Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazaing Resort

Resort was wonderful, staff was courteous and accommodating. For once, I felt that "all inclusive" was actually just that because the food was abundant and tasty, the wine flowed all week and it didn't matter if tips were given or not, the level of service was the same. I would definitely return.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great trip

Had a wonderful stay at Grand Palladium. We had booked in the Punta Cana Section but were assigned a lovely room in the Bavaro section. This is a really large resort and other than taking a shuttle to some of the a la carte restaurants we basically stayed in the bavaro area. Buffet was good. Pool was lovely. Hemingway bar was delightful for a nightcap. Service was great. Grounds were beautiful and well manicured. Powder sand beach. Any concerns were immediately addressed. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Unlimited Sunshine

We stayed at Majestic Colonial from Apr 17-24. A great get away from the dreary days at home. We arrived at Majestic Colonial at around 11:00 am and we were in our room within minutes. However the room itself was not that great. It had a musty smell combined with a cleaning solution (maybe pine sol). I knew that was not the room I would be staying in for the week. I went to the Colonial Club desk and asked if we could be switched. There was no problem at all! We did have to wait until the next d [... read more]ay but I found that to be reasonable. Next morning we had a room. From that point on there were no real issues. We found the food to be good. The staff very friendly and cheerful for sure.It was the usual entertainment for any resort. Michael Jackson of course. With all the entertainers out there I find it hard to believe that they are STILL doing Michael Jackson. Enough already, maybe with the recent passing of Prince, they may want to give that a try. Every resort has done that show for so many years now that I couldn't watch it if I tried. They did have a circus show one evening that was entertaining. The resort itself was a perfect size, easily walk able and to find your way around. My biggest disappointment was the pool. It was SO shallow! Maybe 3 -3 1/2 feet deep. However it did keep you cool in the bright hot sun, which I loved! The beach was a bit too rough for me, others had no problem with the waves...they loved them. This property is so clean. You could not find a cigarette but or trash anywhere. Even the ashtrays were always clean. A lot of very good reasons to go to the Majestic Colonial, the staff,food and cleanliness, but unfortunately as beautiful as the pool was, it was too shallow and that was the deal breaker for me. I would recommend the Majestic to a younger crowd who enjoy the waves at the beach. It was beautiful by the way, clean and no seaweed. All kinds of palapas for shade. We had a very enjoyable week at the Majestic with one minor disappointment(the pool). When that is all I can complain about, I would consider this vacation to be a success.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Must Return

Generally, this property was a good match for me. It hit all the top notes on my list of priorities. As with many hotel rooms, I wish the lighting in the bathroom for grooming and at the bedside for reading in bed were better. It would also have been preferable to have access to more wall receptacles, given the number of items (some medical) I had requiring recharging. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet. The availability and variety of beverages was more than sufficient to satisfy my requirements. The only problem in this regard was the welcome cocktail served for the French-themed buffet dinner . . . the Kir (white wine + Creme de Cassis) was dreadfully short of Cassis so as to be merely white wine. We were unsuccessful in conveying this information to staff. A beautiful property, wonderfully walkable beach, lovely staff, great facilities and maintenance . . . I would return in a heartbeat.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: One of the best resorts I've stayed In.

This resort is amazing. The grounds are immaculate and well kept. The food is delicious and well displayed. The staff is outstanding being friendly and performing wonderful service. Our rooms were immaculate and very clean. The Jr. Jacuzzi room was very spacious and nicely decorated. We were on the third floor and we had a balcony with a view of the meandering pool which I floated down every day. Plus elevators in all buildings which we both appreciated because of our health issues. The Entertai [... read more]nment Team kept everyone busy - Young & Old. In the evenings there was live entertainment and the E.T. asked if you wanted to dance - they were so much fun. My special amiga Doris helped me with daily exercises. The Nightly Entertainment blew you away especially the Michael Jackson Show. Circus Night was so much fun. Piano music in the bar upstairs in the evenings as well. Overall I would come back to this resort in a heartbeat.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: beautiful resort, disappointing outcome

