Vista Sol Punta Cana: Worst Experience!

The beach was covered in thistle, and dirt, the paths were muddy,the food was bad, we had NO water for 3 of our 7 days and only cold for 2 more. I paid for gold club and had the worst time. Never again.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Family vacation

It’s very nice and friendly staff great service and food we enjoyed every minute of it it was fun for my family lots of fun programs for kids they want to go every year we celebrate my daughters birthday the help as with everything we needed we like to go back next year to thank you so very much

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Loved it!

We did diamond club, definitely worth paying for! We loved it, everything was within a 5 minute walk, pool, restaurants, lobby and beach. Staff and food was fantastic and our Butler Omar was so accommodating anything we wanted was granted. They say that no reservations are necessary for dinner but he made them for us to make sure we didn't have to wait. Only problem was it rained and it was overcast most of the week. Rained a lot for the last 3 days, can't control the weather! Resort made sure they kept everyone busy with something to do in the lobby. A lot of the night entertainment was supposed to be outside so they cancelled each night but the still had shows in the lobby which were great. All in all we had a great time and will definitely go back, of our many times (9 or 10) in the Dominican we liked this resort most of all.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Wonderful resort

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The grounds were very clean beautifully kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was awesome. Our room very lovely & spacious. We were very satisfied with our vacation. The only thing we found was the toilet paper in our room was sented, which caused issues if you have sensitive skin. Our butler was able to assist and found another product for us to use. Very pleased.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great resort, BUT.....

The resort was great, great for kids, we took our 3.5 year old and 9 month old. The a la carte were amazing. The buffet was pretty good too, there's something for everyone. THE BIG BUT..... We needed to see a doctor on the resort because our 3.5 year old got a fever, and the female "Doctor" there, said she couldn't treat her, and that she needed a specialist in town for her "throat infection", she refused to prescribe antibiotics, and when I pressed her about it, she said, I don't need a pre [... read more]scription, just go ahead and pick whatever you want. Then she said, but I have to warn you it could be some rare tropical sickness.... So if you want to take a chance with your daughter, go ahead and pick whatever you want. So a 30 dollar American cab ride into town 30 mins. then 4.5 hours in the hospital, and an armed guard at the door ensuring payment before we left. had to pay by visa and submit 520 American to insurance. Manulife would take 24-48 hours to confirm payment. Then another 30 dollar cab ride back to the resort in the dark. In my opinion, she should be Fired and charged with Fraud, and have her license suspended. I heard there is another doctor that works there, and that he's really good to deal with.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Good for price

Room is amaging. The jacuzzi in the balcony was best. Food is not completely satisfactory. The Barcelo Maya (Mexico) has much better restaurants. I think it is better to book as a Premium, otherwise you have to pay Wifi, reservation restriction at the restaurants, etc.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Very Disappointed

Hotel grounds are very pretty. We arrived with excitement of having a great week. Our first disappointment started in the buffet. Food choices were few and taste reminded us of food in Cuba. Very bland and dried out. The buffet was a very large area but food offered was presented on small plates and looked to be sitting all day. We chalked it up as a bad day for the buffet....but each time we went it was always the same presentation and food choices. We loved the beach and the pool areas. Bar Tenders were always friendly. Staff in the resturants were friendly but could barely speak English and caused frustration when ordering. Our biggest complaint on our stay was no room service for 2 days. We had housekeeping up til Wednesday and then it stopped. We told our Butler and he ensured it would get done. It was 8PM Friday that they finally came in to make our bed and bring us clean towels. Also note rooms are nice but heavy musty smell that air fresher does not remove. We spent an hour of our time on our last night explaining our concerns and need of service. Due to our frustrations we will not return to this facility or recommend to others.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Very good resort, and amazing service

It is a really good resort, specially for kids, really beautiful, and the service is very good too. The only thing I did not like so much, was the shows, some times really boring and the theater does not have a really good sound.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Place for the Price

I was very pleased with this resort. The ground were very clean and tidy and the beach was cleaned daily of seaweed. The theater was outside in the atrium of the resort by the pools. I had a room near the pool and every night I could hear very loudly the show from 0830 at night until 1000 and one night it went to midnight. This would not be an issue for adults, but I had a child who goes to bed at 800 and he found the noise very distracting. The food at the a la carte restaurants was amazing, the buffet was average; the deserts were tasteless. I was surprised that this resort does not have an ice cream bar, and the only time ice cream was offered was as a small desert at the a la carte restaurant. Also, trying to get a coffee at the breakfast buffet was trying to wrangle a horse. Most time I did not get a coffee until breakfast was finished as the staff who serve the coffee never seemed to be around. When you did see them and call them over you got a roll of the eye, but a coffee in your mug. However, the weather, the ground, the pool the beach were all pristine and my family had an amazing time at the resort. We did an excursion to ocean world and did the shark swim. This was an excellent place, and was definitely worth the money spent. DO NOT do the city tour with the cable car to the mountain excursion. Basically you are forced to stay in gift shops for 3 hours of the tour in which you pay for. They claim you visit a rum factory, an amber museum, and a cigar factory. These three spots are all gift shops which you are forced to stay in for half hour each place, then then take you to an actual gift shop, then another shop at the end to buy food (because it was 2 in the afternoon and food is not provided). The only parts of the city we saw was the cable car ride (rushed in and out), and a fort (we were given 10 minutes to visit). Basically you pay 45 dollars US to be trapped in gift shops.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: DISAPPOINTING!!

