Riu Santa Fe: Perfect get away

This resort has it all. The busy active pool(the one in the pic) is by block seven. Great if that is what you are looking for. The other pool (located in the center of the other blocks) is quiet and relaxing. Always plenty of chairs and shade there. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The selection of food was great and I loved the fresh fruit cart that was brought to the pool every day. Rooms were clean but far from fancy but I don't go on vacation to live in my room. It would have [... read more] been nice however to have a coffee maker for first thing in the morning. If you want a ocean view request block seven. Also, block seven is the only block with an elevator. The spa was wonderful but overpriced. I had a hot stone massage which was marvelous. There is a sauna, steam room and jet pool located in the spa that is free to use. This resort had wonderful friendly staff. Just one thing to think about is time of year you visit as this area seemed to attract a large amount of young people who were celebrating the end of school. No problem for me as I preferred the relaxing pool.

Tesoro Los Cabos: Never a Bad day at the Wyndham Cabo Resort :)

Terrific! from the booking, to the airline service to the transportation to and from the resort to the front desk staff to the clean room with a fantastic view to the food to the entertainment to the pool, bar, buffet and a la carte restaurants staff, we could not of had a better experience! Say nothing of the weather. We highly recommend Trip Central and Sunwing Tours for your get away. Pure pleasure and memories that will last a lifetime.

Riu Santa Fe: Couldnt ask for more!

Food was great, service was amazing, lots of things to do to keep you busy. awsome time id definatley be going back to this resort in the future. Ive stayed at the palace next door and the santa fe by far surpassed my experience at the palace. Cant wait to go back!!!!

Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos: Beautiful resort with great food, some downsides

The resort was overall very good. The food was very good and in some restaurants excellent (such as the Italian restaurant and Buffet). The pools were beautiful and clean and drinks were well made. Our main issue was: the resort was under half capacity yet we were placed in a room directly by the connecting entrance on the main floor- where not only do the cleaners congregate at 8am every morning, and their loud carts all seem to pass through, but two separate events were held directly outside o [... read more]f our window/patio from 5pm- 10pm without us being advised at all! I felt this was pretty rude to not even be told there's going to be a very loud mariachi band playing for 4 hours outside of our room, especially with having a sick husband in bed that day from food poisoning (from off of the resort). It put a sour taste in our mouth, but overall the place was relatively attentive and quality was very good. Another odd thing we noticed was that the pools close at 7pm- 7pm!?! after 4pm, all of the servers completely disappear and there is no more service at all to the pools. We found ourselves having early dinners because there was nothing else to do since the pools closed off so early. Rooms are quite dark and bathrooms a bit on the claustrophobic side. It holds being a true 5 star.

Riu Santa Fe: Waste of $ and bad overall trip

Too many out of control college kids partying and fighting! Asked to upgrade and did not get any support! Very disappointed in this Riu which surprised me. I usually love riu resorts and have stayed in many previously! Would never go back.

Riu Santa Fe: Just as fun the second time around

I have never gone back to the same resort before but 2nd time here. 3rd time for my daughters. Great resort. Love walking into Los Cobos and walking around the town. Went on a glass-bottom boat tour that was worth ever penny! The one downside of this resort is - it is very dangerous to swim in the ocean. Pool swimming only I would recommend.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Second stay in two years and we will go back!

We once again took our four kids, staff are very hard working and try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, extremely clean resort. Great beach but not swimmable waves and under tow too large but great pictures.

Riu Santa Fe: Not our favorite, but still a great time!

We had a great time at the Riu Santa Fe. It hasn't been our favorite Mexico trip but we still really enjoyed ourselves. There were a few things that were not great, such as how spaced out the resort is. Its quite a walk from your room if you want to see the ocean, or go to the lobby or the pool. The staff was great and very helpful. Great entertainment as well! The food was not very good, we went out to eat in town a lot of the time.

Riu Santa Fe: amazing resort!

