Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Breathtaking Resort!

From the moment you step out of your travel vehicle there is this amaing theraputic scent that greets you as you walk up to the lobby to check in. The view out to the ocean from the lobby is filled with beautiful pools, lush vegetation and tasteful decorations. The staff was courteous and flexible with the our room choice. We were accompanied to our room with our luggage and our first impression was WOW! Comfortable, clean, and luxurious. There are ample choices for restaurants and I could not pick a favorite as they were all delicious!! The entertainment staff were friendly and talented. The shows were modern and amazing. We spent our nights playing cards in the rendezvous lounge on the comfortable swing sofas. We absolutely loved our experiences and time at the Secrets. We would go back again and would suggest the same to friends and family.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Incredible Resort

This resort was one of the best places we have traveled too. The service was a 5 star all the way. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious. The entertainment was excellent with some nights offering vegas style shows. The beach was one of the nicest beaches I have seen, plus you can swim with the turtles right at the beach. Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: Amazing Resote

We were booked into the La Perla side of the hotel (adults only). The hotel and grounds were amazing and always clean. The customer service provided was top notch. Everyone at this hotel was focused on customer service. They did not expect any tips. The bar service was always very fast and the drinks were consistent. The a la cartes had decent food and a good variety. The food at the buffet was okay, but did not seem to compare with the quality of the resort. Our room was spectacular. This was probably one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed in. The nightly entertainment was a hit and miss. Some of the shows were amazing while others were so so. They did have live bands playing at the different bars on different nights and most were good. They had a Casino night in the Red Lounge one night and that was fun. The beach was nice. Some spots were very rocky. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would go back in a heartbeat

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: amazing resort

beautiful presentation, grounds wonderful, rooms have no view of the ocean but there is so much to see out of your window no matter where in the resort you are, great food and staff very helpful! No hot tubs in the whole complex only jetted cold not appealing water..not so great about directions throughout the resort.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: 12th time, alway's amazing.

The resort is spotless, the food is excellent, the service is second to none. Many of the same people are still there from our first visit. Meet many friend's that also have been returning for year's.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing Time

Loved the weather, food, hotel, restaurants and tours. Would definitely return. We went on a tour to Xelha. My wife had never snokelled before and she loved it. That was a highlight. Lazy river, zip-lining and a cave.

HM Playa del Carmen: Surpassed Expectations!

Great location. Peaceful oasis close to Fifth Avenue. Very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast buffet was adequate with enough choices to satisfy most people. We were fortunate that the wifi worked fine in our room (118) on the ground floor.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellent!

This hotel was beautiful and the food was great. My only complaint is that the pool bar was not heated nor was the lazy river in front of our room. We still loved it and would return. The staff were amazing and no was never an option when you asked them for something. They go above and beyond.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Awesome Resort

Beautiful new hotel and grounds. Plenty of wonderful smiling staff. Very clean hotel. Large rooms. Great food at the buffet and most of the restaurants. It was a big convenience to get free wifi throughout the whole resort and down to the beach as well as free calling to North America. Having a wrist band that was also a room key was great. The only negative things were the loud music at the adults only pool. Most of the time you couldn't carry on a conversation with the person next to y [... read more]ou. It was definitely hard to sit and quietly read a book and de-stress. Eventually we had to ask the entertainment staff to turn it down. There were far too many areas where people could trip and fall such as sidewalks on a steep angle and unmarked sidewalk drop off. Brown water constantly came out of the taps in the room. We did not use any of the extra services such as the spa due to the extremely high prices - higher that I've seen at any other resort.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing snorkelling!

We snorkelled with turtles and many beautiful coloured fish right off the beach! Definitely the highlight of our trip! Clean resort, friendly helpful staff, great variety of buffet food and al la carte restaurants!

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Five Stars and the 28 people I went with I believe would agree

The Jade Riviera Cancun is a beautiful resort. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good restaurants and no problems. Lots to do on site and the concierge was super helpful with off-site entertainment, eg golf, snorkeling trips and excursions to Playa Del Carmen etc. I only wish I could stay longer.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing trip!

