Ocean Blue and Sand: Fantastic vacation

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The resort is well maintained. The rooms could use refreshing, but were comfortable. The food was wonderful with plenty of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to friends.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Beautiful facility

Extremely clean. Superior food. I loved the variety of restaurants to choose from each day. Lots of activities and good entertainment. We especially loved the piano bar. The beach was excellent except for the fact of the erosion which sometimes made it difficult for us to actually get down to the water. However not very far away there was better accessibility.

Ocean El Faro: Fantastic trip

The good: the rooms, a la Cartes . tennis courts. bowling. pools. jacuzzi. El Beso section. the buffet. ice cream shop. Mike's cafe. the bars. the staff etc etc. We pretty much loved everything about it and had minimal problems to complain about. (problems all of the caribbean face we will not complain about such as bugs weather. time share people etc). The not so great: the timeshare BS is very annoying . learn quick how to spot then and avoid them. the duty free shop prices were mental.  [... read more] the bowling and the ice cream shop opened in the mid afternoon like 330 or 4. should be open from lunch on at the hottest part of the day in case u want an ice cream or get out of the sun for a bit.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great Resort. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this resort! Let's start with our room. We are a family of 5 so definitely need lots of space. Two queens and a pull-out couch was plenty with ample room to move. We stayed in a privilege suite facing the back of the hotel. Great view of the jungle from the Jacuzzi tub on the balcony! The bathroom sinks were leaking underneath but we made the call and they had it fixed when we returned to dinner that night. Overall, enjoyed the room. The resort was a nice size. Daisy pool for the kids, adults only pool, privilege pool for a quiet hang, beach pool and the Eden pool for lots of activities and fun. Lots of variety! We all loved the breakfast and lunch buffet but a little disappointed with dinner buffet the two times we went. A la cartes were great...especially the Italian restaurant. There is always some sort of entertainment/ activity in the evenings. We loved Mexican night on Sunday and the bowling alley was awesome. No complaints about the staff. Everyone was great! The only a la carte that needed a reservation was the Japanese restaurant. We liked not being tied to a dinner time every time we wanted a la carte. Made for a lot more flexibility. Our only complaint was the way they make the reservations for the Japanese restaurant. They can only be made the day you want to go, first thing in the morning with an hours window. Beach was nice. There are definitely rocks, as we're in the Mayan, but not a lot. Water was nice and not a lot of seaweed.

Playa Vista Azul: Very Nice Resort

The rooms are beautiful, clean and well kept. The staff is excellent and the shows are great. The food is very good, but it is definitely worth booking privilege. You will be well looked after here .

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good bang for your buck

Booking the rooftop room at the privilege section was worth the money. The restaurants had a good variety. The Mexican was our favourite and the least favourite the steakhouse. Great addition was the coffee shop and ice cream shop. The lobby and lobby bar were not so inviting because the ceiling is so high and the noise goes around. Great that there are 5 big pools including a nice kids water park. The beach is nice. There was no seaweed but I advise to bring water shoes because if the big roc [... read more]ks in the water. Great waiter service at the beach. Downside are the people that try to get you in the H10 membership. To be a member for 25 year the want you to pay almost $40,000 Canadian. Payable in 5 years with a down payment of 35% at 13% or 50% down at 8%. Than you gave a free stay for one, two or three weeks a year but you “only” need to pay for the all inclusive and service. That will be between $40 and $199 per person per day. Mid January which is low season the day price was $140. When you go for two weeks as a couple you pay $3920. Add on your flights and transfers and when you do the 35% at 13% interest is $565 per month is $6780 for the first 5 years. Conclusion: your vacation will cost you at least over 10K for the first 5 years. Don’t get fooled.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing place!!

Travelled to this resort in Jan 2020 with 8 adults and 5 children ages from 8 months to 8 years. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this resort was!! Rooms were beautiful and clean. Grounds were well kept and clean. Multiple pools also impeccably clean. Kids water park was great. Buffet was good to very good. Restaurants were great. Sand is so soft and water was pretty calm. I would definitely go back.

Ocean El Faro: Nice & New All Inclusive

Pros: Beautiful, new rooms and facilities. Restaurants are casual dress and do not require reservations which allows you to visit a different restaurant every night. Nightly entertainment was different. So many pools with daily activities or chose a pool that is calm just to relax. Snack bars were great. Cons: Time share-from morning until mid afternoon if you visit the lobby bar, expect to encounter people trying to get you to sit down and hear their timeshare presentation. (We avoided this)  [... read more] The beach is nice, lots of seating/lounge chairs, however the water was unsuitable to swim. Most people went to the lagoon area about 20m off resort property.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Wonderful Resort

A beautifully kept and sprawling family/adults only resort. This resort incorporates everything one requires to have a great stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff pleasant and accommodating. Our hope is return again.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Clean & Great Food

Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week. The resort was well laid out with pool options for everyone's wishes.The rooms were up to date, clean, daily stocked fridge and had the most comfortable mattress. The food was very good and with several restaurant options in addition to the buffet, with only one a la carte that required a booking, the Japanese teppanyaki due to 'show' times. The only shortfall was the arrival package that should have had a full colour facility map (received a black & white c [... read more]opy that was so reproduced that it was unclear) and towel cards. Even when we discovered the need for towel cards at the pool, we had to trek back to the front desk only to wait for the towel hut to bring some up to the front desk for distribution. All in all, I would definitely entertain a re-visit to this resort!!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great Vacation

Hotel was nice although it wasn't full...we had 3 women to a room and thought they could have given us at least 2 beds instead of one king and we had to ask for an extra beach towel and room towels...resort was clean and staff was amazing...love the bar service on the beach, that is a huge plus to me...first time I have done no reservation a la carte dinners but I like that idea, no waiting in a big line to reserve your dinners, first come first serve...maid service was terrific...had a beach pa [... read more]rty which I love unfortunately the rain closed it down...this resort is one of the better ones, food was good except the bacon looked grey and not cooked...I have stayed at better and worse but it is definitely one of the better resorts in Varadero

Playa Vista Azul: Great resort

The rooms were kept very nice and the pools and beaches were great. The food at the buffet was not very good but the a la carte restaurant were better. Overall the resort was nice but needed better entertainment and more activities.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Superb Resort!

The Ocean Riveria Paradise resort was great! super clean, lots of fun stuff to do and so many different restaurants we were never bored. The beach is beautiful and bars were a plenty. I would recommend this resort to anyone who likes sun, fun and palm trees!

Playa Vista Azul: Clean and elegant!

The resort is a good size..not to big or small. Although there may a bit of mobility issues getting to and from the bigger beach (uneven stairs) The food was decent for Cuba, could always find something to eat!! You are at the staff's disposal, they try their best to do everything you absolutely need. We didnt get coffee in our room until day 5 tho..which was upsetting but they do have a coffee bar open at 7am The nightlife was so so. The shows started very late. Very nice people but very slow at bartending There are 2 beaches..a small one which is shared with resort next door and a fairly large one which is also shared. Can get very busy because you cant use chairs past the roped off for other resort. If you're lucky enough to find a spot both beaches are absolutely gorgeous!!! We spoke to quite a few ppl who are return customers year after year.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Awesome vacation

Everything about the resort was excellent ! Rooms were modern, the themes of restaurants and quality of food was very good. Drinks and service were excellent. Pools and bars were large and fun, activity staff was excellent, Beach was narrow right in front widened within steps either way. Overall our trip to this hotel was excellent and we would return. We have been to many different places in DR and this was a great one!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: clean hotel, food good not exceptional

Staff - very friendly One day there was construction in morning and it disturbed our sleep. This went on for a few hours Bell servers very accommodating - Carlos provided exceptional service did not go on any excursions but did visit Playa delCarmen for a few hours. the food was better outside of the hotel

Ocean Blue and Sand: Cockroaches and room not what we booked

We booked sapphire pool view room which we had to argue for when we went to check in, we requested ground floor and close to pool thru our travel agent and I sent an email they had no record. 2 of the restaurants were closed every evening so the lineups were long at the other 3 after 630pm. We had to tip to get a few extra pops and beers in our room, never did see the the slippers but when we went to have a rest the 2cnd day we heard something under the bed it was a cat, scared the heck out of  [... read more]me ,so we had to lift the bed to remove the cat, couldn't leave the patio door open because our room was the cat hang out they would just walk in. Every nite they you could hear them fighting would wake you it was so loud. The food wasn't great but it was edible I didnt eat the fruit and salad because 2 people in our group sick and people on resort sick. The smell of sewage near the room was sickening. Mike's coffee shop was good. The casino was terrible do not enter! At nite you can watch a show at 10pm or go pay for bowling but 2 lanes are broken so good luck. Kids hangout There is music in the lobby band plays there you can listen to or once a week a drunk beach party! I wish I could put a picture of the cockroaches! The tv is maybe 32" the wifi is pretty good . Thank goodness because I watched my firestick since only 2 English speaking channels The staff was pleasant Air transat rep useless

Playa Vista Azul: My absolute favourite resort!!

This was my second time at this resort and I will definitely be back again and again! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well kept! The beaches are beautiful and so clean! The food is always delicious and I will honestly miss the pizza so much! Haha! The rooms are comfortable and kept very clean! But the best part of this resort are the people! The staff here are amazing! They are always so helpful and friendly! Being someone who likes to have fun, the entertainment staff and bartenders [... read more] definitely made my vacation so much fun! Specifically Ariel, Yos, Livia, and Lelani at the swim up bar! They always had me and my friends laughing and having a good time! Felix, Carlos, Guss, Giselle and the entire entertainment staff kept us dancing and having the time of our lives! They are amazing at what they do and I cannot wait to come back to continue with all the fun! I love it here and I honestly can’t say enough good things about it! I will definitely be back before the year is over!

We had a family wedding as part of our vacation. every detail of our special day was looked after perfectly and professionally.this is a world class destination. The food was delicious and the meal for the wedding was exceptional. Thanks to all staff and any one involved.