Was very pleased with the grounds, well kept clean. Rooms were very nice and kept clean with an amazing view of the ocean. Many pools to choose from depending on your mood, nice and quiet family oriented, water sport fun, swim up relaxing and drinking, or loud music party pool with lots of drinking. Whatever your mood you can find what your looking for. Food was pretty good no complaints, I would definitely recommend and go back. Best trip ever!!!!!!

Posada Real Los Cabos: Great place to meet people!

We stayed at the Posada in April 2015 and had the BEST time... the staff were great, the rooms and view were wonderful and most of all we appreciated the small-scale style of the resort. It gave us the chance to meet lots of great people from the States and Canada - great new friends!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: LOVE THIS PLACE.....LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

My husband and I travelled to this resort for a week and we loved it. If you are planning a trip to Cabo this is the resort to stay at. The location is perfect, your views are breathtaking, the rooms were clean, the drinks were great and the food was delicious. You can sit at the pool bar and watch the cruise ships come into the harbour with lovers beach and the rocks displayed in the background. We walked into the older part of town for some true authentic mexican food. We had tacos at a little shack and they were the best taco's I've ever had, freshly made right down to the tortilla. Lovers beach is worth the water taxi ride, it is beautiful with lots of sea lions on the rocks. Best Mexico Trip ever!!!!!!

Royal Solaris: Amazing resort!

The hotel is beautiful, clean, family friendly, the staff is awesome! Benjamin and Carols(air canada rep at the hotel) was very helpful. Jair the waiter from the theatre is the most amazing, very friendly, always willingly to help us. My kids enjoyed their time at the water park. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome trip, great resort

We stayed in building 2, which after seeing the 'party pool' nearest to the ocean, I was grateful we weren't closer. It was honestly, gross. Cigarette butts everywhere, empty glasses all over the pool area, and it was way warmer than the other pools, which meant to me most of the party goers were not getting out often enough to use the washroom. I wanted to go into the infinity pool but I couldn't bring myself to go in.The back 2 pools were really nice. The grounds were maintained beautifully, grass always cuts and trees taken care of. Everything was always being cleaned or was noticeably clean when areas were not being used. We could always find something good in the buffet , the Asian restaurant wasn't the best, the chicken teriyaki was not appetizing and the buffet option for appetizers was a little strange. But I enjoyed the fried ice cream! We ate at the steakhouse our last night, and after a confusion with us not being on the guest list, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We're from Alberta, with AAA Alberta beef so we were all skeptical about the quality, but we all left very satisfied with no complaints. It was a really great meal. Getting transportation to and from the resort was very easy and not a hassle. And it was close enough to town that it wasn't expensive. The only major complaint I left with was the bed and pillows. The pillows were very soft and were not comfortable one bit. And I never have back pain, but by the last few days, I started getting pain from the bed, not sure if it was too hard or not enough support, either way I was very happy to leave and sleep in my own bed the night we left. But overall, we had a great trip and would recommend the resort to a friend.

Riu Santa Fe: Lives up to the hype!

The Riu Santa Fe was absolutely amazing. Beautiful grounds, great rooms, and the food was very, very good! All of the workers were extremely helpful and positive which really enhanced our experience. The beach was beautiful and although the undertow in the water is no joke, it is still possible to swim on most days. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is private but close enough to other resorts to make for a fun walk if you want to explore. We walked the beach into downtown on more than  [... read more]one occassion which made for a great half-day activity. The downtown area is very safe with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Lastly, the weather was absolutely perfect. We came in late April/early May and it was cooler in the mornings and evenings but warm/hot in the sun during the day. I think I only saw a handful of clouds in the sky in the entire seven day duration of our trip. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning to Cabo in the near future!

Riu Santa Fe: great Resort

Clean and friendly, lots to do. beach is nice . car rental in lobby or lots of taxi's that are fast . Food is good as is service . very nice place , have stayed here 2 times , and will probably stay here again. close to town .

