Cayo Levantado Resort: Wonderful resort

Grounds were amazing and well maintained. Food was excellent. Room was large and very clean. Amazing ocean view. Stayed in villa 3. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Most of the could communicate in English or would get someone if they could not.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Loved every minute

The resort was breath taking. I loved every moment there. I didn’t want to leave. The staff was friendly. The food was very delicious. We arrived past dinner time but the hotel had some food waiting for us. The entertainment could have been more entertaining but other than that. Perfect.

Secrets Cap Cana: Secrets shouldn’t be a secret

This is my second time at secrets cap cana and we were not disappointed. I booked a swim out but only went in once. It’s nice to look at so I wouldn’t spend the extra money for that. The rooms are very nice. The bed is so comfortable. I never went to the beach but I saw them cleaning it everyday. I think The seaweed comes in when it’s windy. You will love the place. Enjoy

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Clean resort

The resort as a whole was nice. Very confusing to find your way around though. Not much of a beach, all washed away. The staff worked hard to remove the seaweed daily. Power went out daily. Spa coupons were NEVER available. Food was decent but bland. Rooms were always cleaned and resort was tidy. The entertainment was blah. Half of the staff were not very friendly. The other half great. Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Great Vacation!

This was our second trip this year to the Sensatori - obviously we like the resort seeing we chose it again when we wanted a relaxing week after a busy, stressful summer. The resort is fairly new, around ten years old so still clean and in great shape, modern and very well maintained. You'll never find glasses, garbage or cigarette butts/ash trays lying around. Couldn't have asked for a better location and room. The pools are great, clean, spacious; three swim up bars (1 in the main pool, 1 for the premium swim up room and 1 for the adult swim up rooms). Drinks are always great. Premium alcohol, delicious cocktails, cold water bottles and ice cream machines! Food is great! One of the reasons we love it here. Always something to eat - tons of selection at the buffet, different themes every night. Once a week they have an amazing beach party on the beach where they basically move the main buffet outside - really fun and great selection! Music and shows to boot. We didn't really try any a la carte, either time we visited. We travel with our toddler so reserving a time to eat at a restaurant then ordering and waiting for food defeats the purpose of vacation for us. The only exception is the burger place - no reservation needed and AWESOME burgers. Great menu. The coffee shop is also a fave spot. Great coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, ice coffees, smoothies, etc.... not too mention jars of cookies, and a fridge full of cake and pastries to choose from. Downside to the resort..... the beach..... the water is a bit too rough. Both times we were there we never saw anything but a red flag up on the beach. But the pools help make up for it. Also - strongly suggest doing the Saona Island excursion .... an awesome day on a catamaran on the Caribbean swimming in the turquoise blue waters where they filmed the Blue Lagoon... gorgeous! Great day in then ocean to compensate for the loss of swimming in an ocean at the resort. We also did the Nickolodeon water park this time - the concierge gave us free tickets - and it was fun ... our 2 year old had fun.. met the paw patrol, played in the lazy river and water park..... not so much for adults.. but great for the kids for the day or a half day. Don't book this resort if you hate kids. It's shared with the American Nickolodeon resort... so the are kids everywhere. The resort has adults only sections (restaurant, pool etc) but nonetheless, not an adults only resort.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Blue Bay Villas Doradas

The hotel was fantastic, staff were more than accomadating beautiful grounds and pools were great I loved the beach and the beach bar there was lots to do with great entertainment at night all around great vacation.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Great Resort

The hotel is currently under renovations. The restaurants, bar and entertainment crew was awesome. This is my third stay at Casa Marina and would definitely recommend it to others. Only real issue on this trip was checkin, the receptionist served a person in-front of us and than when our turn she served someone else, I experienced this twice. The other staff I've dealt with on this trip at reception were great. The pools and Jacuzzi were my favourite parts of the trip especially since the beach  [... read more]was closed off due to strong waves.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Great Resort

The grounds and hotel are exceptionally well groomed and maintained. The hotel is very clean and rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The food is excellent in all the restaurant's and service is excellent. All staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist. Entertainment throughout the day and night is varied and you can either partake or not. Only downfall is the vendors on the beach trying to sell their wares or trying to get you to go on excursions! Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Grand Bahia Principe Punt Cana

This was my second time at this resort. I had been there about seven years ago. They have changed the decor and it was very nice. Most of the time they were very accommodating but when we first arrived we had a long wait to get our rooms. We were in the royal golden which meant we should have had faster check in but we did not. The rooms were nice and close to the beach. I would totally suggest bug spray to be packed as there were a lot of sand flees which I am still itching from. The server was not pleased with our request but when we asked for management they moved us. Overall the weather was great so this helped to make the vacation acceptable. I would say that trip central was very organized with our booking and lots of info. I would use this agency again but I would not return to this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Absoluely amazing resort

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Yolisa in the buffet and Albert and Carlos on the pool bar. Rooms were clean, and the butler service offered more than you could use.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Wonderful family holiday!

