Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Small but nice

This resort was very nice but different from a lot of all inclusive we have traveled two. Instead of having a large buffet style dining hall there was one restaurant inside the resort where breakfast was the only buffet and it was small. So ordering off a menu was your only option. There is other restaurants you can go to as well that where included which where pretty good. You had to watch to make sure you where not ordering things that where not included as they make u sign bills for everythin [... read more]g and would charge your room if you got the wrong thing. All items in fridge would be charged even though website says there included. Over all this resort is small but nice, it is very well located right on the marina which is nice for shopping and an amazing view of all the huge boats. The time share people in the resort are pretty pushy to try and get you to go to there meeting as well. But that’s Mexico lol

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Hidden gem

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Amazing staff

It was our first time in Mexico so we have nothing to compare it to but we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were outstanding and the resort was clean and there was more than enough options for food of any kind. We would definitely return to this resort

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Great place!

We had a fabulous time! Great place for a great price. Excellent food and super service. Nice small resort-so easy to meet people. Would recommend this place. Good location as well. Kept us well stocked with drinks at all times at the resort or at the beach.

Grand Oasis Sens: Wow

This was the first time that I ever came to Mexico I’m excited that the hotel made me feel safe rooms are clean and I had a beautiful oceanfront view. You definitely need to wake up early in order to experience all of the activities that are available especially if you really enjoy all inclusive. Although if you are vegetarian or vegan there aren’t many options on the resort to eat. I was expecting there to be a lot more seafood then there was available.

Canto Del Sol: Great last minute getawa!!!

Canto Del Sol was an awesome place to relax and enjoy time with my daughter!!! The food was good. Always something different to try!!! The hotel was immaculate!!! Our room was simple but clean and all we needed to rest our heads at the end of days in the sun!!! Showers were perfect. We were on the first floor and zero water pressure problems or cold water issues!!! Entertainment was fun!!! Hotel close to all activities. We ventured out for two days on excursions and it was very simple and cheap  [... read more]to get to excursion meeting points. Never once did we feel unsafe and we left the resort often to check things out!!! We met handfuls of people who were staying at the Canto Del Sol for their 3rd 4th 5th 6th + stays!!! I would definitely go back!!! Puerto Vallarta is beautiful!!!

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Great Resort

Built on a hillside overlooking a secluded sandy beach. All units have private balconies facing the ocean. QUIET!! No loud amplified music on the pool decks or beach areas. Excellent food at the seafood and Italian restaurants ( we didn't try the Mexican restaurant.). The buffet food was not as good.Hotel offered a free bike tour on the superb public bike path in Ixtapa as well a a naturalist guided bird walk on Sunday am. Paradisus Cancun: Good for family, bad for singles

Good for couples and families, not good for singles. Let me explain. We went there from Canada with my friend. The reason we picked Paradisus is that our close friend from Russia got married, we couldn't attend his wedding in Russia so we decided to pay respect and invade his honeymoon :) . Long story short, we were considered gay couple TWICE by different people just cuz we sat together. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: A True Gem

First time staying a Bahia Principe property. The staff were AMAZING. This so evident in the way we were treated as guest. It was as if everyone loved their job. It wasn't about them but rather how they could best serve us and make our stay a joy. Mission accomplished. The Siam Ka'an was one of the resorts on the property with access to the other two resorts, shuttle service prompt and driven by lovely drivers and engaging music. Paradisus Cancun: Fantastic Stay

My 4 friends and I were reccommended this hotel from Krista our travel agent. All I have to say is WOW! Amazing! Food is absolutely fantastic. The À La Carte’s are even better! Special special thanks to our boy Michael by the main pool he is an absolute legend. He definitely is a pleasure to be around everyday, and made the trip worth while. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Gorgeous resort!

The grounds were stunning, so much attention to detail. Room could use an upgrade, had a few bugs in it, back of the couch was stained, water leaked under the shower door during every shower and more counter space in the bathroom would be nice. Beach was well kept, pool is beautiful. Food was good and staff very friendly and efficient! We booked a catamaran excursion from the booth by the pool and this was disappointing. THe staff was excellent though. I definitely want to come back to this resort, it is so beautiful.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Vacation !!