Riu Santa Fe: Great destination - lots to do and see!

This has been one of my favorite destinations to date! The hotel was immaculate, and the grounds were gorgeous. The pools were well maintained, and the chairs washed down daily. There was plenty of food selection and the drinks were excellent. The staff were very attentive. There was lots to do off the resort as well so you were never bored. Al la carte's were excellent. All and all it was an amazing week and I would definitely go back to the same spot.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great Resort!!

Pros: Let me start out by saying this resort is great. The service from check in to restaurants to wait staff and bartenders and room attendants, all amazing. The pools were beautiful.. The only thing I will say is that only one had a swim up bar so everyone pretty much located to that pool leaving the other two bigger ones empty for the most part. Also pool closes at 7pm. When you stay at the Palace you also get access to the Sante Fe which was definitely a little livelier with their activities [... read more] (and guests). But the food, resort, service, quality was definately better at the Palace. Take $10 Water taxi tour onto Lovers Beach. Worth it for the tour. The beach itself is meh... Con's: The only con to the resort itself was that I wish there were more daytime activities organized at the Palace and you will not be able to swim in the beach. The gym also closes at 7pm. The other thing I would warn travelers of are the time share people at the airport (tricked us into thinking they were part of the Resort) offered us a bunch of free activities. If you don't mind sitting through the 2hr presentation we got free zip line and ATV excursions which were great. Just stick to your gun that you're not interested cause they will offer you everything under the sun once you're there. Also be prepared to spend a pretty penny on taxi if you plan to go anywhere. $10 to the Walmart (almost across the street) $14 into Downtown for clubs or mall. We definately spent about $150 on taxi fares. That's it. This place is great. I would come back in a heart beat.

Riu Santa Fe: Relaxing Week

Room- Clean, great shower, well stocked, bar in the room but it was all Tequila no other variety, yes one says Vodka but it is not Vodka it is Tequila. They all had the same smell and same taste. No coffee machine in your room, would be nice if they would put them in the rooms. Beds are not too bad but not the greatest. We stayed in Building 3 facing the pool. I like to be by the pool area and this was central to lobby, entertainment and meal buildings. If you want to be closer to the "party" th [... read more]en Building 7 and the pools there are more active. This is a very family friendly resort so if you are looking for a just adults not the place for you. Try and not go around spring break if you are not looking for rowdy teenagers and young adults. For me none of that matters I enjoy being around people and noise does not bother me if I needed to get away from it there were other spots on the resort to be. Some people may find this resort too big and it is a big resort so if you do not like to walk a lot or can not walk a lot this is not the resort for you as there is no trolley it is all walking. Food- lots of choices in the buffet, I did not find the food that bad for a resort, remember this is a resort not a personal chef. The reservation restaurants lack choice and lack taste. I have only ever found one that I have ever liked in all the resorts I have stayed in. I do not feel they are good at all here. Evening Entertainment - Not bad the Michael Jackson show was good, sound system could be better for the people in the back. Staff - All the staff were great there I never had an issue ever. Remember there are many, many others staying there you are not the only one, they are getting asked for things all the time and it might not come to you at the snap of a finger but they do not forget. This is an average resort and it was a great deal at the time , There does seem to be a lot of young adults that frequent here and have little to no respect for their surroundings or others. I had the privilege of meeting many that were not that way but there were still too many that were beyond rude and disrespectful. The Beach - You can not swim in the ocean, biggest disappointment for me, had a great time but can say that I will not be back for this reason, I love the ocean and this beach lacks luster barely any chairs, no shade, no canopies, full of vendors waiting for you to cross that rope to chase after you. Although a very stern no thank you does stop them, and you can not swim in the ocean due to the under tow. I tried and I can swim not worth the risk as it is very strong and will keep you under for too long. The only place for WIFI without paying for it was in the lobby area and even then you got booted off all the time because of the amount of others on. Now being away should not be a big deal but if you have family at home you are trying to check in with you may be interested in this fact
