Paradisus Rio De Oro: nice resort

the resort required repair do to the age ! and poor maitenance over the years. they should not charge for lobster dinner! the lobster is local the carabian. the internet should be open ! no password required.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Fourth time visiting!! Dec 7-14 2019

My boyfriend and I traveled to Valentin for the first time in April 2018. Weve been back 3 more times since then! This hotel is BEAUTIFUL and the pools are gorgeous and clean! One side of the resort is considered the "quiet" side where there aren't many activities and no loud music. Beautiful relaxing pool on this side, with a great bartenders, Ariel and Yoel (also sometimes at the beach bar) The other side of the resort is considered the "party" side, where they do activities by the pool in the [... read more] afternoon and play music all day! It's a riot. So whether you're looking to go relax OR party, you can do either at this resort and that's why we love it. The party pool bartenders Amauri and Dunier are the BEST. They are honestly the reason my boyfriend and I return to this hotel, we have grown so close with them and consider them family. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make your vacation the best possible. Calixto in the buffet and Roli in the privilege lounge were also amazing and have become great friends. The beach at this resort is absolutely stunning.....if you're a beach bum, this hotel is 100% for you. The staff at the beach were obviously amazing too, Freddie and Daniel at the beach bar, amazing guys! The food has improved quite a bit since our last visits, some of the best food in Cuba! The worst thing I could say about this resort is that its almost a 2 hour ride from the airport. But lots of cold drinks on the bus! And you get to see the beautiful Cuban towns. We will be returning for a fifth time :)

Barcelo Solymar: Solymar : 4 stars in 1970

Disappointing with all. From service to rooms. Yes rooms I had to change 3 times. First room no ac and no handle at the balcony door. Second no hot water. Third bearable. Not clean and with a strange smell. Avoid at all cost

Club Tropical: Will not put on weight

Food available was inedible. Really, I was there. Keeping in mind Cuba does not have much to work with as far as variety & quality. One will not starve as there is lots of restaurants all in walking distance. Drinks were very good. Service & staff wonderful. We were there for week of Dec. 7th Nice small hotel on the beach. Clean. Great location. Been there 3 times. Will be trying an other hotel next year only for the food factor.

Club Kawama: Small, not too busy, and nice beach

Overall good for price and season we went in. Travelled with my parents, wife and 2 year old. Food can be a bit cold. Beach is beautiful and property well maintained. Rooms are not the best but equipped with fridge and air conditioning. Servers and management was great.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Million Dollar Beach

I loved the layout and size of the resort. Everything was reasonably close by. The staff was friendly and extremely hard-working. All the facilities were in good repair and the lighting was exceptional at night. Food was okay. We were able to book 4 a la carte restaurants. At lunch we had access to the main buffet, a BBQ buffet near the beach, the snack bar or an a la carte Italian/pizza restaurant. We were close enough to walk to the nearby marina where there were restaurants, shops and an [... read more] artisan market. My 3 complaints would be: beach chairs are in need of replacement (most are sagging and cracked), no mint or lime and the wheelchair accessible door to the main buffet was blocked by a table (there were guests in wheelchairs and with walkers). Overall a wonderful holiday.

Sanctuary Cayo Largo: villa bellarena

resort was great-rooms spacious &well appointed . pool & grounds well kept. food was adequate if repetitive. staff very friendly. on bad sidebella isla not open so could not enjoy all features offered in sun wing brochure

Melia Costa Rey: The Pullman

The Hotel is quite lovely. The rooms were clean. We had a number of issues with our toilet and it was always promptly fixed. My daughter and I both got quite sick throughout the week and we weren't sure if it was from the food. On the last day I was violently ill and had to access to the doctor and nurse care on site and both were incredibly kind and helpful. The pools were clean but slightly cold. The beach was fantastic.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful beach

This resort is very small and cosy. Some rooms are update some are not. The food is ok Very little selection of veggies and fruit. The beaches are amazing. Alcohol selection is not good. The main bar had better vodka for one day. (Absolut). The CUBAN people are so friendly. Customer service elien. Probably spelled name wrong was super nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Memories Cayo Largo: Very pleasing stay

The resort was very good! Staff was nice, even to us first-timers!!! Room was good, beds, not so much but the overall feeling was great. Sure, there was a lack of OJ, tonic water or mint for Mojitos but still, the sun, the sea and the company was really, really nice! Will go back for sure!!@!