The resort was everything we’d hoped it would be. The amenities were excellent, the rooms were modern and clean, great choice of pools, yummy food and excellent service. We traveled with a toddler and had a great time. Would definitely visit again!

Excellence El Carmen: Superb Resort experience... our best trip ever!

Firstly this superb holiday experience would not have been possible without the efforts undertaken by our Trip Central travel agent, Ash Faramarzi. It was Ash who ensured that the room selection from the travel carrier was set up properly, aircraft seat selection, insurance package and resort package upgrades were all taken care of. The service experience in this regard was superb... thank you Ash. The resort itself was a step above the rest and we have had many a trip to compare against...  [... read more]this vacation experience has surpassed them all (including our one trip to Sandals Jamaica). It is fair to note we had a superior room selection, oceanfront with roof top plunge pool; but the amenities included with the Excellence Club were a great value regardless of room category. Anyone considering this resort will not be disappointed, but it is worth mention that we did see some rooms far in the back that would not be our first choice. That would be the only slight-negative observation; but I am certain anyone in any room will enjoy this resort. Freedom to choose among the various dining choices without the need to make a reservation is a real bonus and our experiences were excellent. We only made use of the buffet once for breakfast on our last morning and even then, the experience was impressive. The concierge service was excellent, we very much enjoyed the special room service breakfast and the romantic evening dinner on the beach they set up for us Dinners on the beach of this sort are offered by many resorts, but this one had only a small number of couples (about 5) spread far enough apart with superior attention to service that it made you feel you were the only ones there. Special mention of the room service is well deserved... you just have to try it to believe it! Certainly not your average hamburger & fries or fruit salad affair. The meal choices and how they were presented may well exceed the sit down restaurant one would experience at any other typical resorts. Would definitely go back to Excellence El Carmen for sure! In fact we are going to try to the new Excellence in Jamaica in 2019. - - Travelled January 2018.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Telling it like it is.

chose this hotel because of the proximity to the town of Sosua and the beach. I also loved how it was all oceanfront, rooms, restaurants, bars, sitting areas and some jacuzzi pools. We love vacationing for ocean and beach and to be away from work and hustle bustle of life of course. Arrival and check in were swift. We were walking towards our room and we were going the wrong way, I thought. Never been here before but read reviews and forums on trip advisor and felt I knew what we had booked.  [... read more]We booked the beach side oceanfront and upgraded. The basic rooms were $150 more than reef side without the oceanfront and upgrade, so I was not impressed we were heading to the reef side. We got to the room and it was oceanfront and appeared renovated. Good enough. Later as we walked through the resort we realized the beach side was much more quite and nicer on the outside it did look empty the whole resort was fairly empty (during the week, wait until the weekend!) we were also place beside the pool which was extremely loud, if you like this kind of entertainment, you’ll be good, there was lots. We like quiet and relaxing. The beach was good for that. You do have to pay for an umbrella 150 pesos. No big deal but found it odd. We did go back to front desk to ask if we could be moved to the beach side and were told no, we paid for oceanfront and upgrade and that was what we got. This was true but I asked if we could even look and was told no. Next day we were asked if we did want to look at a room on beach side but it was still on the reef side and one extra floor up and exactly the same as the room we had. Oh ya no elevators if this is a problem for you. 3 and 4 story buildings. We kept our room, all good. Service here was non existent. We did realize how much we actually enjoyed the service we received at all other resorts we’ve been to. It’s quite nice to be waited on and cared about while on vacation. After a few days we came to the conclusion that there was possibly no service as we did not see anyone tipping, maybe staff figured why bother? We would tip and it made no difference so we stopped, we tip for service in Canada so if there is none? Anyway there was nothing to want, everything was self serve. Service was definitely there in the alacarte but not the friendliness and socializing we have received in other countries we’ve been. Staff stood and talked amongst themselves. Food at the buffet was good and lots of variety. The ala carte was horrible, there were 4 of us and we just walked right through to the buffet after. I ordered the salmon and yes I am aware salmon is a hit or miss if it’s not cooked to your liking but wanted to take a chance. Everyone had something different and no one could even eat their meal. My salmon was hard as a rock and I could pick it up as a solid piece. I could not cut all the way through it with a knife. There is not a lot to do if you are looking for things to do on the resort. Daytime activities in the pool for kids, teens and adults if that’s your thing, but not much in the eve. Friday night there was a band for an hour. At 10, too late for us, would have loved something like that after dinner. We are early risers and early to bed. Sun, ocean and alcohol makes for a tiring, early day. Speaking of alcohol, alcohol is alcohol if you are just wanting to get drunk, but if you want to enjoy a few drinks the alcohol is not very good. It actually gave me severe heartburn which I did not have before I got there and don’t have now. It would start as soon as I had a drink. Not very pleasant at all. On our last day we heard there was a premium alcohol bracelet, we saw no premium shelf alcohol nor knew anything about a premium bracelet. Normally this is not an issue for me but I would have paid due to the pain I was in. Also my husband is a tequila drinker and he did not think it was even tequila he was being served. The weekend! Oh my! Weekend is insane!!! A ton of locals come, the resort is pack, the buffet is a zoo! Never seen anything like it. The chaos, disorder. Not sure if the Dominican culture was to bud and have no courtesy or consideration for others or if they feel entitled but it was something else. No one was outright rude but, standing at the bar, waiting your turn, a local would just come up and shout out their order. Problem here too was that the staff would stop what there were doing and serve them. Cultural thing? Maybe we were all supposed to do that? Either way I was in no rush I was on vacation. The line up for the buffet on Friday night was at least 50 people waiting. The pools and jacuzzis were littered with straws and plastic cups it was kind of disheartening to see the garbage and amount of disregard for others and others property . All this said and done, we believe your vacation is what you make it and right reviews based on my likes, dislike, observations and thoughts to try to help others decide if this resort is for them. We had a fun vacation, did 2 off-site tours and went into town a few times. None of the negatives mentioned ruined our vacation. Will we return? I don’t think so, we normally don’t go to the same place twice but I hate to say no, we won’t. You never know.

