Grand Lucayan Breakers Cay: Grandiose, great for young or older family

We have done a lot of AI and have been to many Club Meds in the America's and beyond. This hotel has a perfect location, offers all the amenities and gives you an overall good value for your money. It is absolutely comparable to a Club Med minus the night entretainement but if you are looking for a good resting, eating and drinking time with the family, THIS IS IT! Grounds are kept inmmaculate, very large pool, lots of chairs and lounges. Take the all inclusive and enjoy Churchill's Restaurant, good wines (Sparkling wine of good quality too!), snacks, desserts and Starbucks coffee at the plantation (all inclusive). You will sign for every meal and drink but it goes into the AI plan and you pay nothing at the end. Also, you have paddle board, hobby cat, kayak for rental FREE with the AI. Please tip the waiters and waitresses, bartenders and cooks for their hard work. The AI does not go around tipping people. Enjoy the Lucayan... We will be back!

Memories Grand Bahama: Wonderful Vacation

We just returned from a week at Memories and I must admit I was a little worried after seeing previous reviews. We had absolutely nothing to worry about!!! The rooms were clean, food was good, and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We approached everyone we met with a smile and a good morning/afternoon, and were always greeted with the same back. If you gave respect, you received respect.

Memories Grand Bahama: Fabulous week

Just came back after an incredible week with family of 11 at this great resort. Resort itself could use some updates (hallways, elevators, lounge) however, the staff, food, and lovely grounds made up for it. We were entertained daily with games, aerobics, dancing (Mamma B, GG, Mini, Josue and AJ are to name a few) Everyone very friendly and go out of their way to please. Steak House and Japanese restaurants are well worth visiting, fabulous food and great presentation, particularly at the Japanese. Never tried the Italian so cannot comment. Seafood Night at the buffet is incredible, although we don't eat seafood there was plenty of other choices and the chocolate fountain, fresh fruit and candy apples were a lovely finish. Don't waste your time going into Freeport, market across street way better. All in all a fabulous week with family and new friends. Definitely a family resort.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: would return to this location

food was great, staff was wonderful, plenty of daytime and evening activities at hotel, easy access to lots of stuff in town and different excursions.....decor could be updated but it was still nice, my only critisism was tv channels often had intermittent static but we never in room except at bedtime, and we had three people in a room with two single beds pushed together, so one person slept in the middle crack. Not sure why they would put 3 people into a room like that

Memories Grand Bahama: ok Resort

The hotel approaching it is not attractive, but the people that works there is very nice. There are not enough shade on the beach. People are waking up 4am in the morning to put their towel on the chair on the beach and on the pool, and when other people wake up there is none for them. The same family have chair on the pool and on the beach for the whole day when they cannot be in two places at the same time, what a shame. The choice of material use for the chairs in the restaurant is very poor, the chairs are very dirty, and makes me not want to touch it. They are very disorganized when you arrive at the hotel, they make you fill out a form with many tired people waiting behind you after a long flight. For a person like myself, there were not much option, for food, I cannot have milk, salt, wheat, and sugar, white rice and potatoes but the food options was good. Every thing is over priced, I love the beach, and the people most of all, if I go back is for the people and the beach.

The Royal at Atlantis: Trip of a lifetime!

The best way to describe this giant resort is if Disneyworld and Las Vegas had a baby, it would be Atlantis! The Royal Tower and all the grounds and attractions are a feast for the eyes! And the food at the Mosaic Buffet is AMAZING! The turquoise clear waters truly rejuvenate the soul!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Resort was okay

Vendors on the beach were very annoying, could not relax every second someone coming along asking you wanna do this, u wanna do this. hate the fact that smoking was allowed everywhere!! hotel was not accommodating at all our flight was delayed for 6 hours would not allow us to keep room longer

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Not worth the extra $2000.00

Hotel was grand, staff fine, grounds wonderful, all the type? not worth it! Disappointing to say the least about the "premium alcohol", no 24 hr bar at ALL! They wouldn't open the bar at the "private beach" until 11:01 am, god forbid 20 people waiting, and staff was slow as heck to accommodate there! ran out of glasses at the bar many times after being opened 20 minutes. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Welcoming and Pleasing

Fabulous grounds, excellent service and amazing food! We were very impressed with the well kept beach and pool areas. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The food served at the restaurants visited was delicious!

Our overral experience was good. The only downside was the entertainment, it was just lacking. My teenage kids felt that the lack of a nightclub or other entertainment for the younger crowd was not great, as this left them with nothing to do at night. With so many families arriving at the hotel, there should have been more of a variety of things to do for adults, small children and older children.

