Playa Vista Azul: Great times

Rooms were very clean and modern, Maids very pleasant and make awesome towel art. DANCE entertainment team 5 star. Food I liked the pasta station and the egg station for breakfast. Cons.... No mini bar refills Not alot of meat only at lunch

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great Resort

The resort was very clean and easy to get around. I would have like to have more of an ocean view (as advertised) from various locations other than going right down to the beach but all in all it was good.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good, not great.

So let's start off with the drinks, unless your a premier member, top shelf drinks are NOT included. However being the avid partier that I am, the drinks that the staff made were delicious anyways. The grounds were very nice, with a few exceptions. In between building 8 and building 9, there's was a disgusting smell of raw sewage that you literally passed through unless you walked the exterior of the building. At one point we all got notices on our door of whether or not we wanted to ha [... read more]ve fumigation done. Thinking it was just a standard practice in hotels, I didn't give it much thought. However one of our friends who stayed on the lower floor walked out her door one night to see huge cockroach scattering. Talk about the heebie geebies. Be careful with the massages you book, they fail to tell you, but on contract you sign, if you miss your appointment or cancel, they try to still charge you half the amount. My wife argued until they gave in, but for someone not as assertive, they will sucker you. The food? I thought the food was great in the buffet and restaurants, I will say however that one of our friends got sick after eating in the Japanese place. 2 days later, another person (she hadn't eaten at the Japanese yet), then out last day, I also got sick. I mean stuck in the room as if I had the flu with severe pains in my upper abdomen. We found out that day 7 people were admitted to the hospital for food related illnesses. The excursions were a blast, but the people who actually work for the hotel, and stay in the lobby, although they say they give the best deals- that's false. We've found much better deals with guys on the beach, or guys floating around the resort. Our experience was alot of fun, mainly because of the company, but I definitely will not be returning to this hotel.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Very relaxing week!

The resort is very well maintained. The grounds are well groomed and attractive. The rooms were nice and very clean which I think can be attributed to the staff. The staff were very friendly and tried to help you whenever you asked. The food was mostly bland. This is consistent with what others have told us about their have experienced in many resorts in Cuba. The omlette bar for breakfast and the A la' cartes for dinner were quite good. Playa Vista Azul: Very nice resort

We just got back Cuba and stayed at the Ocean vista Azul. Overall the resort is beautiful and the only complaint we have would be the taste of food from the buffet. Otherwise a great vacation. We would go back again!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great Vacation

Resort was great! There are monkey's roaming around which is cool. The rooms were very good, modern, spacious. There are 5 pools - party pools, quiet pool, kids pool etc. Something for everyone. Liked the layout, very easy to get around the resort. Beach area was crowded so get up early if you want a chair by the beach area. Japanese restaurant was awesome!!!! Nightly entertainment was good, overall had nothing to complain about. There was also mixed messages about what you get - one guy said discounts on outings, other said no. Supposed to get top shelf liquor but asked one guy for grey goose and he said you would have to pay for that??? Would probably do a swim up vs whirlpool on balcony as you have to fill them and the water pressure is slow, we only used it once so was not really worth it but still cool. We also had one in the room so it wasn't really necessary to have one outside. Food was good, but make sure to go earlier than when you want to eat as sometimes it takes up to an hour for a table, especially for a larger group. Although we went to one at 7 and got right in, so depends on the night, Italian seemed to be very popular, always a line up. Buffet was good, had no issues finding anything to eat. Overall - really loved it, would go back!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great resort!

The grounds were exceptional, rooms were very clean, areas where food was served was spotless. We really enjoyed our stay and we would return to this resort. The beach was awesome to walk and the pool was clean and well maintained. All workers were helpful.

Playa Vista Azul: Loved this resort!

Very clean resort. Spacious room. Lovely staff. Interesting layout. Not a huge resort but some walking involved to different beaches. Stunning beaches The bluest water! Entertainment was ok. Food was plain and not a huge selection but we always found something delicious. I'd definitely go back!

Ocean El Faro: Great hotel

Nice place to stay, relax and to forget averting from home. Nice restaurants for dinner, even for late one ( we came at 10 pm and could still have a dinner). Every pool has its own bar. Really love the fruits there, they taste amazing. But the rest of the food was not so good :( Room was huge with nice balcony, cleaned daily.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good resort

Some areas were great and other areas could improve on customer service, Had to wait for our room to be done which was way past 3pm, no ironing board in room, no welcoming bottle of rum. For those that love the beach, iit is so, so.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: GREAT VACATION

MY SPOUSE AND I HAD AN AMAZING VACATION. THIS RESORT IS NOT ONLY BEAUTIFUL, BUT VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND GREAT STAFF. THEY ARE RESPECTFUL, KIND, VERY WELCOMING,GREAT ENTERTAINMENT. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO SEE THEIR SHOW/PERFORMANCE "GREASE''. IT IS WELL WORTH IT. THE A LA CARTE DINNERS ARE DELICIOUS AND THE BUFFET. ONLY THING THAT WOULD NEED IMPROVEMENT IS THE HOUSEKEEPING. THANKS FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE RELAXING TRIP.

