Resonance Blu Varadero: Great week

Overall good resort, large but walking for us not a problem. Variety of food good, except fruit, most food items were not labeled, did not like birds flying around the buffet. Rooms adequate, lots of hot water for showers. Beach lovely.

Gran Caribe Sun Beach: Great People

I was there from March 22th to 25th.This was my first time to travel by myself. It was safe and very welcoming.The lobby was great for all drinks.I meet so many people from Cuba.My new family. The beach was beautiful.

Starfish Varadero: Typical Cuban

Wife and I have been going to Cuba since 1990. A lot has change since then but this hotel reminded us of our earlier visits. We stayed in one of the bungalows for a week. Closer to the beach and buffet restaurant than the main hotel rooms so a plus there. Reminders of old: no hot water (pool and ocean were warmer), no toilet seat and a broken beside light bulb was never changed. Food typically Cuban and no disappointment there. We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary and had a lovely meal in the sea food a la cart complete with champagne and candle light. We did a full day tour in Havana plus Tropicana at night. About $200CAD and value for the money. The hotel is rated 31/2 star and that is probably a fair assessment. Would we recommend this hotel to a friend. Sure as long as they not the picky picky type.

Starfish Jibacoa: Bad

The people that worked there were not very nice or helpful, food was terrible, rooms had no clocks and they limited your toilet paper to one roll per day all the public washrooms did not have any toilet paper , paper towel or soap

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: We had a wonderful vacation at Princessa Del Mar!

Overall, it was a very nice experience. We normally choose smaller resorts and although this one was quite large; it did not feel that way and it was not crowded at the pool or throughout the grounds. The restaurants were good, the landscaping was very well cared for and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this resort to a couple interested in an all adult facility.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great time at Royalton Hicacos

The resort is a perfect size. The staff are great, always happy, smiling, and attentive. Tips now and then go a long way! The rooms and some areas of the resort need some updating. The beach was great, clean. The pools are well maintained but shallow. Always available chairs at the pool. Some people rate the food as bland in the buffet, but we found it actually too salty at times. The buffet during our stay satisfied us. Overall a great time. Would go back again.

Starfish Varadero: much better resort than we had expected

3 alacart restaurants ,beautiful beach, very friendly staff. Entertainment each night. Coffee bar with many choices. Check in could have been faster. An up grade might have been better to the bungalows .The terrace bar every night had entertainment just before the main show.

Hotel Villa Cuba: Great Weather

Hotel was below average. Had ants in our room. This place is not handicap friendly. Had to use stairs alot. Elevators didn't operate very well. Beach was awesome. Pool was pretty good. Daytime pool entertainment was boring. Buffet was pretty bad. Staff was great. Rooms very clean, but need to be updated. Weather was awesome. Good choice of off-resort tours available at extra cost. Overall, it was still fun. Been here 2 times now, but going elsewhere next.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Very nice for the money we spent!

The best part of this resort is the amazing Beach and the friendly workers. The buildings and rooms are getting run down but ours was clean and our maid did a great job. It was a very easy resort to get around if you don't like to walk to far. The beach bar had a BBQ everyday and was so good. We aren't pool goers but the snack bar was good there at the pool. We went to kikis restrarant in Varadero, we were told it was good and it was. This resort is not very far from the town of Varadero. All in all our vacation was another hit.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Great Bang for the Buck

Beach is beautiful, food is good... better than we thought going in. The staff are very nice. The resort is huge (a kilometer or more from front to back) so get ready to walk as the golf cart shuttles they have do not come around often enough. Only small thing is they would run out of ice and alcohol from time to time.

Hotel Los Cactus: Amazing Resort

First time to Cuba and this resort. The resort and staff are top notch. Food could be better but it is Cuba. Great beach and no peddlers to have to chase away. Great experience overall. Would definitely go there again.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Awesome resort !!

We had an amazing time the buffet was really good. The hotel was clean.. The dining customer service was fabulous .as were the recreation staff and housekeeping...cant say that for all services..some employees were not so friendly. Pool was beautiful as was the beach.. We had an amazing snorkelling trip to The bay of pigs. Transportation to anywhere was readily available... Loved our vacation over all!!!

Sol Varadero Beach: not impressed

late arrival..flight delayed 2.5 hrs..no staff.. waiting for us..45 mins waiting to find out we got dropped of at wrong resort. .another 2 hrs to got what I'm sure was the last room in the resort...noisey air conditioning. .had to have it fixed. .too exhausted next day to change rooms. hotel very tired..from ceiling tiles missing all together and railings broken on stairways...very dangerous. ..overall worst experience yet in cuba...cubana airlines was another 3hrs delayed on way home... in tota [... read more]l lost over 12hrs in delays.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: It was an ok resort

The food was good, the grounds were beautiful but we had a problem with ants in our room. The beach was not the greatest. Looks of rocks. The service was great. Staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was good

Club Kawama: Very poor experience

The Ocean and beach were beautiful. Got ripped off when we ordered a safe. It cost $25. We gave $50 and received 7 peso back. The rest was exchange cost. No toilet seat and lots of mold in the rool...ceiling and walls. No light bulbs and no way to adjust air con. Buffet very poor. Service from nice to absolutely rude if not tipped more than $1.... Not recommending this resort.

Roc Barlovento: Mediocre

Still updating the resort. Not enough snack foods and nothing open past 9:30 for food at night. Said bottle of water daily but did not happen. I feel the safe should be included in Roc Plus. Said plus seating at buffet...nope. Staff were extremely rude especially front desk and bartenders!!! Food was ok but never hot. Not near enough chairs at pool or beach. people entered your room thru out the day without permission!! People came to dinner in bathing suits. Gran Caribe Sun Beach: Cool Hotel

I read so many reviews about this hotel and a lot of bad ones. I am glad i did not take them into consideration. We went for the week of April 4th 2016 and the hotel was very decent,the room was clean, the bedsheets were clean and we had an ocean view room! The service was great. The food in the buffet was actually pretty good! Better than the Iberostar in Varadero. My only advice is bring your own facecloth and a beach towel cause sometimes they run out. Hotel Bella Costa: Fantastic Resort

I recently stayed here with my husband, 2 kids and my parents. We had an amazing time. Food was great, entertainment was awesome and overall it is a fabulous resort. Cant wait for our next trip to Bella Costa!

Hotel Bella Costa: wonderful place

it was clean,the service was topnotch and every one was so friendly and helpful. The entertainment was good and you can always find something to eat even if you are a picky eater. i would highly recommend going there i will be going back.

Sol Varadero Beach: OK for amount paid

Hotel was clean but very old and in need or repairs. Food was also ok. Pool was warm and just perfect. I was there for the beach which was just awesome!!! Lots of chairs. Friendly staff. My only concern was the fact that the balcony doors do not lock. They said they have had no incidents and I also had no problem but they could even have a piece of wood to block the sliding door.
