Holiday Inn Hotel and Reaort was a wonderful place to stay. The facility was well kept and clean. Our room was always tidied and fresh for when we returned from a day of relaxing by the pools or exploring the area. Staff were always friendly and extremely helpful with all inquiries. The food and drink selection was vast and delicious. More options then I could try! Thanks for having us at your resort, we will be back soon.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort
We were 8 of us in the group. Had a great time. All good. The staff is very friendly. Best resort I have ever been too. I have been to a lot of them. I will go again for sure. We were happy with the food and rooms. Very clean and spacious rooms.
The only thing was that the beach is not calm and so we didn’t go in the water and I found out from reviews that it’s like that the whole year.
But we all will go back for sure.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing experience
We stayed at the Iberostar pariso beach which was on the lower end of the 5 resorts (Del mar being our equal we could use their facilities too) while we were given the option to upgrade once we got there I found we really didn't need to. Since we didn't have kids with us this time I found the pariso beach had a lot less kids on this side and made our trip even better. We only got the option of 3 a la cart reservations we could make but only used 1 because the buffet was amazing at every meal. Th[... read more]ey had a great variety every night and didnt dissapoint. The sushi and mexican cuisine was my favorite and the coffee was so good every morning. A little strong but I loved it. The staff are all so kind and pleasent. The bus boys were the best and are always willing to drive you around in their little carts as the grounds are huge. I found the concierge not very helpful but always wanting to get you to buy extras or go to their 'presentation'. They do offer some compensation in iberostar bucks for going to this presentation for an hour, but I wasn't totally clear on how they can actually be spent so I declined. The grounds are very clean and well kept. The pools are as well. The drinks are either very sweet or salty but once you find one that works for you its easy to just stick with that. I thought cranberry and vodka might be ok but it was full of syrop so I ended up getting pineapple vodka and it tasted pretty good ( no syrop) the rooms were ok , not perfect as we were told we were getting a king sized bed and they just pushed 2 double beds together. Overall this resort was a really great experience and so beautiful I would stay there again.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Not royalton quality
Beach was what we went for....it was very seaweed filled...although they tried cleaning the beach with one small dozer working all day long, they beach never cleared of seaweed and the water was always murky....very disappointing....
Rooms were okay...our bathroom sliding door was broke and wouldn't close, the balcony deck jaccuzi filled the water with black flecks coming out of all the jets....
Most workers expected tips for any assistance they gave you...
Although the resort warned that bea[... read more]ch chairs could not be held and your belongings would be removed if unoccupied for an hour, this did not apply to people who paid off the workers to hold their loungers, in one case 10 beach loungers were held for a group of 20 year olds until after noon when they finally showed up...leaving other guests without loungers...
Resort stores were ok but a bit pricey...
We were asked to move from two different bar area chairs because we were not ordering drinks....
And when we sat in a beach cabana bed we were told we had to pay 50.00 if we wanted to sit there...which was fine if that's the policy, but people who sat in them after we moved, were not told to leave them.
Food was average though the workers were nice. Take your own steak sauce, they don't have any.
Entertainment was not as good as other places we have vacationed...no Michael Jackson, karaoke, water showsetc.
They also told us to put our umbrella down on the beach due to the Wind one day...but other people In the next section down could leave theirs up..,and it was very hot....
Also the entertainment crew only catered to the pool area...they never came to the beach to let us know when things were going to happen like trivia, yoga, pool volleyball etc. We only saw a member from the team when he came to the beach to get people to play beach volleyball...
I do not believe we will return to this resort....

Live Aqua Cancun: A class on its own
Live Aqua, in our opinion, is head & shoulders above the rest on the Cancun Hotel strip. The level of service is impeccable, the food, extraordinary, and the location, perfect. We have stayed in a few hotels along this strip ( as well as in the Mayan Riviera ) over many years, but none come close to the classiness of this resort. The hotel staff from top to bottom genuinely go out of their way to ensure that your personal experience is the best. This was our 2nd visit to Live Aqua and we will de[... read more]finitely return.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: My second time here and won’t be my last!
I absolutely love this resort. It checks off all of my requirements and allows me a relaxed, chill, fun stay. I book the swim up rooms which are superb. The rooms are fresh, contemporary and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and in terms of amnenities, they’re all wonderful. The grounds are designed quite nicely and there’s never a lack of personal space. If you’re looking to party on, there’s that too at the main pool which is a blast! I’ll be coming back for sure. I love the re[... read more]sort and the area it’s in. If you’re a walker (like I am) walking to Playa Del Carmen’s city center is about two hours along the beach which is marvellous if walking and nature are your thing.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Every day was something new!!!
From sunrise to sunset, we had everything at our fingertips. Amazing resort, staff, rooms and pools. The beach is great and you can walk all day long. The swim up room made the holiday perfect! We were at the Grand Sunset Princess back in 2014 and wanted to come back for more. Never disappointed and so many excursions that we were able to get to. Swimming with the sea turtles was the dream that came true! Coming back for a third time for sure!

