Loved this resort from start to finish. They truly treat you like Royalty, as first timers in Mexico we felt safe and welcome. From the airport shuttle to check in and check out the Royalton was very informative and make you feel at home. Great food with an abundance of variety. The entertainment was always top notch and the vibe team during the day kept you active and having a great time. The rooms were so comfortable and beds were great. Outdoor Jacuzzi terrace was great for mornings and eveni[... read more]ngs. The beaches were white sand with little to no sea weed. All in all, this was a great resort and would rate it absolutely 10/10.
Will be returning on our next vacation!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Excellent family resort
The royalton reviera cancun was a great vacation spot. The pools and the food were excellent. The location close to the airport was great especially with kids. Variety of food was one of the best I have experienced. Usually you get the same food 5 different ways, but here each restaurant was different ( our favorite was the Indian restaurant).
On the downside - there was jellyfish in the ocean that made swimming all week impossible. Also they do not guarantee 2 beds for 4 people in one r[... read more]oom - seemed strange. In the end they gave us 2 cots which worked out, but odd.
I recommend the diamond club if you can. Reservations and a few extras made it more enjoyable.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: So great!
Such a beautiful property. From the grounds to the beach. The beach is UNREAL! The service was AMAZING! Our butler Jazier was the most friendly, amazing person ever! Because it is Cuba , they run out of things here and there but no big deal, we just found something else. The beach grill was SO good! Thank you to everyone at the Royalton for making our vacation so memorable!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great resort and very friendly staff!
The hotel was great. The staff really made the difference and took care of us all week with a smile. No big lineups meant walking into dinner with very little wait times. The rooms were very modern and had lots of room. I really appreciated the big hot tub in the room. The 24/7 no charge room service option is a great idea.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Royalton Negril Review
My family (two parents two kids ages 10 and 12) stayed at the Royalton Negril this February 2020. Very nice resort, great food, great beach, wonderful staff. The vibe team(entertainment crew) and fitness staff made this resort very memorable for all the right reasons.
We stayed in the diamond club section, which allows access to a quieter end of the resort, although there are still daily beach activities with the entertainment crew. If you are looking for absolute quiet, this resort is full o[... read more]f energy during the day and may not be for you. If you are looking to have the kids entertained, while you read a great book on the beach, then this is the spot.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Good But...
Good relaxing vacation overall. Antigua airport is modern and efficient, lush greenery but not alot of flowers and locals are aloof but mostly polite (not gregarious like some islands). Weather was perfect and the sun is INTENSE!
The resort has an odd long skinny layout but the footprint is compact and very walkable. The beach was lovely, a small crescent about 10 minutes walking end-to-end with soft golden sand, clear calm turquoise water and lots of fish.
The room was comfortable and clean b[... read more]ut not oversized and soundproofing could be better. No bathtub. Upgrading to the bay/water view was worth it to people watch from the balcony.
Food was consistently good (not great) but fruit was disappointing and I missed not having a teppanyaki a la carte.
BUT even though I enjoyed my stay, I wouldn’t go back because public washrooms in the beach and restaurant areas were broken and out of service every day in one or multiple areas. Simply unacceptable for what’s advertised as a 5-star resort (but really 4).

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: I'd go again, for the right price
The beach was excellent. The one bedroom layout was fantastic, it was the easiest room our family of four has shared. Resort infrastructure is geared to families with kids. I would have given it 5 stars except for the awful check in. It took 3 hours 3PM to 6PM to get into a room that was NOT in the diamond club area we paid for (remember availability is subject to change). Other little diamond club inclusions were delay or never provided. I requested perhaps a alternative could be offed such as[... read more] other hotel services they said they would try..for says then never produced anything. I was very surprised. I believe diamond club was over sold. Still the food was better than or other previous 5 Punta Cana resort experiences and the service in restaurants and bar was excellent.
The Royalton Punta Cana was a fun resort with lots of activities and fun vibe. The food was amazing, especially the steakhouse. The ocean front was clean and well kept. Fitness activities were fun and varied. Enjoyed everything !

