Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Just what I needed!

This is the second time staying at this resort. We booked it last year and decided to do so again this year. My agent contacted the hotel and asked for an early check-in and a room with a balcony. Very happy to say we got both on arrival. Hotel and grounds are kept in immaculate condition. The staff are all extremely kind and helpful. The grounds are well manicured and from room to beach is literally under a two minute walk. They have something different each night fur entertainment. They really go above and beyond when planning these events. Highly recommend

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Wonderful Resort

Entrance - appealing. Arrival and departure excellent- efficient and friendly. Helpful. Grounds- beautifully kept. Has an animal sanctuary- fun to walk by and watch the animals. Kept clean. Bars- all friendly service fairly fast. Sports bar was a great place to get snacks in between meals. Main buffet- lots of variety to choose from. Tastey. Meat a little over done. Rooms. Comfortable. Right temperature. No drawers but lots of hangers. No charge for room service. Food came quickly though it said 45 min approx. Usually within 15-20 minutes. All staff were friendly and helpful. Pool fitness was fun on the bikes. Other things such as water volleyball, water polo if interested. Spanish or dance lessons if wanted. Pool chairs are comfortable enogh. Pool service is great but not long waits at the bar. Did not try any specialty restaurant. Distance to downtown is far- over an hour by bus. Bucerias about 40 min. Suggestion is go early and return early then busses are not full. About 36 pesos to Bucerias by bus. You can catch a little van transp and they charge similar. I'd take one of those if it were busy rather than the bus as you have a seat to sit on. They are fairly full after lunch til dinner. Beach is nice. Watercwas warm. Nice walks along the beach. Not a lot of shells. Entertainment - first for kids then adults. It was short, fun, cirque style and after they had music to dance to. That too was entertaining- got people up and dancing. Had a couple of dhows with it - very enjoyable. Overall a wonderful experience- just expect the food to be tastey but repetetive. Crown Paradise Golden: Great Resort

We have stayed at this resort multiple times and keep returning for the value, food and great weather. The a la carte restaurants are wonderful, but this time they were much more difficult to book. We had to line up at 3 the day before to book our favourite ones in the family resort. The French Restaurant was fabulous. The food and service were much more than you could expect from an all inclusive.

Crown Paradise Golden: Sorry they missed the mark

We stayed in the new tower (opened 6 maths ago). Great room. No chamber service day after arrival. General cleanliness of the resort was lacking. Staff overall were friendly and helpful. Buffet lacked variety and quality of food. Same fruit, same choices every day for breakfast. details...margarine instead of butter, Guacamole from a bag, packaged juices, poor cuts of meat, poor selection of veggies. A la carte restaurants had no ambience, lack of decor. Food was mediocre in quality and variety [... read more]. Japanese restaurant was best, Mexican worst. Reservation system was ridiculous and confusing as restaurants were dark certain days but information not posted. Dozens of couples turned away from 1/3 to half empty restaurants when they showed up w/o a reservation in the evening. General information about resort activities only posted at main pool. No daily sheet or room TV info. No idea what was going on the following day until posted manually on the board at 9 am day of!! Drinks inconsistent between bars. Sky bar 7 and pool were great. beautiful view. So much potential and easy fixes as this resort is well located and great social atmosphere.

Samba Vallarta: Beautyful resort

We liked very much everything was great the weather to and also the staff is very friendly the food is mostly Mexican the sweet table only 3*** but we wood go back any time and send friends to we burn to crisp

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Awesome holiday

Staff were incredibly friendly. Food and service was awesome Location was superb Overall the Grand Paladium met our expectations! Adult pool was relaxing at night Coffee was so good Fresh fruit juices and fruit was our staple

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Excellent Resort

This resort was very good the staff was awesome they bent over backwards to help you out any time you needed assistance ! The grounds were beautiful and well kept ! but extra praise for all the staff who always went that extra mile with the service. I definitely will come back next year for my vacation again !

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: was a little disappointed

Clean resort. Food decent. Most staff friendly. Had an issue with checkin (Which was resolved but not totally and my request given three months prior) as well I had an issue with the head of the Italian restaurant when he would not replace a sour bottle of wine I purchased and I still had to pay for it. That was super disappointing.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Good resort

Very clean and always making an effort to keep it that way Beds were good Staff outstanding Loved the meals in the restaurants at night and the service was great Always wanting to please u and going the extra mile

Flamingo Vallarta: Good hotel overall

I think overall its a good hotel, not super luxurious, but hey, for the price you pay I think is OK. There are lots of comments regarding the food, I would say that if for breakfast you are OK with bread, toast, eggs, pancakes, you are good. Supper options are not that great, but again for the price its OK. We would eat out for supper and the bill for 5 people it's around 130 CAD. So, it's quite expensive to go out for every meal so I would recommend for an extra couple of dollars, it's good to [... read more] go for all inclusive. Just eat out once in a while :). The pool is nice, because is mostly retired people that are in the hotel! They just take the chairs and read and tan all day long. So pool is basically private. My toddler loved it! I would recommend it if you are looking for a holiday and you are on budget. There are beaches near by or you could go to Sayulita, very nice little town 45 minutes away. Uber will cost around 50 CAD and you can enjoy a nice day there. This I will recommend to do.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Excellent staff