Vamar Vallarta: Relaxing Puerto Vallarta Week
We have been to several 3 * Mexican All Inclusive Hotels and this was the nicest one so far.
PRO's: This hotel is located right next to the upscale marina area which provided another destination for strolls day or evening extremely safe. Whole hotel is layed out well for people with mobility issues with ramps ,saw several people with walkers and even wheel chairs. Bus stops in front of hotel 7.5 pesos [appx. 50 cents CAD] to go into PV easy! We enjoyed the option of utilizing the marina sid[... read more]e with 2 pools and the beach side with 2 pools , pools were great no problems finding chairs or towels. The hotel is extremely clean, gardens and the staff super We upgraded to a superior balcony room [our room #5011] very spacious room, deck has 2 chairs and a table.Beds were the most comfortable we have had , linens and towels were good [ no wash clothes but we always bring a couple so no problem this is standard for a lot of hotels in sun destinations ] We felt it was very worthwhile to upgrade. The beach is a small bay between Mayan Palace and Melia resorts. Hotel has 2 elevators quick and efficient. Buffet has seating next to water very enjoyable to watch boats come and go -- we expected more noise from marina but it was very quiet. We ate at Italian ala carte and beach side seafood ala carte once each -- great service , food presented well. What is called a snack bar near beach has salad fixings. pasta and hamburgers, chicken sandwich and pizza that you order off menu. We went first week of April so slower season -- no line ups for food or at bars -- paid $1019 per person direct from Victoria
Cons : This is not a party hotel don't expect a lively night time atmosphere [only a con if that is what you are looking for --others wise a pro] there are stage shows each night some better than others . The lobby area does not have evening music or alot of seating but there is a small bar there. This advertises as a 3 * therefore do not expect 5 * food, buffet has options but they are not endless as you might find in a larger higher star property. Again we were happy with food and service. If you want to go on long beach walks this is not a good choice -- beaches are broken into smaller areas with rock breakwaters.
Construction -- yes there is a new building under construction right next door -- it is several stories taller that Vamar -- what does this mean -- during the day there is some noise -- our room was on opposite side of building so we only noticed it when going out street level or by pool.[ My husband enjoyed watching the activity] But option is to just go over to beach side of resort , short stroll away and complete different experience.
Events--this property is popular with Mexican families for large events such as weddings. Occupancy on Friday and Saturday nights and days may be alot more than during the week. My advice be tolerant , bring earplugs and remember we have all celebrated major events with our families.

Riu Santa Fe: Great party resort
Very clean grounds and public areas and washrooms.Staff very friendly and helpful.Food was good.Personly we found the the resort to noise for us, the resort is more geared for a younger crowd. Was disappointed that we had booked to a superior room and found it was to noisy. To change rooms we downgraded to get a quieter room, but was not refunded the $200.00 that I had to pay extra for the superior room..

