Melia Marina Varadero: It is not same resort

When I booked this hotel, I couldn't get the information about 'Melia Marina Varadero Apartment'. It was different condo. It also good. Nice view, pool. But, Cooking facillity was too simple, heating machine was bad

Palma Real: Average

Grounds, pools, public area & main restaurant were good or even better. Rooms were very inferior; our room had black full of mildew ceiling around A/C system, we got sick with green mucus every morning.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Had its moments

When we first checked in at 1030pm we were given our key hauled our luggage to room 1309 where we find our room card was not loaded had to return to get it right. The room smelled like the humidity and our air conditioning worked but barely. Our fridge did not work at all. We found the people in the buffet were wonderful however the front desk were very rude and did not care if we were helped or not. We had a bar tender in the pool bar completely ignore us. All in all this is not a 4 star it is a 3 Star and will not return

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Beautiful Resort, People and Country

Travelled February 27 to March 5, 2016 with nine friends. Arrived late for check in which was smooth and fast. Deluxe rooms are fairly large and clean (maids did a fabulous job) - loved the shower (great hot water and pressure) - only complaint would be lumpy beds but we just slept the other way LOL. Recommend bringing your own tea, coffee and whitener to enjoy in the morning on terrace/patio. Evening entertainment at the theatre was great - amazing dancers. Lobby bar and piano bar made the best drinks. The ladies at Mike's Coffee Bar were amazing and friendly. Pool was clean; however, lots of broken sun beds. Gardens and landscape are beautiful. Food was good - especially at the buffet - lots of variety. Will visit Varadero again but stay in a resort closer to town for the restaurants, night life, etc.

Hotel Bella Costa: Awesome Vacation

Clean environment, very friendly staff, really good variety of food. When visiting Cuba, people should not expect the same type of accomodations as visiting the USA..Be sure to carry your electricity converters.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Unfortunately we would not recommend this resort

First and foremost we are not picky people. We have been to Cuba twice before this trip. In our opinion This not a 5 star resort . Part of the beach is rocky, also there is rock/coral under the water. Bring water shoes. If you like to snorkel, this not the place for you, unless you book a snorkel excursion. There is no beach B.B.Q. We ate at two ala cartes, gourmet was nice and oriental was below average. We did not try the Italian as we heard nothing but negatives. We usually would go every night after dinner we chose to miss a few nights. We did not get the friendly feeling that others claim. Check in staff really need a course in customer service. Room was nice and kept clean by Jacqueline. Thank you. Unfortunately we would not recommend this resort. We really felt management was lacking at leading staff.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Great resort!

Really enjoyed the resort, great location, very good service, great food, clean rooms. Was pleasantly surprised with what I had heard from Cuba. Would go again anytime with friends and family. Thank you for a great week!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great beach

The resort and rooms were somewhat dated (and different from the website pictures); the beach was fabulous; there was no free internet and a converter was needed for plug in's; staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was kept clean; food was okay and variety was more than we expected.

Sol Varadero Beach: Ok hotel terrible food

Large clean rooms, non working fridge, kind staff, facilities included gym, nice hotel grounds. Noisy as any Cuban resort. Awesome beach. Check in was very slow didnt get our room till 4pm TERRIBLE food.

Club Kawama: Excellent value in a resort!

This resort exceeded my expectations. Food really was amazing, in fact, better than any 4 star resort I have been to in other countries. Except for loosing a few items because of my beach walks and urban exploring, I had the trip of a lifetime!

Hotel Los Cactus: Not so all inclusive

The good: The beach, the weather, and the people. The bad: The food. The ugly: power interruptions, hot water shortages, toilets backing up in the dining hall. Scuba and snorkelling NOT included & very expensive.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Wonderful resort

Staff and management made us all feel very welcome and went out of their way as we celebrated a very special 55th wedding anniversary with family. Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend to a friend., vey

Club Kawama: Don't listen to the bad reviews! Great trip

Seriously, don't listen to the bad reviews, just keep in mind that this is a 3 star resort. I traveled with my boyfriend from feb.19-26th, 2016. Yes, the main buffet is closed but no, the walk is really not that far and we were put in the exact opposite corner of the resort. I think the longest it could possibly take a reasonably fit person is maybe 10 minutes. If you have health or mobility issues, request something closer. We had a standard room that was small but kept really clean during our  [... read more]entire stay. The pools are beautiful and the beach is absolutely amazing. The bars all make amazing drinks, lobby bar especially! (please bring your own reusable cup if you can! so much waste with all the plastic cups and straws). The '24hr' snacks not so great... they're available at the pool bar and are strictly ham and cheese sandwiches that have been pre-made. The main buffet is pretty small so they don't always have the best options, but the food is good. I'm a vegetarian and survived the whole week so you probably can too. If you don't want to deal with long lines at the buffet go about half an hour after they open and you won't have to worry. If you go right when they open don't be surprised if you have to wait and don't be annoying and complain about it. The staff were all great and always friendly. Please tip if you can, it really does make a difference to them and the whole time we were there it didn't seem like anyone was even leaving a peso for them. Also, don't worry about the dogs or cats. There's a small handful that are around and they all stay out of the way but are also very approachable and fairly clean. Overall, we really enjoyed our trip! Just keep in mind if you don't want to deal with these small issues pay extra and go somewhere else. Happy traveling!

The grounds were being worked on while we were there, the food was great, drinks delicious, great entertainment, the beach was absolutely gorgeous,showers were not in abundance of water friendly staff

Resonance Blu Varadero: Worst vacation ever

Hotel was way to big. Rooms were dirty and bathroom flooded. Beds were so uncomfortable. Food was gross. Every time you walked up to the bars to get a drink all you could smell was throw up and poop. Waste of money

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Beautiful family vacation

The hotel is in a bit of need of repair but was still beautiful. We spent a fantastic week enjoying this beautiful resort. The beach was the best we have ever been to, the food was good, the staff were beyond friendly and helpful, the sunwing folks were very nice and were always available and the cleaning ladies were great always making sure we had water for the baby. Grand Memories Varadero: Great Resort

Grand Memories is a nice resort but the rooms are a little tired. We liked the variety of a la carte restaurants, the entertainment and staff were all very good. You have to remember it is Cuba and standards are not the same as Canada but we enjoyed the food and services, paying for the Diamond Club upgrade was worthwhile. The beach is lovely.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Fantastic Stay!

We stayed 5 days at this fabulous resort. Diamond Club privileges were certainly worth the Premium, namely the friendly and extremely helpful Butlers. Shout outs to Illiana and Isaac and Carlos for their efforts and charm. All staff were approachable and knowledgeable. The Beach was second to none. Night time shows and activities were easy to come by, and the food was quite tasty with a good variety. Would definitely return.

Memories Jibacoa: Wonderful Vacation

This was our first visit to Cuba and we had a wonderful vacation. We were with another couple who had been to Cuba on a couple of other occasions and they said that this was the best resort so far. Always something to do (or not if you chose to just relax). We all agreed that we would definitely return to this resort as it was perfect for what we were looking for.

Sol Varadero Beach: Dump!!!

We stayed on the Coral side for one night and moved to a new resort. The resort is rundown. There are also abandoned buildings in the middle of the resort. This was our fourth time in Cuba and this was by far the worst.
