The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: an amazing experience for my first all-inclusive

grounds were very well maintained and the staff were so welcoming. Everyone wanted to everything to make the vacation so enjoyable. I'd go back tomorrow if I could but hopefully next year will be good.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Poor Food

Resort was good over all, food was not good. i would not go again at this resort, but for the money I paid was definitely worth it. I have been to Dominican 3 times before and I so far I like la Romana the a best. Hope this advise helps.

Grand paradise Samana is a lovely relaxing spot to unwind and relax. The staff at this resort are simply amazing always pleasant and nothing is ever too much.I cannot wait to go back.Booking with Trip Central was easy and efficient will definately use them again for my next vacation

Cayo Levantado Resort: Absolutely first class resort

Beautiful grounds, great swimming options including ocean and large pools, fantastic food, top notch service. Quiet resort, and not the place if you are looking for any wild parties. Clients were middle aged+, but there were a few younger couples. This resort would be extremely hard to beat.

Beautiful resort. Great service. Very quiet and relaxing. Never had to wait for anything. Plenty of chairs by pool and beach available every day. Good food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing vacation.

Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: WOWZA!!

This resort is beautiful! The view is breath taking and the staff makes it so enjoyable!! The food was good- especially at the A la Carte restaurants, but the buffet didn't really change over the week. Wifi is included, but you need your own electronics to use it for free, otherwise it is $8 USD for the hour on their computers.

very kid friendly, beach clean, sea not too rough. good buffet with big selection of types of food. staff very friendly. very clean public areas. for the most part, prompt response from the staff for most issues.

Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: Good Trip

This resort has amazing views from other resorts we have visited. The staff and other vacationers were very friendly. Kudos to Alex with all his energy and good energy that he passes on to everyone. Keep up the good work as you will go places. Grounds are very well kept. Rooms are showing their wear and time for an update. The beds are very hard and need to be replaced. Overall great time and will visit again!

Everywhere we went, the grounds were spotless. The staff were so much fun and always there to help. There was a huge variety of foods to choose from and everything was so fresh. The rooms were big and clean. The views from this location were spectacular.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Beautiful Resort

The Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado is truly a luxury resort. It is situated on an island surrounded by lush, tropical forest and gardens. Cayo Levantado Resort: Absolutely amazing and beautiful resort

The resort was private and fantastic in every way. We had no complaints at all. The room, restaurants, staff, grounds etc were above and beyond my expectations. I am not a resort kind of person and have had some bad experiences at other resorts. We will be coming back to this resort for sure next year. The travellers and management photos were spot on...to be honest the management photos were most like the resort is like than the travellers photos. Very impressed with every part of our stay.

The amenities around the resort are great. The grounds are well kept and very beautiful to walk through. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help even with their limited ability to speak English. The beach was beautiful. The food was very good in the buffet restaurant and the a la carte restaurant offered tasty and we'll presented. My husband and I would definitely go back again.

I went with a group of 10, all with high expectations. I can honestly say that we all left with not one complaint aside from our holiday ending! The staff are all so kind and go out of their way to remember you, always with a smile and wanting to ensure you are enjoying yourself. Having said that there is a wall mounted make-up mirror that is a treat. We checked and the bathrooms were very clean both in our rooms and the other ones as well. This certainly would not keep any of us from returning, it is just a suggestion to strive for all around excellence!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good resort for a quiet get away!

The El Portilla was a nice quiet resort with a beautiful beach, good food and very good service. The resort itself was well maintained and clean and the junior superior suite we stayed in was spacious and clean. The resort was small enough to walk around without difficulty but large enough so you could find quieter areas to sit and relax. The beach was beautiful with a reef just 10 feet out to snorkel around. The reef provided a nide sheltered area for swimming so there was never any problem goi [... read more]ng into the water. I have been to the DR 7 times 4 of which to Samana and this resort is my absolute favourite. Breath taking views, very clean and fabulous meals and staff. I would recommend this resort. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel is very well looked after. The grounds are neat and tidy and rooms are in good shape. The staff in the hotel bar, beach bar, restaurant and a la carte were superb! So much fun and provided great service. The housekeeping staff were exceptional, my room was always well stocked and clean. My only disappointment was that I believe the front desk staff tipped a local about me going into town to get some money. In the end it made me so nervous that I ended up abandoning and coming back to the resort. When I approached the front desk staff to talk about what occurred, a new person was behind the counter and he just laughed and said that man that followed us to the bank must have just liked us. I would also caution that this resort is pretty quiet at night, we traveled as a group of 10 women and were there to have a fun get away, but no night life after 11:00 as most people at the resort are couples. We were also "shushed" at the buffet for being too boisterous.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Great value for money, Beautiful Surroundings

This was our 21st all-inclusive resort vacation, the 4th to the D.R., but the first to Samana. The gorgeous undeveloped jungle and mountainous terrain made this area our favourite in the D.R. by far. This was the first resort in the D.R. where we felt perfectly safe walking to town for half a day, and we did so twice. The resort itself is as we expected from reviews: - very average but clean rooms, the maid service was excellent, and everything worked. The room safes are an extra charge ($15 US  [... read more]I think), and you have to ask for a TV remote at the front desk. - The pools are small but functional, our room in block 5 had the quiet pool and bar right outside, very handy. The main pools have music, but nothing too loud or annoying. There is no swim up bar if that matters to you. - The beach is a narrow ribbon of sand about 20-30 ft wide in a quiet bay, water is nice and calm for snokeling and kayaking. There is quite a bit of seaweed, but that's nature. Leading up to the beach there is an expansive area of beautiful palm trees and grass, where most people hang out on loungers - if they can get one. The resort is short 150 or so loungers, and if you haven't claimed one by 7:30am (not kidding!) You won't get one. - food - excellent buffet with lots of made to order stations - omelette and crepe station at breakfast, cook to order steak or seafood at dinner, great beach snack bar as well as buffet for lunch -the a la carte restaurants (Italian and Seafood) were weak, the buffet is actually better. -all of the restaurants and bars are understaffed, you can wait a long time for drinks. As well, there is very little English spoken by the staff. - The evening shows are top notch, we especially enjoyed the fire twirling show in the pool, 15 high energy entertainers with flaming torches and great choreography, very exciting. - There are lots of activities - archery, aerobics, billiards, volleyball, ping pong, watersports etc. You can be active or lazy. In Summary: beautiful grounds, safe, decent food, understaffed but those who are there work hard, and a gorgeous relatively undeveloped area of the DR. At any price point under $1000 tax in it is a great value.

everything was great just lacking lounge chairs should be more of them. The food was great the pools were great . the beach was awesome and the people that work there are amazing. And will definitely be going back.

This is a beautiful resort. This was the first trip my kids went on, they are 19 and 21 and they had a blast. The staff was great especially the entertainment crew by the pool! The food was amazing, the resort was very clean and AMAZING scenery!! Overall .. An amazing week!!,

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Paradise waits you!

This is our second time to this resort and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. A wonderful place to relax and totally unwind. The beach is simply fantastic and is never ending. The water is stunning in its colour and certainly makes you want to go for a swim or just to cool off, not to mention the colourful fish that can be easily seen with or without a mask. We were very pleased with our accommodation in bldg 26, which is new. A little wd40 on the squeaky hinges would be a good idea. Plenty of room and nice size bathroom. We enjoyed all the al la carte restaurants, especially the Brazilian which was very entertaining. The staff were excellent with their service and very friendly.