Dreams Riviera Cancun: I wanted to love it! But I liked it!
Dreams Riviera Cancun
Travelled as a family, myself and husband and two children (2.5 and 5years old)
First time travelling with the kids after many trips to Mexico. I wanted a family resort that was small with great pools, great food and great service.
What we loved:
*Pools - they are heated and this is amazing when your kids want you in the pool at 8:30am. So nice. No chill. Three pools in total. One is very shallow for kids. The activity pool has a shallow ledge and about 4.5 feet at t[... read more]he deepest depth. Lastly the infinity pool with swim up bar - gorgeous view. All pools were clean.
*More lounge chairs than guests! This was amazing!
*No towel cards - every resort should follow their lead. Taking and returning towels = zero headache. No cards. Take as many towels as you needed.
*small resort. Perfect layout. Easily walkabout to any area in a few mins. Perfect for small children. Beautiful grounds. Spacious and comfortable room. Beds and pillows were great.
*wait service in the buffet and restaurants we always found great. Everyone was kind.
What surprised me the most was the food. I didn’t love it! I expected more from a 5 star resort. We went to the buffet and wondered where the rest of it was. Small with little selection. The basics were there. We didn’t go hungry and what we ate was fine - we were just never wowed. The restaurants were just ok. Skip the tacos at the Mexican restaurant. They weren’t good. We’ve stayed at other chains with far better food and selection. I def expected more from Dreams in this area.
Because of the food, I likely would return to this resort if we found an amazing deal. The good outweighed the bad. We had a great week with loads of family time by the pools. I think the resort expects everyone to eat at the restaurants in the evening but this isn’t always ideal with kids. More variety and selection in the buffet would put you a step above.
Thanks for a great week!
Debbie at TripCentral was AMAZING to work with. I will be booking our next trip with you!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Care and Service - Over the Top !!!
So a little story about this Resort, This morning at the beginning of our day, I was slipping into the pool when it felt like something bit me. As I looked down in the water I saw a cloud and knew it was blood. After getting out of the water I pulled a piece of tile from my big toe and the blood came gushing. With a towel on my foot keeping pressure on the wound, a fella passed by and laughed as he thought I had spilled a Strawberry Daquiri. Yep there was a lot of blood.
One of the poolside b[... read more]artenders saw a commotion and realized what had happened and summoned security and our building's concierge. First aid treatment was applied by security and a paramedic from Nova Scotia, (Sarah Kingsbury, he knows you and said you transported him to or from a hospital at his time of need). I was returned to my room to await the resort doctor.
The resort doctor arrived took vitals and inspected the cut and said I would require stitches. Now here is where this story gets interesting....
When we arrived at the main lobby, accompanied by the doctor and the concierge, I was informed that the resort would cover all medical bills, prescriptions and the Taxi, which was instructed to wait for us in the parking lot until our time of return. (4 hours later).
At the hospital not only was I seen by a doctor but was referred to the Plastic Surgeon, and he proceeded to clean the wound and stitch me up. 3 in number.
We returned to the resort with all taken care of. This level of care and service will definitely keep us coming back to this resort. As this is Kelly and my second time here it will NOT be our last. It sucked to get my foot cut open in the pool but accidents do happen from time to time. At least it was me and not a young child.
Kelly and I would like to thank the staff at the Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda, and a special shout out to Our Concierge Carlos, and the resort MD, Claudia, and Fernando at the Snack Bar for Excellent Service.
Thanks, and see you next year.

We were very pleased with this resort. It was our first time at this one and it definitely met our expectations. Rooms very clean, and restocked bar fridge daily, lots of bottled water. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Living in the jungle
So we just returned from an 8 day trip to sandos Eco resort. Beautiful resort with tons to do. You don’t even need to leave your resort. The food was good. Authentic Mexican cuisine. Every night was a different theme at the buffet restaurant which is nice. We missed out on reservations on the Japanese restaurant :(. Apparently it was an awesome fire show (you don’t have to go for the food just like that they make your food at your table) it was completely booked by the 2nd day we were there [... read more]so that sucked. The random animals all over the place (aardvarks, raccoons, millions of birds, monkeys, snakes, donkeys, ducks) everything you can imagine. Was at this resort. There was a sweet water pool that you could go snorkeling in. The pools were nice a little jammed packed (most of the Time) so we hung out on the beach. We were really disappointed with the water. There was coral rocks you had to walk around to get out in the ocean. And you couldn’t walk too far out (maybe to your thighs) because of them. There was a mix up with our stay. The receptions computer system only had us booked in for 7 nights but we booked for 8 nights. It was an ongoing problem the whole week for them to fix it in their computer. On the last day we got locked out of our room. Not impressed !! We didn’t fall for the time share guest service people trying to sell us something. But they were pretty pushy !! All in all it was a nice resort so I would recommend it. Not if your a beach person. This beach is not for you. People that worked there were wonderful !! I wish they would bring back the all night snacks at the snack bar. Azul was a happy guy and made excellent ice cream. But they should bring the all night snack bar back for him!!!

