Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Average All inclusive Resort

The hotel is a little dated but is generally in good condition. The buffet was reasonable but light on bacon, and they always had some stuff to make tacos, but never all in one place. The kids program was great. The beach access wasn't that good because we couldn't eat at the Akumal beach area so we couldn't stay there all day and the beach sand was a little rough. I was told that I had access from Coba to the Tequila restaurants, but we weren't able to access them. First impression was not very good, The hôtel is old and not renovated. The front desk appears not very welcoming at first. But the first few hours at the pool changed our mind. Very friendly staff. Everyone was happy to serve us. Spoke with other guest who also had the same impression as us. Very clean. Buffet was very good with a lot of choices.

This is our second time at Secrets Plays Blanca. June 2025 and January 2026 This hotel is a true 5 star luxury hotel. Staff is in abundance to cater to your every needs. We are foodies so we found the food choices somewhat limited. Thank you Robyn

Occidental Cozumel: Going To Cozumel? Pick Another Resort!

We have vacationed extensively throughout the Caribbean—including previous trips to Cozumel—and unfortunately, this recent stay ranks near the bottom of any resort experience we have had. We arrived late afternoon on Wednesday, January 28, and checked into Royal Level Building 21, Room 2126. From the moment we arrived until our checkout on February 4, we had no hot water in our room. Not once during our entire stay was this resolved. Customer Service & Response January 29–30: We repeatedl [... read more]y spoke with Royal Level staff and were told each day that the issue “was being fixed” and would be resolved “in a couple of hours.” January 30: After no progress, we approached a manager (Abigail) at the front desk. She again stated it “was being fixed” but could not provide an ETA. When we expressed concern—particularly given the extra cost of Royal Level—her response was, “What do you want me to do?” She then suggested we “speak to Air Canada to see if they’ll move you to a different resort.” Her tone was dismissive and unhelpful. February 2: At 10:00 a.m., all water to the whole resort was shut off entirely. We were told it would be out for four hours. Although it was turned on by dinner, we still had no hot water For the remainder of the week, we continued checking with Royal Reception for hot water and were repeatedly told staff were “working on it,” yet we saw no evidence that the issue was being addressed. Food & Dining The food was mixed at best. Buffet options for lunch and dinner were bland and repetitive. The à la carte restaurants were acceptable, but nothing exceptional. Overall Quality We spoke with several returning guests who told us that the quality and service at Occidental Cozumel have been declining steadily over recent years. Based on our experience, we agree. Conclusion Between the complete lack of hot water, poor handling of our concerns, inconsistent food quality, and overall decline in service, we cannot recommend this property. We will not be returning.

stay was january 30-february 6,2026 ocean front view- old but decent and clean , ZERO entertainment, nothing to do after 9:30pm- food is okay with black bracelet nothing great even the à la cartes, if u are blue bracelet good luck cuz your food options are horrible!, no servers for drinks,always line ups at bars, a lot of walking for nothing, pools are boring not enough chairs for the amount of guests… don’t bother for the money there are better options

El Cid La Ceiba Cozumel: Great Week

Pretty Hotel on the smaller size as advertised and there is no real beach. its a 10 MIN and $10 dollar US cab ride to downtown. Room was good and very clean and the bed is a queen and was comfortable with a nice sea view and small balcony. The bathroom is on the smaller side but nice flow of hot water in the shower. We did the all inclusive so meals were in the one restaurant. Had no complaints about the food, the drinks were great and the staff is very friendly and very helpful. It was early February and the pool was very cold. There is a hot tub and small gym tor use. My complaint is the entrance stairs into the ocean are ridiculous. Steep, slippery and one of the rails to hold onto is broken. Looks like it has been this way for a long time. Watching people go down the stairs looked treacherous especially because it was windy We managed to go in on the other side of the small beach by holding on hard to the wood railing. Nice snorkeling all around, plenty of fish to see. There are 3 to 4 large cruise ships very close by that come everyday starting at 7am to 6 pm. So if you don't like your sea view partially blocked then not the place for you. Also there were cruise passengers that came to the hotel for the day. The weather wasn't ideal so there weren't too many.

Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres All Suite Resort: Amazing RESORT

The beach was awesome , you could walk for miles on the sand. Staff at the facility , excellent always smiliing and pleasant. Food superb and plenty of it! Accomodations - roomy and lots of space - never felt crowdwed! Ranked it high

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Disappointed

Colonial - Disappointing The beach in front of the Colonial/Kantenah is beautiful as is the pool area. The rooms are dated, we had our room door left open by cleaning staff which was unacceptable; luckily our belongings were fine and the safe untouched. The buffet food was cold at times and the variety from day to day was lacking. They had two great a lacartes; the Japanese and the Steak House which we enjoyed. The beach bar was washing the plastic cups by spraying quickly putting them back into the rotation as the beach waiters quickly went around and picked up the empty cups from the guests. That doesn’t sit well especially at a time of viruses etc. Cleanliness was not always trustable. Overall it was a disappointing experience given it was a third visit based on more enjoyable shows and better food and overall service. The evening shows were few and far between; although they did have some kiddie shows at 8:00 a few Nights.

