Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort

Great hotel rooms food and entertainment. Beach area at ocean needed cleaning but pools are super clean amazing thanks. Service is very friendly in the restaurant , lobby and transportation. Very nice weather, nice and sunny. Very clean resort and taken care lawn very clean and fresh . We had great time!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Pretty good

Check-in was fast and well organized. Staff was informative and helpful, escorting us to our room and bringing luggage. Rooms are large and the room service staff do a good job with cleaning and turn-down. Bathrooms are nice, but lack the finish and trim of a 5 star resort. Showers are good size and water pressure is good. Food is average resort fare, with good variety. Service seemed hit-and-miss. There are a few really good servers in the main dining room. A la carte restaurants are not 5 s [... read more]tar except for Don Pablo. Gym is ok. No treadmills which seemed strange. Spa staff is great, and the relaxation massage was really nice. Pools are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Choice of quiet or party pool is nice. Very sparse drink service at the pools. You will have to get up and go get your drink. Keep in mind the resort is a 1.5hr bus ride from PUJ airport.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Royalton Bavaro was beautiful!

An amazing resort, with well manicured grounds, multiple pools, beautiful beach, a fun lazy river, lots of activities for young and old, and delicious food. Staff was friendly and always ready to help you when you needed it.

Riu Bambu: Amazing resort!

This hotel was absolutely stunning! The rooms were spacious and clean. We were in villa 20 which was close to everything. The pools were clean and well maintained, we never had to fight for a lounger. The restaurants were all wonderful and the food was delicious. The nightly entertainment was great. My kids really enjoyed Riuland and the nightly entertainment for the kids was wonderful.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Hotel

A lovely resort. Not too big so everything very close. Pool is wonderful with sloping entry which makes it very easy for children and people with disabilities to enter. Staff very attentive and followed through quickly on any requests. Great sandy beach but water a little murky and quite a lot of garbage floating in it - sea very warm. Enjoyed long walks along the beach early in the morning, before it got too hot.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Great Resort

I had a great time. weather was perfect. I went to join a wedding party that left before me. Even that I went as a single person I had a beautiful time. I saw how the Family areas were separated for some more adult areas. The preferred package was worth the upgrade. I went for beautiful and relaxing time and that is what I got. The food was good and the staff were friendly with me.......I would go again

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: More than expected!!

Golf coarse was in great shape!!Hotel staff was more then helpful in every way. The room was very spacious and clean. The view was excellent. Staff stopped in every night to make sure nothing was required for an excellent night. The grounds were very clean . Overall a must return is in order!! Golfing was great but cart rentals were expensive 75$US. Once again I would like to thank all barcelo bavero palace staff for a very much needed fabulous vacation!! Thank you

Occidental Caribe: Good Resort

Rooms need to be updated but were clean. Bed was fine..only complaint...maids have to have checklists..almost every day we had to ask for something..towels,soap, minifridge. We found all staff friendly..no complaints.. Food ..ok..you wont go hungry..just more variety needed. Bars..awesome..

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Amazing staff, nice resort!

Had a great stay at Be Live this past week. Food was excellent, staff were amazing, grounds were fairly clean, and room was OK. The room was very outdated (not like the photos online) and had a musty smell. The grounds on the resort were very nice. The main pool was a little dirty.. lots of sand in the pool. The staff made the trip the best it could be. Champagne and Eddy Murphy were absolutely amazing!! Very nice resort for young people, lots of activites to do.. maybe not the best for relaxing [... read more]. Overall nice and i would go back.

Paradisus Punta Cana: VERY NICE HOTEL

HOTEL VERY WELL KEPT. GROUNDS CLEAN AND ROOMS VERY WELL SERVICES. FOOD GENERALLY FINE BUT COULD USE A LITTLE IMPROVING. DRINKS EXCELLENT AND PLENTIFUL 2 SHOWS WE SAW WERE EXCELLENT. bUTLER SERVICE WAS NOT A BIG DEAL THE REST OF ROYAL SERVICE WAS GOOD AND THE LOUNGE WAS EXCELLENT.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Ok RESORT HIDDEN COSTS PROBLEMS ON ROOM

JUST CAME BACK DEC 3RD AFTER ONE WEEK. Did not meet room requirements, had to change rooms 2 times finally got reasonable room after arguing at Reception for 2 hours. Still did not get what we paid for Superior Gardenview Room not on ground floor, the first room we looked at the balcony looked onto a Tennis Court, this was not Superior Room, the second room was on ground floor looking onto a BAR with tables and chairs, not appealing, JOANNE at Reception did little to cooperate to help  [... read more]us just said Travel Agent did not give proper instructions TOTALLY WRONG, I was there in travel office when form submitted. Joanne said what do we want, we said what we paid for, she said no rooms available Resort full WRONG, the resort was 50% full after being there a couple of days. The Bellman heard the conversation and said he knew of empty rooms available which we took but still not SUPERIOR in our opinion, Joanne should have know this (they have computers) just being a difficult person should not be in that job. Wanted to speak with Manager about accommodations, would not come out to speak with us, totally unprofessional, rude and disrespectful of paying Guest just was hiding in his/her office, BED BUG BITES mattress too old and standard of cleanliness not there. Found out later other Guest complained too and mattress was changed and room fumigated. BEWARE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WIFI VERY EXPENSIVE $9.00 USA A DAY AND ONLY AVAILABLE AT POOL. SAFE COST $4.50 USA A DAY, OLD STYLE WITH KEY . ONLY give you 1 pass card to get into your room Ridiculous!! No umbrellas at Beach only in VIP SECTION. NO extra security lock on room door had maid walk into room when sleeping . General Staff at eating areas , bar etc always helpful and smiling. Grounds well maintained. Pool large and clean. Lots of new chairs around pool. Food very good ,but small buffet. Beach nice sandy and clean but little shade other than some trees, no umbrella's. Unless the OWNERS give management skills to certain staff definitely would not go back and upgrade the mattresses.

