Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Beautiful Resort!

Everything was great about this resort! Friendly staff and great food! The pools were massive especially on the palace side. Beaches were beautiful and water was perfect. 40 degrees every day, couldnt have asked for better weather. Disco open every night as well as a casino next door which is 24hrs. Went in with $20 walked out with $200 and peaced out within 10 minutes. Im good. Definately go back again!

Riu Republica: Nice place

Good food, actually very good food. Liked that all of the 3 restaurants were along the same row. Quite nice beach and enjoyed the walk up pool bar. Large resort and quite nice. I didn't feel it warranted a 5 star rating, not as luxurious as what I would consider to be a 5 star. Maids did well with keeping it clean. Unusual washroom - it had a smoked glass wall in the shower so that others in the room could see outlines of the person as they took a shower! Not a good design idea. Felt very  [... read more]secure. A few of the staff did not speak English, but they did the best they could. Staff were all very nice and provided good service.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: amazing resort (wow)

we just got back from the grand palladium punta cana and it was great, almost flaw-less, i think the food, drinks ans service was the best i ever had so far, in my group of 12 i think everyone was happy and everyone said they will return some day, i know i will. if you go on trip advisory and if you read the bad reviews they are the people that can fine 7 things with a rain bow and should stay home. it's a beautiful place and if you do book and go you will have the time of your life. thanks for  [... read more]reading. wayne.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful resort!

Thanks to Karol Chareza our travel agent we had an amazing time in Punta Cana. Karol suggested Gran Baha'i Punta Cana and made all our arrangements for us and he was just wonderful and so full of knowledge. The resort is very large and beautiful and grounds are immaculately kept. The rooms are clean but a little dated. Your not in them much so not a big deal. Buffet and restaurants where excellent. Plenty of variety on the buffets and good quality too. The shows at night are very good, especiall [... read more]y the Michael Jackson show, a must see. Very hot in Punta Cana and trying to get a chair in the shade around the pool proved to be difficult most days as people reserve them very early in the morning by placing their towels on them. Good food areas around the pool and bar service was good. All in all a great time.

Occidental Caribe: Love love love!

This was my boyfriend and I first vacation...staying on a budget and trying to find somewhere nice all at the same time was difficult however we came across Barcelo PC. Amazing food, wonderful staff, clean room/resort and the beach was breathtaking...We had an amazing experience with the staff and the al carte restaurants. Definitely would return. Thank you Trip Central for finding us such an amazing package!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Good resort

We enjoyed CHIC very much. Everything was top knotch. Our room was very nice but we found it slightly small. It would have been nice to have two sinks in the bathroom. We were in building 5, second floor. Our maid service was excellent, clean towels twice daily and turn down service. The Japanese restaurant and the morraccan restaurants were not very good. The steak house and Italian restaurants were great. Riu Republica: not a resort I would reccomend

We did not make it to the RIU Republica the reviews were terrifying we made alternate arrangements and stayed at the EXCELLANCE in the Dominican and loved it. No I would not recommend the RIURE REPUBLICA to my friends.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Paradise!!

Chic by Royalton will not disappoint. If you're looking for a place to relax by the beach or listen to some music and have fun by the pool, this is the perfect hotel. It is an adult only resort and they make sure you feel the adult only vibe. Each night they have an event somewhere around the resort which is fun. The resort is small and cozy, walking distance from everything. The restaurants are amazing, we were amazed how good the food was. Since it's a Canadian owner , I feel you can feel the Canadian vibe throught the resort. The food is tasty and not fatty.(that's my personal opinion) I mean where else can you find grilled lobster in a buffet at lunch time. The beach : beautiful clear water , it is a bit rocky but if you walk abit more to the left there's a spot where it's calmer. My boyfriend and I are beach bums so anywhere with our toes in the sand near the beach we are content. Service; we took an upgrade once we got there which gave us access to the diamond club amenities but without a butler since we didn't feel we needed one.. Oh and I forgot to mention.. No need for reservations to eat at the restaurant and its unlimited so we ate everynight in a restaurant (we aren't big buffet fans) The service was outstanding from our à la Carte breakfast to our lunch on the beach , to our dinner at night. Our room: we had a regular room, it was very nice and modern. The only thing was when using the shower the water would leak on the floor of the washroom but there was a way to put the shower head so it wouldn't go all over. Our sink was a bit blocked but they fixed it right away. So no issues with that. Pool: We aren't much pool people, the main pool was very big and always have activities going on, they had a foam party which was fun. With our upgrade we had access to the mermaid pool which we really enjoyed. It is more quiet and less people and you have service there too. Gym: their gym was very nice , a lot of new equipment , they even had a section outside. We did yoga every morning overlooking the beach with some instructors that got invited there for the week from Toronto. That was amazing!!! It started our morning just right! Overall, we had an amazing week and I'm happy we got to experience an adult only resort, we really enjoyed it. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants to rest and party a little, I do think this is perfect for people 20-40 years of age. But then again we met some older couples who enjoyed it as much as we did just doing different activities.

