Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Exceeded expectations

Modern, tastefully decorated suites, exceptional food and service, great night shows, quality beverages, crystal clear pools. Worth spending more to book main floor swim up suite. Private Bali beds were awesome for afternoon naps. Spa is also worth booking. I can't say enough about the service..staff work very hard with smiles on all day. Riu Republica: Not a 5 Star

Overall, it's an updated and vibrant resort. The staff is friendly (especially when you are), the beach is beautiful and clean, and the resort is so big, you never struggle to find a lounge chair on the beach or at the pool. However...if you are arriving late (after the 9pm of most dinner restaurants) be ready to wait in line and heat up a cold burger from a fridge or grab a hot dog that has been on the heater for quite some time...it was not the best first impression. Our room was not very clean when we first arrived and the resort was at full capacity on the first night, we were able to change rooms the next day and the staff was very friendly. The pools were very nice, the slides were great, and the resort is very lively. We came with our family with a range of ages: 28-60+ and we had a great time. There are a lot of 20 year old tourists so the nightlife is quite lively and certain pools are very...entertaining during the day. The food is very good, out of the a la carte restaurants we had two great experiences out of the five we went to. This does not feel like a 5 star resort but it is a solid 4. Would I return? No, there are so many other beautiful resorts to see but this one is not a bad choice.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Best F*ing Vacay Ever

Not only did this resort have exceptional staff that truly cared for your stay there but they had activities going on every day and every night. Let’s just say you don’t really need to go outside the resort to find some fun because this place is a handful

Excellence El Carmen: Excellente at Excellence el Carmen

Beautiful grounds, lovely staff, amazing food. We have no complaints - everything from check in to towel service to even the beach itself - all of it was carefully thought out and delivered with care.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent rooms

Great hotel. I have been there before and went back to enjoy it again. The beach service is excellent, way better than the other areas of the resort. Our family had been staying next door at the Bahia Esmeralda because their kids were too young to stay at Ambar. So during the day we hung out together. We were not allowed to eat at the Esmeralda buffet for lunch (to our surprise) and were told we had to go to Ambar to eat. I am pretty sure Ambar is the top of the resort so my belief is [... read more] that we should be allowed to eat anywhere, but I was wrong, only at the ala cart restaurants. The other disappointment was going to see the shows at night at the "main" resort (I think its called bavaro). We asked for the upgraded booze and were told that even though we were Ambar we had to pay for it or go back to our bar to get it. The Ambar Manager also confirmed that although did take it off our bill. The reason we get the upgraded packages is for the better booze and it never was like this when I went before. So that's fine - time to try another resort...... too bad.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Wonderful experience

The grounds and the sea was great. The room was very near to the lobby which was good.The room itself had problems..the plumbing and later the roof leaking on the washroom was disgusting. I can recommend people to go provided the alterations are made. Food was good ..shows were okay too.But the ticks in the sand were giving grief to all of us ..it continues still after 3days of returning.. Overall a good experience.

Excellence Punta Cana: Beautiful resort with an amazing staff!

I went to Excellence Punta Cana during December 2018 for 6 days with my boyfriend, both in our mid 20s. It was our first all-inclusive experience, so our expectations were high based on reviews I've read on Trip Advisor. I highly suggest booking through Trip Central as they provide you the full package including support and shuttle service to and from the airport. Upon arrival at the PUJ airport, it took us a bit of time to find our rep since there were a lot of people with names on banners,  [... read more]so make sure you look for your airline rep (i.e. West Jet, Sungwing). They should have your name noted down, and he'll take you to your shuttle bus. We waited for about 10-15 minutes and off we went to stop by a few resorts. EPC was the last stop, so it took about 45 minutes to get to there from the airport. Once we got to EPC hotel, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a debrief on our stay and some hotel policies with a little tour of the resort, and then final stop at our suite. We stayed at the Excellence Club Jr. Suite Swim Up View. Some highlights of the resort: - WiFi across the resort, even in the beach area - Service was amazing; all staff was approachable, friendly, and accommodating - Some good options for food; we enjoyed The Grill and Magna for dinner - Private beach felt exclusive and relaxing - We wanted an hour later check-out, which went smoothly with an Excellence Club perk - Full bottle top shelf liquors was amazing - Room service was fast and easy Some not so great: - Our room AC was terrible, so it made our clothes and sheets damped and humid - Entertainment; the shows felt repetitive after a few nights - Activity options were limited; there was a nice gym, basketball court and tennis court, but the bikes were only available during a certain period of time and the pool activities were also repetitive Overall, an amazing trip and highly recommended for first timers!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Nice resort but need improvement

Food was not that great we were 8 and 4 out of the 8 was sick. Entertaiment was not that great, had problem with or room door did not lock took them awile to come and fix it. Pool was nice, service at the buffet was not good at all inside except for outside was a bit better(first time at a resort that service is not good) food was always cold.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: All-around Excellent Resort

Resort was clean and public areas/gardens were well manicured. Rooms were clean and spacious. Food was excellent, although no reservation policy (except for Teppanyaki) lead to occasionally long waits for dinner at a la cartes. Beach was excellent and well-maintained; any seaweed (sargassum) that washed ashore was cleaned up by tractor. Hottubs were open 24 hours. Excellence Punta Cana: Amazing Hotel

