Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great time at Sirenis

Just returned from 10 days. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Advised they are starting to close parts within the month and doing a major renovation. Eventually will become a Grand Sirenis similar to the Grand Sirenis in Mayan Riviera, Mexico. Grounds were beautiful, beach awesome. Plenty of chairs for everyone. Didn't have to go out early in morning to secure chairs. Stayed in the Tropical side which we were advised is the first area that will be closed.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Fabulous!!!!

This was our 2nd time there and it was even better then we remembered from last time! All the staff are amazing. Professional, efficient, courteous and extremely friendly. I noted how well staffed the resort was. Everywhere you went there was staff working quitely away to make sure the grounds and the facilities were imaculate. The entertainers are especially great at keeping all ages engaged. There is something for everyone. The beach was prestine! Grand Bavaro Princess: Awesome vacation

As this was our third stay at the Bavaro Princess, we knew already what a fabulous resort it is: fantastic beach, great food, superb service, gorgeous grounds, delicious drinks, spacious and very clean accommodations.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great resort

Grounds are beautiful. Many choices for dinner. The steak house and Japanese were my favorites. Loved Mike's coffee shop. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beach could use some repair work from storm damage but the sand and water colour were amazing.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Needs some TLC

We went with a group of eight people and had booked four rooms. The next day there was a strong odour of sewer gas in the two rooms. We went to reception and had the rooms changed with some persuasion. The beach was nice and staff was very friendly. Pool needed a little tile work repaired but was nice and big with the activities all on one side. Did not have any trouble getting chairs at the pool or beach.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great Resort!!

Beautiful resort!! The food was good, everyone was friendly!! We had no issues at all. Lots to choose from on the buffets. We went to the steak house (which was great) and the Italian a la carts (good also). No problem finding something to eat. Our room (3000 bldg) was central to the beach, lobby, buffet, pool and those two a la carts. It is a big resort and for some activities there is some walking involved. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort but very big

This resort is very well kept, the grounds are impeccable. Easy to get around with the trolley's going every few minutes. The rooms were nice but have a musty smell due to the humidity. The pools & beaches are beautiful. The only thing we did not like was having to get up early to put your towel on a chair, or you would have a hard time getting one. (We were a party of four.) Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Love the Grounds since they improved Landscaping

I was disappointed in the fact that the Dining Area was not kept a little bit more clean, the staff only hoped to it a day or so before the rating charts were given out, and the next day the staff completely went back to slaking off.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Mostly quite good

Beautiful, manicured gardens and property. Gorgeous beach, deep, soft sand. Warm water. Pool areas excellent. Swim up bars great. Pool activities fun. Nighttime shows were enjoyable. Downfalls: Alot of complaints due to very old and decrepit rooms in parts of resort. Food is a hit and miss. Not good for foodies. Steak house quite good. Generally great review. But cross your fingers for a newer room. Apparently big room renovations coming sept 2016..would recommend after that time.

Grand Palladium Palace: great resort

grounds are beautiful.....rooms kept very clean but definitely not geared for people with minor disabilities(ie: bathrooms).....pools had green algae growing in grout lines of tiles.......beach is absolutely a 5+..........doctor Juan at the clinic is a great doctor and shows much concern and passion for the tourists at the resort(would rate him 5+++)......loved not having to make reservations for a la carte restaurants (paging system for table is superb)......staff was very nice and friendly alt [... read more]hough often there was a communication barrier with language......food was excellent...........vendors with tables on the resort are a little aggressive and will not allow patrons to look over the wares leisurely..........bar tenders need to learn how to mix drinks (most of drinks were too strong or not at all what was ordered).......thanks for the free peanuts and olives at the lobby bar

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Beautifully kept resort and amazing people!

Sirenis was an amazing experience. The resort is clean and well kept. The food was adequate and the beach and pools are beautiful. The only downfalls of this trip were the rude bartender who ignored me once I refused his proposal; as well as upon checkout I used my VISA (in the hotel lobby at reception) - only to be notified the next day (at home) that my VISA had been compromised. Too bad as this was a nice resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort

My boyfriend and I were at this resort in Feb.2016 and absolutely loved it. There was nothing you could not love about it. The rooms where clean and spacious. Although no fancy design with the towels... Food selection was endless Beach was clean, service was great and you could always find a beach lounge. Staff was friendly and helpful. we would certainly go back to this resort.

Occidental Punta Cana: Great resort

Have been to several resorts in the Punta Cana area in the past. Overall this rated up there. Good resort for families with small children. Rooms were spacious and clean. Wide selection of food in both the a la carte and and buffet. Overall, good value for the dollar.

Alsol Del Mar: Quiet, peaceful and relaxing....

Perfect spot to relax, unwind and chill. No loud parties or discos. Very civilized. Great food, staff and service. Loved it !!! Would like to back with the grandkids.... Great pool on the beach................"....................

