . This is a large property with shuttles to get you around if walking is not your thing . Located on the Caribean Sea this resort has it all and we will return again soon for our forth visit .

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Horriable hotal with the worst service

The beachs are great, ocean calm and water great for swimming. Food is awesome in the buffet but other then that it's ok went to the steak house which was horrible under cook steaks,raw potatoes couldn't even finish the meal. The staff is probably the rudest and least caring I have ever had always expected a tip even if they did nothing to deserve it. Grand Palladium Jamaica: Not worth the money

It was an ok resort but not worth the money. There's lots of pros and cons so I'll list what comes to mind. If you like bland, boring food, the buffets are for you. The al-a-cart restaurants were good as was the sports bar. The staff was friendly but don't expect much more than that. The staff were also more than willing to offer us marijuana, cocaine, and even offered the services of a prostitute to one of our friends. Not sure what kind of resort this is. We couldn't even get our mini bar/fri [... read more]dge restocked. We had a leak in the bathroom that no one ever repaired, so water was constantly coming through the wall. We had complimentary coffee in our room but no coffee maker. We also got ripped off for $60 after the photo hut gave us a blank DVD and did not respond back to me when contacted about it. The entertainment department did a great job with their shows and assorted activities. Lots of options for off resort excursions but be prepared to pay lots. Coarse sand on the beach which wasn't exactly nice to walk on. The pool was really nice, except it was half closed for renovations. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. You can definitely get better value for your money.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: just okay

Rooms were fine. Pool bar amazing service thanks too simone and Alexis .the sports bar was great food. Buffets had a very minimal selection if you arent a fan of meat. Restaurants you should definitely reserve or you will be waiting a very long time. Not senior friendky at all. The grounds need more people picking up debris. The gardeners will approach you along with other staff to try and sell you dope.

Grand Palladium Colonial: great time!!!

i just returned from my stay at the grand palladium colonial in mexico and i have to say that i am over the moon happy with my week spent there. from the moment i arrived at the resort i felt spoiled. it is a beautiful resort and the pictures you see online is what you are going to get. very clean and well maintained with a emphasis on being ecologically mindful. the food was amazing and no matter how picky of an eater you are you will definitely be able to find something to eat no problem. nev [... read more]er had to wait long to get a drink at any of the bars. no problem getting a lounger at the beach, which by the way is amazing. perfect weather. the staff are very friendly and more than willing to help in whatever way they can. great shows and there is always something to do. they also had a great area for children with a water park, very family friendly resort. when i next travel alone i will certainly be staying at one of the grand palladium resorts. thanks again for the wonderful stay, i certainly didnt want to come home!!!!