Fantastic resort! It's HUGE so it took more than a few days to get it all figured out lol. There's definately something for everyone here. We travelled with another family as a group of 9 (5kids and 4 adults). Rooms are large and beautiful. Food was fantastic everyday. It was very difficult to book us into the a la carts that we wanted (Mexican, Brazilian and Japanese) even tho we inquired within 2 hours of arriving at the resort, but our concierge managed to book us into all 3 for our last 3 ni [... read more]ghts of our vacation. The entertainment was fantastic, drinks were great & ALL of the staff are wonderful & helpful. Lots of hilarious wildlife to entertain the kids! I would recommend to everyone to bring pesos as they seem to charge everything in their currency (our other 3 trips to Mexico they preferred USD) so for us Canadians, pesos was a cheaper alternative. Pools were big, never an issue getting a poolside lounger (& we needed 9 everyday)...same as the beach...lots of chairs for everyone. Beach was beautiful and amazing that you can snorkel right from the beach and see lots of tropical fish, sea turtles and stingrays. Make sure to wear water shoes as it's a bit rocky at the shoreline. Really can't complain about anything at all & would recommend this resort to anyone!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing time at Grand Bahia Principe Tulum

My friend and I had a wonderful time during our 10-day vacation. The staff was fantastic, smiling and helpful. The entertainment staff was super friendly and energetic. Tons of activities going on all day long. There is no way someone can be bored during their stay. The room was clean met our needs. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I loved the beach. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fabulous resort

Terrific service, great food, spotless upkeep,very helpful staff. Easy to get around and a bonus that you can use the facilities at 4 different resorts. Beach is not great but that's the only negative.

Catalonia Yucatan: Beautiful resort

Nice resort, not too big, and in a great location within Playa Aventuras. Beach is smaller, but nice with good swimming. Food was good with excellent staff. Definitely of the quality expected from Catalonia resort. Definitely recommend it

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Wonderful Vacation

We travelled to Azul Fives in Mayan Riveria the last two weeks in November and had a wonderful vacation. Azul Fives is not a mega resort, which is a plus for us. The property does not have an extensive beach front, rather it is long and then swings wide at the front/street front. Currently there are 18 buildings with more under construction. The higher the number, the further you are away from the beach. We were in buildings 15 and 16 (we moved once) and depending on how fast you walk would [... read more] take about 15 minutes or so to walk to the beach or to one of the restaurants in the evening. As this was about the only exercise I got I wasn't too adverse to this. You can always call for a golf cart to pick you up and take you to the beach. The main swimming pool is at the beach but there are tons of smaller swimming pools surrounding all the units with a bar and restaurant close by. Room: We initially booked the deluxe room in Building 15. I must admit it was quite a shock but when I saw the size. We have travelled extensively to all-inclusive resorts where typically you have your bed, night tables, a dresser and usually either a small couch or a couple of chairs with a small table. Lots of room. The deluxe room has enough room for the bed and night tables on either side - no drawers or shelf. There is a small depth sofa type table but no drawers to put your clothing, etc. So if you tend to bring lots of clothing you will be hard pressed to put things away. I asked for 15 extra hangers in order that I could hang my T-shirts, etc. I know you don't spend a lot of time in your room and we did make it work but I was just surprised. Also, the air conditioner was not working properly and it took a couple of days to get it right. Coincidentally, we were upgraded to Building 16 the same day as the air conditioner was working properly to a 1 BR suite, so that solved the problem of the air conditioning and storage. Concierge: Each 4 buildings (approx.) has their own concierge to help you with anything you need from booking your dinner reservations, requesting hangers, ordering a golf cart if you need a ride, etc. This is a wonderful idea. You deal with your own concierge instead of having to call/go to the front desk all the time. Our main contacts were Carolina and Michelle. They were absolutely wonderful to deal with - so friendly and cheerful. Restaurants: Of course there was your buffet. We do not care for buffet as the food is never hot and this was no different. We had breakfast every morning at the buffet. Dinners were all wonderful, except for the buffet for the "heat" reason. Great variety of choice for dinners - Tapas, Sea Olive, Italian, Sushi, Thai, French, Flavours (buffet) and a whole variety of others for lunch. All excellent - just ask my waistline. Beach: There are a fair amount of loungers and shade at the beach. My complaint was that they are placed so close together, basically touching each other. They really should spread them out. More comfortable for everyone. The sand was fairly soft but a little more coarse by the water's edge. Small swimming area between two piers and a massive man made sand bag in the water; so this was a bit disappointing for us. Entertainment: This resort does not have a large auditorium/stage that you tend to see at the resorts. Rather most of the evening entertainment was done in the courtyard. We really enjoyed this. It was more street music feel. Live singers, bands, etc. A very nice way to enjoy the evening while having a drink. A casino night, Mexican night, market night was also offered in the courtyard. Loved it. They also had entertainment in the Sky Bar by the beach in the evening - ie Michael Jackson, magician, live band. Don't expect the big stage show, it is just a larger bar with entertainment. Jungle: The hotel was built around a jungle. There is a wonderful boardwalk from the higher numbered units to about mid point in the resort. If you are lucky you will see spider monkeys and other wildlife. It is lit up in the evening and it looks good and Flavours restaurant takes advantage of this view with lots of windows. All in all a great holiday. People very friendly and aim to please.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Very good resort

