The Reef Coco Beach: Reef Coco Beach Playa del Carmeb
Hotel was small but clean. Beach and swim area were small but sand was clean. Food was average. Buffett food was often not kept warm. Staff was great. Entertainment was weak. Overall value was a 6 out 10. Joe Luz
NYX Hotel Cancun: Another great vacation!
This was our third visit to NYX after being recommended by our Tripcentral advisor Judith. Another great relaxation vacation. If you are looking for a low key Cancun vacation and a smaller resort with great staff, an adult oriented international clientele and good food drink, and hospitality look no further. If you are looking for a party or a family vacation with entertainment for the kiddies look elsewhere.
Garza Blanca Preserve Resort And Spa: Exceptional Food
We had a great time at Garza Blanca. Each of the four restaurants was top notch and the staff was very attentive. The private beach was really excellent too. The whole place was very kid-friendly, but there are quiet spots where adults can find some peace too. It's a bit remote and you can't walk into town, which can be positive or negative depending on what you're looking for. If you're heading into Viejo Vallarta, we suggest using Uber, as it's about half the price of a cab (about $6-7 USD per [... read more]
Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort!
This was a beautiful resort. The grounds were well kept with beautiful flowers. The meals tasted great although there were waits at some alocarts. The entertainment was also great, just a terrible dj at karaoke night. No one stayed. The staff were very mannerly and accomodating. The rooms were very clean. It was a very large resort and although we prefer smaller ones, this is one we would recommend for people wanting a relaxing but entertaining vacation.
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: A great week in Mexico!
We really enjoyed the resort. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable and safe no matter what time of day or night. All the staff were very friendly. We are not resort people so we don't have a lot to compare it to. Speaking to other guests who have stayed at many different resorts, this resort is far superior to many in this price range.
Iberostar Selection Cancun: Amazing resort
I've recently returned from Iberostar Prestige Cancun (room 4511). This was my 8th time to Cancun and by far my favourite hotel. Check-in was a breeze - Ana was extremely friendly and welcoming. Great way to start our trip. We stayed on the prestige side and it was absolutely stunning. We had an ocean front jr suite – brand new room with nice size balcony including a jacuzzi. The maid service was great. There was a button to push beside the door to let them know when you were ready for serv [... read more]
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Vacay!
We spent a week at The Royalton at the end of Feb and it was wonderful. The resort was beautiful and perfect for families. Our son was 23 months and the kids pool area was perfect for him. The water was a great depth and temperature. We had a swim out room which was so perfect for the afternoon swims after nap time. The food was great as well, so many restaurants to pick from. The staff was friendly, cheerful and accommodating. The only comment I would make is that the beach wasn't the [... read more]
NYX Hotel Cancun: A little piece of Heaven
We had a spectacular time at this quaint and hospitable resort. The food and beach were amazing. A new restaurant was just wrapping up construction while we were there so we’ll be excited to go back and try it. Most of the rooms have been upgraded. I recommend staying in one of those if possible. The older ones like we stayed in didn’t have the best a/c, but other than that everything was awesome. Look for “Shrek†at the Beach restaurant and Eddie at the Magic Bar. They will take good ca [... read more]
Grand Palladium Kantenah: 6th time to this wonderful resort
Grand Palladium checks all my boxes! This resort is just beautiful and has it all. Costumer service, clean beautiful rooms, fantastic food and restaurant choices, amazing pools, beautiful beach, lush gardens and well kept groundsThe entertainment and activities are non stop. I have also traveled with adult children ages 25 to 38 who love the resort and my grandchildren who absolutely loved the kids club and activities! There are countless bars and food options. Most people I meet there are repe [... read more]
El Dorado Seaside Suites: Perfect Holiday
One week at El Dorado Seaside Suites wasn’t enough. The days flew by. The resort is beautiful, the food excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything is top-notch. We will definitely be returning.
