Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good Resort

It was a clean Hotel with friendly staff. The food and air conditioning was good. We arrived in Punta Cana in a good time but the Luggage issues ( the Transfer to Hotel ) and checking in took too long. We changed our room facing the wall and noisy. The reception and Sun Wing Rep. were attentive and helpful. The cleaning lady ,Rosa was nice. The only drawback was the sea leafs which rotten in the sea and piled on the beach. That part of the coastal line got more winds and waves so we had to walk  [... read more]about 10- 15 minutes to reach better. We had a child 6.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

We loved our time at the Bahia Pricipe Ambar....!! The resort grounds are tropical, lush and beautifully landscaped, the beach is immaculate and goes for miles, and the food abundant. Although getting a reservation for the a la carte restaurants for dinners were difficult and I would recommend the a la carte over the buffets for dinners. The buffets were large and had good variety, but the meats were always overcooked. Occidental Punta Cana: Extremely clean

This resort is amazingly clean outside and inside. The food is awesome and tons of variety. Everything is easily within walking distance. The biggest down fall with this resort is the week we were there anyone that got a sunshade on the beach kept it. They would leave personal belongs and towels over night to save it and that was from one end of the beach right through to the other side. We always found a chair and a tree to get under but the resort should be policing this. The shows were average I find them the same everywhere I go I'm not a fan of them at all. The disco was so much fun at the resort we didn't leave the resort to go to Coco Bongo in Bavero but they say that's a good time for $60. There are lots of people tying to sell excursions on the beach they say to book through the resort for everything. The boathouse at the resort has people in red shirts walking around trying to sell you on excursions through them and tell you the other company down on the beach rip you off. We sat all week watching this and come to find out the other company sells cheaper and you get in the same boat at the boat house at the resort, we found this very sneaky. We were a group of six and all had a wonderful time no sickness no waiting in big lines for food. You can't go wrong with this resort.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good value

Check in was not a good experience. The check in lobby for Sunwing guests is not the main lobby. It is a small separate lobby at the front of the resort that is not very pleasant looking so first impressions were not good. We were 4 woman traveling in two rooms. After at least a 30 minute wait we were given rooms with one king bed that were very far from all the amenities of the resort. We the. Went back to the reception area and asked for two beds. we were told that we may need to pay an upgrad [... read more]e to get two beds. Then I had to get firm and asked for the manager. By now it's been over an hour and we are now dealing with a fourth person at the desk. They kept passing us to another staff very unprofessional. Then they told us they were overbooked. So I said we would welcome a transfer to a better resort if they did no t have room for us. Finally we got two rooms in building 5. The door handle was very loose but the rest of the room was decent. Renovated shower area, spacious, good air conditioning and comfortable beds. In speaking with other Sunwing guests they seem to have the same issue. Not sure if the contract is almost over or there is some issue between the resort and Sunwing but throughout the week it felt like we were not getting the same service as other guests booked with other tour operators. Almost like the staff were told to not worry about giving Sunwing guests the best service. The main pool needs maintenance. The grounds were niccly kept. The food was very good. A la carts were very good. Easy to book. No limit on visits. The entertainment was excellent. Great shows. Great animation staff. Dominican people are so friendly. Drinks were good too. Bartenders were always quick and ready to serve you. The beach us too small for the size of the resort though there is room fur a few more palapas and chairs. Vendors were respectful. Time share staff was good too. Not too annoying. We had an incident with one of our travel companions and she had to go to the hospital. Medical staff st the resort were excellent. Quick, efficient. Spoke clear English. Tours were great too. The Sunwing staff at the resort were amazing. So helpful. Great hours to reach them. I have travelled extensively in the Caribbean. I have been to DR 10 times. Cuba, Mexico, Jamaica etc. I would say this resort is good value for the $1140 I paid though I would highly recommend the check in process is investigated and changed. It's not s nice way to start your vacation having to argue with staff to get a decent room. Everyone that checked in with us had the same problem. It's like there were trying to get upgrades from us.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Paradisus at its best!

Perfect holiday at a perfect resort! Best beachfront on Bavaro Beach. Emerald Class (Air Transat) included outdoor jacuzzi tub! Gabi Beach bar, day and night was awesome - especially at night with the lit up tub chairs and tables - "Toes in the Sand"!!!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great vacation !

We had a great vacation at the be live collection resort. Grounds were beautiful staff was very friendly, food was good and the resort was close to the airport. My only complaint would be that the check in took way too long and they wanted my friend and I to share a bed instead of giving us separate beds. In the end we got the separate beds with a beautiful view of the ocean. I would definitely go back to this resort !

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Fantastic resort

Rooms and grounds were very clean and well kept. I feel some staff could have been a little more friendly but all in all they were pleasant.food was great, a large variety. When I booked this resort I thought that the bavaro was an individual resort. Didn't realize that it had many sister resorts attached which makes this a very large resort.i was hoping for something a little smaller.

