Breezes Bahamas: Watch your belongings

Good food and great beach, but we had money stolen from our SAFE (our locked safe!!!). $200 was taken from us, we reported to the security and we were informed things would be taken care of.... And nothing happened!

Hotel Los Cactus: Breezes Varadero

I have been to Varadero 4 times including the Riu Varadero... I booked an oceanview room with tripcentral and received a gardenview with a barely spittin' shower spout. The food is redundant but that's expected in Cuba, u go for the beach! Breezes Varadero upsetted me in many ways. We paid more than enough for what we thought was a GREAT trip!! When we arrived, we waited two hours for a room... Don't get fouled by nolitours & early check ins and late checkouts. Meanwhile a spanish speaking coupl [... read more]e came along and had a room in a minute. I was there neighbours but because I didn't speak spanish, they got a better room than me and before us. Shakes my head!!

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: very nice resort

Friendly staff,good location,amazing beach,and good snorkelling.They had many activities,and I saw a lot of people participating.The glass bottom boat ride complimentary offered is a big bonus.We enjoyed it. We were very pleased with the overall service.

Hotel Bella Costa: Wonderful Staff

This hotel is in need of an update. Someone needs to come in and spend some money on this resort. It has a perfect location!! The beach is amazing. The way the tide is, creates a sandbar like none I've ever seen before. The staff is wonderful, the food is consistent with the rest of Cuba. The lunch bar has a stone pizza oven for individual pizza's. Grab some items from the buffet there and add it to the other items they have available. The beer was cold, the beach was unbelievable & the staff is amazing. I would recommend the Villa's. Not the hotel. It is decent value if you don't pay full price.

Rooms on the Beach Negril: A 'Very Good' Value Resort

Enjoyed ouselves emmensely for first timers at Rooms Negril. Never having stayed 3 star non all inclusive we werent really sure what to expect - but they really met and or exceeded all aspects of our stay! It is important to remember that this is not a 4-5 star resort and that you must be preapred for all the little hiccups that you may/will encounter along the way. Staff: friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Be prepared to wait sometimes for your room to be cleaned and fresh towels. [... read more] Everything happens in Jamaican time and pace. Beach/Pool towels and lounge chairs: first come,first serve - could wait up to an hour Beach: Beautiful!!! nicely located and near enough to town/mall if needed. WARNING!: depending upon your room location and what night of the week - IT CAN BE VERY NOISY at night (thankfully not every night) from the surrounding bars, music and "wildlife" Also, our safe was not operational and the sliding door lock needed to be and was repaired once we brought it to the staffs attention. Continental Breakfast: was adequate - mostly a variety of breads, muffins and fruits! Substantial enough to get the drinks flowing. We purchased our alcohol and mix from either of the shops right across the street or just down the beach. Local Cuisine: was excellent every where we went. We went to a different place every night for dinner including trying the many Jerk Chicken BBQ's which are everywhere! Average meal price $6-$10. YOU MUST not expect 5 star facilities and service and you wont be disappointed. We loved our stay and will be back again at the same resort in the same room again next year!

Hotel Los Cactus: The people were amazing

The grounds were lovely, the pool area was the best with plenty of new lounge chairs The beach is beautiful, white sand, turquoise. waters , and a lot of places for shade although we had to get up fairly early to find lounges in decent condition. The rooms were large but could use updating ,we had a few plumbing issues. The units closest to the beach were the best. There was plenty of food ,while limited in cereals that we would eat. Hotel Los Cactus: Great resort for quiet vacation.

This resort is more for the quiet set! We had a great vacation; until a single father from Montreal showed up with his 11 year old & 14 year old sons. They played loud music that was to their liking and disturbing to those of us that wanted quiet. They did not respect the ground or the people around them; letting their garbage dance down the beach in the breeze, getting sick in the ocean, spitting whenever and wherever they liked. Hotel Bella Costa: Amazing Resort and Amazing People

We stayed at Breezes Bella Costa for one week including my wife my 18th months old son and myself (29th May to 5th June 2014). I am really glad that we chose this resort. It's a perfect family resort. My 18th son loved the resort and he really really enjoyed. Him being happy really made our stay beautiful. People and service were amazing. The beach was breathtaking. I loved the hobycat and snorkeling. The pools were clean and nice. The food (buffet) was good. Breakfast was the best. A la carte dinner at the Cuban restaurant was wonderful. Italian restaurant was good too. Japanese restaurant was disappointing though. Bars were very good as well. We really loved the restaurant by the beach. I would gladly recommend it friends.