The staff at resort were awesome Rosie the morning cook was fantastic grounds were very well kept pool areas were well kept room was good my only complaint about the resort was chairs by the pool towels were put on chairs starting at 5 am or tipped over went to the pool at 11 am was about 12 ppl around pool and 4 in pool and not a chair to be had seen towels put out and no one on them till afternoon other than that it’s a great resort was our third time there

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Third Visit - always great

The Grand Paladium resort, as always, was lovely. Grounds are clean and pleasant to stroll around. The staff is so very kind and accommodating, the reason we keep going back to Mexico. We have visited this particular resort 3 times now. Next year we will venture on to a different one.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Nice resort

Decameron Los Cocos resort was in a town called Guayabitos which is about an hour and a half from Puerto Vallarta so it’s awesome if you want to be away from busy tourist centre. Beach sand was very soft not rockey at all water was calm and you can swim in small waves which was very nice. It is a very nice location surrounded by Jungle however most people don’t speak much English even resort staff didn’t speak much English. The staff work hard to keep the place clean. Alicias was a very good restaurant that we went to and she even organized an awesome fishing trip and cooked up our catch of fish which was delicious. Very authentic Mexico. We were in building 4 adult only building and our room was very big which was awesome. Water in shower smelled a bit funny at times and I had trouble getting it to maintain a constant temperature but it did have good pressure. Maid cleaned room everyday and provided bottled water. I didn’t use pools so I cannot comment on them but they looked clean

Excellent staff they are amazing. Entertainment was good.The beach is nice could use more umbrellas and better lounges..Maybe more washrooms . The food needs to be improved in the sunset restaurant.

Crown Paradise Club: Alot of things to do

The Hotel is nice. The food was good and there was a huge variety at the buffet.The lapalapa could use a good cleaning on the chairs. You can see whales from the shore and big cruise ships going by . We walked on the shore up to an area where there is crocodiles. The nightly show was great especially the guy with the hola hoop. The hot tub and bar was nice. Should have the bar open later though. We would go back again , next time we would take kids. It's not a real romantic resort.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Very nice resort!

This was our second time at the Hacienda Buenaventura. The only downside is that it’s about a five minute walk to the beach and when you go out the front door to get there, you’re on the major road through town so there’s some noise and exhaust fumes. The staff here are exceptional. It’s a small enough hotel that you really get to know your servers, bartenders etc. Most of the staff from our first visit are still there so I assume that they are treated well. Franchesko, the senior  [... read more]of the restaurant waiters was great. The entertainment is limited and there is no disco so it’s a pretty quiet place- not party central. The food does get a bit repetitive after a while and the selection for vegetarians is a bit limited but we don’t go there for gourmet food. The beach club is on a very good part of the beach and the service at the beach bar and snack bar was great. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a more authentic Mexican experience.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Not so good

We have stayed ar 3 other Melia resorts and this one was definitely our least favorite. Had a few issues without room. Breakfast and lunch buffet wasn't too bad but dinner wasn't so good. Location is great!

Samba Vallarta: Welcoming resort with amazing staff

The staff make this a great resort very friendly and always trying to make your vacation special. The grounds are very well maintained, the rooms themselves are a bit older but clean. I was disappointed that the bar fridge wasn’t restocked daily nor was the coffee, but easy enough to go down to a restaurant and pick up yourself and bring back to the room. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: DeCameron Complex in Buceria Mexico [

A large complex with many buildings and manypools etc. The accomodation is very good - king bed; very well maintained and cleaned etc. The place is set on a beautiful, long beach strip with seemingly unlimited chairs and umbrellas and pullapas. The beach itself stretches for kilometres in both directions allowing for almost unlimited beach walking. The Complex has 5 Restaurants, 2 large dining rooms. The food is excellent. There are many performances by very good musicians and performers; so [... read more]mething every night. There is also a wonderful dance group that performs nightly in nan outdoor amphitheater. The town of Bucerias has numerous shops. There are many tours available that are good.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Hacienda amazing!

We stayed at the Hacienda Hilton in Puerto Vallarta. It’s a beautiful adults only section attached to the Hilton. The staff was friendly, hardworking, and happy. The food was great, many healthy options always available, amazing mojitos and no one was annoyed when they had to make one(as we have experienced at other resorts).The adults only pool was maybe a bit too quiet for our liking, but no big deal. The beach was great for long walks and had a private area where the vendors were not to bother you. We had such a great time. Thanks Hilton staff!
