Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Crappy Resort - False Advertisment

If you like a pool party drinker resort with 20 somethings running around drunk all hours this is your resort. I go for beaches and this one was fill with rotting seaweed with flies. I fell completely ripped off. The beach was filled with a strong odor of rotting fishy seaweed. It made you want to gag. I took pictures to provide proof. They had 1 or 2 workers trying to combat the problem with rakes and wheel barrows but this made no different. You would think for a resort this size and suppos [... read more]edly classy. They would have a machine like the other resorts to clean this stuff up. This forced people into the pools. These were kind of kept by staff. They would just add approximate amounts of chemicals to the pool. My daughter got sick. Was is from the pool or the fact hand sanitizer was not used by guests when entering the dining area? She was sick enough that when we arrived at the airport on our way home she threw up blood. This as parent is a super scary thing to see, especially in a foreign country. BLOOD ..Let that sink in I would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone other then party college kids.

Riu Palace Baja California: Riu palace

For my very first trip this place is awesome nothing bad to say about, the staff, rooms, food etc, everything was all around great it’s going to be really hard to top this place for next year if we don’t discuss going back I really would like to go back once again in my lifetime riu is awesome!! Thanks for the great experience!! Also if you go down to the marina I recommend eating at the where’s the food place WTF. Really great food and owner is great guy cheers!!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Awesome Resort

Incredible service; friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely detailed to customer service staff. The swim-up room was an absolute luxury. Very modern and relaxed atmosphere. The beach was a little bit of a walk however the main pools more than made up for this small inconvenience.

Riu Yucatan: Awesome time

We stayed at the Riu Yucatan from February 15 till March 1-2019 We arrived about 11:30 pm and check in was quick and simple. Rooms are a little small where we were, but you don't spend much time in them. Our maid was great left us a little towel animal pretty much every day for the first week,. In the front lobby for the first week we did not have drink service at your table which was no big deal. But the second week we had great service from Karen. They have 2 different pools you can go to, one a little more quiet and one that is hopping. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Decent & Enjoyable

The BP Akumal was a very good place to call home for a week. The accommodations were reasonable (beds a little to be desired though - at least in our unit. They were twin beds and not comfortable); property overall very good - everything was easy to walk to and close; you could always find a lounger on the beach; staff very friendly and accessible. The food, especially in the main buffet restaurant, was very good. There was plenty to choose from and delicious. We would have only 2 things that we [... read more] didn't like about the resort (apart from the beds). 1) Although we tried to book our a la carte restaurants as soon as we got there, everything was pretty much gone (unless we wanted to eat dinner at 10pm - which we didn't!. and sometimes that wasn't even an option). We had to settle for 4 a la carte nights out of the 7 nights we were there. The Mexican option is poor - stick with the buffet for dinner. Also, 3 of the 4 options for a la carte dining were not on our property - we had to go over to the Coba resort for 2 of them; the other was up at the Sian Kaan (Japanese restaurant). The only one that we could get on our property was the Italian. All the a la carte dining were top drawer (again - except the Mexican). Our 2nd concern was the beach with the lack of ocean access. Your only option is to swim in three tiny lagoons that they have marked off. The water does not get any deeper than waist height. This would be an issue if you have children as they will become quickly bored - there's no playing in the waves, etc. Your only access to the ocean are these little lagoons - and they are filled with people between 10am-5pm. My wife loves to swim and had to go down very early in the morning for a short swim as no one was in the water yet. It was a short swim because of the size of the lagoon - not because of time. Other than those few issues, the resort is very good and we'd be happy to go back. I'd give it a 4.25 out of 5.

Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Location Location

This was our 4th time to Marina Fiesta. We have never had a problem of any kind until this time. We were with a group of 4 couples. At check in 3 of the 4 rooms were not available. When you pay for a 1 bedroom Master Suite you expect to get what you payed for. Instead we got a regular room with the promise of being moved the next afternoon. So you can't get unpacked or settled. You waste more time coming back the next day to change rooms and then unpack. We were given a $100.00 credit for the re [... read more]sort ( that we did use.) We get our new room and there is no hot water in the master bathroom. Next day still no hot water. Asked again to have the problem fixed. Next day still no hot water. Asked again to have it fixed. This time we had warm water. Close, but not hot. Had enough. We lived with it for the remaining days we had. Our room was clean and comfortable. The food at all the restaurants was great as always. The location is what brings people to this hotel. Walking distance to everything. I guess repeat customers don't matter to management. That's OK. There are alot of other places to stay in the area and we will be choosing one of them next time.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Enjoyed my stay.

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The food was fine and the beach was fabulous. For me though, the evening shows were hit and miss but I was there for the day time. All in all, a good week.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Great vacation!

The SDP never disappoints! This was our second time a this resort and we love it. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and the pool was very nice. The food was plentiful and we could always find something that we liked to eat. The snack truck was one of our favorites places to grab a quick bite. If I had to recommend anything, I would suggest that you try and book a room that directly facing the ocean or just off to the side. I would also recommend for couples to book a king  [... read more]bed as they are more comfortable than two double beds. Ixtapa has a lot of places to eat outside of the resort but I would recommend going into Zihuatanejo as the food is slightly cheaper and fresher. We ate at a place called Daniels and it was fantastic but don't get me wrong, great places in Ixtapa as well. Overall, we will continue to come back to this lovely part of Mexico!