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Resort

Ambar becoming larger with addition of Ambar2 and Ambar3.Great a la cartel restaurants. Grounds are beautiful. Employees are very friendly.can communicate in English. Lovely beach! Be at beach very early if you wish to secure a polapa.Have stayed at this resort numerous times.

Riu Bambu: Very disappointing food!!!!!

The resort itself is very nice with great grounds and well maintained spaces. The beach is great; lots of white sand and kilometres to walk and walk. The amenities are descent and the entertainment was very "entertaining". The food was very, very disappointing. I have had much better food in Cuba....and you know that is saying something. There was repetition of food items, the food was overcooked, had no spices. The wine is the absolute worst I have ever tasted. Years in the past we stayed at Ri [... read more]u Bachatta and after that Riu Negril and both those were excellent experiences. Not sure what is happening now with the Rius. Never going back. to a Riu.

Occidental Caribe: great property and layout

We walked the beach and did not find a property in the immediate area that Had as many waterfront rooms and ocean view rooms as this property. It was also very open and well laid out with a quiet pool and a more active pool with the swim up bar. You could not go hungry here however upon our return I was sick for 3 days. Can't blame the food for sure but ???? The resort could use some updating and does show its age to a degree. However,as previously mentioned all of the newer resorts in the area  [... read more]seem to string back away from the beach and you need to either walk a distance from your room or take a trolley to the beach or pool for that matter. Very few of them had oceanview rooms or oceanfront. Not at Barcelo Punta Cana. We had an oceanfront room that was awesome from a View prospective and a general feel of being on the ocean. We left the door open every night so that we could hear the surf hitting the shore. We could see the reef and boats in the ocean for miles. That's what we paid for. We can't say much about the nightly entertainment as we only went to one show. However that show was kind of lame and we left after about 20 minutes. They were showing an audience how to do salsa dancing and giving instruction. We satellite at the pool during the day. Japanese ala carte restaurant was the best and the sea food was probably the second best. I think we would go back here again but take Dukoral two weeks prior.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: An Excellent Resort

The resort is very well maintained and the gardens are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The public beach is excellent, very clean, albeit rough seas due to location. The food was excellent and many choices of places to eat. It would be nice to have known it is a good idea to book our restaurant reservations for the full week upon our arrival (i.e. for places outside of the buffet choices). The trolley services (transportation) around the resort are good, however it would be nice [... read more] to be able to go directly to some of the other resort properties without having to change at the Punta Cana Lobby. While there is signage in many places, beware of uneven curbs and the heights of stairs varies. If you are not used to going from a 4 inch step to a 12 inch step, you are in for a very nasty fall.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Amazing Time

Had a fabulous time and would definitely go back. Upon our arrival we were welcomed with a cold drink and towel. Check-in was fast and we were off to our room in no time. Since we arrived late in the afternoon we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool, but we made up for it for the rest of our 1 week stay. The rooms are broken down into 2 level buildings with 4 rooms per floor. We stayed on the first floor near the pool. The bathroom has a large double shower. We did have a problem with the water  [... read more]temperature in the shower…it was either hot or cold. The room has a 2 step walk down to an area with couch, chair, coffee table, bar fridge and desk. The beds were very comfortable. Very few English channels on the TV but then we didn’t spend very much time in our room. This property is huge and great for people who like to walk and explore. The grounds are impeccable and well maintained with very lush palm trees and other plants. Workers are constantly working on the grounds. The beach is breathtaking, you can walk for miles in white sand. We took advantage of the gym and used the facilities most mornings. The yoga room wasn’t very good as the air was damp so the floor and mats were very slippery. They need to invest in better mats. Big shout out to Argenis and Pedro for making the best Hummingbirds drinks at the swim up pool bar. The pool is huge but separated into different sections so adults can hang out by the swim up and children can swim in a separate area. The poolside grill was not very good. They served hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and fries. The food sat under heaters but it was usually cold. I like the idea where you didn’t have to carry a towel card. Bins were all over the place where you discarded your used towel and picked up a clean one at the towel station. I want to thank the entertainment team Noel and Jordan for getting us involved with activities in the pool. We participated in yoga, aerobics, paddling and the eco bikes. They also made our last night enjoyable dancing at the Gabi beach party. They have a large variety of food with 2 buffets and 9 a la carte restaurants. The food was very good. The watermelon and pineapple was the best I’ve had in a long time. We’re counting the days for returning next year. I recommend this resort to anyone that wants to have a really great vacation.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: An amazing time away from Canadian winter

The grounds are very nice. Considering this is an older reaort they are doing upgrades and additions to the grounds to freshen things up. No buffets only a la cart and no need for reservations which is awesome. Food was good always had something to eat, pizza was amazing and the alcohol was premium. Was auto rises the report offered Clamato juice as few on this island do. Rooms were a little tired but very clean. Staff was friendly and the nice ride from the airport was very short.
