Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful

Family of 4 (2 teenagers), 2 adjoining rooms. The grounds, the pools, the bathrooms were meticulously maintained. The staff always eager to help. All worthy of a 5 star. Overall great stay ... however a few things needs adjusting: 1.our room had a humidity/sewer smell for most of the week... the hotel put a dehumidifier and sprayed lemon but the smell remained throughout the week in one of the rooms (we were in building 12) 2. there should be a better way to go to the restaurants and not be  [... read more]disappointed because they close at 10PM... we arrived at the restaurant at 7h30 (yes a little late, but hey were on vacation and it was our last night)- we would have really wanted to finish our week at the steak house (the best of the a la carte), but there was a 2 hour wait and the restaurant closed at 10h .so they didn't take our reservation. The lighting in the restaurant could also be improved... except for the steakhouse and Yin (the japanese), they were all ‘way’ too bright. Lastly, the beach however beautiful it is (sand, clear water) is very crowded in front of the resort. Took long walks to get away from the crowd, and also very much enjoyed our day at Saona island... beautiful, way less people, saw starfish, great day!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort....very impressive

we were impressed with the resort..grounds were beautiful...pools, nice but too cold at this time of year....beach well. i love cuban beaches..so no complaints the only disppointment was...with the al acarte restaurants when we arrived we were told that NO reservations were needed...twice we went 8ish..and were told no tables available...ok...they give you a buzzer? to let you know when a table is available...would not give us one..or could not give us one....as it was late??then one of the at [... read more]tendents actually told us that Diamond Club members could make reservations...therefore no tables for us...very disappointing. so buffet it was for us...great variety of food.. overall,,,great!!!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: First-Class Resort

Royalton Bavaro was absolutely fantastic resort. Grounds, buildings, rooms were impeccable. The beach and water was spectacular. Pools were great though could be a tad warmer. The food in all restaurants was good but not great. The large majority of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Liquor drinks were weak and house wine was poor. Overall this is a fantastic resort for a family trip. Exceptional if you have kids.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Expensive Lemon

Our holiday started with the first sour note an additional $1,100.00 to have a room with some view, instead of a room with the view of the swamp and the big & ugly utility building, and afternoons in the full blast of the sun. Most of the staff, including the buffet, with very little or no English. Every step required a tip, and , even after tipping you still won't get the service or drink you asked for. Food , at the very best, average. Meals repeating almost day after day. Fried chicken o [... read more]r fish with fries was always the best bet. Pork or beef.. forget about it, the soles of my shoes are tender. Entertainment : NADA !!! Live elevator music at keyboard or violin. No shows.. When it rained or close to raining, events were cancelled. Only twice a smart DJ managed to provide some entertainment for all ages. Twice in 11 days !!! On top of it the "entertainment" with full blast of boomboxes were located in the close vicinity of the living quarters. Closed doors and ear plugs couldn't help getting to sleep. Only the beach and ocean earned the 5 star rating. It's the second lemon in a row, after last year experience at Princess in Dominican Republic.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Service!

We had a great week at this resort. The service on the Hideaway side was absolutely amazing from the bartenders to the towel/pool attendants. The meals were great at the restaurants in the Hideaway side but also in the general resort area. We're foodies so delighted in the specialty restaurants and stayed clear of the buffet. We will be going back to this resort again!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: A positive holiday!

Family of 4. With a 2.5 Y/O & 9 month babe. Resort is great for families. 2nd time @ a Royalton Resort and the service/facilities is what sold us. Food options exceeded expectations. Went to Hunter & Taj Restaurant twice because we were so impressed by the flavours/service/presentation of food. Buffet also has many options. They always consider food allergies which is comforting for my family. Easy to navigate around with little ones & stroller. Many pools to choose from. Room service was a good option for us and the kids but it does take up to 45 mins. However, you can schedule a time for delivery all on your tv. Well designed resort. Evening solo musicians were a beautiful start to the amazing evening shows that followed. luxurious grounds. Such a positive trip!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort but DC not worth it

We booked a Deluxe Junior Suite with Ocean View Diamond Club, but we did not get placed in the Diamond Club building nor did we have an Ocean view. We didn't find the Diamond Club was worth it for just the extra pool, buffet and butler service that was true butler service. We waited almost two hours to get our meals at some of the a la cartes. The resort itself was beautiful and rooms were very nice.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Lovely resort

Beautiful resort, rooms newly renovated. Even though it was a larger resort everything was never to far away. Food was good, for most part staff were friendly. Lazy river was almost to big and more for kids as you get splashed a lot, but that’s probably the who it was made for. Beach was also very nice. I would go back.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Heavenly!

