Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Boo

This resort would have been ok at best if they didn’t keep saying they don’t have things. They kept running out of stuff and the food was more repetitive than other resorts I have been to in Cuba. Probably won’t go back to this side of the island cayo coco side way nicer than Varadero. Also if you are thinking about booking the privilege area wait til you get to resort and bargain with them. We saved a 1000.00 doing this. Definitely will not go back

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Get what you pay for

Overall this resort was ok in terms of the service provided and the cleanliness of the resort. The people were amazing, especially at the pool bar and beaches. The resort isn’t directly on the beach, there is about a 3-5 minute walk from the pool to the beach. The area in between wasn’t that clean or up-kept very well. It was very hard to obtain clean beach towels as the hut was barely open or there was no one working. The food wasn’t the best, but that’s Cuba! Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Got what you paid for.

Overall, this resort was what I expected for the price in Cuba. Most staff was nice, however very lazy when asked any questions/for something. Shoutout to the pool bar staff and cleaning staff, they were great. The beach was beautiful, however most beach chairs were broken. The rooms were great- clean every day, well air conditioned, very nice. Biggest complaint would be the food. My entire group of 8 were sick almost the entire week. Would not return to this resort, but would return to Cuba.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Would not go again

Best part of my trip was catching a giant fish during one of the excursions. Staff were amazing and funny but good luck trying to change your beach towel. Food was awful unless you get it made for you at the grills. Slept terrible on paper thin pillows

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Get what you payed for

During our 7 day stay our Rooms were spacious and kept clean. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The bar staff and waiters were incredibly friendly and made you feel at home. They became your family by the end of your stay! Beach and pools were beautiful. However for a 4 year old resort it was almost impossible to get clean beach towels as no one was ever working at the stand. Many of the women’s bathroom doors wouldn’t lock. Food was bellow average throughout our stay.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Was O.K.

Definitely not 5*. We stayed for 2 weeks from January 17 to 31. Personal was very friendly. The most we like beach server Jemima she was very friendly funny & fast the best. But on 3 day staying there I got salmonella poisoning eating salad with peace of chicken eating in beach restaurant.Thanks to my friend Anna having god medicine after 24 hours I was better.We all enjoyed Grease show the angel was fabulous.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good resort but needs some work

Let me start with the good. The resort is beautiful, spacious and very well maintained. our whole group overall enjoyed the week we spent there. This was mostly because of two reasons, one the company we had, our groups are from different cities and it was kind of a reunion of old friends. second reason was the waiting staff both at all the restaurants and bars. I really wish they would be more focused on customer service. I dealt with 4-5 different people throughout the week and everyone had the same approach of passing the blame and not getting anything done. First issue was that we asked for adjoining rooms by calling a week before and a day before our arrival. we were assured both times that the request was placed in our reservation. when we checked in, the rooms were far apart even though the room next to our was empty for the first 3 days Second issue we had was that our room didn't have the balcony Swing that EVERY other room in the building had. we literally had the only room without the swing. i know this because i went around the outside of the building checking every balcony. My kids obviously had issues with that since the other room (with 2 more kids) in our group did have the swing. we notified the front desk within the first hour of our check-in and were told that it would be look at right away. we also asked if we could be moved to the room next to us (which was empty) but were told that it was booked for another arriving party. That party did not arrive till day 4 of our stay. Followed up on that on Day 2,3,4,5,6 and everyday I was told that they have notified maintenance staff and they would come and bring the swing that was supposed to be there. each day I was also told that there are no rooms available in our building as they are at 100% capacity. Even through the room cleaning staff told us that there are plenty of rooms empty just on our floor. Third issue was with the refrigerator, It never kept the drinks cold. I requested the guest services and front desk to either replace it or come fix the one that was there but nothing was done. we have a 3 month old that needs breast milk which when pumped needs to be kept in the fridge. we ended up using the ice bucket all week with constant refills from the ice machine on the 1st floor to preserve the milk. So in summary, I would say that IF you happen to get everything working in your room and not have to deal with the front desk or guest services staff then you will have a great stay otherwise, pay more and upgrade on the spot to receive better treatment. Our room number was 2232. I hope that fixed it but i would try and avoid it.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Very nice resort

Everyone works hard to keep everything clean. Staff is pleasant and helpful. It's a very beautiful resort with lots of pools. The one thing I didn't agree with was the fact that our friends upgrated to a privilege package when they arrived as one was not available at the time of booking. My husband and i were able to get the privilege package when we booked but there was none left for our friends. It was understood that they would not be able to get a privilege room but they would get all  [... read more]of the privilege access. Well that isn't so. They did not get the lobster dinner coupon, when asked they said it wasn't part of it. they also didn't qualify for the sauna,pool and hot tub i n the spa area. They asked to have their room stocked with alcohol like every other privilege guest, but they were also turned down. They paid what any other privilege guest paid but the only benefit they seem to have received was a cute bracelet and access to the privilege lounge and premium alcohol at the bar. I felt they did not receive fair treatment for the extra fee they paid. The hotel should honor the full privilege package (except for the room) if this was the agreement.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Exceeded expectations

I don't really have anything bad to say about this place. It was clean, great atmosphere, great food. Beach was nice, could use some more chairs though. I read mixed reviews before coming and honestly didn't know what to expect, but I would return. Great for families and couples, maybe not the best for singles.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Excellent trip