El Cid Resort Castilla: AWESOME

While traveling to the Resort a few passengers were drop off at there Hotel and 1st thought there in the middle of no where.But that changed.What an excellent location.Great walking to shops and restaurants full grocery store with wine shop across the road. You could not ask for anything more.I,m hoping for another Elite GREAT DEAL for Feb/27.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Great resort

Nyx hotel Cancun is smaller resort in the hotel district, very clean grounds, rooms are clean and modern, if you get a room on the lagoon side it can be noisy with traffic noise very busy road, the food is fantastic lots of variety and the drinks did not disappoint the staff are helpful and friendly there are a few flights of steps from the main lobby bar area to get down the main pool and beach

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Nice all round Experience

This was our second stay with Grand Decameron in Bucerias. We were a little surprised when the vibrant building colors from last year were more muted this year. Again, we booked into an adults-centric block of 5 or 6. That was good for our requirements, and we could wander over to the other Blocks and Pools for a more lively and upbeat ambience. The rooms in Block 6 seemed more refreshed than last year. Maid service was prompt and friendly. However JAP JAP resto had each of the courses served looking suspiciously like the previous course. We actually saw 2 tables leave after the second course and went to dine elsewhere. This year, being able to book the ala carte restos online was a welcome upgrade. However for our last two days onsite, our registration mysteriously disappeared from the reservation system, so we had to resort to the old standard standing in line for making your restaurant reservation. All in all, we would definitely consider coming back here.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort and staff.

Great resort, landscaping and staff. After staying here at the Grand Coba at least 5 times over the last 20 years, the food quality has diminished with several food stations empty and the same food selections daily. Al Le carte restaurants are near impossible to book as members of the more expensive resorts on the property are allowed advanced bookings prior to arrival. We were only able to book 2 out of the less popular al le cartes out of 4 on our 10 day holiday visit. That said we still en [... read more]joyed the resort and staff during our stay.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Not so good

Flys in bathroom they never dealt with , safe would not work -door lock broke - had to ask for towels and face cloths for the room .getting a lounger around the pool was impossible as people were reserving them the night before . Food was ok pretty mundane tho - couldn't get an ala carte as people were reserving them at 4am - drinks were watered down the kaluha tasted like watered down vanilla- rooms are very dated need renovation for sure

Allegro Cozumel: Did not think this resort is close to a four star

The grounds were well kept and easy to get around the staff are very friendly and helpful the waitress at pool and beach are excellent and they were easy together along with the bartenders at the lobby bar did not seem so good as at the beach the food on the breakfast and dinner buffet was not kept hot lunch buffet was much better had Italian dinner and was not impressed overall this is a nice resort and easy to get around as a senior but the cold food is a strike against

We were blown away by how gorgeous the grounds are. Immaculate. The resort is laid out perfectly for ease of getting around. Food was great. Lots of drinks to pick from. Many little tables in bar and lounge areas to play games or cards. Entertainment was really good and we enjoyed the disco. Easy access to the beach if desired. The pool was a bit cold but that’s not the hotels fault. Would have liked a few more English channels on the tv. Everyone was kind and helpful. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great family resort

Great family resort with lots to do for kids. We were busy from morning until night. We stayed in the family section, which was further in the back offering more tree areas. This provided lots of entertainment from the monkeys in the trees. A truly unique experience and a highlight for us. Our accommodations were one of the renovated areas. The staff work extremely hard to keep it clean and it shows. The grounds were spotless, considering there was wildlife all around us. We really liked the fact that our room key was our bracelet. One less thing to worry about. The pools were ice cold. Literally felt like you were swimming in ice cubes. Overall, it was a wonderful family holiday for us. We would recommend this resort as a family resort not a party resort. Lots of kids.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Get what you pay for

It's warm in the sun, but for cheap. Resort is dated and rooms are musky, there are no umbrellas around the pools so be up at 7 am to save your pool spot under a cabana. Staff friendly, rooms are clean, food is good. Positive is its warmer than at home.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort!

Husband and I loved everything about this place. Food and service was excellent. Only negative was our proximity to the RIU Parties that took place every other night.....otherwise location of our room was convenient for buffet, pool and beach! Highly recommend!