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Location, location, location

Hotel is well appointed. Location is within a few minutes walk to the Malacon district. Beach is clean. Enjoyed my recent stay. Staff friendly and offer assitance in transportation needs and offering directions to sites.

Grand Oasis Sens: Great Resort

Clean beautiful hotel. No 18-21 kids running around. Food very good. You have access to all other 3 oasis resorts with a day pass. Plan ahead for the Box restaurant. Bracelet not necessary. Study activities offered by hotel because sometimes you have to sign up ex. kinki boat cruise. Overall, I would go back.

Allegro Cozumel: A hidden gem

This resort is getting better everytime we go back love the updates . Its a smaller resort but what it lacks in grand lobbies etc it makes up with cleanliness great food and amazing staff not to mention amazing diving right on the resort some of the best in the world.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Beautiful!

We had an awesome experience for our first all inclusive destination holiday! The resort was beautiful, food was great, and the staff was amazing! We would recommend this resort to our family and friends.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Very good all inclusive

This is a new hotel by Riu chain. Very high level of service ( with smile) in all its functions. Food quality very high, cooking varies from good to excellent. Rooms well appointed, everything works. There is a stand-alone bathtub in the room, not sure why? Apparently a new fashion. We used a nice walk-in shower. This is an alcoholic heaven for those so inclined. Included is each room is a fridge with beer and four various bottles of hard liquor. With meals, unlimited amount of reasonable win [... read more]e and sparkling wine. Several bars serving a variety of good mixed drinks and a reasonable selection of imported brands. Around pools and on the beach a steady supply of drinks offered by service staff. It is fairly isolated. at the end of a long road, next to a sister Riu hotel. Nice beach but can be exposed to strong winds (depends on the season)

Grand Oasis Cancun: Best resort I’ve ever been to

The staff are amazing and friendly the resort is beautiful and the beach is reallly nice great food aswell the steak rotisserie place is better then the keg marble floor everywhere and wild peacocks on the resort are really cool the pool is huge and the Bebidas are cool best resort I’ve ever been to forsure

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Friendly Vallarta

This resort was great. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Rooms were well appointed, clean and well maintained. Food and beverage choices and quality were in keeping with the 4 star experience. The only frustration was trying to change currency and lost and found inquiry, had me running in circles.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Exceptional treatment of clients

I will start off by saying there are no negative comments on anything in particular but there's one thing that really stood out for me. My friend got an ear-complication after diving. Woke up at 2am and went to concierge. They immediately arranged transport for him with security to the medical centre. While there, the security guard stayed with him (a good 40mins) while he received treatment. Afterwards, he made sure my friend got back to his room and the next day, we were able to get the medic [... read more]ation the nurse had prescribed from the on-site pharmacy. It didn't stop there. While we were enjoying our meal at the Mediterranean restaurant (fantastic meal - highly recommend the lamb), a representative from the medical team stopped by our table. She came to check up on my friend and asked if he needed anything else. That means, a) they couldn't find us in our room, b) they went through all the trouble of tracking us down since we had booked our reservation, c) came all the way to check on us. That, to me, was incredibly impressive and I highly recommend this resort for their quick response, personal treatment, and follow through with their guests. Also, the food was amazing. :)

Riu Emerald Bay: Definitely a place id go back to

I felt the service was impecable, food was pretty good but I'm an amazing cook so I'm hard to impress. Grounds were well kept, beautiful. It was an easy place to get around with the beach being just a short walk out the front main pool areas. Cleanliness was spot on. Again the service 5 star and the staff well they make you feel like family. I thoroughly ENJOYED MY STAY THERE and would reccomend The Riu to other.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Great resort

We had a great time at this resort. The staff was friendly and helpful, the resort is clean and well kept. Our room could have used some upgrading but not a big deal. Limited amount of palapas on the beach when comparing to other resorts we have been. I love that everything is so close by, especially when travelling with a 2 year old. The buffet has lots of selection and the a la cartes were good also. Unfortunately could not go to the French restaurant as no kids are allowed.

The Local Hotels Mazatlan: Great resort!

We were very happy with the resort. Food was great. We had an amazing view of the ocean from the 13th floor. I enjoyed having lunch on the 18th floor at the outdoor area. The whole place is very clean and well kept. All of the workers were friendly and happy. If u are looking for a party place this is not the place for u. But if you are looking for a quiet clean and relaxing place - this is the place! This would also be a perfect place if you are in a wheelchair. El Cid Resort Castilla: Great resort

We enjoyed our stay at this resort!! Rooms are clean and staff are courteous to guests The hotel rooms are a little dated but as before resort is clean and great staff The food was very good and decent selection for breakfast lunch and dinner A little hard to book the a la cart restaurants unless booked at 730 in the morning I thought it was great value for the money!!