Ocean El Faro: Vacation Paradise

It's a very nice Resort .The room as clean and we'll looked after. Food was good and a lot of selection 6.swimming pools with pool bars.We had nice weather and everything was A -OK .We mad nice People from all over the world . After breakfast went to the Beach and relaxed on the lawn chair . There are plenty of lawn chairs available.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Very Accommodating

Pool was lovely, people friendly, very accommodating, al le carte’s were great, beach wasn’t as big as I have experienced in Cuba before. Distance from then airport wasn’t too bad. Overall we would return!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great

The hotel was great, even the food was good. Only downside of that was the temperature of the food was not hot. The beach was good. It is a 2.5 hour drive from the hotel to the capital of Havana. We took the small group option and had 6 person , personal tour of the old city. Would recommend that tour to everyone!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great family resort!

We had a great time at the resort, there was lots to do and plenty for the kids! The weather was beautiful and the Ocean was great most days, a few days we had a bit more seaweed if the wind had picked up. Otherwise, it was calm and clear :) The food was not great but not bad! The buffet seemed to run out of quite a few things and it was very hit and miss. The breakfast was mostly good and the lunch was great but the dinners were just okay. Not a great selection. However, we did go to the Italia [... read more]n restaurant that was outdoors TWICE and it was fantastic! Service, food and ambiance ! Unfortunately, with an 8 month old it is not easy to do the a la Carte because her bed time is so early. Because you cannot make reservations we would only end up being able to eat later at night which did not work for our little one. I would end up having to leave early completely or walk her around and come back to my cold meal. If you have older kids or are going with adults than I highly suggest doing the a la cart instead of the buffet. We also went to the Mexican and Route 66 a la carte which were great! The teppanyaki was okay, not great compared to other resorts we have been to. Service on the resort was great, everyone was very friendly! Wait, not everyone. The front desk was horrible lol never picked up the phone and we had issues with our thermostat, leaving our room very cold at night. They would keep telling us they were coming but didn’t. Same with our bed situation they said they would fix and didn’t until the 4th night. I am a firm believer of the phrase “kill em with kindness” but apparently in this case we had to get pretty upset before they did anything lol The pools were also great (all three) We all enjoyed them including the kids :)

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great Time

We spent two weeks at the resort. Food was very good, our room was kept spotless, grounds were pretty. The pool was great...the beach even better. We enjoyed a few shows...sometimes we were in bed early tuckered out from all that sun! Service was excellent. We will return!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: The resort offered everything we were looking for.

The rooms were great. Loved to be on the ground level and just walk out the French door to our patio and being so close to the pool. All buildings so easy to find. We enjoyed the apartment, even if we had to be on the second floor. The layout is great. The room was kept very well, with clean sheets almost daily. We got an extra bottle of drinking water, after just asking. We were within a couple of minutes of walking to either lobby, dining area, beach. We enjoyed the coffee at Mike’s coffee  [... read more]shop, just beside the lobby. The coffee in the dining room was not so great, but with Mike being nearby we got what we needed. Everyone was so friendly. The atmosphere was so nice. We truly appreciated the service we received from Tripcentral in every aspect of our journey, from booking to flying, confirming return flight...it was all: made so easy.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: 1st time in Cuba would be my last!

Sun, sand, pool and drinks were great but buffet was terrible! Ala carte restaurants were ok but not everything on the menu was available. Public washroom often ran out of toilet paper.. patio door didn’t lock, bug bites and mosquitos were bad... bring antihistamines... room water/pop and beer were not often refilled. Exchange is crazy expensive $100 pesos to $150 CDN. Excursions were great but long days... Jeep excursion was 11hrs..: Was having GI issues the whole trip... ate French fries f [... read more]or breakfast as I couldn’t stomach buffet.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Awesome Resort

I have visited Cuba a few times in the past I can say that this resort is by far the best one I’ve had the pleasure to stay at. The resort is beautiful, well kept and the staff are hard working and go above and beyond. Well worth it

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing time!

We loved the resort from start to finish! Such a great vibe. 2 beautiful clean beaches. The ocean was so much fun! Great waves and the colour was out of this world! The food was great and service fantastica. We will definitely be back!
