Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Love the Sunscape

This is our 5th time in Ixtapa and our second time at the Sunscape Dorado Pacifico. It does not disappoint. The food is excellent, service fantastic and the location is ideal. We see ourselves coming back again and again.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: The only Resort we have ever returned to and will again.

This place is too good to be true. There is a staff of 900 for a maximum number of guests of 1100, You will never be this pampered again in beautifully maintained gardens and beaches. I am a senior and can't stand loud music. Here you can avoid it completely if you want to but it is available for those who wish it. There is pleasant professional music until about 9pm and party rooms for the late night set. There are more pool areas than I have ever seen in a resort as well as a floating riv [... read more]er. Go to a different delicious restaurant every evening no reservations needed. At dinner expect to dress as if you are going to a cocktail party and gentlemen shirts with collars and long pants please. Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Can Hardly Wait To Go Back!

I felt so comfortable and welcome from the minute I put foot in the resort. The staff was outstanding and always helpful. The variety of food and various restaurants was more than I could have imagined. The day selection for day trips was excellent. I couldn't have had a better vacation and I will be returning to Panama Jacks next year. Susan

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Our new favourite hotel line

Doing research for a getaway with my boyfriend looking for an adults only place was somewhat stressful and I found myself stuck with analysis paralysis reading the good. the bad , and the ugly about so many different hotels in riviera maya. It wasn’t a cheap vacation and I wanted to get the most for my money in terms of experience and service. My rooom request “was not on file” but it resulted in an upgrade to a deluxe jacuzzi suite-building 5 3rd floor-loved it! The Italian restaurant was our favourite and Lillian’s customers care was awesome . We did not like the seafood risotto but all other meals there were great! No other complaints about food at rodeo or Tao..we never made it to aroma ! The on-site disco was hardly used so we went one night to the neighbouring resort (their family hotel ) and had a blast dancing there. Also had a terrific meal at Miso there We played tennis (luis was a great coach) enjoyed drinks at swim up bar-quiet pool NOT party pool (thanks Rosie.Jose and Herbaciato) went to 2 amazing dance shows-(forgot choreographer s name but awesome Job!) The concierges Lorena and Katarina took care of wine and swag needs Spent a couple days beach side and it was great! How on earth can people complain about seaweed-there’s lots but that’s nature and another good example of how picky you have to be to find faults here. I would say this is a 4.5 star having been to secrets in Cabo at Christmas which was 5 star all the way. That said we we super happy With our 9 day stay and we will be back for sure!

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Everything was as expected (second stay)

Friendly Vallarta is as its name depicts, staff are helpful and go out of their to accommodate the guests. There have been several changes, a designated smoking area on the beach, you are not to claim a lounge chair all day, and addition of restaurant as well as a snack bar. The hotel has an older customer base probably due to repeat stays. Entertainment is offered each night at the theatre which is a bonus if you do not want to go to town for night activities. Royal Hideaway Playacar: Excellent stay at Royal Hideaway Playacar

Five star all inclusive resort. Excellent accommodation. Rooms are large and very new. Clean and well maintained. There are six restaurants to choose from. And can be reserved when you check in on the first day. Gourmet food. Great staff.

Ocean Maya Royale: Great Resort

Great rooms,great food,awesome service. Wildlife around the grounds was amazing to see. Unfortunately Mother Nature took over the beach with seaweed but the resort staff did their best to keep up with the removal.

Allegro Cozumel: Nice place but food was lacking

Had a nice stay at Allegro Cozumel. Food was the only somewhat disappointing part. The Italian restaurant was WORSE than the buffet dinner so we regretted booking it. The oriental restaurant was the only really good food we had all week and it was so much fun watching the chefs cook and chop the food in front of us... a real show!! Highly recommend booking the oriental restaurant. We booked the premium level and had access to another snack bar so we could have breakfast outside by the water  [... read more]rather than in the buffet area (which had a school cafeteria feel). The premium level was well worth it! Apart from the lackluster food, everything was lovely.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great resort for family

This is our first time to Cancun and we were not sure how the reception is going to be but the minute we landed, it’s all smiles. People are amazing there and they sure know how to treat people. They have amazing staffs and pretty much all the rooms has beach view. It’s well worth the money.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Lovely site

Loved the site, the staff was very good and I appreciate their effectiveness and most of all the smiles they were wearing while making our stay a time to remember. Couple of minor issues, the fridges in the room are trapped in a unventilated cupboard and it trapps the heat inside making the units ineffective (warm beer). The pool could be a bit warmer