Paradisus Punta Cana: “First time in Dominican Republic... Good vacation but not †perfect‡!”

Our first time in Dominican Republic just ended! Me and my girlfriend have spent one week in Paradisus Punta Cana. In brief: The hotel is amazingly beautiful, there is a big management problem: "The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing", for some reason we found that the male staff are much friendlier than the femake staff, the fruits and vegetables are delicious, the beverages are tasty, the pools and beaches are beautiful, the casino is small, the outside of the resort is depres [... read more]sing: poor people and taxi drivers who charge you a lot for short distance driving. The first two days were annoying: The hotel was probably over booked so the front desk management put us in a luxury Reserve room for only one day. Seemed suspicious but we took it... The room was not clean!!! So annoying... after waiting the whole long day of flying and waiting in the July heat. The next day they moved us around to our original room but there was a huge problem with the front door. Apparently it was painted badly and couldn't be closed properly. At that point we were so mad and we demanded to speak to the manager. We got champagne to cool us down and only after two hours got a different room. There are many activities that you think that are included but you have to pay much more extra. We heard complaints that a couple booked a babysitter but the hotel screwed it up and charged them more. Finally, after losing two days, we started our vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: What we expected

We were a family of 4, and we really enjoyed evreything, just one thing the bahia is huge and good thing they have the minibus to take you from site to site, food service and cleanliness is very good, i recommand this hotel

Riu Republica: Really good resort!

We enjoyed staying in this resort. The staff was wonderful, and tried to please everyone. You are a guess at the hotel and you need to treat everyone with respect. I have seen a few guess I would not invite in my house, rude. In my opinion, the drinks were too jenerous, too much alcohol. Even if we asked, be easy on the amount, they still gave you too much. They still need to make grounds little better, but it is still in progress. We loved the food!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Last Minute Vacation

A well kept area of a 5 resort complex. The Ambar functions well an adult section but having to make reservations, beach towel cart, little entertainment made it feel more like a 4* rather than a 5* but overall was pleased with our choice for a last minute booking!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Incredible Resort

My husband and I had such an Amazing Incredible time. Celebrating our 20th anniversary.The beach was the best we have ever been to. The grounds were beautiful. Service was great. The food Incredible!! We would definately go there again.

Punta Cana Princess: Very pleased

We quite enjoyed our time at the Punta Cana Princess and were very pleased with relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort. High marks to the staff that quickly learned your name and preferences to help us enjoy our stay. Any interaction with support services was always followed up by a phone call to ensure all was in order.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: First time and I would recommend!

I really liked the resort! It was quite large, food was yummy. The rooms were really nice, we had an issue with our room in the beginning due to a leak but it was taken care of right away. I found the pools and grounds were very well taken care of and there was a lot of nightly entertainment. I loved that we were able to go to the Royalton and enjoy their facilities as well :)

Blau Natura Park Resort: Good first time resort experience

The grounds were well kept, and it was cool to be in the natural environment. Food was average, bar tenders didn't speak much English which made it challenging, but overall clean hotel. Noise carried easily in the room configuration so there wasn't one night I wasn't woken up (coming from someone who doesn't wake up easily). Vendors were set up at the hotel one day which was a bit of a nuisance because they are very aggressive sales people. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Best Resort for the Money!

Everything about this hotel is incredible!! Impeccable grounds, beach, rooms and service. Super friendly waiters. If I could, I would give if a 5 1/2 stars!!! I'm going back next year. Only warning, if you like being close to the beach, make sure your room is too as it's a very long walk or take tram.

Everything went very smooth, from booking with trip central till the time we arrived home. An excellent resort, we will go back for sure. A very relaxing vacation. There is really nothing to improve upon.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Best Resort

Everything was amazing! The service, the food, the cleanliness, the pool, the beach, it was just wonderful The weather was absolutely amazing! We were there at the beginning of June so the resort was not super busy.... So if you can go during that time I would highly recommend! We will definitely return next year

Blau Natura Park Resort: Awesome!

Went there expecting a three and half star but felt it was much better. Food was great. Staff were great. The grounds were beautiful and the beach, oh the beach, perfect. Palm trees galore, no bugs and lots of activities.