My group of four girlfriends spent a wonderful 5 days here. Every single staff member is friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile. The grounds can’t be beat and the resort isn’t too big or small. The beach is phenomenal and the water is sandy and clear. We enjoyed daily yoga class and some of the beach aerobics classes. Lots of beach lounge chairs to choose from each day. The rooms we had were clean and comfortable beds. We requested two doubles but only got one king but  [... read more]this was fine with us. Housekeeping always did a good job. Balconies are spacious and quiet. Wifi is decent but not strong signal in general, and had to walk to near gym to get a signal strong enough to do a video chat with family back home. We enjoyed all our meals both at buffet and tried all a la carte restaurants. High quality food at this resort and tons of variety to choose from. Bring bug spray for dusk if you plan to eat outside at that time. Ronald was very helpful to arrange a private tour of Havana and we had a great day. Recommend this above a bus tour as he was able to customize the day to what we wanted.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Beautiful Grounds Slow Service

Rooms are fine probably because they are less than a year old. Service is slow, restaurants were average at best, entertainment was barely adequate, beach is above average. Make sure you take towels the night before to be safe. Inform yourself about Diamond Club before you go.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

We were at the Royalton Riviera in Mexico again this year. Last year for 7 days. This year 10 days. Next year 2 weeks. What am amazing resort. Restaurants galore, Italian, seafood, Indian, steak, Mexican , Texan, Japanese, buffet etc...The most wonderful staff, many pools, great rooms. On & on & on. My one recommendation is book up to the Diamond Club. That will make your time there great!

It was a nice place always have to consider that Cuba is poor, the staff was good, the food was good, No Kleenex, you have to ask for face cloths, no coffee pots in the rooms no elevators all stairs Overall it was ok was on my bucket list glad I went

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Beautiful beach.. service needs some work

Beautiful beach and pool area. Rooms were do so. Food was fine but nothing special except for the pastries in the coffee shop. They were great. Just found service levels to be a little lacking by some. No real spark to take pride in their work. Should have an adult's only section ad far too many crying kids on the beach. We would go back if had adults only.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great time

3 rd time staying at Royalton and 2 Nd time at this one. Resort has everything you really need in vacation from plenty of restaurants and bars and variety of food. I did however find this time that the resort especially the bathrooms were not always clean. On top of that the coffee in the hideaway was usually empty. Unlike the Royalton in Punta Cana where they had the coffee and latte machines. Other than that been on several all inclusive vacations and feel Royalton is worth the cost.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Best Choice in NEGRIL

Book Hideaway section or Diamond Club. You will be not disappointed. Don't go for the cheapest room without any privileges. Trips to Black river + and YC falls, Sunset catamaran to Ricks Cafe with snorkeling is a must.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Child friendly resort

The resort was lovely, well laid out for children. Resort staff was friendly and helpful. Service was immediate for any requests or necessities. My main con's for this resort are that there were not any coffee stations close to the beach unless you are diamond club(the walk to the front of the resort was a bit of a distance). There was a coffee maker in the rooms and yes, room service was excellent but does not help the walk for a "good" coffee during the day and service at the pool for drink [... read more]s seemed to only apply to men...I could sit for hours without a drink but when son was beside me service was good and he was approached right away. I recommend a Royalton over other hotels, you are guaranteed good food and service.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Lovely Resort

The service was fantastic the place was very clean and the food was amazing but I found Hideaway was more for couples than adults .It is my second time at Royalton and I stayed at the regular section 5 years ago which I prefered .Next time I will use the extra money to upgrade my room at Royalton since it is closer to everything on the resort.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Not What I Expected

To start, when we booked on the Sunwing page, it showed that a lobster dinner on the beach was included and when I asked about it when we arrived the rep at the Hideaway office said it was not available. So, I spoke with my Sunwing rep and April from Tripcentral and after an hour of back and forth I was given 1 lobster tail that we had to split between the 2 of us at one of our dinners, not what I expected. This is false advertising and has to be stopped. The food was average and the our orders were missed up numerous times, drinks were watered down and people we met on site complained about it. The beach was well maintained but was constantly hassled by vendors. Our room was on the mangroves side and had to keep our doors closed due to the smell and the sinks would not drain properly. I would not recommend this resort and it is not a 5 star.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Still a good resort

I would rate this a 4.5 star overall. Food for the most part was great. They changed over the Mediterranean restaurant to Indian Restaurant called Raj. That is a great choice that is seldom seen and resorts and the food was amazing. Far better than the previous one. I like the fact that no reservations required for a la cartes unless you book the Tepanyaki Cook Table. Disappointing that they are no longer serving shrimp at the main buffet. The rooms and grounds are starting to show signs o [... read more]f aging but are maintained very well. Disappointing that beach was unusable due to jellyfish.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great Resort

The grounds were beautiful, as was the beach. Food was good. Buffet got a little old, but there were lots of other restaurants to try. Enjoyed all the a la cartes that we tried. Staff was mostly friendly. Rooms were clean and nice and cool. Would definitely go back.