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Fantastic beach
One of the nicest beach we have been to. The grounds, room and beach were well maintained and clean. Very good food at the A la Carte restos. The buffet was a hit and miss a few times. The shows were average. We upgraded to Diamond Club and it was well worth it. Staff really warms up fast to you when you ask their names and start to talk to them. The diamond club staff were the best as they really went out of their way to make sure you were happy and quickly responded to all of our quest[... read more]ions or requests. The bar at Diamond club section is much better then small beach bar for the rest of the resort. We had no issue with Wifi (1 cuc/hour) and it was at an acceptable speed. Do not exchange too many CUCs near end of trip as Cuba does not allow travellers to bring them outside of the country but they can be exchanged at airport. Rhum prices are better in Varadero then at the airport. Our beach was the best maintained beach on that stretch.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Jamaica: Ya Mon!
Had a great time in Jamaica, awesome culture and weather. Pools and beach areas were great. Rooms a bit outdated at White Sands but good overall. Enjoyed excursion to Dunn’s River Falls - a must do! Food was great lots of selection but very busy and hard to get in at peak times for dinner. Zen was also a great experience. Wait staff and bartenders were great, check-in and customer service could have been better.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Relaxing and Amazing Resort!
This was our first family vacation - 3 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents. This hotel catered to all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was nothing short of excellent with lots of variety. We did pay to be upgraded to Diamond Club, and that was well worth the extra dollars. You were guaranteed a spot on the beach, had a personal concierge (to book dinner reservations, ensure you had everything in your room, provide suggestions for entertainment,[... read more] etc.) and Diamond Club Members had their own private bar.
I've been on many all-inclusive vacations, this was the first time with children. This resort is not for anyone that is looking to escape children, it is designed for families.
The Resort was very nice (unfortunately they were doing some construction which made it appear a bit less clean in some areas BUT it will look really nice when it is all completed )
The grounds and rooms were very nicely done and the staff was very friendly. Our favourite part of all was the beautiful beach for sure. !! Spent most of our time there.
The one disappointment we had was that we had pre-paid for our rooms several weeks ahead of our vacation because we wanted to be in a certain a[... read more]rea and to be next to our friends and have a great view of the resort But they gave our room to someone else even though we paid $70.80 US for them and we ended up on a different floor in a different part of the building from my friends with no view. Our friends got their room OK and every time we walked by I looked at the room I was supposed to have and I was disappointed Because it would’ve had a fabulous view of the whole resort and we would have been with our friends. When I talked to the reception about it they just said we will give you money back and they didn’t seem to be concerned at all So I would recommend when you get that email that says pre-pay your room don’t bother because you’re not going to get it if someone else is coming for a longer stay and wants that room. We were told we will get our $70.80 US back in 10 days so we will see.
It was not the best way to start the vacation but we did really enjoy ourselves. The food was very good but I would recommend that you not waste your time trying to get into the restaurants Every nite because they rush you through the meal and there did not seem to be a whole Lot of ambiance. The buffets were just as nice and the staff were very friendly.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Not a 5 Star
Just returned from a week at the Royalton White Sands, this is an in depth and honest review of the “5 star†hotel.
1. Rooms
- the rooms are small
- we paid for an ocean view and ended up looking at the water coolers and back of buffet, very noisy and we couldn’t use our balcony which my husband loved having a drink while I am getting ready for dinner. Half way through our vacation they moved us to an ocean view, much better although lived out of suitcases all week because it wasnâ€[... read more]™t worth unpacking for a few days.
- we got our king bed, it was pretty comfortable, I think there may have been a comforter on it to make it soft (quite a few people got 2 singles pushed together)
- there was a door to an adjoining room, it was a single door and you could hear people in the next room, at night you could see the light in that room so needless to say it was just like a door in your home, at 3:30 when our neighbours came back to room to party we couldn’t sleep.
- the bathrooms were tiny, only 1 person could be in there, a large shower but ceiling and walls were in rough shape, they just painted over peeling walls to try and fix, my shower was quick and I tried not to look at the dirty looking corners.
- they offer basic toiletries, better than nothing.
- our A/C worked good, I heard others had problems.
- frig was stocked with a couple beers, some pop and water.
2. Pool & Beach
- 3 pools, 1 adult only with a swim-up bar, it was pretty cloudy and slimy on top, not sure if something was broken. The other 2 pools were very clean and clear. The pools are cool but always feels good when you get overheated.
- people are up early reserving loungers, or we found they were tipping staff to reserve for them. Not enough loungers around the pools, and not enough shade, only a few umbrellas.
- There were more loungers by the beach and more shade with the grass umbrellas.
