Riu Republica: We loved it!!

The resort was beautiful, quite large, yet very easy to move around and it was packed but you wouldn’t know it because of its size. The grounds were maintained beautifully, very lush and green and super clean. The food was fantastic! There was Always something to find and eat and our party of 3 did not get sick! Enjoyed the beach and pools keep in mind it’s the Atlantic so lots of waves! Staff were nice. There was always something to do! We would definitely return!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great resort for value

The service and the food is very good. The restaurants were a must to go. The beach is nice and long. Hotel would need some maintenance but the important (service, food, cleanliness) is excellent. I recommend this resort.

VH Atmosphere: Great Time - Exactly What We Were Looking For In A Resort

We chose this resort for a few reasons. 1) we wanted a quiet resort with no disco and crazy parties happening..... haha I'm too old for that stuff. 2) I needed good wifi for work and the world juniors while I was there and finally 3) I wanted a gold course on site. I was thoroughly impressed with the VH Atmosphere. It delivered on all the pieces I was looking for and more. The food and service was great. The rooms were a little small but workable. But....all 3 of my critical points deli [... read more]vered perfectly. The atomosphere was very friendly but chilled out. The entertainment was good if you wanted to partake. The grounds are cleaned meticulously each day. The wifi is the best I've had in an all inclusive. The food was a great spread every day. Few minor things for improvement would be - 1) fix the pool table in the bar upstairs. It needs some love - all the bumpers are very old and for a couple of hundred bucks you could fix this up. 2) if you happen to miss the dining hours...so other options need to be provided. Whether that's a basic room service or something..... For example - After golf I missed the lunch buffet a few times and had to either walk to the beach to eat or wait til dinner. Same thing happened when we landed. But..those are truly minor things and not a big deal. Overal I was impressed and happy with my purchase and have thought about returning already!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Fun Times!

The Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa was great. The beach, pool areas, washrooms, bars, restaurants were kept very clean. Staff were very friendly. Pizza spot and chip truck were great, although wait times were sometimes long. Nice to be able to enjoy this on the beach or by the pool without having to get dressed to go inside. Buffet was ok, nothing spectacular. Breakfast service with coffee was slow and sometimes they didn't even offer coffee. Steak house was terrible! We waited for three [... read more] hours and then the food was not cooked how we ordered it, everyone's steak was rare. Staff at the bars were great, especially those at the bar outside of the Italian restaurant. Lazy river was alot of fun. The activities we participated in were fun but it would have been nice to have the full schedules posted somewhere other than in the main lobby. Rooms were kept clean with daily service although sometimes it was pretty late in the day when they arrived which was inconvenient. Overall, this was a great holiday and the hotel met our expectations.

Be Live Experience Hamaca Garden: Not what i expected

This resort was truly disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor. Some rooms had major issues however when guest complained nothing got done. the constant approaches by men in motorcycles was annoying and sometimes confrontational. On a better note the grounds, pool, and beach was well kept.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Decent Stay

Not a bad place depending on what your looking for. Beach was nice a bit rocky however. We chose the vip master junior ocean view suite adult only our ocean view was ground level and partial. Room was decent a bit dated parts nothing some fresh paint couldn’t fix. Food was very repetitive and not the best. I would say 75% don’t speak English and their was a lack of communication throughout our stay so you kind of have to figure things out on your own. this hotel have good food , nice pools , nice beach and the people are work in hotel are nice this hotel have a nice view , is clean the people ho work at the hotel are happy and friendly to everyone all the time I like

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort!

Royalton Bavaro was a wonderful family getaway over the Christmas holidays. Nicolle booked us a seamless adventure and we will book through her again! The resort was on the ocean, allowed for lots of beach walking and play and resort had some wonderfully amazing employees who went the extra mile to be of assistance to us each and every day. Great accommodations and good variety of food and restaurants! Overall a 10 in my books! Thanks again Nicolle at tripcentral!

Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Terrible Resort

This is the worst hotel we’ve ever had the misfortune to attend. We are pretty easygoing traveller and expect to run into some concerns when travelling to another country but this was an unimaginable horror story. Staff is rude and ignorant, they will only go out of their way for anyone speaking Spanish. The food is barely passable. The alcohol is sub-par and watered down. They have 3 public pools that are never cleaned. Three days before we left the sides of the pool were green and slimy. Eve [... read more]n when someone told them the pool was disgusting they didn’t clean it. Someone put a hose and a vacuum in the pool, walked away and two hours later came back and removed everything and left. I suppose that was their idea of cleaning the pool. Paid for a Steak and lobster dinner only to be told they had run out of lobster. Paid for an Essentia package with a swim out only to arrive and be told they had given our room to someone else and no others were available. No offers to return our money. Nothing you can do about it because no one there speaks a word of English. There is No main lobby. There’s a covered area with one couch that 300 people all try to congregate around to use the WIFI because that’s the only area it works. There’s a road that runs between the main lobby and the essentia rooms that require a crossing guard because there are trucks, cars, vans and motorcycles constantly running through. The smell of gas and exhaust is nauseating. Do not waste your money. I’m sickened by the amount of money we spent to go to this resort to be let down so miserably. If there are any good reviews of an Emotions resort I would presume it’s not the Emotions located in juan dolio. There are two resorts and unfortunately we got stuck at this crappy place. There are also ants, cock roaches and other bugs in the rooms. I could write another page of complaints but will leave it at this.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Wonderful Resort