PROS. Very nice rooms, well kept beautiful grounds, rooms and resort kept very clean. CONS. Beach is NOT as pictured, has large breaker bags in water as to prevent erosion, however they were smelly and not pretty to look at if you had ocean view room!! Water was murky looking, not nice to go in. Pools were dirty and had many screaming kids. Grrr! FOOD was aweful!!! Same thing everyday and several restaurants closed for several days at a time! WTHeck! Towels were almost extinct everyday [... read more] even in Sun Club. SUN CLUB, well it was probably worth the extra $$ however they were always running out of premium liquor. The club pool was quite nice. They never told us about Club amenities when we arrived and put us in a room farthest from the Sun Club pool & lounge....took us a couple days to find that out. TIMESHARE GURUS.... they say its not time share but they are relentless! Spoils part of your vacation. It was one thing after another with this resort. I would not return nor recommend!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Vacation

Very nice hotel! The beach, food, and rooms were good and the staff made the trip even better. Jensy, Bryan, Ramon, and Julio are just some of the amazing staff that made my stay great! I will return!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great value in September

Good food. Staff helpful. Animation is friendly .variety of activities. Good value in September. Rooms good. Daily stocked Minibar is good. Beer pop. Water bottles supplied daily. Close to puerto plata

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Everything and more!

Hotel was great...The grounds are eye candy. As well as the other Bahia resorts we visited at night. Food,beach,staff and our private butler. (What can I say.) Very Nice.. I especially liked the ocean. It may have been too rough for some but for us it was perfect for body surfing. This was our 4th stay with the Grand Luxury Bahia Principe Company. We had a blast!

Excellence Punta Cana: Heaven on Earth!

The resort was beautiful and the food was on point. People on the resort were very friendly and quick with service. I have no complaints to make! I would like to thank Maya from Sunwing for helping us book this unforgettable trip. Thank you!!

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Excellente

The resort has more depth than width. It was much smaller than the Dreams La Romana. It was ‘compact’ but adequate. All the amenities were closer to the beach area; the Coco lounge (24 hrs) provided soup, sandwiches, deserts and a variety of coffee and tea. There were four a la cartes and the food was very good. We had preferred status so we had access to another restaurant for breakfast and lunch plus separate area on the beach for relaxing and bar and food service. I would recommend paying extra for preferred status. Across the road from the main lobby was the preferred area with access to snacks, drinks and internet and pool with jacuzzi and a kids pool. This area is furthest from the beach, so if you want to be close to all the other amenities get a room in building 60 and up.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Ok resort

This was are second stay at this resort and we will not return the beach was beautiful but the hotel it self is in need of some major improvement.Food was good lots of choices but next time we go to Punta Cana it will be at another resort

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Resort with top quality service.

This was my 3 rd visit to this resort and it didn't disappoint. There was a little damper on our trip as my friend had an accident in the ocean but the care and attention given to him was amazing. Special thanks to Athanasios, the butler( although he was not our butler he took care of us from making sure my friend had enough pillows to prop his arm on to all the pep talks), Michael the relations manager who would never pass us from the day of the accident to our last day without taking the ti [... read more]me to give me a hug and find out if we are ok, Hector at the Amber Green reception lobby was very kind and efficient in answering all our questions and taking care of our needs. All in all everyone from the lady cleaning the room (whose name I didn't get) to all the workers on the facility were great. The beauty and the cleanliness of the resort was there but the service provided makes it a 5 star resort. I have nothing negative to say about this resort based on my experience. Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Fantastic - as usual!

This was our 10th stay at Catalonia Royal Bavaro, We keep going back due to the friendliness and service we receive each and every time. As well, the food was super except for one dinner which the staff bent over backwards to remedy. We will be going back again next year. We feel 'if it's not broken - don't fix it'. Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing resort

Great island. Great beach area. Friendly and helpful staff. Resort is very clean. Well maintained. Food was great. Lots of variety and fresh. Good music. Service was great. They went out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
