Riu Yucatan: Our Riu Vacation

The Riu Yucatan was nice. The staff very friendly. They were always smiling and readily available to help you. The food was very good and it was nice to have a small market close to the hotel. A seven minute walk. Perfect. I would go back anytime.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Perfect family resort

This hotel is amazing if you are looking for a simple low key property with lots of animals and endless fun for the family! Lots of restaurants to chose from, a water park plus pool and a beautiful beach.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Peaceful and Relaxing Resort

This hotel is very modern and beautiful...had a swim out suite and it was well worth it the extra money. The restaurants are very good. I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant Bruchetta the best. Server Miguel was very sweet and had a nice smile and service was superb. Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Excellence at its best

We stayed at Secrets Maroma preferred club swim out to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were taken to check in and were greeted with a glass of champagne and a cold cloth very much appreciated after our flight. Our room was amazing king size bed that was very comfortable. We also received a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The grounds were beautiful. The white sand blue/green ocean was just what we needed. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful property

The grounds on this property are very will kept, work being done every day. The wild life was interesting to see, the cotes, iguanas and racoons.The property is large, from our building we had close access to the restaurants but a five minute walk to the beach. The sea was rough some days but we managed to get in and enjoy the waves. Several restaurants to choose, no reservations required.

Viva Azteca by Wyndham: Great Resort

This resort was very very comfortable to be at. The staff was great and made you feel at home there.Everything was just super.The buffet was amazing, everything you would want was there, fresh squeezed juices, plenty of desserts and lots of fruits. excellent...

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Excellent resort

This was our first time stay at the Palladium resort in Riviera Maya. In general we loved the place. The first couple days we discovered the sea water pool near the Palladium Riviera and a small patch of perfect beach in front the big hotel that is under construction next to the Palladium. We also loved the food at the different restaurants in the hotel. The varieties of food/restaurants were a delight. The shows at night were amazing and performed by very talented professionals.

Overall, the resort was very enjoyable. Good quality entertainment and lots of activities. The food was spectacular and service was fabulous. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Our room was very large and comfortable

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Why go elsewhere?

This was our 9th visit to this resort. The courteous staff, amazing food, finely appointed rooms, immaculate grounds keep us coming back. The service at this resort is unmatched. Going our 10th time in April.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing staff and a really fun place!

The property is huge and there is a ton of stuff to do! All the staff are wonderful and extremely polite. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are very well maintained. Nothing but great things to say about this place

Riu Tequila: Great Food, Beach way to crowded, Hotel nice, Mexican Raccons everywhere at the resort, go somewhere else !!

This resort was wonderful , we loved the décor, the dinning rooms , the steak house was awesome, I would have liked a seafood house instead of steak but they did have a skewer of shrimp and snapper which was delightful. Staff was wonderful .Buffet was excellent, our hotel room was at the very back but that was good because after drinking and eating it was a nice walk back to room. We were originally going to the Bahamas to snorkel ,but because of hurricane Matthew we had to pick another destination , so this was not our first choice, but everyone there just wants to make money of you, going Akumal , going to the ferry Cozumel ......etc. Excursions way to much money and they are in US dollars but the hotel doesn't even accept US currency...The beach shuttle works fine just be prepared that there are 1000's of people on the beach very nice sand and you can walk for miles only 2 days were Yellow flagged the rest Red Flagged......We will not be back , but we did enjoy are stay of 7 days of rain and monsoons. and raccoons everywhere..............

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Breathtaking resort!

The resort at paradisus in mexico at playa del carmen was absolutely the most breath taking resort we have ever been too. From the moment of arrival we were greeted with kind genuine workers. We walked into our room and our jaws hit the floor. Honestly the most beautiful most stunning room we have ever been too. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: 10th visit to the Grand Palladium, Riviera Maya

Just returned from the Palladium and it was our 10th visit. We were spoiled rotten, as usual. We have stayed in all of the sections of this hotel, even the Yucatan Suites. This time we stayed on the White Sand side in a renovated suite with an ocean view. The Palladium is renovating many parts of the hotel, including the rooms, the restaurants and lobbies. It is a large resort with plenty of golf carts and even a train to transport you from place to place. The grounds are extremely well kept and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. The rooms are very clean. The beach is cleaned every morning. The buffet has all types of foods for all tastes and they have now implemented an allergy / dietary needs system. I have a serious allergy to several fruits and we even had the chef at one of the restaurants come and help me choose from the menu. I would recommend this resort for couples, families and even singles. It's also doable for the elderly and the handicapped..just make sure you are booked on a bottom floor. We will be returning soon.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Always nice there, third visit.

