Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful Resourt

This resort was ideal for what we were looking for. Spacious, comfortable and the food was wonderful! lots of options. The only complaint was the bathroom, the ceiling above the tub leaked. we had read this in other reviews so we were not surprised. However; I heard the resort was being remodeled this summer. We would definitely return.

Occidental Punta Cana: Very fun trip!

This was my third time to Dominican Republic and my first time at this resort. I went with my two girl friends. Nice size resort not too big can walk anywhere within 5 minutes. The beach was absolutely gorgeous! The pools were very nice as well and clean. The food was very good especially at the a la cartes, I recommend the Mexican, Italian and Steakhouse. The only complaints would be that there was always a line at the beach bar and sometimes they were out of even beer and had tiny glasses that were the size of shot glasses. They would get bigger glasses later but it did happen often. Great trip though would come again!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Punta Cana - April 2016

The trip to Punta Cana was my daughters choice which I was very excited to experience this trip with her. We had a number of issues with our room when we arrived. Door wouldn't open after multiple attempts over the course of two days but the staff was great. Finally relocated to another room and no further access issues. The room wasn't as clean as previous hotels, but we didn't spend that much time in our room anyway. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: ok resort

Grounds were nice, resort is huge. We stayed in the Ambar section close to beach, service is slow. No lobster in any of the specialty restaurants even though they advertise ``Norwegian Lobster`` - their excuse being is that Caribbean lobster is banned this time of year, but what does that have to do with Norway.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great Resort!

This was the first time my boyfriend and I went to Dominican and decided to go to the most recommended area, Punta Cana. When we got there, we checked in a very small lobby, in which I questioned my choice to go with this resort. But this was just a little lobby that only served SunWing customers and the rest of the resort was great! We got put in one of their newly renovated buildings that didn’t even exist on the map yet! If you get put in building 11 - 16, it’s a bit of a trek to the beac [... read more]h (about 5 minutes) but there are pools around the resort so you are never too far from water. There are daily activities/“competitions” where you can win playing games against other people and you get awarded some special prizes right before the nightly entertainment. Overall, the staff were very friendly and always trying to engage with everyone. The a-la-cartes were diverse and had some pretty good choices. My favourite was Rodizio (Brazilian), they serve a variety of different meats and the atmosphere of the restaurant was ice too. The food was fairly good at the buffet, there is a lot of variety for both kids and adults. It isn’t gourmet by any means, but the choices are stellar. However, the only downside are the vendors that are there every night. It’s nice that you can get souvenirs right on the resort for a cheaper price because they are there during the evenings, but some nights there are multiple ones that try to get your attention. They are pretty aggressive with their sales tactics and will try to get you to buy their merchandise; just make sure when you say “no”, say it firmly. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back.

Ancora Private Residence Yacht Club and Marina: Beautiful resort, front desk experience could imp

Rooms are spectacular, pools are great and food was above average. Resort staff were true professinals and did a great job ato keeping the property clean, ensuring a great time at bars and restaraunts. This was our 6th trip to Punta Cana and found the overall experience was not quite that of Now LariMar or Melia caribe but the missing connection for me was the preferred club or front desk experience being less than that of the above mentioned properties. We were 8 hour delayed arriving so checked in the day after originally scheduled but wouldn't let us stay in room an extra hour or two so our baby could nap. I could understand if resort was full and hey needed he room but resort was only half full at most. Lost a day of paid Internet without resolution.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort

We were there for our friends wedding! Resort was absolutely beautiful! The staff were amazing especially the General Manager Maria! Food was amazing with a large selection! Pools and grounds were top notch! Everything you'd want in a resort! Would highly recommend and we will return!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Awesome resort!

Room was clean comfortable,quiet surroundings,spacious. Food was excellent in both buffets and restaurants. Enjoyed the Japanese restaurant so much with its great entertainment and good food that we went back a second time. Great service throughout the resort, very clean.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort

The hotel was beautiful, the staff was awesome. The beach was beautiful and had lots of seating and I like they're no savings seats policy which is how it should be everywhere. I went scuba diving just off the beach where they have a pretty cool shipwreck about 300 metres offshore. A few things I didn't like was they had one bar in the lobby open after 10ish which could get crowded and make it impossible to get a drink and also that the beer in the fridge wasn't stocked daily. Good music, good nightclub atmosphere. The rooms were clean, food was good, and drink selection was excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Perfect resort!