The resort was wonderful, it was clean and staff very friendly, pools wonderful lots of lounge chairs, poolside massages amazing by Ruth I had 3 of them, food at the a la cartel restaurants fabulous. The only thing not impressed with was the housekeeping gave her over 5 hours to clean room and it still was not ready, did not do anything fancy on the bed with the towels like other resorts. Sunscape Puerto Plata: It ok

That resort was nice but they aloud the locals in the resort they aloud them in on weekends and holidays. Anyone can come in eat drink take food with them a leave their is no brackets or anything to let you how if you are staying there or not.the adult area always had kids I It when we up great it was so we would not be around kids so much for that. Food was ok at the restaurants it is first come first served

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolutely amazing!

This was such an amazing experience. The little touches made all the difference. Super clean and the staff are top notch! Would highly recommend and will be back! The meal choices are plentiful. Our favourite was Mikado! Shoutout to some of our favourite staff: Francisco Florida and Nicaury! They are the best!

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Good stay!

Sunscape itself was gorgeous! The pool(s) are amazing and always kept very clean! The bars were always stocked and drinks were delicious! Food was sub par though along - I didn't have a single meal there that I would say was great! The mais service was also very unreliable!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great Christmas idea for the family

This was our first time staying at a Grand Bahia Principe Resort and first time in La Romana. This hotel chain is well staffed with friendly people and beautiful accommodations for the price point. The grounds were immaculately appointed and maintained. Well worth it for families with great amenities, shops, pools and restaurants. Punta Cana Princess: Beautifully Landscaped & Highly Professional Staff

The Punta Cana Princess has beautifully landscaped grounds with statues befitting the surroundings. The staff were highly professional - from the bartenders to the maids and most of all their customer service representative Hilda. All staff seemed to be generally enthusiastic about their jobs, very evident in their demeanor. Each morning I would have a special smoothie made with kiwi, pineapple and banana - the lady was most accommodating and remembered my order and always greeted me with her  [... read more]lovely smile, clearly letting me know she was set to "whip up" my morning ritual drink. Her service was exemplary and we were happy to tip her, the omelette chef and the servers especially Francesca. As this trip included Cheryl's birthdate, the staff were fantastic. They set up a wonderful surprise dinner at the fondue restaurant, in addition to decorating our room, which incidentally was the most spectacular room we have stayed in after years of travelling. Our room afforded us a welcome fruit basket, stocked mini fridge, a complementary bottle of DR rum and a sample box of cigars. In addition, the room had both a hot tub and the very best possible view of the beach and the pool. FYI it was room 4223. Another highlight was the well stocked gym which thanks to my workouts allowed me to enjoy those cervezas guilt free...on those rainy days. A special treat was in the Princess Caribe next door which had a coffee shop called "La Creperie" be sure to check it out as it is included in your stay. Finally the beach was beautiful for walking and especially great for body surfing those waves. Enjoy your stay at The adults only Punta Cana Princess. Larry & Cheryl.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Amazing resort

U forgatabke trip. We enjoyed our stay from day one! Very professional staff that worked very hard to insure all guests were treated great. Very delicious food, always new and fresh verities of fruits and vegetables. Clean rooms with attention to details .New Year’s Eve party was spectacular. We are going back to the resort next year for sure. One thing we didn’t like was the pressure to participate in a meeting relating to timeshare type of a club. VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great holiday resort

This was a great venue for our family. The staff were amazing, facilities where very clean and the food was amazing. Always something to do or you could kick back and just relax. I appreciated the fact that they had two pool areas: one quite lively and the other more relaxing where we could do some laps. Beach front was wonderful and kept nice and clean. Yes I would certainly return.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Very nice resort

The beach and outdoors was spectacular! The inside however could use upgrading, like new beds, new sliding doors and new bathroom upgrades. It was livable since your not In your room much just the shower and sleep mainly. The cleaning wasn't the best. There was a spot of blood that we noticed behind the toilet the first day and hair in the shower which neither were even touched the whole week we were there. Have a ramp in place. The food was amazing and no complaints there....lots for the kids to do such as archery, pool tables and ping pong which we did all. The shows were pretty good but the host was quite annoying g telling the audience to applaud over and over. If the show is good , there will be no need to ask an audience to applaud. Very repetitive to say the least but the shows were in fact pretty good , especially the Micheal Jackson show. I would go again but give it 4 stars until the upgrades are done, then it could be a 5 star.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Resort

This resort was perfect for a family! In general all the staff was friendly and helpful! The food was amazing and they went above and beyond at New Years! My only complaint would be the animation team at the end of the week was horrible.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Resort from HELL

Resort was overbooked, renovations were being done. No safety locks on doors, safe didn't work, other guest were complaining of back up toilets causing floods in room. The roons were filthy, beach towels were dirty, pool was dirty, food was gross, staff was unfriendly. The resort had a tiny lobby with no lounging, one bartender at each bar. Service was extremely slow. This resort should be rated a 1 star and should be condemned. The resort manager was incompetent and didn't make any efforts to r [... read more]esolve the issues.