Breezes Bahamas: Great value

This hotel was a great value , the beach was great, the staff was wonderful, the grounds where beautiful. The rooms need some update. The first room the safe did not work and there was no shower Handel. We brought it to the hotel staff and they upgraded us right away. Great time and a inexpensive way to go to the Bahamas

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Family vacation

The first day we arrived was not good, the whole check in process was awful..big line up and then had to line up again at 3:00pm to get your actual check in keys. Got our room approx.4:30pm, very long day. Then when we got to our room, it was terrible, smelt of mould and very old, and dated. We complained to the front desk but the hotel was full , but they did move us the next day to a much better room, ocean view and it was much better and we were all much happier. The beach beautiful but rocky in areas, bring your water shoes. The entertainment pretty good.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Nice Resort

Resort and grounds were nice. Food was good. We had butler service but it was not as good as some of the other Sandals we had stayed at. We were expected to carry our own cooler and drinks back and forth every day. Butlers at other resorts did this for you every day. We didn't see the point of the butler if we were doing that ourselves every day. Also they were overbooked for our beachfront room top tier category. We had a noisy parking lot view the first night of 4. Very disappointing.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Outstanding Experience from Beginning to End

I have never been to a sandals resort and I will admit that I really didn't know what to expect. With that said, my trip exceeded my expectations in every category. Not only was the resort lovely, pristine and well appointed, the food and personnel at the resort were absolutely 5 stars. The resort and rooms were pristine and the facilities were always clean and well kept. The beaches, while small, were perfect and well maintained. I would note that we never had a problem getting a chair or umbrella at the beach or pools and towels were plentiful. The food at sandals was exemplary. 9 restaurants and all of them were delicious. I have never experienced such delicious food at an all inclusive. Sports and scuba were included and we took advantage of both. All activities were led by amazing staff who ensured our safety every time. All in all, an exemplary trip. We have already booked for a second trip back.

I was quite impressed with most things at this resort. A wonderful array of food at the buffets: wait staff and service personel were all friendly and provided helpful assistance when needed (without waiting for a tip -even though we did tip if one went out of his/her way to assist); the place was meticulously kept, including the rest rooms; suites are roomy with comfortable beds and pillows and deluxe bedding; beach was clean and water beautiful!! It took us almost two hours to get our room keys and the staff were not at all sympathetic or helpful in establishing some form of order to the mass of people who had arrived tired after a long day of travel. When later approached, it was stated that this was the responsibility of Sun Wing to establish how they wished the travellers to be accommodated at registration but I find this highly unlikely!!

Memories Grand Bahama: Great place to enjoy a week in the Bahamas!

Overall, it was a great vacation! The rooms were clean and beds, linens and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping stocks your mini bar with free beer, soft drinks and bottles of water several times per day. The sand, ocean and beaches are wonderful. There are 3 separate pools. Plenty of fun, music and activities around the main pool, with the swim up bar. W [... read more]e didn't use the kids water park, but it looked like a great place for young children to spend the day. All inclusive food and drinks are the best way to go on vacation. The choices of food and drinks are fantastic. There was a coffee shop which served coffee from 8am - 9pm daily. They also had fresh baked goods, including cupcakes, donuts and muffins. They even had mini sandwiches to take the edge off from hunger, after a day at the beach. There was always a restaurant open on the premises where you could get food and several bars to get drinks including soft drinks and juices for the kids. The buffet served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good variety and choices which will keep even your picky eaters happy. There was a snack bar, 11am - 2am which was very convenient and allowed you to satisfy the cravings throughout the day. The Italian restaurant served decent food. The Steakhouse was fantastic. The Sushi restaurant was good too. I If you didn't feel like leaving the beach chair or pool and getting dressed, they had employees grilling up BBQ hamburgers and hotdogs between noon and 3pm, every day. The only bad thing was the service. The workers/employees were not friendly. You just have to accept the fact that you might not get served a coffee at breakfast or a drink with your lunch. And you have to line up to get seated at the restaurant to eat. I am not sure why the employees were unhappy or seemed disinterested in serving. I didn't let them bother me! I was happy to be in on vacation and I wasn't going to let them stop me from enjoying the week.

The Royal at Atlantis: exceptional family vacation

If you're looking for a great family resort for children of ALL ages, Atlantis is for you! There's something for everybody, rain or shine! Everything from lazy rivers, to super speed water park, to exquisite beaches. Food selection is terrific and they have something for even the most selective individuals.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great spot

Great spot for our bachelor party. Restaurants were fully booked pretty much every night but we still managed to get in every night due to cancellations. The pool was a nice size and refreshing, and the beach was excellent. Soft white sand on shore and as far as you could hope to walk into the water. Would recommend to friends.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Pretty good

The food was good. Beach was good, pool was at times dirty with a film I'm guessing from tanning lotion. The hotel is a little dated but not bad, our room was on the 15th floor which only 1 of the 3 elevators went up to, so long waits. The staff are friendly. Overall for the price I would go back.

Memories Grand Bahama: good resort, great island

This was our second stay here, and this time it was for our honeymoon. The resort is nice, the rooms are a little dated but you don't spend a lot of time in them so who cares? The people are wonderful and friendly and the beach is beautiful. The food is also great. Whatever you do, upgrade to diamond club to have a more pleasant experience. CONS: we requested a king bed ahead of time (keep in mind this is our honeymoon) and got a reply email that they would try to accommodate that, and that we w [... read more]ould get a honeymoon package consisting of a couples massage, a private dinner for two and champagne. None of this happened, or was even spoken of and we received two double beds. We emailed our contact while we were at the resort and never received an answer. The waitstaff can run hot and cold. Either they are attentive and friendly, or completely ignore you to the point you are scrounging around for your own utensils and water/coffee. Also, they closed our favourite bar, closest to the far end behind the Italian restaurant. Last year it was an oasis to hang out at during the day, away from the noisy pool with a beautiful view of the ocean. Now it is only open to the restaurant patrons at night. It was only made worse by the 'social' bar now being too crowded and frequently running out of various liquors. Would we go back? I think we would try another resort, love the bahamas but we do not love the resort. It is a decently priced entry to the bahamas but time to move on to better things.