Grand Palladium Vallarta: 3 stars at best
The positive is that the resort and rooms are clean and the staff are pleasant. Also, the nightly entertainment was good. Outside of that I don’t have many nice things to say. The resort is small, the pools are small, the rooms are tiny. The A/C in the rooms barely worked. There are no elevators anywhere in the resort. The door lock to our bathroom didn’t work. I had to call every day to have the room cleaned as they always forget. When the room was cleaned, they always forgot something. [... read more]
Grand Oasis Cancun: Ha grand o
The trip was very good overall. A lot of stuff has changed. I really do think mtv saved the trip for how much I paid. Couple days our room never got cleaned. Food was pretty good depending where you went.service was really good. Couple swim up bars were closed only 1 swim up bar was open and very packed. Thank you! Trip to Cuba would be awesome!
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great family resort
We loved this resort! Huge pools, amazing fresh buffet food with so much selection. Amazing weather and beautiful grounds! Evening entertainment was good too. Lots to do at the resort. Our kids loved the trolly rides too.
Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Amazing resort
Loved the resort , very clean, nice staff, entertaining at the beach and pool was awesome. Food was very good , really like the French restaurant and steak house, and rock cafe. Lots of walking depending where you are in the resort but there is small golf cart to bring you where you want. Would recommend.
Breathless Riviera Cancun: Do not waste your money
Party hotel do not go here. We were so desperate to leave I tried to go home early but no help from anyone. I felt like I was being held hostage. I am going to leave it at that. The people were good though
Riu Flamingos: Great resort!
Overall I thought the resort was great!! SUPER clean grounds, there’s a ton of staff and never a speck of dirt anywhere. Rooms were ok, I didn’t have hot water in the shower but that wasn’t a huge deal to me so I didn’t complain. AC worked ok, it was a bit damp but we were barely in the room. Food and drinks were awesome!! The mojitos were my favourite and my hubby loved the ceasers. The a la cartes were ok but we preferred the buffet. I didn’t find the staff as friendly as other place [... read more]
Grand Riviera Princess: Kid-friendly, family-oriented resort
This is our 2nd time at this resort. The hotel has several pools, has a kids club with splash pad and park. There is an amazing beach and you can walk for miles in both sides. The evening shows cater to the kids. There are Disney themed live shows which are quite good. They had a magician doing magic tricks at your table during breakfast and a really cool ice cream parlour. The rooms were very large. We had bunk beds with a trundle bed which fit my family of 5. Really fantastic resort for a fami [... read more]
Excellence Riviera Cancun: Why isn't this resort a 5*?
From the bellman and the front desk lady who greeted us by name on arrival with moist towels, cold champagne and warm smiles, to our lovely room with a long stem red rose on the bed and an ice bucket with more champagne and fruit, our stay was the BEST for quality of food, accommodation and service in over 35 years of travel to this area. I would feel confident in recommending it to anyone. All my room requests were met plus an emailed one for a possible close-to-the-beach location. Fabulous!
Paradisus Playa del Carmen: A great week!
Our week at this beautiful and luxurious 5-star resort was a pleasure from beginning to end. Big, bright rooms; delicious and plentiful choices of food and beverages; and very friendly staff. The resort was beautiful and large and fun to roam around with a drink in hand. Our friends were there with their kids and they had a ton to be entertained with! When we needed a break from the kids, we simply hung out at La Perla, the adults only side. The food was delicious, and we were mostly impressed w [... read more]
Royal Hideaway Playacar: Stunning Resort
This resort is truly a 5 star. The rooms are beautiful and large. The beach has white sands and the water is different shades of turquoise. I have never seen and been in such clear and clean water. The service is outstanding, very polite and helpful. We did tip a lot but it never seemed expected. The infinity pool was a lot of fun and we participated in the water fit held at noon which was so fun and the music was peppy and made you want to dance in the water. The meals were so delicious, espe [... read more]