The hotel is undergoing renovations in the lobby area (the roof) when I was there but don't let that deter from choosing this place. It's a good resort that offers a lot and across the way is their sister property (Coba) which is very nice. Staff are courteous and overall, the hotel is clean. A very pleasant stay.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Absoultely amazing resort!!!!

We were at this resort Nov 18-25 2016. Wish we would've booked longer. We were in the adult only section and it was well worth the upgrade. The quality of the food and drinks were excellent! Loved the adult pool. This has been my third time to Mexico and this was my first time at this resort. They really catered to us. We booked the spa and the massages themselves were really good, I booked three while I was there. However the only downfall was the receptionist at the spa...she tried to upsell o [... read more]ther services and was not that friendly when I wouldn't agree. I almost changed my mind because I was insulted my her persistence. I told her 3 times no and had to keep emphasizing what I wanted. she finally backed off. I had talked to other guests at the resort and they were experiencing the same issue with the receptionist. But the massages are well worth it. The beach itself is nice and clean but the water is a little rougher and the rockier than the other resorts that I stayed at. Also I really enjoyed the animals that we got to see. Although we didn't bring our kids to this resort, I would recommend this for families as well...kids aqua park and the entertainment nightly was enjoyed by the kids as well as the adults. I will definitely go back. I miss this place already. Top notch service all the way around...you will not get better than this!

Our stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal was fantastic. The grounds are impeccable. The staff is friendly and always ready to help you. The food at the buffet was deliciious and the "a la carte" restaurants have great atmosphere. We would go back in a heart beat.

Grand Palladium Colonial: great time!!!

i just returned from my stay at the grand palladium colonial in mexico and i have to say that i am over the moon happy with my week spent there. from the moment i arrived at the resort i felt spoiled. it is a beautiful resort and the pictures you see online is what you are going to get. very clean and well maintained with a emphasis on being ecologically mindful. the food was amazing and no matter how picky of an eater you are you will definitely be able to find something to eat no problem. nev [... read more]er had to wait long to get a drink at any of the bars. no problem getting a lounger at the beach, which by the way is amazing. perfect weather. the staff are very friendly and more than willing to help in whatever way they can. great shows and there is always something to do. they also had a great area for children with a water park, very family friendly resort. when i next travel alone i will certainly be staying at one of the grand palladium resorts. thanks again for the wonderful stay, i certainly didnt want to come home!!!!
