Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Nice Resort

The Resort was very clean and beautifully decorated and arranged. The grounds were well maintained and kept very clean including the bathrooms. The room was very nice and the ocean view was fantastic. Dining areas were very nice and food very good with the exception of the Asian Restaurant. Entertainment at night was okay but limited. The employees were all very friendly, courteous and nice. Would like to have had a better liquor selection ie. Corona or Pacifico in all areas of Resort.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Beautiful Resort

Overall a nice resort. Older section (building 2) is a little dated and had a musty smell. Newer section (building 3) has larger, more updated rooms. A la cart restaurants were good, with a nice variety. Beach grill was closed for lunch all week. Staff were very friendly. Upgraded to “club” but not worth the extra money. Enjoyed the heated pool. Overall, we would return.

The Fives Downtown Hotel: Amazing hotel

The hotel was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, the staff treated me like I was worth more!, the food was out of this world tasty and fresh, I will return to that hotel again and will recommend all my friends to stay there in the future, I wish I could have stayed longer,

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Average and Over Priced

Rooms were nothing special. Unlike most resorts, no liquor in the mini bar and only glasses of wine delivered to your room. Top shelf brands were not available at the bars. Grounds were clean. Virtually no evening entertainment, unless you count Bingo and a disc jockey in the main bar. We stayed 2 weeks. Not enough choice of restaurants. Meals were hit and miss. We dined 4 times at the Italian restaurant, service and food was good twice, the other 2 times were awful. Similar in the Asian rest [... read more]aurant. All staff were very pleasant and willing to give assistance. Room service was prompt but the menu was limited. For comparable cost, you can receive much better. However, many people we talked with have been returning to this resort for years.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Secrets Playa Mujeres

We spent a week at the Secrets Playa Mujeres at the end of February 2019. This was our first time in PM which is about 30-40 minutes north of Cancun - the area is beautiful and seems more relaxed and secluded than Cancun or the Mayan Riviera. The resort is beautiful and well maintained - lots of chairs around the pool and on the beach. We spent a half day at the spa and each got massages because we got a deal (50% off) when we checked in...worth it with the deal. If there is one downside to this resort it is food quality...not that the food is bad because it isn't; in fact breakfast and lunch either at the buffet or the grills, etc. was really good. It was the dinners for us, they just weren't "great". We tried every restaurant and the food was generally underwhelming. I admit that I'm maybe being a little more critical because of the price we paid for the vacation (and we are "foodies" although we eat pretty much anything) but I just want to help in managing expectations as we did feel a bit let down after our evening meals. All in all, a really nice resort; beautiful beaches and pools, great amenities and service, good to average food.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Beautiful place-poor front desk service

We arrived at the hotel and were informed the swim up suite we had booked was not available. We were provided an “upgrade” to a regular room. We were told we would be moved the next day. Despite our strong negative reaction, the front desk person just shrugged. Management was not informed until we had a major melt down after waiting in our room the next day for 3hours, no information was provided. We continually had to call the front desk and speak to a new person, each time we were told 20  [... read more]minutes. Then, we’d have to call them back... it was very frustrating and was a very negative start. They eventually had a manager speak to us and provided a 25 minute massage. Sorry, but it was not enough. The rest of our holiday was good. The food was just ok, very salty. Staff were very nice.

Riu Palace Mexico: Yes it is a great resort!

The staff and ground staff were all excellent. Everyday things looked prestine. The buffet had great selection and we were all very content. The steak house had very good steak which I had not really expected in these areas. The other Alcarts we did not visit as you had to have long pants,and I would think dress type shorts would be fine with most people. Weather was the best I have enjoyed in many years, have stayed at this RIU about 5 times and the surrounding RIU's another 6or 7 times.  [... read more]Overall was an excellent vacation from the snow.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Everything at the resort was absolutely wonderful. Loved the stay and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely refer to friends and family and may even visit again in the future.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Great place to relax

Safe place to travel.with all the Madness in the world,good to know a little piece of heaven.Considering it was Donna's first flight,first Holiday.Many first were shared and enjoyed..The trip central staff are number ONE !!!! Thanks again.Can hardly wait to do it all over next year !!!

The Pyramid Cancun: Good resort

Hotel was beautiful, rooms were small but nice. Food was amazing. Service was good but there was none around the pools. When we have paid for a 5 star before, there was no limatations on booze type, we had to pay for top shelf booze & it was very expensive.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Good resort

We traveled with our toddler. It was close to the airport. The resort was small which I really enjoyed. The pools where amazing for accommodating all needs. The food was ok. I defiantly expect better food in Mexico. I wanted fresh amazing fish and guacamole and it wasn’t often found. The rooms were huge and clean. We had booked a king bed and we were very disappointed when we got there and received very tiny double beds. They said we “requested a king”. The staff was very friendly, however I felt a lot of pressure to tip. Overall I enjoyed the resort but my husband did not.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Wouldn’t stay again!

