Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Great place but very large

Lots to do and experience. Because of its size and especially the main building ,I felt it lacked a tropical feel. Rooms were great-large and beautiful. Grounds and beaches were very well maintained. We were at a convention and the facilities were excellent. Restaurants very large ,service fast but I felt they lacked a certain warmth to them. Last comment- turn down the A.C.-everyone was cold.

Ancora Private Residence Yacht Club and Marina: Exceeded our expectations

Beautiful marina resort! Food was great! Service was professional! Extremely clean! Spacious suites! Would definitely recommend for those who don't need a beach and are not looking for a party resort.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Beautiful beach and good service

Everything was well-kept and the food was also delicious The staff was attentive and answered all of our questions about anything we had! The entertainment was also decent and there was a lot of choice for food and restarants.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: relaxing resort

the ride from the airport to the resort was very quick. As soon as we got to the resort, the check in was friendly and we had to wait maybe a half hour, which was no problem as they had a bar there. We sat and enjoyed some tasty island drinks, and the cool island breezes coming off the ocean. Walking into our room we were pleasantly pleased. The grounds were beautifully manicured, and there were workers constantly cleaning the resort, and always had a big smile on their faces. The only thing that bugged me was the ignorant tourists who would just drop their drink cups on the beach. REALLY. The beach was totally amazing and clean, as for a bit of seeweed that would wash up every night. At 7 am every morning, they had a young fellow out with a tractor to clean up the majority of seeweed. We spent most of our time on the beach as it was beautiful. The water was amazing and cool. It has a long stretch of beach where thousands of tourists walked it everyday, but it never felt crowded. The buffet was great, as it had a wide variety of food, and real bacon. The guy at the omellete bar was so amazing and friendly, he made my day every morning. The evening buffet was excellent also. They had a Chinese station at buffet, where u pick what u would like to eat and mi amigo cooks it while you watch. Definitely do the al cartes, as they were to die for. My favorite was the Italian restaurant, but they were all great. The grill at the Bucenero by the beach served burgers, hotdogs, chicken, French fries, and pizza, which were very good. The grill was busy constantly. The workers at the resort were very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that they have guys there trying to get u to do a timeshare meeting, but once you tell them no gracias, they seemed to leave you alone the rest of the week. The excursions at the resort were very reasonable We watched the night shows every evening and the team sure do a great job and make everyone feel welcomed. This said, I would like to say that if you want the big night life, this is not the resort for you. We have been to both large chains, and small. This was absolutely a smaller resort, but also an excellent vacation. Within 5-7 minutes you could walk the whole resort. Which is nice because we never once waited in line for drinks, or at the buffets. Thanks VIK for making this an amazing and much needed vacation

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great resort with outstanding service.

Although as many people have stated the rooms could do with an update especially bedding and furniture. I thought the size and amenities of the room was grest. We were in room 2127 which was close to the beach as we had requested. The room was always spotless with beautiful towel art every day. The beach was gorgeous lots of chairs. The pool was loud and really not our style but we were happy to be at the beach anyway. The staff at this resort is it's best asset.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Amazing time !

I would definitely recommend this resort. Lots to do (or not do if you wish). The staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, beautiful maintained beach and pools. My only recommendation is for the fridge to be better stocked - only pop and water provided, no other beverages. We were there for 2 weeks and we wanted to stay longer!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Fabulous!

The resort was really beautiful and clean. The food was amazing! Excellent selection at the buffet. The steak at the Steakhouse Restaurant was perfect. My mother-in-law is an Italian Chef and she said the Risotto at the Italian Restaurant was her favourite meal! The Spa was incredible-luxurious and relaxing.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Very Enjoyable

Stayed Jan 2016...wonderful holiday, staff was very nice and accomadating. Beach was outstanding and the food was good however a little bit more variety would have been nice. The room we stayed in was just ok...clean but needed updating. Although we did not spend too much time in the room so that was ok. Resort grounds are outstanding!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort

The resort grounds were very well kept. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our trip and would return to the resort again. The staff were very friendly ecpecially Manny and Carlos our bartenders for the week. The food was good, we tried several alacartes. We very much enjoyed the Gardenview Grill.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: good family resort

clean rooms, friendly staff, not enough restaurant choices, and not enough chairs around the pool when the resort got busy towards the end of the week, lots to do for the kids, would not recommend for a couple without kids. beach was beautiful but way too crowded

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellent Resort

This was our first trip to the Excellence. We have travelled many times to the D.R. and this was by far the best trip that we had. The food and service could not have been better. Can't wait to go again.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Great Resort (rooms need updating)

The resort grounds, pools and beach very nice and well maintained. Buffet food is average, some good choices on certain days, but obvious reuse the next day. The staff are generally very attentive, plenty of bar staff. The front desk were helpful. The bedrooms mostly need updating, there are some renovated rooms. We changed room after complaining and ended with a very nice room. The orginal room had many issues. The evening shows were great, after which there was either latin dancing or some oth [... read more]er entertainment. The disco was good, mixing some latin music with modern hits.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Amazing!!