Great atmosphere to relax. Beachside pools. Gourmet meals at four different locations. Waiter service to order meals around pool. Top shelf drinks. Long Beach to walk. Small and intimate setting.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Great resort-worth money

Renovations has done wonders for this place, the food and the staff were very helpful, the food itself was excellent all three meals per day enjoyed, with no after effects The rooms though we stayed in old building half renovated was clean & well looked after, the bar was open till 1am,every day featured new drink-had fun trying vodka,rum etc.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Fabulous resort

Everything was perfect. The staff were excellent! We found all the employees to be professional, helpful and genuinely friendly. The rooms, common areas and grounds were spotless at all times. They went all out for my birthday and made it unbelievably memorable.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort!!!

This resort was absolutely amazing from the food to the entertainment and the staff. I definitely recommend this all inclusive adults only resort. The only one complaint that i have was that our room only was cleaned in the late afternoon. So when coming back to the room after being at the pool or beach for most of the day we didnt have clean towels. Other than that, i was satisfied.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Fabulous resort

The resort was beautiful, clean, safe and lots of fun activities day and night. The restaurants were really good with exceptional service, it was a bonus that reservations did not have to be made at any time

Riu Republica: Can’t wait to go back

This was the best all inclusive I’ve ever been too and I travel a lot. Resort was clean, modern and staff very friendly. Plenty of activities to keep you busy if you want or lots of space to just relax and unwind . Loved the 24 hr sports bar so if you still wanted to stay up after the disco closed you could . Food was excellent and there were many restaurants to choose from so you didn’t eat the same thing day after day. We are already planning on our next trip back . Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: TRIP CENTRAL ROCKS - AMAZING RESORT

1st we have to say this was our 1st time booking through Trip Central and all of the staff were Phenomenal to deal with. Especially Melissa Alexander. They exceeded our expectations. Everything was in close walking distances, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The grounds and facilities were immaculately kept. Food phenomenal, bar staff exceptional and 2 mile long Beach was SPECTACULAR! Combination of Punta Cana soft Sand and Puerto Plata color, water was clear enough to see fish and snorkel everyday and WARM for being Atlantic Ocean 85+*. We also found the "Quiet pool" which most days we had to ourselves with our own bar tender and lifeguard Santos. The entertainment staff really focus on audience participation. Only draw back was a little lacking of things to do or places to go if you are a Night Owl. Very Family Friendly resort. WE WILL BE BACK!!