- Employees were raking the beach every morning to try and keep it clean. It was very windy the week we were there and one day a lot of seaweed came in and lingered in the shallow water, once past that it was sandy.
- Towels were a free for all, you could take as many as you want at any time so as you can imagine by later in the afternoon there were no clean ones available.
- Early in the morning before the LOUD music started you could hear the traffic a bit on the nearby road.
- Their were always servers around the pool wanting to get you drinks.
- The entertainment team had a few activities to keep people busy, I wish the music they always had around the pool wasn’t so loud all the time.
3. Food & Drinks
- the drinks were sweet as in most resorts
- no lemons or limes to be seen, just premade lemon syrup
- alcohol was cheap, I could have upgraded to Diamond Club, just for drinks it was going to be $30 US/person/day, and we are Canadian so add another 33 percent on that, it wasn’t worth it. Note: for Diamond Club with a butler it was $75 US/person/day, but that was booked up. The wine was better than what we get in Dominican.
- Coffee shop only open at 7am so a lot of people were waiting around in the morning to get a coffee, no where else to get one before that.
- buffet had a lot of selection, if not made to order for you, food was only warm even when we were first to arrive. It was pretty much the same every day though, we alway enjoy resorts that do theme nights so you are eating something different every night.
- A-la-carte restaurants, The Zen was fun, it was more enteretainment from the chefs, food was good, steak was very tough. Jade was very good, our favorite, and food always hot. Hunter, the steakhouse, dissappointed here for the time we spent waiting. Warmish french onion soup, all broth and a piece of bread and cheese thrown in not cooked on top. Steak was overdone.
4. Resort overall
- We were told the resort is 60 years old and it shows it, it was very run down, first look seemed OK, but closer look it needs a major renovation
- I don’t think we ever really saw people cleaning the resort, usually any resorts we go to they are constantly cleaning and touching up the resort
- There is a newer resort beside them they own, Blue Waters, it looks much newer but we were told you had to get the butler service with that, it’s not something we ever want.
- Wings A & C are the oceanview rooms, Wing B looked out back and Wing D which we started at looked at all the water towers and back of buffet and it was very noisy.
- Beware that your room may have the adjoining door to another room and it’s noisy
- We found the weekend we arrived and end of week we left they offer Day Passes to locals, the resort is so small as it is and took long enough to get a drink this just made it even more frustrating
Finally, we have stayed at many 5 star resorts and this is definitely does not qualify. Even though we started out disappointed with our room we made the best of our week. Only our second time to Jamaica, we hope to go back but will pay a bit more for a better hotel, maybe back to the Hyatt which is a true 5 star. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone with the expectations of a 5 star

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Relaxing ambiance!
Hotel had some construction going on (replacing roof near the pool and resurfacing the man-made moat system). This however, we understand, does need to be done some time! Buildings are old and in need of a facelift for the most part. Our Room (1402 and 1403) was comfortable and kept clean. It does require a Dehumidifier however, in order to keep the room dry (sheets would even feel damp otherwise) and to hold the mosquitoes at bay. (We emptied this tank 2 or 3 times a day, otherwise it was in t[... read more]he 'off' mode and not doing what it is intended to do). The 'Diamond Club Office' is small and very old. It just doesn't support the 'upscale experience' that the Royalton sells this option on. The staff at this resort are amazing though, as are the Butlers (at the Diamond Club). The Resort ran out of Orange Juice in the Buffet on Day 2 of our 10-day stay and it never did appear again. (Other food and drink items were 'out of stock' too however, replenished within a day or 2). The 'premium liqueur' the Diamond Club offers is also limited to their stock. (No Crown Royal, No Cointreau, No Gran Marnier, etc. The "Baileys" is their own brand, as is much of the other liqueurs). The food was acceptable although, the meat at the buffet was always overcooked and dry. I visited the Grill for fish often where the fillets were fried on site, and I could ask them to 'flip it over' when I felt it was ready. The Italian restaurant was a major disappointment. We also didn't particularly enjoy the entertainment. The day time staff tries but it's the same, day after day. This was our 2nd visit here (last was 12 years ago, prior to Royalton)... however, based on some of these comments, I'm not sure we would recommend this resort. Having said that, most of the Resorts in Cuba are affected by challenges and embargoes out of their control and not faced by other Caribbean Islands... and as the saying goes, "it's Cuba".