Playa Pesquero: Huge Resort

Everything about this resort is good or excellent except the food. The Seafood a la carte restaurant we didn't enjoy, but the Italian was very good. This is a huge resort so only book if you like to walk. The beach was fabulous, and the pools very nice. The entertainer at the pool was way too loud, you could hear her calling out the bingo numbers at the far end of the beach, near the new resort. Punta Peninsula Varadero: Quiet

I'm not sure if it was the time of year (first week in December) or the resort itself. Although the resort has potential to be good, there was not much going on. There was no problem getting a chair on the beach or at the pool because no one was there. The snack bar was rarely open and there was a beautiful open air restaurant that was only open for lunch twice during our stay. We heard that there were managers around that day. Its a good thing I like spaghetti but I will not be eating it any time soon. I've had my fill. The swim up bar was in a great location but not stocked to my liking. Again, its a good thing I like beer. The lobby bar did have a better selection. I only found 3 locations to go the the washroom on the whole resort. Maybe there is more? Be prepared for a cold butt if you are a lady. I will say that the maid did a great job with our room. I'm really not complaining because we booked this vacation last minute and the price was right. What was I expecting.

Melia Las Antillas: Peaceful Cuba Vacation

Hotel and grounds beautiful. Nice layout. Don't forget to make a la carte reservations. Stayed for 5 days. Cannot wait to go again. Amazing hotel staff. Hotel is a little older but very clean. Great stay and great service.

Melia Marina Varadero: Wonderful staff

Pros- staff are the best thing about this resort.....everyone works hard to make your vacation enjoyable -unlimited a la carted -the lobby bar is a popular gathering spot with good nightly entertainment -rooms very clean -nice boardwalk area with restaurants and shops next door at the marina Cons- we have travelled to Cuba on a number of occasions and have a realistic expectation regarding the food however this was our biggest disappointment.....many foods are the frozen variety and fresh i [... read more]tems are scarce -the supply of beverages was also hit and miss in that they often ran out of items in various locations on the resort ie) wine

Roc Barlovento: Very good hotel

Grounds are very well kept & food was decent for a 3.5 star in Cuba lots of variety.pool & beach we;re excellent. Wait Staff was also very good with excellent service & always friendly greetings.Cons:Staff in general on the Front Desk we;re not very helpful on getting 2 smaller problems with room resolved . Went to front desk 3 times for these items but no luck.This is an area that could use some improvement. Overall very happy with the resort & definitely will return.Kudos to the management.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Paradise found!

We have just returned from our 5th vacation at Valentin Perla Blanca ... we were married on the beach during our 3rd stay, and then returned with our adult children (27 &25, who also fell in love with this resort and want to return), and have spent the past 2 weeks for our anniversary. With the only natural sand beach remaining in Santa Maria after hurricane Irma, the beach is by far above the highest expectations! Roc Barlovento: Nice Resort

Enjoyed our stay at Barlovento, great location, very good service at the bars and dining room. We did not like the Mexican & Fusion restaurants, service was poor and food was cold. Great beach makes up for the small flaws.

Melia Cayo Coco: Friendly and relaxing!

2nd time at this resort but so many others we met have been there many times. The staff are amazing! They enjoy what they do and you can easily see the friendships they have formed with repeat guests. The food is great, the rooms are clean, the beach is beautiful and the entertainment is very good!! Can’t wait to go back👍

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Amazing time

Beautiful resort. Friendly staff. Had an amazing time. We will be coming back once a year. Weather was nice. Drinks were cold. Food wasn't the best but it is Cuba, Beach was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking to visit Cuba! Looking forward to our next vacation!

Sol Cayo Coco: Awesome

Great resort from checking in very efficient great room great staff above average food nice to see new manager around resort speaking to guests and staff quick response when I had a problem in my room which wasn't really a problem I just didn't know what I was doing but they showed me great night entertainment would definitely recommend I will be back keep up the good work