We stayed at the Melia Caribe between April 17-24, 2016. It is a beautiful resort with exceptional grounds and attentive staff. Unfortunately just upon arrival and while we waited for our room to be ready, we were harassed very quickly by a rep who wanted us to view The Level; an exclusive part of the resort$$. We had paid very good money to be there and were stunned at how they did not even let us see the resort first before already trying to upsell us. In our state of travelling all day, we ag [... read more]reed just to get rid of him. Unfortunately, it did not end there. Every time we stepped into the lobby to navigate to the restaurants, lounge or casino, there were more reps ready to hound us again. After a day, we changed our minds about wanting to join the breakfast seminar on The Level and when approached by the rep again and explaining ourselves, he became very angry, told us that we had wasted his time and he could have been talking to other potential guests. The worst part, he proceeded to call me a “Puta” while walking away. Now Spanish is not our first language but we do know what the word means. We have his name (as they all wear name tags) but will not throw this angry man under the bus as we know the DR is not Canada and it is more difficult to obtain jobs. Needless to say, we were upset for a good day after that and very uneasy whenever approaching the lobby as (I) feared running into this guy again  This relentless selling is the reason we will not book a Melia resort ever again. This is unfortunate because the resort is immaculate, the grounds stunning and the food, exceptional. Also, the seagrass was a huge disappointment as we are very much beach people and did not appreciate swimming in a salad bowl. All in all, this was not the best choice of resorts for us.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Dreams Punta Cana is paradise

Excellent all inclusive experience. Food was excellent. Loved not having to book a la carte restaurants. Customer service was truly excellent. Staff tried to go above and beyond to make customers happy.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Best Bahia Principe Experience

Right from registering at the lobby (William) to getting the best room available, to the dining experiences (Maria Alexandra, Maria, Santos, and the whole team in the dining buffet area), to the various bars (Rafael, Juan Carlos etc.), to the tram drivers, the guest services, we had nothing but praises and smiling experiences. It seems the staff is trained to please the guest, nothing less. The Air Transat Staff was very thorough, professional, not imposing. The only suggestion we would make wou [... read more]ld be to increase the English vocabulary of the staff as it is a universal language. this is NOT to say Spanish is not a beautiful language, on the contrary it is a great language.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing & breath-taken resort

The hotel & place was very beautiful, the food was excellent and service was grand. The only two things we had bad experience with was: (1.) Even though, we did not have an reservation for the Steak house on the beach, the hostess place us at a table next to the kitchen door which the sue-chief & waiters were yelling orders as well as the dishes & glasses were classing & banging. (2.) At the banquet hall (supper), we were seated at a table next to a group of people who were extremely intoxicated [... read more], yelling and using loud profanities – and no one (hostess & management) did anything . In fact, we noticed this group was served more alcohol during dinner. This was not accepted as we also noticed, we were not the only table that was being disrupted but six to seven tables around – there should have been an alcohol limited.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Very beautiful resort.

First time at the Bavaro Princess. Our 11th vacation in the Domician. A wonderful vacation and a lovely resort. The service was excellent and the beach was spectacular. Looking forward to #12. Special thanks to Johnny, Wilfred and Socrates.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Vacation

