Catalonia Yucatan: Fantastic Resort, great service

The resort is smaller than others I've visited and I liked that. The staff was amazing, the Transat service people were very helpful, excursions were good and very reasonably priced. We will be going back.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Fantastic Resort!

Just got back from a week at the Royal Playa del Carmen. I have stayed many properties across Mexico and this would certainly rank among the top. Location of the resort is unbeatable. You are right in the middle of the action and can easily walk to restauruants and shopping. The food at the resort was very good, many optiond for both buffet and A La Carte. The food was great and the staff were amazing. Lucas, Eteno, Mance and Geronimo took extra good care of us. Overall the service at the resport was top notch and I would not hesitate to return.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful and tranquil resort

The grounds are lush and full of flora. The pools are clean and quiet, other than the activity pool which had games and contests. Buffet food was AMAZING. Their communication via email was lacking. They would never give out the beach equipment (mask, snorkel, kayak) due to a "red flagged" beach....even in the calm section.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: The best beach ever!

Went with our little son Max, he just turned two. We had an amazing time! Resort is very clean, the food is great, the staff is very friendly and carrying. Speacial thanks to manager Joaquin, he took care of us through out our stay. The only thing we did not like is this "privileged" seating at buffet, the whole area should be avail to all guests. I would recomend this hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good resort!

Grounds, dinning, public areas and features are excellent: welcoming, spacy, clean, relaxing. But the room: too dark, mosquitos all the time. Before trip, we were offered the junior room with two beds for two women and we paid for that. It was documented. By arriving, at the hotel reception we were informed by manager that we can have only room with king bed. It was disappointing!

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: XCaret resort

Great resort the grounds were beautiful the beds very clean the only issue they gave me 2 doubles instead of a king but the food was good always founf something good to eat the only down was the beach not very big but the great pools made up for that and mcgill at the pool bar was an amazing bartender I ever saw. Thank you to xCaret for a great week

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Fabulous Resort

Travelled with my parents, mother in law, husband and daughter and we all had an amazing time! The Transat section of the resort is very conveniently located close the beach and the pool. Food and service was amazing.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort

This is an absolutely fabulous resort. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are great, the pools and area around are fantastic and the beach was lovely! There are so many different restaurants.. delicious! Very kid friendly.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing stay

The room was amazing, beds super comfortable with great a/c that felt good after a day at the beach. Over all clean and proper resort, was not disapointed! Beach was well kept and close to rooms, the landscaping was spectacular

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Wonderful time

This is an amazing resort, massive grounds, beautifully laid out with so much to do. Bring extra money because there are lots of fun things to do on the resort but some cost extra!! Wonderful resort!!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Very good resort..4.5

The beaches are outstanding...best I have seen. Service is very attentive and friendly. Food is good and the two specialty restaurants we went to (Italian and Brazilian) were outstanding. It is hard to book the restaurants, process is a bit cumbersome and they tend to be fully booked...so perhaps book ahead if possible. Rooms were excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort

The resort is really beautiful but way too big for just strolling around. We were there for a week and never did find our way to walk to the hotel lobby from our villa. The service and food were excellent. We didn't bother with the shows so can't comment on them. We had an oceanview room which although the view was beautiful, the room (especially the bed) was always damp. This was very uncomfortable.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Exceeded my expectations !!!

Absolutely loved this resort they have customer service and tourism down packed! Wonderful food selections options bars activities absolutely gorgeous property wonderful people ! Our rooms were lovely and the pools are amazing! Something for everyone! We are going back!!!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Fabulous holiday!

We traveled as a family of 4 (kids aged 6 & 10) and we were thrilled with our holiday at Azul Fives. Food was outstanding, pools were clean and never too crowded, beach was beautiful, rooms were well appointed, clean and fresh. We enjoyed luxurious treatment at the spa and the staff was always exceedingly helpful and polite, from Kids' Club to restaurants, to servers in the restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Catalonia Yucatan: Great resort! Awesome relaxing vacation

Many dining options with great food. Many different activities and bars for night time entertainment! The one and only thing I disliked was that our room had two small double beds and the mattresses were hard.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: What a vacation!

As soon as we got there, the shuttle was there to pick us up & greeted us with a cold one as a welcome to Mexico! 20 minutes later, we were at the resort. The food was delicious, from the buffet for breakfast and lunch to the a la carte every night! The beach is right there, clean and we had no problem getting a chair everyday. The only thing I would suggest is not to leave anything thing on your terrace cause we were on the ground floor and we had a pair of running shoes that went missing. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Ocean Coral &Turquesa Great Vacation!!!