Secrets Royal Beach: Wow

Started by a great experience at trip central with Tammy templeton in respect to all booking arrangements. The whole trip went great. Resort food was great, no complaints. Service was fantastic, no complaints. Resort and room cleanliness was also great. Rooms cleaned early unlike other resorts that take till 5 pm to clean rooms, no complaints at this one. We loved everything about this resort except the fact that smoking is everywhere and no way to get away from it and as usual, smokers do [... read more]n’t give a crap so in today’s day and age, there should be some areas designated as some other resorts.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful Time at Cofresi

Had an amazing vacation at Cofresi Resort and Spa. Loved the beach and beautiful pools. Cannot say enough about the food at the al a cartes. Really enjoyed the Mexican and Italian restaurants. Booking the junior suites is advised, we stayed in the standard rooms which are very basic, but we are never in our room so unimportant to us. Drawback of hotel is the very aggressive time share people but just be firm and say no. They will try to tell you that they are giving you a tour but they dri [... read more]ve you right to the hard sell meeting centre. Also hotel charges $200 if you lose your wrist band and as you would know it, my husband lost his in the ocean. Spent most of our final day trying to find it. In all years of travelling never have had this happen.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Nov26-Dec3

I have stayed here many times the staff is really good the food is not five star but it is good every time I go there l meet people from all over the world young old and in between. A must to do is go down to so Sosua beach the people will try to sell you things but all you have to say is no even some girls on the street will try.

Grand Palladium Palace: A nice resort but:

We are retired pensioners and found the shower very hard ( and dangerous ) to get in and out of as it is located in the Jacuzzi and it was also very slippery. The food was o.k. The staff were excellent and most speak passable English although we were constantly pestered by some staff trying to sell massages, parasailing, etc. Staff were very attentive and bar service was excellent. I would not recommend this place for older people because of the showers.

Excellence El Carmen: Excellence El Carmen was excellente!

Just returned home from a wonderful week holiday at the Excellence El Carmen with three couples. We have travelled to a lot of all inclusives resorts and by far this one was superior! Staff and service was excellent. Food was delicious, plentiful and there were so many options of a la carte restaurants to choose from. No reservations required and we had no problems at all getting into all the restaurants. Plenty of towels and beach & pool chairs available. Tipping was welcomed but you did  [... read more]not feel if you did not tip all the time that service would be compromised. Entertainment was very good and offered something for everyone every night. The karoke night was so much fun. This resort was top notch! I highly recommend this resort! We will return :)

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Pleasantly surprised

This resort I would return to, for sure! I liked this smaller resort. The rooms were clean and well cared for, staff friendly, the beach is beautiful, and, though the vendors are plentiful, they weren’t too pushy. The massage on the beach was worth it! I liked the pool volleyball, beach volleyball and yoga options! The food was good! The workers were always busy keeping the grounds neat and tidy! Public bathrooms very clean. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good value

The buildings and grounds were comparable to a five star. Staff are constantly working hard to keep this place spotless and up to date. Staff is very kind but most don't speak English. The food was good, as was the beach and pools. I can't complain about this place.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: 5 stars indeed, but lacking beach front

Everything in terms of grounds inspire a top of the line resort. Gardens, rooms cleanliness and dining room. Unfortunately, we didn't find the vacation were looking for. And this is because the hotel is so far away from the beach that you either walk some good 10-15 minutes or forced to wait in designated spots for a golf cart to take you there. The beach is confined for adult only, but super crowded. Chair to chair, hundreds of them, people close to each other, no privacy at all. If you get by [... read more] 8 am, chances are that you don't see the ocean at all, as available chairs are far back. There is no bar service on the beach. In the area allocated to Aquamarine we did not see any waitress taking orders, during our stay ... So not very 5 stars service. Another turn down is the expensiveness, from the lobby stores to the excursions. Mercantilism of the resort is something that stroked me from the beginning. For this reason I am out, and not returning to that place. Bahia Principe in Punta Cana is a complex of seven huge resorts, therefore the beach allocation is very limited. If you are a beach type of vacationer, find other places. Cuba is awesome!!! For a budget.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Even better the second time!!!

It was hard to believe, but it was better. And as far as we were concerned the first time we were at this resort, we thought it was amazing then. But they have added to the restaurant on the beach, were we would go for the luncheon buffet. They added onto to the lounge pass the lobby with additional indoor and outdoor seating. The food was great at the dining room (buffet) but they also had 6 a la carte restaurants. We went to Portofino, Italian which was lovely. Food was good as well as  [... read more]the atmosphere. We were booked into the Rodizio, Brazilian, but never made it. Entertainment was wonderful - the Michael Jackson show as well as a marvellous tenor, his voice was amazing and then there was the guitarist from Venezula. He did a song of Santana, and you thought it was the original. There was a Studio 57 night, with great music and everyone was up dancing to the likes of Saturday Night Fever etc. The bar staff was great, a shout out to Jorge - can't wait to see him again. Room was lovely and always kept spotless. As for the beach and the ocean, it was spectacular - you could walk for miles. We took bread into the ocean near the coral and the show of colourful fish was great. Our agent Candice Anger had us in the Golden Club and we were checked into our room at the airport with our bracelets and our room was ready when we got there - with our beach towels in the room. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. Cannot wait to go back.
