Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Not very good
The Standard rooms are really bad, the tap and sliding door are not working. Food was almost the same thing every day. Some days the ran out of food at the 24 hr snack bar. We had to upgrade for more $$.
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Club Amigo was okay
The food was good, but the rooms were mediocre. The bed killed my back and the toilet sang every time it was flushed. Power was lost a couple of times, and there were many beach chairs broken. You get what you pay for!
Club Amigo Mayanabo: Good Place, Amazing Value!
We paid $675 each for a week in March before March Break. Outstanding value considering it includes airfare, hotel, unlimited food, drinks, and alcohol, entertainment Good Large Pool, with a shallow side pool. Lots of lounge chairs all around, in shade or sun. Beautiful Coconut Palm Trees all around pool. Occasionally organized waterpolo is played, and volleyball net available. 3 Bars around the pool, (but no swim-up bar). Lots of choices for food, Salad Bar at every lunch and dinner, but lett [... read more]
Carisol los Corales: Average.
Carisol los Corales doesn't exists. Two hotels exists Hotel 'Carisol' and Hotel 'Los Corales'. Los Corales 3 stars Carisol 2+ But you you are selling both together. Should be selection: you should ask me which I want. and PRICE should be different. I have lived in Carisol but paid for Corales. Best regards. Leonid
Starfish Varadero: Good Value - Beautiful Beach
This resort was a good value for what we paid. The food was good and as expected for Cuba. Bungalow was very spacious and located close to the beach. Palapas were plentiful and we had no issues at all with the AC. Water temperature was not the greatest, seemed to take a long time for it to heat up to luke warm. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Carisol los Corales: Southern Hospitality Cuban Style
The resort was suitable and rooms were adequate for the price. Since Hurricane Sandy the resort appears to be run down and weathered but staff on the resort at all levels were very friendly and showed why Canadians love coming back to the Cuban hospitality. Resort staff make up for the shortfalls. Although isolated from Santiago De Cuba had a number of excursions worth checking out. If you don't mind horses checking the outback is well worth your money. Its like travelling back in time to the w [... read more]
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great Resort
The Hotel was great, the grounds really beautifull, the people that work at the resort were extremelly friendly.Great beach, food not as great but plenty of it. The la Carts were great, plenty to drink, freindly bartenders. Amazing weather. Over all a great experience.

Carisol los Corales: OK
This is a very basic property, Great pool and nice grounds. We found the staff very friendly and engaging. The food is very bland, but you will always find something to eat, Bread must be baked there, it is always so fresh. If you looking to relax in the sun and not spend a lot of money...This is the place. Face it, It's way better there on a bad day, then here any time this winter.
Carisol los Corales: Awesome resort!!
Just got back from a week at Los Corales. My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time. Nice size resort, not too big, not too small. We met tons of super nice people, guests and staff. We enjoyed the snorkelling right off the beach. The view of the mountains from the beach was beautiful. We had a big 2nd floor room in the 500 block that was always kept tidy. We felt safe going over to the other resort to check it out many times. William was a blast on our catamaran tour, we also caught a 2 [... read more]

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: beautiful beaches
Overall good. Rooms good maybe not the barracks part. Service slow, lots of waiting in line and very unorganized. Beaches awesome. Food good. Loved the catamaran to swim with the dolphins. Victor and the crew were a lot of fun.
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing trip!!!
I was there in 2012, and had a great time. I had another amazing time with the friends that took us last time and we brought a couple more with us. Was nicely surprised to see so many new things, like another swim up bar, the Pirate's bar on the beach where Christopher Columbus landed. Three more snack bars that also served breakfast by taking our order at the table! A lovely sauna, cheap prices for massages, etc. The unbelievable "Returning Supper" for previous guests and we were allowed to als [... read more]
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: solid 3 star
This resort is very large as it is 4 resorts made into one. Overall we had a good experience. You have to visit pirates cove and at hello to Rico, great guy and he makes the best drinks on the resort. only bad experience was with the shop at the main reception area. My husband had been buying cigars from there during our 2 week stay, a coupleof the of days before we left he purchased the same cigars at the store over at the bungalows and realized that they were half the price of what he had been [... read more]
Carisol los Corales: Love the weather and people.
Absolutely perfect weather...30+ and sunshine with a welcoming breeze off the Caribbean. Rooms are clean and functional although decor is dated. Food in the buffet restaurants is pretty basic but okay. A little better in the a la cartes. After the weather, the best thing about Carisol Los Corales is the people. Almost without exception, the staff are warm and friendly and as helpful as possible.
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good expererince
Example: What did you think about this hotel? Friendly staff, neat and clean hotel, drinks and foods are fine(great values for grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.) I stayed at the club Amigo seven nights. I was pleasantly surprised as many of Torontonian, European, and Asian. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable and features a lounge that serves wonderful cocktails 24/7 service. Check in was fairly efficient. The room was a "normal" room. It was very large, with a long entr [... read more]
Starfish Varadero: some very good and not so good
the trees and flowering plants are of great variety and very mature very scenic the beach is very nice although i couldnt walk far in bare feet wihout getting those small burdocks stuck in my foot the staff is friendly and the beer is cold the food is poor even for cuban standards the only chicken at the buffet all week was the bony part of the back no breasts or thighs
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great time at Club Amigo

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Loved It!
Beautiful grounds, pool and beach. The service was excellent. Food was good, but don't expect gourmet. Rooms are not at all fancy, but serviceable. Great value for the price but you must be adaptable to visit Cuba. Be prepared to check for toilet paper, to find no seats on toilets etc. But we loved it. We will go back asap!
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: great beach
The hotel was really good. There are different levels of rooms so an upgrade for a few extra dollars is well worth the money. The staff is very friendly. Pirate bar serves the best pina coladas and mohitos. There are places that serve amazing food but as well places where its the same stuff every day. Doesn't cost anything to eat at the great places. Just ask around to find out where they are on the grounds. The scooters are a must to rent super cheap. Hear towards the marina. Meet great people [... read more]