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort
We very much liked the physical layout. Rooms were all at the back and the entertainment area at the front of the hotel. It was very quiet at night; couldn't hear anything. Although the hotel was full, one never had to feeling of being crowded, unlike some other establishments. Being a new hotel, it looks and feels like some considerable thought has been given to maximizing space, at least in all areas there were spaces to sit and the beach was never over-populated. You could always find a [... read more]spot. The food was very good, especially the Hunter Steak House, the Grazie Italian and the Zen. Service in all the restaurants was also very god, staff very friendly. We stayed in the Diamond Club and we especially want to thank our butler Michael. He was superb. He checked in with us on-site 3 or 4 times a day to make sure we had everything we needed. He arranged our dinner reservations and changed times on our whim. We have been to Punta Cana many times and stayed in most of the hotels along Bavaro Beach and this was by far our best experience! Primarily the service we received and the physical infrastructure we enjoyed in the Diamond Club. We had a great time and we will return.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: The Royalton Bavaro Resort is Excelente
We stayed at the Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa from February 6th to 13th, 2020.
This was our 6th trip to Punta Cana and our very first stay at the Royalton Bavaro Resorts and must say this was our favorite of all the resorts that we have stayed at .
We were greeted by friendly front desk staff and recognized right away that this was a well clean well managed resort.
We had a great week had many staff that made our stay special and apologize that we don't remember some of their names, [... read more]
Thank you to Elaine Rodriguez from guest services who assisted with our questions before our arrival and also to Nikey, Erinson,Carlos, Marlene, Oscar and all those we missed mentioning.
We tried all the restaurants other than the Zen/Asian cuisine and found them all to be very good with our favorite being the Italian Grazie , even the Buffet food spots were plenty good with lots of selections. Java spot was excellent. Rooms are very nice and were cleaned daily and the linen when requested and the beds are mega comfortable. The bars fridges could have been maybe been more pre-stocked with beer but there are bars everywhere with lots of friendly pool staff to get you a cold beverage. The Lazy River was awesome and lots fun stuff for the kids to enjoy.
The entertainment was reasonably good and we really liked the local bands they had playing nightly next to the Martini Mix Bar.
We are happy to write this review and feel we have been to enough resorts recognize a quality resort and the Royalton Bavaro is one
We look forward to returning again on our next vacation.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Very good resort
Check in and out was flawless. Good pools and a great beach. Hospitality suite was a bonus as we had a late evening flight. Staff were attentive especially when tipping. Food was very good. We were told no reservations were required for the restaurants but timeshare clients made them and were always a priority which was disappointing. Overall a very nice place.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great Resort in Cuba
We had a great stay in February of 2020. The hotel is well put together, the staff are lovely, and the food is great for Cuba. The beach is also perfect. There is a lot of room in shady spots, and on the one day it was a bit busier, the staff put out more umbrellas for guests. The beach restaurant had a good selection of food for lunch, and the staff were always great. The rooms were clean and well furnished, though water pressure lacked a bit in our shower. Overall the food was great, and the u[... read more]nlimited à la carte was a nice change of pace. We didn't even do a dinner buffet our whole trip! We particularly enjoyed the Caribbean restaurant and had great service there both times we went.

Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Good Resort
I must say that the staff were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and mostly comfortable. I however do notice that the furniture has been well used and is now showing it's age and should be replaced. Regarding the A La Carte restaurants, The Italian restaurant was good food, the Steak restaurant was exceptional food, and the Teppanyaki restaurant had a great show and food was good. The last two restaurants we tried were however, not so great. At the Tex Mex I ordered and tortilla [... read more]soup and it tasted like I got a cream of mushroom soup with a tortilla chip in it. The worst was the Buffet. Breakfast, was extremely disappointing as many days there was shortage of most items including bacon, hash browns, yogurt, and some fruits. Lunch and Dinner at buffet restaurants had the exact same menu. Despite this, the food at this restaurant was exactly the same every day, with no change of any kind. The resort itself, was beautiful and very serene, however it felt empty. The pools were beautiful and mostly well kept, but upon testing the water with my foot, the water seemed very cold and the tiles felt slimy. The only major item with the resort is something that they can not fix. The location is between 1.5-2.5 hour bus rid from airport.
Overall, I feel this is a descent resort, however overpriced.