We had an amazing time, the food was top notch and highly recommend the Hunter steak house. The pools were great and the beach was beautiful. We enjoyed going to memories to the waterpark, we all had a blast. The hotel was beautiful and the whole resort was very clean. My only complaint was the beach was a bit crowded and did not enjoy getting harassed everyday in our hotel to buy their time share. Overall would go back in a heartbeat.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Wonderful resort

The resort was just beautiful, more in the modern side. What impressed us the most is how clean the resort was ,there is a lot of glass at this resort and we always saw someone cleaning. We got exactly what we had asked for ocean view room ( partial) it's just the way the resort is setup. The room was large and well appointed again alway clean. The only thing there were no elevators so if you have difficulty climbing stairs ask for a ground level room. The beach was gorgeous but a little crowded [... read more] for the diamond club guests,I think guests came out in the middle if the night to reserve the beds. The food was really good, the marche had everything a person could want, any kind of steak to almost any kind of fish...cooked in front of you. The cheese selection was outstanding. Ever night there was entertainment either outside or in the theatre...very good.the only thing that we could not get used to was people smoking every where I wished they had a designated area for smokers!!

Punta Cana Princess: Beautiful resort

This resort was beautifully kept. From the grounds to the entryways and hallways cleanliness was number one. The staff were a delight. They were always helpful with anything you needed. The food was great with a wide and varied selection.

Punta Cana Princess: Totally Awesome

This resort was beautiful as I remembered, from checkin to getting into our rooms everything was perfect! One thing that I didn't understand was that we paid for an ocean view which we could see the ocean from our balcony and we were okay with that but my sister and husband also joined us and they didn't pay the extra for an ocean view and had a building closer to the beach and a better view then us! So not sure why we weren't put in that building but other than that it was perfect. Weather was pretty good to, we only had one day that was raining and we went to the pool but other then that we are beach people! Beach was fabulous walked for hours and enjoyed every minute of our second time there!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Beautiful lush grounds.

Loved all the pathways through this very large resort. The trees and gardens are very large and stunning. The zoological walkway was a nice added touch. This is the best beach in Punta Cana. We have travelled to 6 other resorts in this area. The service was good. The rooms nice except the beds, which were hard as rock. We never had a good night sleep because of this. It would also be better to have proper chairs and a table on the balcony or patio as the lounge chairs provided were uncomfortable [... read more]. The food was fairly decent. The staff very friendly, but there was this one Royal club sales person who was very rude and annoying every day when we left breakfast. His name is Danal or Danil I believe. When a person tells you that they are not interested this should be accepted and guests should not be hassled. Most of these sales persons were good about it except for Danil. We did get a pad for our bed but it was very thin and not much help. It is a large resort, but many trolleys to help if you do not want to walk. The casino is modern too.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Good for the price

Pros- smaller resort, all pools, restaurants and ocean extremely close walking distance. The lobby was a bit further but still a short 2-3 minute walk. Judith and Kiara in the lobby- amazing, any issues they dealt with quickly and with a smile! VIP status- definitely do this- adds a massage, bottle of rum, robes which were awesome!, coffee maker, beer in the room, welcome basket and cigars, more a la crates, and premium drinks (ie Smirnoff, absolute and bottled Miller beer). Food was quite good, [... read more] Mexican fajitas and chicken Parmesan were great. And awesome fries at beach bar. Mostly friendly staff, lady at the beach bar not so much. Grounds were well maintained and lush. Cons- suites extremely tired and outdated. We switched to a superior room (which is supposedly a downgrade) but it was exactly as it looked on the site and was awesome, only drawback was it didn't have a bathtub only a shower but that was fine with us. the sewer smell on the path to the lobby. I had to take the "bus" most times to get thru quicker and with something covering my mouth and nose. Water pressure in showers, doesn't matter which floor u are on, it is weak. Nightly entertainment was ok, no better or worse than the usual resorts. Day staff did lots during the day to get people involved- bubble machine in the pool, miss bikini, volleyball, water balloon toss, yoga, beer drinking contest etc. Overall it was good for $1400 but I've been to much nicer ones in punta Cana, but of course they were more money. you get what u pay for. I would recommend it to those on a more limited budget until renovations have taken place.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Average Resort

The first time we arrived we were starving and was encouraged to eat before we checked in . The food was horrible and inedible and we thought we had made a major mistake in travelling (terrible feeling to think the whole vacation was going to be like that on day 1) The food did get a little better but mid way through the vacation I got terribly sick with food poisoning to the point I was hospitalized for a day and a half resulting in us missing our excursion that we could not get our money back  [... read more]from. When we complained we got the standard line that they have quality controls on the food they prepare and no one else was sick but if others complained they would let us know....right! We also fell prey to their "orientation" which did not last the 90 minutes but the whole day with pressure sales to sign up for their time share although they don;t call it that. I did sign up but then called to cancel the next day which was another wasted 2 hours as they continued to convince us we were doing the wrong thing. They ended up charging us $500 canadian to get out of the contract! As a result our vacation was not a vacation as I really could not enjoy the all inclusive as i was placed on a restricted bland non alcoholic diet for 15 days . Don't waste your time and money. There are many other wonderful places and resorts where you truly can have a vacation

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: ok

Friendly staff,understaffed at times,food was ok but certainly not 4 star 3 star at best ,,a la cartes equalled buffet ,nightly shows and entertainment was excellent , we booked cocotal got tropical neither room was any better than 2.5 star ,first room we wouldnt stay in more than first night spent few hours next day getting somewhat better .resort could be 4 star if they renovate all rooms to date standards as the resort is 50 yrs old .