The hotel wasn’t great. There was no hot water, the power shut off one day at resort, the food was awful and the beach was full of seaweed. Defiantly was disappointed. Wasn’t easy to get into the a la Carte restaraunts and the buffets were packed. Not a happy customer

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing vacation !

To begin Marnie was an amazing agent. She was extremely helpful through the whole process and her recommendation of the resort was right on! The resort was amazing and was everything she promised it would be. It was beautiful with amazing food and service. Definitely five star.

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: So Amazing

Pretty much everything; wonderful restaurant, great view of the bay & beach from a large balcony. The room was exceptional; one bedroom with two baths; marble showers etc. Service was exceptional as well.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort - Royalton fit program gets an A+

This resort delivers on all levels, accessiblility, greening and mostly non smoking with the accept ion of designated areas. Very friendly service oriented staff - that just want to please - restaurants that I tried were Zen (Asian) Hunter (steak) Agave (Mexican) all very good! Moreover the Royalton fit program was an added bonus and the reason we chose this resort - wanting to maintain our routines we really wanted a well rounded fitness experience, boot camp classes, kickboxing, and spin clas [... read more]ses were my go too along with the sunrise yoga - which is worth the 7:00 am wake up! They also have cross fit and cardio an classes for those who are interested. Trainers Isis, Ariel and Francesco deserve s shot out - they push with a smile! Our room was comfortable and modern - shout out to Margarita who took good care of us and our room - I will definitely return - For those who walk the beach note - there is a lot of sea grass on the beach which hinders walking during high tide time - best walks are between 10 and 2

Canto Del Sol: Surprisingly impressed

We booked this resort thinking it would be good. It was, and more! The staff was friendly and helpful, everything was clean, the food and selection was excellent, and the drinks were cold! Very favorably impressed.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Fantastic Again - for my Birthday this time! Wouldn't spend it anywhere else

The hotel is awesome in every way because of it's "old charm" from the friendly and accommodating front desk staff, Management, bar tenders, restaurant staff and chamber maids. Can't wait to go back again. Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing Resort - Operational Goals Very Suspect

We have enjoyed the Barcelo Maya Resorts four times in the last ten years. We enjoy the beach, the buffets are good and and a la cart are okay. Holidays are for relaxing - our last stay was NOT. Between the PHISH Concert and The HEADBANGERS - Electronic Music (EMD) Concert we were woke up FIVE nights of the nine nights by roady drunk rude concert participants roaming the halls of our building once the performance(s) were over. Multiple calls to front desk to send security were placed each [... read more] of the five nights . I was told by Miranda the PHISH concert was happening after our booking was confirmed - NOT HAPPY. Why would you subject two people in their sixties to this scene. Staff told me that events are booked like this through out the whole season. Trip Central and Barcelo are both suspect in their business dealings in subjecting clients to this scene. The resort was really empty compared to other times we have enjoyed the facilities. I will be posting on trip advisor and writing to both Trip Central Management and Barcelo Mangement about our lousy experience.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Baja California

We recently vacationed at the Riu Palace hotel in Cabo San Lucas on the Sea of Cortez. This was our 4th stay at this hotel so we know what to expect. Our ocean view room was amazing, particularly at night with view of the town all lit up & from the harbouring cruise ships. Service is always great around the pool side, buffet restaurants & pool side barbecue. Great selection of food from their Krystal, Bombay, Japanese & Italian restaurants. The breakfast buffet was always great with selecti [... read more]on from the omelette bars, pancakes, fruits, cheese & deli bar. We were only disappointed with the night time buffet. The 1st night they offered lobster tails & other sea food choices. After that it seemed to go a little down hill. For example, one evening the crabs legs were still frozen. After that we opted for the a la carte restaurant with great choices on their menus. One of the particular reasons we enjoy this region is the consistent warm dry weather, we we find very comfortable for walking on the beach. One note if you go there. Swimming is limited in the ocean due to undertow currents. There are sections away from the hotel that you can swim in at any time. And of course the proximity of the town, which is very friendly & safe and is easily walked to by way of the beach. In the end we would go there again!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Not so luxury

This resort actually was highly recommended to us. We do travel a lot and I have to say, for us it was not the luxury we expected. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The staff is nice and accommodating. The rooms need some updating, especially the bathrooms. The beach is perfect for little kids. I like to swim out a bit but that is not possible since the water only reaches your waist if you are lucky. They have a mexican celebration evening but you have to pay to attend which was very disappointing. We refused to do so since it was quite expensive. We figured at a luxury hotel this should be included. The food was ok, for everyone something but no wow factor either. The shuttle buses between the resorts are a nice touch. All in all, i would not consider this resort a 5* Luxury