My wife and I just returned from Ocean Blue and Sand all-inclusive vacation booked entirely by Tripcentral in Hamilton. We enjoyed the trip immensely. It is a beautiful resort - very well maintained, with comfortable rooms and great service. The food had great variety and there were entertaining events to attend every night. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great value

Very happy with hotel, service and food. Overall great value and would return to this hotel. Location on beach is excellent. Hotel needs some repairs to pool areas and walkways to beach. But they were working on the walkway while I was there.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Good and bad

We loved the resort, it was clean and staff was friendly! The food on the other hand, was so terrible to the point that 3/4 of us got food poisoning on 3 separate nights! (Meaning we didn’t all eat the same meal and still got it). One of us ended up in the hospital. We are not picky eaters by any means but the food was clearly not safe! If the food was better we would consider going back but unfortunately we would never return, our experience was a little traumatic.

Playa Vista Azul: amazing resort

We should of been informed better from the privileged office or from the butler that was assigned to us that our room would not be ready until 4 no one told us they just kept saying give us a little bit more time so we waited 4 hours for our room in our long pants and shirts. Maybe trip central could of maybe informed us too. the service was a bit slow at the buffets and sometimes the food bins wouldn't be filled up fast enough for everyone. but other wise it was ok Its Cuba and they are very [... read more] slow. we had a wonderful time and I would go back there again the grounds and the room were amazing. one of the best places I have been in Cuba and I have been there 6 times.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Ocean Coral and Turquesa

I thought the hotel was very up to date, comfortable and friendly. I realize it is not the newest hotel in the area however I thought it would then have more ambiance and I was primarily very happy with my decision. The hotel however should update their beach chairs and their chairs around the swimming pool. I was down at the ocean beach most of the time and the chairs were rather uncomfortable and heavy to move around and low to the ground. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: very nice resort!

Grounds, pools and beach were beautiful. Really liked the three pools with kids at one side and "party" pool at the other. Rooms a bit dated but not terrible. Staff were friendly and helpful but getting your room cleaned/restocked could be dicey at times. All in all a great place.

the resort was really nice the food was amazing pools and beaches where really nice a kept up nice the room need some improvement and the cleaning of the rooms could be better (dust and cob webs in the corners of the walls mold spots on the window coverings)

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Perfect Resort!!!

This resort was perfect from the time we checked in to the moment we left! The staff are beyond friendly and always willing to help with anything. They work so hard! The rooms are incredibly clean an so spacious. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing and the A La Carte restaurants were so delicious and the food choices were incredible. No matter where you pick to eat or whether it’s breakfast lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointe [... read more]d in the selection and quality. Nightlife is so incredible for all ages! There is always something going on for everyone, from little kiddies to older mature couples like my husband and I. If I could recommend one place to eat it’s the Japanese! Even if you don’t like sushi, you need to try this sushi! Absolutely YUMMY! I wish I could name all of the staff by names, I should have written them down! But one person in particular is Jose! He was our waiter in the privilege lounge. He was FABULOUS and very attentive and friendly! Over all we LOVED THIS PERFECT RESORT!

We liked everything mostly my boy with autism was happy no stress Was great food was good hotel was clean .beach is beautiful would diffently go there again. The service was very quick and they were all friendly.The entrainment was very good.My son really enjoyed the shows every night.The staff is all very good.The pools were nice clean.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great Time at Ocean Coral

We loved our stay at OCT! Very kid friendly with a lot activities and toys. Pools were nice. Beach was beautiful with seaweed cleaned out regularly. Buffet had nice variety. Loved the outdoor Italian a la carte (steak and tortellini were SOO good). Friendly staff. Our son had to see Dr. Diaz at the resort’s clinic and he was very helpful and attentive. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Amazing resort

We went to Ocean Casa Del Mar as family of four ( 2 adults, 2 kids) and we had 2 separate rooms on 1st floor.We asked for 2 joint rooms and they give us next day on 2nd floor with ocean view, without paying extra money.Very nice of them.We stayed in building #12....very close to the beach, pool, snack bar.It was very convenient for us, specialy if you traveling with kids (5 and 11 years old).Room overly was good except for water around toilet ( they was trying to fix, but was bigger issue and th [... read more]ey need to order some parts), but it was not that big problem and we used towels exchanged daily to keep it dry. My suggestion is to wash decorative pillows and bed covers. Rooms were cleaned daily and also if needed towels were replaced. Food was good, especially in buffet big variety of food.We eat a lot of fresh cooked fish, mussels, kids enjoyed pancakes and morning time we had omelets. We have eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, really a lot things to chose. Waitress are very friendly.Every one made feel us special.They have good manier.Very friendly stuff and very helpful, even some of them speak only Spanish, but still like to help. We went to two restaurants (Neptun and Origami), food was good, but my suggestion is that if you traveling with kids Buffet is better idea. I have rented for 3 days scouter and was able to go outside for ride from resort. For additional price is possible to book everyday many excursions ( catamaran, jeap saffari, swim with delphines). Beach is not so far 100-150m, very clean and sand and ocean are amazing. Kids enjoyed beach the most and also pool. Near is also market where I have bought many stuff. We made new friends and exchanged numbers. I definitely recomend this resort and will be happy to return there next time, this time for 2 weeks.