Resort is huge! Food was great, staff was friendly, I would go back in a heart beat! We stayed until he golden sweet which included 24/7 room service and private check in/out. If I were to stay again I would definitely stay in the Royal golden section, the extra cost is worth it!

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Awesome honeymoon

First time in Punta Cana. Would definitely return to this resort. Beach was breath taking. Grounds were well maintained. All dining areas (buffet and al la cartes) were well layed out with lots of food choices. Quick response from guest services. Sunwing agents at resort were amazing for all requests.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful, clean resort!

This has been one of the best hotels I have been to so far. The room was bigger and better than i expected. Very spa like bathroom. The only con i would say was the fact that they misplaced our luggage upon arriving to the resort and the rooms weren't ready for some of us. They did find our luggage shortly after. All in all it was kept very clean and was a great stay overall :) I would def recommend it.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: 10th Time at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Resort!

Just returned last week...my wife and I have been going to this resort for the past 9 years, it has the best beach with calm clear shallow water. The resort is large new and very clean offering lots of restaurants, a casino, disco, great games area, shopping, waterpark for kids, large swimming pools and so much more. If you are looking for a relaxing and fun trip don't hesitate to book your vacation at this resort. It's great for singles, couples and families. Highly recommended!!!

Occidental Punta Cana: Awesome resort!

This is our 2nd time to visit the Occidental, and our experience was wonderful, and we will return again. We stayed in building 23 on the 2nd floor, and although we heard a few complaints from some in other buildings, ours was wonderful. The room and balcony were beautiful, and the mini fridge was restocked daily, plenty of bottled water, and our housekeeper was amazing, and kept everything very clean. The bathroom could use updating, as the water from the shower would leak onto the floor, no ma [... read more]tter how careful you were, but that would be the only complaint I would have about the room. I found the king size bed, very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the food is amazing, in the buffets and at the a la' cartes. The beach is beautiful white sand, and kept very clean. (the only thing, I might suggest, as we went on the Transat preference club and were supposed to have a section of the beach specifically for this club, would be to have the area marked off better. We could never get a place under one of the huts as it was always reserved by people who shouldn't have been there, different color arm bands. They would reserve with their towels early in the morning, and maybe not even get to the beach until late afternoon. We were told at our orientation, to let security know if this happened, however, we really felt it was honest mistakes by them, as it wasn't well marked, and didn't want to embarrass them. A rope dividing to closer to the beach with a better sign would have prevented this). The night shows were a great improvement, over last years, even having an early live show for the children, very much enjoyed. The staff, everywhere, were very friendly, happy and pleasant. Truly a pleasure to interact with them. I couldn't have enjoyed our stay, any more then we all did.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: High Energy

The resort was great! Everyone was very helpful and it was high energy. The resort was a bit older but the workers made up for it. There was always activities happening and they got every to participate and have a good time.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Loved it!!!

Absolutely loved this resort and can't wait to go back! We had a basic room (emerald club luxury junior suite) and it had everything we needed and close to the beach. From the food to the beach, everything was perfect!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Amazing experience from start to finish!

Wonderful hotel with well kept grounds, nice rooms and plenty of amenities. Food was great and there were so many choices! Overall, fantastic family vacation. This is a great place for kids as well! I would definitely recommend this resort to others.

Melia Tropical: Too Big for my taste

We travelled with four other couples, we requested to be close together, we were not. We all requested king size beds, two couples had twins in their rooms which made them waste the next day changing rooms. When you are only there for 7 days losing day moving is not cool. Pool and ocean were a good 10 - 15 minute walk from our room. So too big for me. Food wise, no complaints it was amazing!

Punta Cana Princess: Good resort

Good resort, good food, friendly staff, clean and quiet. We visited Punta Cana Princess with a group of friends and we really enjoyed our stay. Several people from our group experienced stomach upset but we were fine, maybe due to the Dukerol we took at home. The resort was clean, the staff friendly and problems dealt with promptly. Everything was in close proximity which was something that we were looking for. It was necessary to be at the beach early 5:45, in order to get a good spot, that was [... read more] a bit of a draw back, but lots of chairs. We flew with Sunwing and we not impressed with them. The price drop guarantee is a bit like a jelly fish,, hard to nail down and Sunwing made no attempt to resolve our issue which leads me to believe they would not stand behind their product. They didn't even acknowledge our concerns!
