Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Beautiful location

You can't go wrong with Bahia properties, nice friendly staff, good food,clean rooms,large pools, nice clean beach,yes the property is huge but there is never any lineups or long waits. I will defiantly be returning here.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Top Notch Resort

The Bahia Principe Ambar is a great resort, we really enjoyed our 10 day stay in February 2016. This was our second visit to Bahia Principe, it's a huge complex with lots to do, good entertainment and shopping on site. The food was fantastic, lots of choice in type of food and restaurants, beach-side, near the lobbies and pools. The grounds and beach are immaculate and rooms well kept. We also visited the 4 sister resorts in the complex where children are allowed and while noisier, it was still nice everywhere we went :-) The only minor complaint we had is that to get a lounge at the pool or beach in the morning you had to get up really early and go out and put your towel down. We didn't do that, just took our chances and most times we got 2 lounges together after about a 15 minute search but we did find it annoying to see that some people left their stuff reserving lounges and didn't even sit on them until the afternoon which denied those lounges to someone else. We've been to over 20 Caribean resorts and this one is among the top resorts. We will definitely go back here again and will consider other Bahia Principe hotels as well.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Exceptional Resort

3rd time to this amazing resort and once again we were not disappointed. Staff are amazingly friendly and always ready to assist you in any way. Grounds are exceptionally clean. Food is amazing with many options to choose from. Rooms are spacious with all the amenities one would expect from a true 5 star resort.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Another Amazing Week at Ocean Blue and Sand Resort

We have just returned from our 11th visit to OB&S. Our trip was booked three days before take-off by the very efficient and friendly Tracy at the Trip Central Dundas office. Everything went perfectly with our Air Transat flight out of Hamilton and we arrived 30 minutes early going both ways. Arriving at the Ocean Blue resort we were greeted with hugs and kisses from the many staff members who remember us from year to year. Our butler Alfredo made reservations for the Japanese restaurant on the first night and it was excellent as always. Reservations were not needed at the other restaurants because we prefer to eat between 6:00-6:30 and there were never any line-ups at that time. Food was always excellent and beautifully presented. We only used the buffets for breakfast and lunch and it was also very good with a large selection to choose from. We participated in many of the activities at the pool during the day. In the evening we played bingo in the lobby, went to the shows in the theatre and danced to the live music later on. The two enormous pools are fabulous and we were happy to see that work is being done to stop the beach erosion.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Excellent Resort

This was a very wonderful resort. It was very clean and the selection of food was great - you can always find something to eat. Three pools and lots of chairs on beach. Beach was wonderful and you could walk for miles.

Grand Palladium Palace: Very nice resort

Lovely grounds, nice remodelled rooms, good selection of food in buffet, and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only problem was getting in & out of the bathtub (or shower) which was poorly designed, and caused flooding on the floor, which in turn becomes a safety issue....could be dangerous! Other than that everything was great.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: ok

This resort scored amazingly high on trip advisor. After being there, I realize it isn't all that they contend it is. I'm not sure if TripAdvisor has some sort of deal worked out with the Now Larimar but every employee seemed to have TripAdvisor cards on them and consistently harassed us to write excellent reviews on the TA site. Between that and the high pressure tactics of the time share crew, the harassment never ended. Even when people were eating, staff would approach requesting they write [... read more] high praised reviews of this resort. The resort is VERY dated and is in extreme need of lots of TLC. The grounds are well manicured though and it is easy to navigate. Food is OK but far from great ! Wait times and service was hit and miss. Even noticed cockr oaches crawling around at the buffet. Gross ! I have been to Punta Cana 6 times and can honestly say that I have been to lowered ranked resorts that were way better. All in all I would not return and would recommend others to look elsewhere. As much as TripAdvisor rates this resort as extremely high, it seems the Now Larimar is pressuring staff to get guests to bump up its standing on their site. Not a top 25 resort in my opinion !

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: AMAZING RESORT

BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS, CLEAN POOLS , GREAT FOOD , FRIENDLY STAFF. Beds and pillows were too hard.Difficulty booking a la carte restaurants but buffet food was very good.Drinks were very good and bartenders were a eager to suggest a drink if you were unsure of what you would like .