Grand Oasis Sens: Worth 2.5 star

First off, we arrived at the resort at 10:30am and was told to wait until 3pm to check-in. When we returned at 3pm, we were told to wait another hour because our room was not ready. Once checked-in, the room had a musky smell. Floor was not swept. Bathtub still had hair from previous guest. Room was humid and AC was not working properly. When the temp was turned down to 15 degrees Celsius, the room still read 24 degrees Celsius. The maid only makes your bed and does not replenish water, toilet p [... read more]aper unless you ask for them. At some point, it took them 4 days to replenish our water bottles although they specified that it was only done every 2 days. The customer service at the reception area was inexistent. This hotel is not even close to 3 star.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Nic e resort

Very well kept , clean . Spacious rooms . Staff was great very good friendly service. The main drawback was the beach , very rocky filled with seaweed and had a red flag the entire week . Entertainment was not very good and few of bars where open after 10.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing experience

This destination was amazing. Food, service, rooms, amenities and staff all 5 stars. Only complaint was they cut back on activities to fill in your afternoons in exchange for “experiences” like tastings

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Amazing resort

Our trip to the Valentin Imperial Maya was wonderful. The resort and grounds are beautiful. Nice sandy beach. The pools are great and lots of daily activities. Evening entertainment was great ! The food is very good. The staff is very attentive to details. We celebrated our 25 th Wedding Anniversary and the staff made it very special. Antonio , our concierge in building 5 welcomed us with a smile and made sure we had all we needed. Rosa, one of the waitresses in the evening was very pleasant an [... read more]d gave us excellent service. Armando , our waiter at the corner restaurant made our Anniversary supper special and memorable. Thank you, Thank you. We will be returning a third time to this resort.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort

it was very clean and well maintained. Shuttle service was adequate. the beach was covered in seaweed but did not impact our stay at blue bay. More control over guests which do not respect others noise levels. We were very fortunate to be on the fourth floor and could muffle the sounds of the noise from the parties on the first floor (all 50 of them) The food was very good at the buffet . Riu Santa Fe: amazing trip

this was such a beautiful resort. the view of the ocean is breath taking! the workers are soo friendly and helpful. I personally loved the food as well. i highly recommend this resort to people 18 and older! they have great parties for adults. it was a great resort for spring break!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good Resort for Families

We enjoyed our vacation at this resort. There was a minor check-in issue (the first room we showed up at was occupied), but they worked hard to resolve it. And we found the steak-house restaurant to be a disappointment. But the rest of the restaurants were good (especially the Japanese restaurant) and they have the basic all inclusive resort formula down well enough. There were great shows in the evening and lots of activities for the kids. I would recommend staying here, but I've stayed at other resorts that do it equally well and some that do it better.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Overall ok but....!

Basics of food, entertainment, service, and room were pretty good. Beach is covered in seaweed and staff could not come close to keeping up its removal. Water is churned and brown ....we did not enter the sea....we just walked the seaweed beach. Giant resort being built next door...at the concrete pouring stage. Royalton owns and promotes a "diamond club". It is sort of a timeshare and there is sales pressure throughout the resort. We went to nexus to book an excursion and there was a roy [... read more]alton rep right outside offering the same excurrsion for $100 less...if we went on a timeshare promotion. Another employee told me the house wine "tasted like shit" when trying to sell a wine upgrade package. Could not get a glass of wine on room service. You must carry your own up in a cup from a bar. Booking a dinner reservation at the Japanese restaurant was a joke. Must be same day starting at 3 pm. It was lined up and full by 3:06. Complete waste of time. Butlers are salespersons and cant help with reservations or much else. Clearly, these were annoyances to me but we still had a good time and ate well

Playa Mazatlan: Great resort

We have just returned from our stay at the Playa Mazatlan resort in Mazatln Mexico. The resort was very nice..over the top clean..the rooms were clean and great ocean front view we had. We stayed in the middle section of the resort close to everything and away from the noise of the town and the next resorts disco,no complaints..great area( walk out the front door and you are in the golden Zone) for shopping and restaurants. The food was great and a lot of choices,no line ups..Yay.. A la carts [... read more] were all good and the staff are over the top friendly and very helpful. We sat down at the ocean in our 2 week stay so the pool area we don't know much about( but always clear blue water and full of people)except they have good burgers,hotdogs and fries. The only dislike about the resort is the they have bands that play in front of the hotel(not on the resorts property so nothing can be done by resort) they are there most of the afternoon around 3ish up and down the beach so napping time is hard to fit in..LOL.. Maybe another suggestion would be an adult pool for guests.. There is plenty of children's pools and great fun areas for children that weren't used much,not sure why,they looked fun.. Over all a great resort..Would recommend a stay at the Playa Mazatlan. I would rate it between a 4-41/2*

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Absolutely Gorgeous

This resort was one of the nicest places that my wife and I have been to. The grounds were impeccable. The service and the people delivering the service were a 10 out of 10. We have travelled all over the world, and finally found a place that we will be returning to at least once a year. The food was great and just as it should be for a place of this caliber. The weather was just what we had ordered, sun and blue skies every day. WE WILL BE BACK.