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa: Relaxing Resort
We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica during the first week in April and, overall, were really impressed with many aspects of the resort.
Arrival
-we found our shuttle easily at airport and were surprised to be the only two people on it. The drive from the airport to the resort was about 40 minutes without any other stops along the way.
-we arrived around 3pm and were able to check in immediately, with no wait in line. However, we did see that another couple had been waiting for a while and w[... read more]ere told their room wasn't ready at 3 (the check in time). Reception was pleasant but nothing special.
Resort
-the hotel and grounds are beautiful and tastefully done. The resort is on the smaller side but it never felt crowded. In fact it was often half empty! The resort is really quiet and, with the exception of Saturday afternoon, there was no rowdy or drunk guests. Even the one group that was definitely having a good time were not really overly loud or disruptive. The pools are large but the water is on the cold side. We could always find chairs to sit in by the pool. Getting an umbrella was slightly more difficult because there weren’t that many and, on windy days you are not permitted to use the umbrellas. The beach is basically empty as swimming is not permitted.
-you can visit other resorts owned by Pueblo Bonito. PB Sunset Beach was very nice and the food we had there was also excellent. PB Rose was closer to downtown Cabo and had access to a swimable beach; however, it was loud and crowded and the food we tried was terrible.
-we were told we could take a free shuttle between resorts and into downtown Cabo but this proved to be more complicated than expected. When we attempted to take the shuttle from PB Rose back to the Pacifica we were told all the shuttles for the afternoon/evening were “full†and that we needed “a ticketâ€. We could never figure out how to get tickets (despite this being “explained†to us a couple times).
Room
-our room was comfortable and reasonably well appointed. The bed was comfortable. We had a nice view of the resort and ocean from our small veranda. The room had a coffee maker and minifridge. The fridge had two beer, two waters, and two cans of coke and was usually replenished daily.
-the room is not overly soundproof and we could hear people walking up stairs and around the room above us. Fortunately, the resort is very quiet so this was rarely a problem but it could be if the resort was full.
Gym
-The gym was brand new, large, and well appointed with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, free weights, and machines. It was also almost empty most days. Probably the best gym I have seen at an all-inclusive.
Service
-every staff member we encountered was professional, extremely polite, and very helpful. The service really stood out compared to other similar all-inclusive resorts we have visited in Mexico and elsewhere. The service in the restaurants was exceptionally good.
-That being said, the service was very slow at the pool (for food and drinks) even by all-inclusive standards and occasionally they forgot our order entirely. For example, we waited for over an hour for lunch at the snack bar on a couple occasions.
Food
-The food (snack bar, restaurants, and room service) was exceptional for an all inclusive and we were really impressed with the quality and variety. The Sunday brunch buffet looked particularly good (though on the smaller side compared to other resorts we have been to) but we were not able to try it as we had to leave before it opened.
-room service had a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night options and all of the things we tried were really good. The wait for room service ranged from 25 to 60 minutes.
-it's important to know that not all of the options on the restaurant menus are included and many of the best meals had additional charges (40 to 50 USD or more).
-also, some of the restaurants have additional entry charges (20 to 35 USD) as well as additional charges for certain menu items.
-we were surprised to learn that there is no lunch or supper buffets. For supper, you need to make a reservation at one of the three restaurants on site (or at restaurants at sister resorts). When making a reservation, we were usually able to get the time we wanted; however, the restaurants were often half empty when we arrived, which made us wonder why we needed to make a reservation in the first place.
-the Steakhouse at the Golf Club/Quivira should not be missed, even though there is a 35 USD pp additional charge. The setting and restaurant are beautiful and the food was delicious.
Alcohol
-many "top shelf" brands had additional costs and they were not brands that were overly expensive or fancy (e.g., Patron, Makers' Mark, and Jameson's were not included)
-the house red and white wine (only all-inclusive wine options) were absolutely terrible and undrinkable. At the restaurants the wines on the wine list are extra and one of the cheapest bottles cost 50 USD.
Tipping
-almost every time you order a drink and every time we ordered food, we were asked for our room number and then provided with an itemized bill of the cost in USD and Mexican pesos. Even when the cost was 0 the bill was still provided and tipping expected.
Internet
-internet access was sporadic and did not work well from our room. Instagram in particular was very difficult to use. The wifi was also very slow, even for basics like checking email.
Summary
-overall we were really pleased with almost all aspects of the Pacifica and would return.

hotel very old, grounds well kept very clean,Most dinning is very good, service is good also.
Beach area is quite small for hotel size..not enough palaps for shade.people tend to leave towels on lounges