This was our second time at Dreams Sands Cancun. We absolutly love it there ! The food is great, the water is so calm and amazing to swin in and the service is excellent. During my stay in Cancun, I got dehydrated and had to go to the hospital. The staff was amazing and very helpful during this nightmare. They made me feel comfortable and secure.

Grand Oasis Palm: Disappointing

I was disappointed by this hotel. My wife, my 2 year old daughter and I were looking forward to this trip as a way to decompress, have a bit of fun and reconnect. First night there, we get woken up at 2 in the morning by drunk people shouting in the hallway, second night there we realize the bar outside close to our room plays loud music until 11:30 every night, and 2nd morning there, that they've begun renovation just outside our room with (jackhammer starting at 8 in the morning and going  [... read more]on until 2 in the afternoon every weekday). In light of the lack of sleep, my daughter was throwing tantrums after tantrums, which meant, neither my wife nor I were really able to relax. We spoke with the hotel about relocating to a quieter room but it seems they were more interested in selling us an upgrade (at high price to a location just as noisy) rather than solving the issue. The rooms themselves are also quite small, and no balcony or bigger bathroom unless you pay a premium. With two luggages, a stroller and a crib, pretty much the whole room is filled. In addition to this, Hotel babysitting services only start at 3 years old. If you want access to the Kid's shallow pool area, your child has to be supervised by one parent; no two parents can be present at the same time and there is no chair for parents to sit in that area. Foodwise, I have coeliac disease so my choices are limited to begin with, but they were more limited in that hotel than other hotels i have been to in Mexico. Furthermore, having only chosen the Oasis Palm (and not the Grand oasis Palm option) a lot of restaurants weren't accessible to us. It did not however make any sense to pay a premium to have the grand Oasis Palm option as most of these extra restaurants were 16years+. In any case, we felt we had tasted everything there was to be tasted after 2 days there. Service was not consistent, nor always as friendly as you would expect.For one of the restaurants, we had ordered white wine. It took 15 minutes for the server to come with wine glasses, and he had poured red wine instead. Instead of fixing his mistake right away, he then went to clean another table and another, etc. The daughter was getting fussy (she was hungry) so we ended just leaving that restaurant after 25 minutes of sitting down, with no food for her nor wine for us. We finally managed to get relocated to another hotel by speaking with Sunwing customer Service. We got transferred to another Oasis hotel (Grand Oasis Tullum). A much calmer resort where the service was much friendlier and my daughter was actually able to sleep.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: We had a very nice time!

House wines were much better than last year, which was our only real complaint at that time. Food was excellent and a good selection of bar stock - could maybe expand on rum selections though. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed spending each day at the "solo adultos" beach with fantastic weather. Resort staff do a great job cleaning up the seemingly never ending seaweed deposits each day. A la carte restaurants were excellent - our favourites are Arlequin (gourmet) and the Japane [... read more]se restaurant at Sian Khan. Too bad we often weren't able to finish the generous portions. We will look forward to coming back again. One pretty minor complaint - please put more wall hooks in rooms/bathrooms for towels, toiletry bags, etc.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Third visit in two years - just keeps getting better!

This was the third time in two years that I have visited this resort. The first and last time I traveled solo. The second time I traveled with my three adult children. Obviously, I love this place! All three times I stayed in the regular section - building 9 - in what would be considered the kids' section because it's right beside the kids' pool. I found this location very quiet and certainly not a long walk from all the action. I ate at the buffet for breakfast each day but always found [... read more] an ala carte restaurant for my dinner. The food in all the restaurants is fantastic -- lots of choices as well as a kids' menu available. There have been lots of negative reviews about the beach. There is some seaweed washed ashore on the beach but resort staff do use tractors each day to try and keep it to a minimum. The water is not clear and snorkeling at the beach is not good. If swimming at the beach is a deal breaker for you this might not be the right location. I personally like to walk the beach but then I prefer to swim in the pools. All of the staff are wonderful!! Shout out to my personal pool waiter, Cesar, who kept me well hydrated each day. I do tend to tip well. I take US$ - lots of ones. I tend to leave $5/person at dinner and a dollar or two at the breakfast buffet -- waiters bring mimosas, juice, tea, coffee etc. I usually tip $1/drink at the pool / pool bar / evening entertainment. You can exchange larger bills for ones at either the checkin desk or the Diamond Club lounge. The entertainment is good - there are a number of activities for both adults and kids each day. Some include beach volleyball, pool volleyball, aquafit, foam party in the pool just to name a few. Each evening there is a show at the main pool area -- a Fire Show, Circus Show, Aqua Show, Mexican night. One day they bring in local vendors so you can do your souvenir shopping right at the resort. I know this is a long review but I hope I have addressed some concerns that travelers have. You won't be disappointed at the Royalton!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful Resort

Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Great pool areas with a wide range of activities. Large rooms that are well maintained and clean. Variety of dining areas with a wide choice of foods to suit any tastes.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: first class resort

We just returned from a ten day vacation at the Valentin Imperial Resort and we had a fabulous stay here. The pros of the resort: The resort itself is pristine and the grounds are immaculate and quite lavish.The junior suite we stayed in was spacious, very comfortable with a great shower and lots of hot water at any time of the day- for those that may be interested in this! The main pool is massive and has a lively atmosphere with music from mid day and endless activities to participate  [... read more]in.The resort discourages reserving chairs by the pool however no one follows this so if you have a favorite spot do reserve it, 7:30 AM is not too early to do this. The food at all the restaurants is amazing, We did not have meal we did not enjoy but loved the Japanese (Ginger) restaurant for their sushi ,the Italian restaurant(l'Olivio) and Mar Y Tiera for more casual dining. The breakfast buffet is crazy huge and all great tasting and quality foods available. The bars around the resort are numerous, we loved the poolside service , the Martini bar and the Plaza D'Espania bar. All these features would not really stand out without the fabulous staff.Everyone we met is smiling , happy to be working here and always available to help you. From the gardeners to wait staff to the reception area, everyone is professional, friendly, and hard working.Most speak English but if you speak Spanish as my husband does;you can have some great conversations! The cons: We found the beach disappointing, the water was too rough to go in, the sand difficult to walk on as it is deep and lots of seaweed. It is relaxing to listen to the ocean but that's about it. We did not like the coffee, it has an unpleasant taste and not drinkable! Several others we spoke to felt the same . Overall we can't wait to return to the Valentin Imperial, a real gem of a resort!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Beautiful resort

Considering we never wanted to visit Mexico with all the bad things you hear it was very beautiful and the resorts are very protected they really do care about the tourists , the resort was hudge and there is trollies to take you around if need be put the grounds are outstanding even driving in to the resort , some wild life roaming around Peacocks, swans , all kinds of birds , cotis , beach was great some days see weed put not smelly or over run and they clean it up all the time, only t [... read more]hing is it's not a long walking beach as there is 4 other sister resorts and thats about the size of the beach , the food was really good lots of choices and they change it up often, the room we had was close to the beach a walkout it was a little dark and need some repairs , put it was close to the pool and the breakfast buffet which was a great walk in the morning going though the palms and pathways was soo gorgeous. The entertainment was fantastic best I have seen at a resort, Overall it was a lot of fun and the have no mayor complaints, people are wonderful and very accomadating, , I would return to Mexico forsure and try another resort just because we don't go to the same one ever,

Royal Solaris: Fantastic Resort!!

Our rooms were very clean and the pillows and beds were comfortable. The food was great and we really enjoyed the pizza, civiche bar and fresh food pool side. Our waiter around the pool, Ventura, was so awesome!! He was friendly and came by regularly so we were never left thirsty. Thanks Royal Solaris team fir a great vacation. This was my second time there and I can’t wait to go again!!

El Dorado Seaside Suites: best yet

we have been to several hotels in Maya and have to say best service and food ever.rooms are spotless and huge .only downfall is beach area is rocky and small . The staff were quick at getting any info you needed and friendly .will definitely be back soon !!