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good 3.5

Service would be the weak spot, front desk could use more people. If you paid for VIP there is a separate check-in, in that section but was not directed there? Purchased through Sunwing a adults only VIP standard room - resort advised that standard rooms did not exist in the adult only sections so was in regular section although we could enter the adults only and family VIP area. I have queried Sunwing about why I was sold a room in adults only section that didn't exist but I haven't had a respo [... read more]nse. Many individuals offering fantastic service others who don't care just like Canada! Close to airport. Long beach - lots of chairs - if guests didn't reserve spots - frustrating sitting in the sun without shade well all the shady spots are covered with towels with no people. Enjoy modern feel to be live concept.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Good vacation

Was a little nervous about going after reading many bad reviews. Wasn't near as bad as some people say. Great beach, nice grounds, excellent staff but dated buildings. Renovations apparently starting soon. Good resort can be a great resort with some much needed renovations.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Really nice vacation

Clean room, good food, friendly staff, amazing beach, nice pools, great music and show all around. Very much enjoyed my time there. A few things that could use improvements: Not enough beach chairs with shades so we went early in the morning to reserve them with towels everyday. There is a construction next door, our room was overlooking the construction site which was annoying at first since I requested "quiet room". We were on vacation with family and their room amenities had some issues (fridge and safe didn't work). You can request to have your room moved, it takes some time so that's not ideal. Our room had the shower head fall off so we had to get that fixed. Excursions: we booked horseback riding which was fantastic. But, the transportation there and back was not fun time. Open back of a diesel truck so you're breathing the smell the whole time. yuk Our resort was the first pick up spot and last drop off. Ask the travel agent about transportation if you're sensitive about air/smell. Make sure to make al la carte reservations ASAP, they fill up quick. Go to evening shows in theatre which were very entertaining. They also have kids shows.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: an Amazing Resort

This is the resort you want to go to for fun, food and relaxation. The service was incredible. The food was to die for. Juan that work in the buffet restaurant was fantastic. Overall no complaints what so ever. We will defiantly go back. Teresa from Trip Central was an amazing agent to deal with. ***Sorry.........1 complaint..........the Representative from Air Transat was very unreliable and had terrible service from him.

TRS Turquesa: Spoiled rotten

We upgraded to a Cabana and it was awesome. The staff at the hotel are dedicated and friendly. The food is great, entertainment a bit samey though. Really clean place, gorgeous gardens, lovely beach. We really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants - the Spanish and French especially.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

I would recommend the Majestic Colonial, the food, the grounds, staff are impeccable. It was a great week. The colonial club is worth the extra expense. Our butler David went the extra mile and so compassionate. The beach is beautiful and the setting. There is something for all ages.

Ancora Private Residence Yacht Club and Marina: Very Good Resort

Quiet, Clean, Small Beach, Very relaxing atmosphere, good food and drink. I would recommend to all. Staff was very friendly, polite and courteous. Punta Cana Airport was very clean and efficient. Short drive from Airport to Resort (10 minutes or less)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Loved it!

We had a fabulous vacation at Ambar from March 7-13. Rooms and grounds were immaculate. Beautiful scenery. Excellent service and delicious food! Only complaint is lack of lounge chairs at pool and beach unless you get up at 5 am to go "reserve" one by putting a towel on it.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Beautiful clean, good sized resort.

Really enjoyed this resort, very clean, great service, excellent beach and pools. Go colonial if you don't have kids. Food so so but always something to eat, premium booze. I would return to the Majestic. Weather was great Feb 29-Mar7.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Fantastic, Clean, Friendly Resort

Everything was great, just hope there were more pool organized activities for kids and adults alike. Otherwise it was perfect. Very clean beach, lots of sitting areas. Did not like the forced sales pitch at the resort.

IFA Bavaro Village: Needs some upgrades

The Beach was so beautiful!! The rooms were very dated and are in need of some major upgrades. 2 out of 3 couples had issues with their air conditioning. One couple might have had 4 days out of 14 which they had air conditioning in their room. The pool was always really dirty with garbage. One day the pool fountain shot out black stuff that smelled like sewage.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Excellent resort

This was our second trip to this resort, that in itself says a lot. Fantastic food and drink service. Grounds, rooms and building were spotless. No signs of mosquitos :) Probably due to how clean the place is kept. People extremely friendly and helpful. Management available and helpful. Pool large and clean, lots of chairs and areas where you could stay at the pool but out of the sun, if you wanted to. Other activities, pool, tennis, golf, ping pong all close by .
