Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very good resort.
My husband and I went to Cuba for the first time for a much- needed rest. It's a well -run place on a beautiful beach. The food was OK for us as vegetarians, but better food labeling is recommended. The buffet staff was so nice and kind, in spite of being run off their feet! They appreciated my humble attempts at Spanish. Our room was very nice on the third floor of building five, but we got lost the first 2 days there, as they all look the same! Large signposts with directions to the number [... read more]

Playa Pesquero: bit of a let down
we have been 6 times to this resort, and we see it continue to drop in all areas except the staff, thats why we love this resort. All areas of food quality down with most short of major supplies, other resorts no problem, here theres a problem, i believe a lot has to with current management, plus embargo spells disaster.bananas that they grow there almost non exsistance? no embargo there, untill they get new leadership there i believe it to continue togo down hill, Beer garden always had early mo [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Better than ever!
This is a true 5 star resort in Cuba, the best hotel we have stayed at in Cuba. The food is amazing, the grounds are beautiful, the spa is a great! We will be back for sure. They have great service and good entertainment.
Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great vacation
We visited in November 2019 and had a great vacation. Service was excellent, beaches were beautiful, room was spacious and clean. The food was ok; the selection was the poorest we have seen in Cuba ever, but the chefs did a great job with what they had.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Beautifull Beach !!
Great resort, our 6th visit there, friendly staff, awesome beach, grounds were beautiful, buffet not too bad, the other restaurants were great especially the Italian, you never have to walk too far to get anywhere, more steps to the beach on the Mares side, we prefer the Luna side. The only negative comment would be the rude behavior of the Eastern Europeans, it was a real turnoff, may be a factor if we return.
Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Amazing Resort!
This was my second time going to Cuba but my first time in Cayo Coco. I loved it! The Iberostar had amazing service and is such a beautiful resort! My favourite part was the Dock on the beach! Drinks were amazing & food was good especially at the grill in the snackbar ! On our last day we had to checkout at 12 but our bus didn't pick us up until 7, the front desk gave us somewhere to hold our luggages safely and a place to shower as we spent the whole day on the beach. I will definitely be going [... read more]
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Great resort
Great resort, pretty clean, decent. Staff and entertainment teams and shows were awesome. Very good value for the deal we had. The coming back experience with Air Canada was an ordeal, with an 18 hours delay, especially for us and other families with kids. But that's another story which doesn't have anything to do with the resort. I would recommend this resort to friends.
Club Amigo Marea Del Portillo: Not for everyone
This was our 7th time at this resort and 4 years since we've been back. The staff is still amazing and the cabanas are the same. The beach and sun make up for the shortage of food selection but you need to go with an open mind and appreciate what we have. These lovely people are kind and making the best of every day. They are unsure of their future but still smile and give hugs. If you are looking for a quiet low key vacation and something totally different from your last Mexico vacation then [... read more]
Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Great Beach and staff!
This is a perfect resort for a balance of relaxation and activity. There is no or a nominal single supplemental so it’s great if you’re going alone as it attracts singles . It’s not a criticism but there are a lot of French speaking guests. It would be much easier to meet people if you speak French, but then a lot of thankfully speak English. It’s far from the town so if you go here you are going to a resort and there are few realistic options to venture and see Cuba. The entertainment [... read more]
Melia Costa Rey: Good resort but service needs improvement
The hotel is great and restaurants are better than expected! Only problem is the staff and the expectation for tips. If you don't leave tips at every request, expect a subpar service that is not 5 stars.
Starfish Cuatro Palmas: We hit the jackpot with Starfish Cuatro Palmas
We have been to Cuba Many times in the past, but this time we hit the jackpot with Starfish Cuatro Palmas right in the heart of Varedero, close to many local nightspots and a safe neighborhood. We were in the quieter section of the Hotel in Las Palmas Bunglow 2 which is a across the street from the main complex, a quieter section. Though rated as 3 stars due to its room size, this resort has 5 stars, service, food, and entertainment. The quality of food is above par with excellent and a lar [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Very very good resort!
One of the cleanest resorts we have been to, although only at half capacity. The food was very good everywhere especially the a la cart restaurants. The roasted pig outdoors was a feast as well. We loved the beach and did some great snorkeling every day. The pool is massive with plenty of loungers. Service was great everywhere. Room was a bit worn but clean and neat. The resort is very big so be prepared to walk alot or wait for the golf carts going around. Resort is 16 years old and could use a [... read more]
Hotel Villa Cuba: Great Time at Be Live Varadero
Hotel was fun. Typical day, get up late around 7 to 8 go to the coffee bar, buffet, lather up and head to the beach. After enjoying the most beautiful beach in the world, shower, buffet, pool bar, entertainment, visit with new friends, people watch, bed and repeat. All days were not typical as there was the hop on and off bus days with Varadero town restaurants, more people watching and the list goes on and on, just try it and you will see.
Melia Las Dunas: Great Resort
I love this hotel it is huge with an adult and family section. The staff are amazing and there are plenty of activities for all ages. The beach is clean and the water is amazing. Definitely will be returning to this hotel.
Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Not bad for price but lacking in some ways
The hotel itself was not the most modern had a few problems with septic and little black bugs in the room , but the staff was very very friendly , advertised on website were non motorized water sports included well supersize supersize one hr of kite surfing is 150.00 insane price 70 cuc to rent a catamaran and 40 cuc to rent a kayak not a darn thing free except beach towel ,. anything you want to do for fun to go see or to do cost a fortune kinda messed up seeing its a poor country o [... read more]
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Good vacation at Labranda!
Loved the amazing beach, rooms were spacious and clean, food was plentiful and diverse, good shows for kids and adults, outstanding service from all personnel at reception desk, restaurants and bars. Will go again!
Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Had a good holiday at this resort
We recently got back from our 7 days of vacation at this resort. We enjoyed most of our time at the beach. My husband took part in dancing and beach volleyball with his friend. I enjoyed the special dance performance by the locals and the children playing musical instruments at the beach one afternoon. By the time we left, there was a lot of new shelters being built around the shoreline. I find that there are a lot of seashells which can hurt your feet when walking if you don't have water shoes [... read more]
Hotel Los Cactus: Amazing vacation, shall return soon !
Great visit to Los Cactus from Dec 9th until Dec 16th in a Suite, large size room must of been recently renovated, two sofas in seating area, sun patio, very comfortable bed, great AC, coffee making area and fridge with water and soft drinks. Found the buffet food selection to be repetitious but quality and quantity was excellent. Never had trouble finding something different to eat each day, and the grill and pasta counters were awesome. Good selection of vegetables each sitting (even spou [... read more]
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful and relaxing
We had a great week away at this resort. You can tell that it was a bit run down but there was a lot of work already done during the week we were there! The previous owners let it go but the new owners seem to be doing good things! It has an amazing beach and great pools. There wasn't the best variety of food but the food was good! The snack bar had delicious pizza! All in all a great trip to Be Live Cayo Santa Maria.