I was really impressed this time with the transportation between the 4 hotels, they changed it from the last time we were there. We never had a problem of getting anywhere on time, they were eager to get you places even if the train was not there yet. Pool, beach, service, food and restaurants were great, no waiting. This was our third trip to this same hotel, just as good as always. Maria and the dive shop and the photographer were amazing, she even came in on her day off to finish the course with my husband. Would highly recommend them if you go.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Pretty good

The Hotel was huge. Loved the coffee and cupcake shops, and the burrito restaurant. The 3 sit down restaurants wernt great but wernt bad either. No real entertainment during the day which was disappointing.

Grand Riviera Princess: I enjoyed this resort

I went with the Platinum package and some of the perks were pretty good when I got a chance to use them. Although the Platinum Package was advertised as more of a VIP experience it really isn't. You just get a few extra perks that the other hotel guests don't have. Pros - private check-in with a private pool / bar for Platinum - private area on the beach for Platinum - discount at the spa for Platinum guests but you have to book within 24 hours of arrival - giant resort with lots of opt [... read more]ions for lounging by pools, greenery, etc. - buffet food was pretty good. Lot's of fruit options, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh veggies, and salads, with a variety of hot food options - service at every restaurant I went to was wonderful. Friendly staff and very attentive - very clean resort that is well maintained. I really enjoyed walking and exploring the resort during the day and in the evenings - massages on the beach were very relaxing - great beach with lot's of areas to sit Cons - Platinum hotel area doesn't really have a lot of places to relax. The cabanas and lounges by the private pool at the hotel area fill up early. I was often left searching for a place to sit. It rained a lot when I was there so I ended up spending most of my time in the main hotel area because there was more seating options there. As a result the Platinum's private bar / butler services were not available to me at these times. - the gentleman at the Platinum check-in reception was actually rather rude and talked down to me when I asked questions or needed clarification during check-in. When I was done checking in, he just pointed to the elevator and started working on his computer. I ended up carrying my own bags to my room. That said, out of all the staff I encountered during my stay he was the only one that was not great. All other staff was friendly, attentive, helped whenever asked, and smiled a lot - advertises a personal butler to serve drinks on the beach and at the Platinum private pool but this service was very slow especially on the beach (often close to an hour between order and getting my drink when on the beach). I ended up just going to the bar to get drinks myself. Waste of a perk for paying for Platinum - room was often not cleaned until very late in the afternoon so never felt I could go back and just relax - the attendants that offer the beach massages at times were very pushy in trying to get people to book a massage. On my last day one attendant approached me no less than half a dozen times to get me to book a massage. He woke me up 2 times and I had to tell him no at least 3 times during each conversation. I actually did want a massage because the previous beach massages were lovely but he was just so pushy he ruined it for me

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Fantastic Getaway!!!

Just got back from this amazing resort!! It was our second time there and we were still impressed !! Fantastic food and service!!! The resort is a perfect place to go to escape the busy world !!! The rooms and resort are very very clean !!! Our concierge Edgar was amazing and very good at his job!! Down on the beach we had Igor to greet us and help us every morning and all day long !!! Ocean Maya Royale: Great suggestion!!

This upscale adult only resort met all our expectations. We were going to book a different resort but the tripcentral agent recommended this one and we had an amazing time. Grounds are pristine and well manicured. Our room was lovely but a little noisy at night as it was close to the lobby but conveniently close to everything. The service was spectacular and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the buffet was very good but the a la carte restaurants were excellent and no reservations [... read more] required. The only complaint was beware of the sales pitches for buying into prestige. It's basically a time share!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: amazing resort

I just got back from an amazing vacation with my 16 year old daughter. I have been to Mexico before ( different resort) , cuba and dominican but this was the best resort I have stayed at. The food was delicious ( to good actually, I think I gained 10 lbs in 5 days) the staff were so welcoming and the place was very well maintained. We staying at the Coba resort but the beach was a pleasant 10 min shuttle over Tulum resort where they had a great beach access. This would be a great resort for families with small children as most of the pools has a shallow area and a gradual walk in to the deeper end as well as a cool water park that was just beside the bigger pool area. I would go back to this resort for sure and would have already recommended it to some friends that are looking at booking a holiday .

Grand Riviera Princess: Amazing Resort

It's a large resort.The grounds are beautiful. There are cats and coatis on site. My husband loved greeting and feeding the cats on our way to the main buffet. We actually took dry cat food with us. The coatis are unique little animals. They travel together and are often seen coming in and out of the garbage containers and making their way across the walk ways, You will also see them at the area around the Snack bar on the beach. Everyday day the buffet has numerous fresh vegetables and fruit, grilled vegetables of every sort, the typical grilled fish and other meats, fries, melted cheese and sweets. There was also a great selection of cured meats, olives and cheeses. Also beautiful breads. Rooms were spacious and clean. If you have mobility issues, there are carts like carts that run along the parameter of the resort. The beach was beautiful. There was a yellow flag most days, but it didn't stop us from cooling off. There was also a beach bar. I know we will return. It was a beautiful resort and a great value.