It was our second visit to the Dominican Republic and we decided to go with a more expensive hotel, which proved to be a very wise decision. Staff was much more friendly and pleasant. Pretty solid restaurants and beach.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Perfect week

Very picturesque setting, friendly, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and beach was fantastic too. Drinks were ok, not consistent or great in any way. Peacocks and flamingos nice to have on resort. Orchids were lovely throughout the resort. Shows were ok.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Awesome family resort

A beautiful and clean resort that’s compact, well organized and family friendly. The beach is incredible, food is great, service is perfect and everyone is so nice. They’ve got tons of activities for kids and adults, and you’ll never be bored. This is probably one of the nicer resorts we’ve been to. Highly recommended

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: New Bahía Principe Ambar renovations

Our third time to the Ambar. Always great buy even better this time as all rooms have been remodeled and the exterior repainted a much nicer colour. Also a brand new really nice Sportsbar right on the grounds. The bottom floor now has walkout pools. The food and drink were perfect as usual. Staff are all wonderful to be with. Lobby has new furniture and a brand new coffee shop just outside. Highly recommend the Adults only Ambar.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Beautiful!

The Majestic was beautiful. All of the public areas were extremely well cleaned and tended to. The majority of the Staff were polite, friendly and always willing to assist us. However, for a resort that was only 2 years old (Mirage) it was in need of some TLC (some repairs, such as a broken elevator, cracked tiles in washroom, etc.). Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

We loved the rooms and the service we received. The room was always done early and supplied with fridge items etc. Richard our butler kept us well supplied with ice and was very helpful with meal arrangements. Pools, restaurants, bars all beautiful, great food and great staff

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Comfortable Resort!

When we checked in, we were given a room on the second floor and facing the back. Although at the time of our booking we specifically asked for a pool view room. The room had an old rusty small fridge in a small desk. The bathroom had a broken toilet paper holder. Not what we were expecting in a five star resort. After complaining to the front desk we were told we could switch rooms in 2 days, which we did and the room was much better with a pool view. The resort itself was good; however on [... read more] a number of occasions the fire alarm kept going off as we were having breakfast. It was very loud and annoying. A week into our stay there was a water leak in our closet with water running down the wall. On the last day we were having a lovely steak dinner and half way through there was a power outage so we left the restaurant! It was fair but we had expected a better experience.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Fantastic Resort

We absolutely loved our stay at Luxury Bahia Principe Samana last week. The food was amazing - we highly recommend the buffet food - everything you could want and more was offered and it was all delicious. I loved the Italian restaurant, but RODIZIO restaurant for Brazilian BBQ was incredible! Book it as soon as you arrive. The staff were so friendly, accommodating, excellent service at the bars especially. Great drinks! Although some negative comments from other reviewers I read prior to booking were on point (ie. room fridge was not very cold, hot tub was not very hot), we found them inconsequential. Overall, this resort was perfect for us and we have absolutely no complaints at all. It was quiet, entertaining, inspiring and so much fun ... and we will definitely visit again!

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Great Family Vacation - Dec 16-23, 2018

Hello, I was hesitant when I booked this hotel as I realized some sites showed 3* and some showed 4*. Well to my surprise I have to give this a 4* and beyond. Sunwing flight was simple - don't expect too much as you know you get what you pay for - service was good for what it was. When we got there someone greeted us from Sunwing made everything pretty straight forward. Bus ride was also pretty straight forward. We had to wait until 3pm to get checkin however we ended up having lunch and had bro [... read more]ught swim suites / shorts in the hand carry on so we felt comfortable in our new gear while we waited. The room was extremely modern with good size two double beds and the shower / bathroom was also very nice - no complaints. The place is big and gorgeous. Lots of activity for the kids - they love the pool so the basket ball and volleyball is all set up in the pool all day - My husband and I bounced around between hanging with them in the pool / beach and adult pool. The beach beds are REAL beds with canopy. All in all very good. We did NOT get bothered by VIP deals - in fact I skipped the next day oreintation partly so that they won't know I'm an outsider and track me down for sales. Also there's nothing you need to know in the orientation that will aid you. We go south every year so to us it's the same speech but like I said best you avoid it - so you don't get hasseled by sales reps. My husband and I did a couples massage which was nice. There's re stores on the beach but I recommend the store in the hotel - prices in some cases for souvenirs is cheaper in the stores. The drinks and the foos is GREAT! Cappacino / Shaggy - great guys with lots of energy!!! Did some water arbics with Shaggy and on the ground. There's spanish classes to learn spanish every day at 10am. Kids and I decided to try this out one morning. The nightly shows are your usual but really good shows. MUST try Sunday evening welcome event outside of the hotel - but a bus will take you there - the spread for this event is outstanding. The show as well. It's a must! One last thing I want to say that I was not too amused by the cats in the restaurants. I don't mind them outside but inside unfortunately I had to leave some reserved dinners because of this. However I realize lots of people don't mind this but it was problomatic for me. EIther way great vacay!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Lovely resort

I enjoyed everything about this resort. Good food, nice staff, clean rooms. The entertainment could have been more clearly explained (nightly shows). Would definitely would go back. I would try to get in buildings close to beach next time