Occidental Caribe: Great resort

I loved the resort... Lots for everyone to do...casino, beach that goes for miles, parasailing, trapeze, rock climbing, pool.. Great food... People were very friendly...maids did a great job in the room and always added extra coffee and tools for us to use

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury Grande Bahia Prinicpe Ambar

Beautiful resort, but huge. This was our second time to this property, although last year we stayed at the Esmeralda. Buffet food was excellent, a la carte restaurants were a bit of a joke - poor service or poor quantity of food. Long trek to the beach, although we prefer the pool and therefore asked for a building close to the pool - bldg 80 - Great. Would highly recommend this 5 star resort.

Ground , Services,very clean, but buffet food taste the same.This is are secound time there and the food is not good like the first time.Beach is nice but you have to be up at 6:00 am if you want a nice place at the beach.

Occidental Caribe: great value for the dollar

The beach is fantastic, soft sand clear water very little seaweed. The resort is kept clean, food was hit and miss until you find the good locations to eat. The premium alcohol is sometimes kept out of sight but just ask and you will receive. This is an excellent resort I would definitely return.

TRS Turquesa: Fabulous place for a second honeymoon!

We wanted a good, quiet resort and they produced in spades: beautiful room, beach, pool and grounds. Easy access to the rest of the Palladium Resort complex, and a short walk to open air lunch buffet. Staff were friendly and attentive. Meals delicious, and Bavaro Beach did not disappoint: miles of white sandy walking, and a turquoise ocean to cool off in. Totally love the place!

Occidental Caribe: Loved this resort!

Cleanest beach on the strip. Multiple dining options for restaurants and buffets at every meal. Friendly/helful staff, I don't think I passed someone that didn't say hello. Consistent room service. I had a great time.

MINUTES FROM AIRPORT,NICE SPOT TILL YOU GET TO YOUR ROOM, BOOKED FOR THREE BUT ONLY HAD TWO SINGLE BEDS, PLUS CHESTERFIELD,NO PERSON ON DESK OR PHONE TO SPEAK ENGLISH,NO ATEMPT TO MAKE US MORE COMFORTABLE,SAID THIRD PERSON SLEEP ON CHESTERFIELD, NICE HOLIDAY HUSBAND SLEEPED ON CHESTERFIELD,NEEDS TO BE UPDATED OR THINGS FIXED, THEN IT MAYBE A BETTER PLACE TO STAY

Excellence Punta Cana: Lives up to its name!

We stayed at this resort for 7 days and each day, we loved it even more. From the beautiful beach, great restaurants, superb entertainment and excellent service all around makes it difficult to rate this any less than excellent. Probably the best resort experience we have had yet!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Better than I ever imagined!

The adult-only Chic, Punta Cana was the perfect combination of luxury accommodations, extraordinary dining options, delightful and charming staff, and wonderful entertainment. The beach was beautiful, although the waters were a tad rough at times. I can't wait to return to the Dominican Republic, and I won't consider any other resorts.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort can't wait to go back!

We received excellent service from the minute we stepped off the bus from the airport until we departed 7 days later. We initially reserved for Majestic Colonial but were upgraded to Majestic Elegance with a swim up room. We had never been to this resort before so really not sure what the difference between the two are. Loved the beach and never had a problem getting chairs or shade. We were usually at the beach most of the day and would come back to the pool later afternoon. Pool and lounge are [... read more]as are kept clean. It is annoying to see people put their towels on lounge chairs early in the morning to "reserve" them but do not actually use the chairs until mid afternoon. Several times throughout our stay a fruit platter or dessert tray or a bottle of wine were left in our room with a note wishing us well while we stayed at their resort. We received a call from the management team part way through our vacation to make sure everything was okay with our stay. I am a picky eater so will pass on commenting on the food except to say I always found something that I liked to eat. If you are planning on going to the Japanese restaurant make your reservation upon arrival we were not able to get a reservation. One evening the buffet was set up on the beach with entertainment what a beautiful experience. Overall we loved the Majestic Elegance and will definitely be back next year!!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Fantastic resort!

Just came back from a wonderful one week stay with my husband and two kids (7,9). This is our second time at this resort and it was just as good, if not better, then our first visit. The food is unbelievable! So many options both at the buffets and the ala cart restaurants. We made reservations for the restaurants via email before we arrived and I highly recommend this! The Esmeralda has an exclusive, smaller feel which we liked but we ventured to the bigger parts of Baha'i Príncipe a couple of nights (the Michael Jackson show is fantastic- the best impersonator I've ever seen!). This resort if gorgeous, the food is amazing, the pools and grounds are clean and beautiful. Pick this resort! You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I have not gone away in 13 years, so we wanted to ensure we choose wisely. This was a perfect resort for romance and relaxation. We were totally pampered! And the fact that it was adults only was the best.

Hotel was very nice,grounds and pools were beautiful.Beach is heavenly!!!!!Service was wonderful!!!!Staff very friendly and helpful!!!!!Most amazing vacation ever!!!!!would most definitely return to this resort!!!!