This resort was absolutely amazing. The grounds were so well kept, workers were always on the go. Our room was beautiful and cleaned daily, mini bar restocked daily, clean towels everyday also. The food was great, we only went to 3 of the specialty restaurants and went to the buffet most meals, there was always a large selection and food was always hot. The beach is amazing, very large. Service was fantastic. My reason for not giving this resort a 5 star rating is for 2 reasons, 1) the property is huge, by the end of our week long stay we still weren't all that confident in how to get around, even the trolley system was a bit confusing. Our room was part of the Ambar II which was quite a ways from the beach and next to the quieter pool; 2) upon our arrival we were approached by someone in the lobby asking us to do a 1 hour tour of the property and they would give us a free gift. If we had of known what this would have entailed we would have never agreed to it. They don't give you a 1 hour tour, they take you to the Privilege Lounge and have someone try to sell you time shares. The salesman we were assigned was incredibly pushy and left me feeling not only angry, but leaving the building in tears. It was an awful experience and put a damper on my entire day. I would suggest that people are made aware of what they are getting themselves into when agreeing to do this as it was not made clear to my husband and I. All in all, the resort itself is immaculate and would highly recommend to those who prefer a large property. We enjoyed our vacation very much.

Grand Bavaro Princess: One of the best we have visited

We have had a couple of cruises which we have enjoyed immensely as well as two trips to Cuba, outside of the cruises our stay at the Bavaro Princess was definitely the best all inclusive that we have stayed at. The meals were extremely good with a lot of variety, the grounds were impeccable, the staff very courteous and our suite quite comfortable. The beach would compare to any beaches in the Caribbean especially if you like surf I have no hesitation in recommending this resort to anyone going down for the first time or even to others who have tried other resorts. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: trip central's agent Jack Gentile!!!!!!

Our agent Jack made my trip with my kids fantastic!!! The Be Live collection Canoa was top notch, great staff, beautiful hotel. I excursion was fun to Sanoa island too, booking thru trip central I received way better prices too.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Very nice

The food was excellent. The grounds, rooms were amazing and kept clean. Beach was beautiful and the pools were huge. You did have to go down early in the am to get chairs which I did not like too much. I have stayed at a few Bahia Principe hotels that were small and have always enjoyed the people who work there. I really did not get that opportunity here to meet many.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Great Resort

The VIK Arena Blanca was a good sized resort. The food was good and the staff were friendly. We loved the beach...it was AMAZING. However, it was very much a French speaking resort (entertainment and lessons etc.).

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Huge resort

This resort has 16 buildings so there are a couple of thousand people staying at any one time, lots of pools, we were warned hot to drink the tap water, (which we didn`t), but the four of us still were sick , throwing up, diarrea, service was good, rooms were clean , we were in the newest building, service in the a la carte restaurants was adequate at best, beach was good as was the entertainment team.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Fantastic Resort, Fantastic Time

First time for my sons and I visiting this resort and after what seemed like an incredibly long hockey season (and it was) we were all excited too get away. Once we arrived at the resort (and en-route) service was hands down top notch. Staff in all aspects were phenomenal. The resort itself (and accommodations) were spectacular... Whether you want a day at the ocean with lots of activities or just be around the pool there is plenty to do and see.... Including some great kids activities as well.  [... read more]Be sure to ride the bus up to the water park / soccer field and enjoy a little exercise as well. As far as the dining go's, there are lots of great restaurants on-site with plenty of selection ... Even for the finicky. All in all couldn't have had a better experience... Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

The Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort and Spa is a VERY large resort. There was too much to see in just 7 days!. I guess we will have to go back again and continue exploring!! Service is very very good! Great value vacation!

Occidental Punta Cana: Occidental Grand Puna Canta

There are not enough washrooms located around the resort to accommodate the amount of people. The washrooms were not always in working order especially the women's. We had to fix our toilet in our room several times. Furniture in rooms was well used but apparently it is suppose to be upgraded soon. We could not regular our AC. When entering our room and the AC came on we would get a foul smell. Not sure what is used to water the lawns but it was VERY FOUL SMELLING! We would have to take another  [... read more]route to the beach as the water was laying on the walkways and since we didn't know what it was we did not want to walk through it and get it on us. Beautiful beaches and lots of chairs. Good food and very clean. Friendly staff.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: It was an amazing resort

The service was number " 1 ". Rooms were clean, the resort and beach were kept clean. The staff was amazing , when you wanted something it was done right away. The entire family had a great time. Love , love the resort