Memories Jibacoa: Beautifully relaxing getaway!

rooms: had a beach front room with direct access to the beach which was beautiful to wake up to. Air conditioning was not too much, slight bit of mold around the vents as a result however. Bed was two twins pushed together but done in a way you could not tell - fairly comfy!The fridge however smelt like cheese so we didn't use it. overall, safe, clean and quiet space. Rustic and laid back feel perfect for recharging your batteries all while being close to hotspots like Havana. music playing in the distance on the beach was nice. A little rocky in spots but beautiful water none the less. Great place to get into snorkeling.

Memories Jibacoa: Resort that will not dissapoint you

Very clean resort, friendly staff, good food choices, enough entertainment and options to make your stay enjoyable, tailored for people without kids. Beautiful beach, swimming pool with 2 Jacuzzi. If you are looking for a quite resort, or to be close to Havana for daily visits, look no further.

Beautiful grounds, excellent staff,perfect size of resort, beautiful beach,excellent location, very nice garden suites,enough lounges ,and shade,lot of bars, nice beach bar and barbecue, nice entertainment.

Memories Jibacoa: Better than we expected!

This was the first time my husband had ever gone to Cuba and my 5th time, but both our first time at this hotel. Everyone was telling him how terrible the food was going to be and how Cuba was not a great place to go. To our surprise, the food was better than we expected. What was odd was that we had to lock the door from the outside and inside with our key. There was a lock vault in our room to put our valuables. Our t.v. was the big tube type but other rooms had flat screens. The room smelled a little musty but the air conditioner worked very well and at times, we had to turn it off because the room got too cold! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. On the 2nd night we had a problem with our iron and they came and replaced it right away. The only thing that was disappointing was their gym equipment. It was right beside the dive shop and obvious that the sea air had taken a toll on them and most of them were quite rusted. The beach had white sands but the ocean was a bit rocky. This is ideal if you like to snorkel but not for the average beach-goer. I did a lot of scuba diving and we started from the shore and dove the rest of the way into the ocean. There was also a tennis court and a basketball court. Every day there was a hiking tour and our Sunwing rep was really informative and very good. The entertainment was pretty good. I'm not normally one to watch a magic show but before I knew it....I ended up being entertained and watched the entire show!

Hotel Bella Costa: Great resort for families with young kids!

This was a great resort for families with young children. Some parts of the hotel exterior were a little worn looking, but that didn't affect our stay at all. The beach was clean and the water was clear!

Hotel Bella Costa: Everything we needed!!

A great resort that provided everything we were looking for and more! Helpfull and friendly staff, clean room, great variety of food, nightly entertainment, room close to beach, great beach with plenty of chairs and lots of information available for day trips etc. We would definitely go back to this resort!

Rooms on the Beach Negril: Amazing place

We like the fact that it was directly on the beach, not too crowed. Nice staff. Basic continental breakfast could be healthier. Nice hotel and rooms. Close to downtown 2 km ( walk). lots of restaurant nearby and pretty safe to walk the beach at night, lots of resto on the beachtoo. not really a resort with kids , no activity. Would hightly recommend this resort

Sunscape Curacao Resort: One of our best vacations ever!

We go away at least once a year and absolutely loved the Sunscape. It was smaller and more personal then some of the really big resorts people typically go to. The food and staff were wonderful! A very unique resort and island. Would go back again!

Hotel Los Cactus: Excellent Resort

My wife and I along with ou r 5 grown children have been to the Breezes many times and have yet to have a bad experience. The staff is excellent and we have made many good friends at the resort, As a matter of fact we just spent the July long weekend at our cottage talking about the Breezes on occasion. The rooms are good but in the caribbean you can expect a few insects. The food is adequate to good but keep an open mind as not everything will be the same as in Canada. Free booze, golf included [... read more], internet okay but frequently off. The best part is the staff, very accomadating as long as they are treated with respect. The beach well there are few better. Take the trip you will really enjoy the place!!!!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Not so Grand anymore....

Tired property that I am sure was once excellent. Certainly not a 5 star as rated. Stayed one night then switched to the Riu next door. Rooms were tired (bathrooms very updated though) and smelled very musty. Food looked sketchy.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Amazing beach, hotel a little dated but still real

Don't believe all the bad reviews. I was very happy with our choice to stay at Sunscape but then we don't have unreasonable expectations. Was this the best all-inclusive we've ever stayed at? No, but it was still really good. Personally I think people have expectations that are too high which is why they give bad reviews. Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful beach resort!

Beach is amazing, resort was clean and staff were friendly. Food was very good and well prepared (remeber to make reservations though), it was still cuba though.......but never went hungry. Almost an hour to the airport.