This is the best resort I have been to in Mexico or Cuba. Everything is within two minutes of walking. They are also equipped with elevators and ramps for wheelchairs and those with physical disabilities. The beach is white sand with no rocks. The pols are beautiful.The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a large variety of food choices. I plan to return to this resort!!!

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Off the beaten path and worth the trip

The Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya is a resort different from most. Tucked away in a jungle-like stetting between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, lies this intimate, modest resort. After leaving the front desk and lobby, you soon find yourself peering into a zoo-like setting with lions and jaguars, then a bird sanctuary, monkeys and crocodiles.The grounds are unlike most you would find in Riviera Maya, with villas scattered and not the towering mega complexes you find elsewhere. One of my fa [... read more]vourite aspects was the very large ceynote on the resort, where you can swim, snorkel and kayak in pristine water. A great place to get away from it all...and possibly come across the manatees that come to visit every once in a while. The room I was assigned to was clean, with a generous two person jacuzzi , thatched roof and a bar fridge, stocked with beer, water and sodas that were replenished daily. The balcony was large with a hammock, table and chairs. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were abundant....it's hard to go wrong with Mexican food! Drinks were made well. This resort is not the party-type resort. The one lobby bar closes by midnight and there are no late night snacks available, so keep this in mind and eat well during dinner!Also keep in mind that there is no nightly entertainment as well, but it is easy to take a collectivo (public mini buses) into Playa del Carmen for about $3. They make change for you as well and are safe and very clean. Xpu-Ha will keep you walking, so be prepared to walk to get to the various attractions. If you are not up for walking, drivers are around and you can flag them down for a quick ride anywhere, or you can wait in designated areas for a lift, if necessary. Although the beach itself is rocky and not meant for swimming, here is a bus that every 20 minutes or so will bring you to a beautiful beach with lounge chairs, umbrellas and a great beach bar where they make fantastic drinks. The beach at the resort has beautiful Bali beds to relax on to watch the waves and the sunset. This was a really nice touch and is well lit and quite romantic. The pool area is large with a terrific snack bar, serving everything from cerviche to hamburgers. The bar by the pool is good too with fantastic, friendly service. In fact, the service across the resort was wonderful. This is a great resort for kids with lots of animals to keep them entertained. It's like vacationing on a waterfront zoo! As mentioned before, it's modest and not a luxury resort, but what they lack in 5 star amenities, they make up for in uniqueness.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent value!

The Luxury Bahia Príncipe Sian Ki'an is an awesome resort and excellent value. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Staff take great pleasure in catering to guests, the grounds are well manicured and clean. A la cart dining was the best I've experienced and we have travelled lots! It was a ways from the beach but the trolley carts were plentiful and we never had to wait long. Entertainment was good and lots of things to be involved in each day- or not. Sian Ki'an guests have access to an exclusive area of the beach and to all other amenities and restaurants at the other Bahia resort areas- you could have a different experience every day and not even leave the resort. I appreciated not being pressured to attend time share sessions this visit. The only suggestion for improvement would be to spend a little more attention cleaning the pool areas. Also, was a bit of a drive from the airport, but worth it in the end. Our 4th visit- had a great time. Thank you!

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful Resort

The grounds are well kept and cleaned regularly. The buffet was amazing, so much so that we didn't book our last la carte restaurant. The staff was very helpful, and responded to calls immediately. My suitcase was damaged at the airport, and when we requested maintenance come with a screw driver and hammer, they responded in 10 minutes. The bus boy upon departure was also prompt. All wait staff was polite. The one complaint I did have is with our room. We booked a swim up, which was beautiful, h [... read more]owever the room was full of mold. I requested we be moved, and we were immediately, however, the next room also had a mold issue. As I have allergies, I was very sensitive to this, and would not recommend paying for this upgrade. Speaking with other travelers in different types of rooms, they did not have this issue. The resort is combined - Sunset, Riviera, a family section as well as a small adult section. The swim up section is not restricted to other guests, and thus the pool area attached to your room can be busy. There is no open air dining. There is a beach area called "Chill Out", but it is not all inclusive. The lobby area is the only evening area opened, and this is a very large resort, so you need to enjoy a walk after over indulging.
